Ms. Fleggas is an awesome teacher in every way. she is really patient

Is VERY specific on how she wants you to write papers and how she wants work done, it was very helpful though! Will make you write at least three papers, assigns them one after another. Gives really detailed good feedback on your papers. Gives ALOT of grammar quizzes and bases her entire mid term on grammar.

She is there for you. Many grammar quizzes and homework. But they're easy.

I have enjoyed English with this professor and English is not my favorite subject. She's extremely nice and approachable. She is clear about her expectations.

This class is all about reading and class participation on assigned readings. We had 2 major Essays. She gives amazing feedback and really knows the English language. Plus she is easy on the eyes so it made the 3 hour class bearable.

Ms. Fleggas is a great person, but if you're used to making nothing but "A"s in English, it might be different this time. Given that this was ENG 112, which is a bit more difficult anyways, but maybe it was just the class. She does give out extra credit periodically, but be prepared to visit the ILC or REAL center. She's still a great professor!

She is a really good English teacher. She is very straight forward with her direction and she gives EXTRA CREDIT. She gives plenty of feedbacks that are helpful and she will help you out if you ask her something that you dont understand. We use TS/IS plenty of times, but not much LB brief book. She is super nice and encouraging about your papers.

I took her for ENG 111 and 112. Several papers BUT gives more than enough time to complete. Utilize her office hours and the ILC and REAL center guaranteed A. Does classwork and it's just a completion grade, but still do it, it's easy. Lots of TED talks to watch for extra credit. 112 has a speech at the end. Gives templates for each paper.

Honestly I wouldnt take another English Professor at wake tech. Ms Fleggas is amazing and is a excellent instructor. She gives a great feedback and grades papers fast. Listen to her and you will pass. IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND CLASS YOU WILL FAIL 3 ABESENCES AND YOURE DONE.

I took her English 111 class. She is organized and announces work with plenty of time to complete it. She gives extra credit and lots of help in the Real Center. She has helped me learn how to write longer papers and write with more ease. Listen to her instructions and put in effort and you will most likely pass the class. Highly recommend her.

Fleggas is a solid choice for ENG 112. She reads into each and every students' prewritings and gives really good feedback. Tough grader but if you get an 80 on each big project you can probably pass with a low A. classwork every day so show up!

Very good at doing her job and a very good grader. She gives lots of extra credit opportunities and utilizes them to replace homework and quizzes you might miss. Grading is done quickly and fairly and if you do all your work well, an A is guaranteed. She is very professional and strict but nice and is available out of class for office hours.

I have always had difficulty writing, but Ms. Fleggas made it easier. She is very clear about what she requires. She also provides students with as many resources as possible to help them succeed. If you turn in your pre-writing assignments early, she will give you helpful feedback.

Ms. fleggas is a great proffesor. she cares about her students and will help you succeed. Her papers are not hard to write and she grades them super easy. i HIGHLY recomend her. It also doesnt hurt that shes easy on the eyes if you know what im saying.

Fleggas was a pretty good professor for this course. She does give a lot of work I must admit, and she does seem pretty intense in class because she's really loud when she talks. But she does know what she wants and it's pretty straightforward. She does grade paper really quick which is great and gives out extra credit which is great too!

Took her for both ENG 111 and 112. Goes out of her way to make sure you do well, and provides resources to help you do better on each assignment. Absolutely loved her, one of the best teachers I've had.

I love Ms. Fleggas! She is so awesome. I had her fro ENG 111 for the fall and am taking her for ENG 112 for the spring. Three papers... all simple enough, just make sure you start early on them and utilize her outside class. If you do that, show up to class, and listen you will make an A.

She is awesome, sit away from her because she likes to yell pretty loudly but she is a good teacher and easy on the eyes. Lots of TED talks and she will look at your paper before she grades it but you have to get a rough draft quick and she only sees people in the REAL center. She grades essays freaky fast. Normally a day or two after turn in.

She was super nice and helped me when I went to her outside of class.

She is an amazing teacher. She's kind, intelligent, and no-nonsense attitude. She grades crazy fast too. Follow the syllabus carefully so you can plan ahead. She will like you a lot more if you participate in the in class discussion and go to her after class with any questions. Definitely go to class.

The best english teacher ever. I got A's on every essay I wrote. Easy A if you follow her grading criteria and converse with her about your essay.

Ms. Fleggas is great at providing feedback and you will see your grade improve if you follow her advise. As others have said, she grades crazy fast. Her ENG111 lectures are set up to prepare you for the three essays so there is lots of in-class writing of essays, peer reviews and opportunities to get feedback as you write. Helpful but can be dull.

Great teacher! Most of her assignments are an easy A if you put in a little effort. She was understanding and only gave me cause to be stressed about the class once or twice the whole semester.

Professor Elena is an amazing professor that she cares about her students and she gives them all the help they need. She is a really nice professor because she makes her students work a lot to make them a good writers. She makes the student interested and passionate about writing and reading.

Fleggas gives, like, REALLY good feedback on papers. But when I followed the general structure of her sample papers, I would normally get Bs. I got an A on a big paper only once and I figured out that you have to really read into the sources and become one with them. If you take her class, you will grow from her feedback.

The syllabus is well organized and clear and the papers require effort, it is not something one complete the day before and expect a good grade. Instead, she is always willing to meet in the office to give feedback, go to the office, take her advice and you will succeed. Students who put effort into this course become better writers.

Ms. Fleggas was easily the best professor I had at Wake Tech. She truly cares about her students. She makes lectures fun with videos and activities that you don't even realize you're learning while you're doing them. Her assignments are straight to the point with clear instructions and she is readily available to email between 9am-5pm weekdays.

Honestly i loved her. She gives super good feedback on assignments and her virtual meetings/videos are really useful. I'm with another instructor for 112 now and it's making me really wish I had professor fleggas again.

If you want to procrastinate, you won't pass the class. You should work really to get an A. She replies very fast to email and gives you good feedback, but in your major essays, your only references are ILC and Real center. Every day assignments don't change anything in your final grade even if you get 100/100.

I loved this class, I wish I could have taken her for ENG-112! She is very clear at the beginning of her expectations. She does look at how much you participate in class discussions so watch out for that. She also gives great feedback on papers! A tip I would give to you is to meet her in the ILC at least once, she loves to help her students.

My favorite professor of the semester. She gives super detailed and timely feedback on homework and drafts of papers and she met with me many times virtually to discuss how to make my papers better. She always seemed more than willing to help with any questions I have and was patient with me if I turned things in in the wrong format on blackboard

Quite a bit of a toss up, one the one hand, I've had much worse. For an English teacher, she's not bad whatsoever, but her instructions are not always clear. Her grading is much more focused on the machinery rather than the quality of the content, which can be difficult for some. For some, she'll be super easy, for some she'll be weird. Easy B.

I loved her class. If you take it my best advice is to read her feedback and apply it to future drafts because she gives pretty in depth feedback on prewritings and rough drafts of papers. I found the seated portion of the class helpful since we interacted with peers a lot and her. Any time I met with her during office hours it was most helpful.

Getting in contact was easy and the response to emails was fast. Essays were graded in a timely manner and very good feedback was given. Fleggas puts a lot of time and thought into the course. has everyday planned out which makes staying on top of work easy. the work she puts in is very respectable and in turn makes me want to put a lot of work in myself. Brilliant a f. AMAZING teacher and human. I had her for 111 and now 112 and have made improved grades on papers over time. I have actually learned how to write, to articulate my thoughts in print and out loud, and about many other different aspects of our society thanks to her class.

Tbh, this professor restored every ounce of faith I'd ever lost in myself as a writer and student. It's a really hard course, but she actually pushed me to be a better critical thinker / writer and I became better. Looking back at my time at Wake Tech, she is who I remember most as being who got me where I am now at a 4 year Uni.

Class is difficult, but all those challenges are required by the department of ENG so she basically has no say over the 3 mandatory essays or the handwritten final exam. She is so clear and accessible, in or outside of class. She is also very helpful! Her papers are punctilious and she grades understandably. I would 100% take her class again.

Great professor, but essay intensive as far as I can tell. I took it over the summer and had 4 essays I believe. Very nice but you will write. In a way it was a good thing because by the end of it I had greatly improved my writing. Generous grader. Excellent

She is a harsh grader but provides students with the right materials for success.Your grade will rely heavily on 3 papers (the 4th being the final exam paper). Pre-writing assignments were so very helpful, it is important for students to put lots of effort into these (as they can be so useful). I love that she's passionate about English and determined for us to do well in her class and learn as much as possible and the variety of the reading material was good. helpful when I went to her for assistance.

I had to withdraw for no fault but my own. Ms. Fleggas was lovely, but I don't think her style of teaching worked for me. It's very much self-disciplined, and I would often forget that we had essays due since the homework we had seemed so similar. She's so sweet though, I would take her if you're confident in your ability to pace yourself. :)

Excellent teacher who helps students grow. Her goal is to see all her students succeed in her class. Participating helped me become more comfortable with large group discussions, and I ended up enjoying it. She is not lenient with deadlines and late work AT ALL so do not turn in anything late or you will get a 0. Tough, but essay grading was phenomenal - quick detailed feedback with clear directions on how to improve. Several extra credit opportunities allowed students to succeed in the class. She's a great communicator, kind and gracious, and she created an excellent learning environment for me, if not the best. Positive, constructive, and meaningful.

This professor gave clear instructions to all her papers, also gave enough time in between each one. There was barely any reading in her class and barely any grammar. You did just have to take one grammar test but that was all and no other quizzes. Your main grades are on your papers, so I would make sure to proof read those and go to ILC/Real.

Professor Fleggas is good, I had her for both 111 and 112, she is very caring and she will answer questions that you have. But when it comes to the essay, you need to go to the ILC/Real Center because she has a way of grading them. She gives good feedback though.

We are always aware of what is expected of us and due dates for assignments. I actually made sure to have her for ENG 112 when I come back for my spring semester.

The learining environment is great, I loved it, she gives great feedback, tough grader, and listens to students. I waited to get into her 112 and was not able to so will take her later on again.

Professor Fleggas has been on point so far with each assignment, very thoughtful and assertive as well of how to improve papers for the future and she truly wants the best for us.

Very helpful by being very thorough about instructions and giving productive feedback on assignments. She leaves feedback on rough drafts in announcements the class from a quick review that helps but gives really great feedback on final versions of essays. Use her feedback from previous essays to do better on the next one and your grade improves.

To be fully transparent, this course was much more challenging than I had anticipated. The professor doesn't ask for too much, but just enough to push me out of my comfort zone. However, that's a good thing because growth happens outside of that zone.

I like her energy, she takes the time to know you, and she is good with feedback. As this class was one of the harder English classes I have ever taken, Mrs. Fleggas was always a detailed grader. She would constantly leave comments and other areas of improvement on essays, which I always took into account afterward.

Mrs. Fleggas's attention to detail in her grading is exemplary. On every major and minor assignment, she always comments on the specific or overall improvements the class could make. I also liked the uniqueness in her teaching helping us to learn how to do things on our own.

She is very good at mixing up assignments and allowing us to work with groups to understand and learn new material. One of the best instructors i've had this year! I learned in ways that I have never learned before and I liked how she mixed up the types of the graded assignments.

She follows the policies in the course and the work that we need to complete. she states what will be learned by having a folder on blackboard that has presentation due dates and paper deadlines. Feedback is given in a time frame that is quick and clear. I was able to take the given feedback and use it to help me achieve higher.

The class challenged me to identify problems in my writing and find the necessary solutions to achieve a passing grade on my projects and it involved a lot of always backing up my answer to a certain thought or idea, discussions or projects. It also involved lots of thinking and trying to further analyze certain articles, text etc. Enjoyed overall

Very kind and encouraging. It has been a while since I've had a class with such a caring professor. She encourages all of us to learn and improve our abilities in writing. Not an easy class although she also gives super good feedback on the rubric so you can use it on the next paper. I did this and went up 2 letter grades. Meet w her and use TLC.

This course is extremely organized, and she's very kind and encouraging. She introduced a welcoming and inclusive class, free of judgment, and helped everyone improve and learn from their past mistakes. This was a great class to start my online learning experience at Wake Tech. Professor Fleggas is a wonderful person who made this experience enjoyable. Be sure to read her feedback, as it was extremely helpful. I took the 8-week class, so it felt like a lot of work all at once, but the 16-week class should be better, I assume.

I've never had a teacher like Professor Fleggas. You can tell she really loves what she does, and it makes you want to work harder. I've never had a professor actually show me how to be a better writer like she did.
