Perfect prof for this course, she has no shame. Gives good notes but the book also needs to be read. Exams aren't easy but they are not horrible either. DO NOT have your cell phone on in class!

I liked her class....she was fun, but sometimes a little dull. Anyway is was alright.

Nice lady but she doesn't know how to properly use the mic in the lecture theatre. It is so obnoxious sounding when her mic gets horrible feed back. On top of that her accent is a little rough

She's nice enough, but don't be rude or forget your manners in class, cause she'll turn on you in a second!

This is my 3rd course with her, she knows her stuff. She keeps the class on track, and I agree with her you should not have cell phones on in class - I mean come on are you really that busy you can't turn off the phone for an hour?? and the chit chat in the class in annoying to the other students!

An awesome prof for a very interesting course. She reminds me of the "Sunday Night Sex Show" Lady. And come on, you're in university, not high school, stop chatting in class. Have respect for the prof and other students who are actually trying to LEARN.

it's like this, she is a great prof. her notes are helpful and her tests are average. the only people who don't like her are either people her don't study or those annoying people who talk during lectures and take their phones to class. she is really sweet and fair.

I don't care what you say, this prof is great. I loved the course and she made it interesting. The only reason some of you don't like her is because she tells you like it is. Just shut up and listen for once. Other people have paid to do this course just like you.

I think this teacher was far, very clear in both her notes and her lectures. The people who find it hard, shouldnt go into a 3rd year psych course expecting it to be easy

Great prof for this course, she has no problems telling everything like it is. Bit hard on anyone who talks, but great nonetheless.

This course was absolutly awesome. I would recommend taking it with Elena Hannah any day, she was wonderful with the course, and was very approachable. It was a very interesting course indeed, and the class discussions were relaxed and comfortable. This one of the best courses I have ever taken!

she's not bad, doesn't make it as interestin as it could be, class is a little boring, her notes are clear. at the beginning she has a good pace, but by the end she is in a mad tear to get it all done and will do a chapter a day... just don't talk in her class

Slow pace at beginning of semester, but at the end - she does a chapter a day to get everything done. Notes are mostly jot notes and sometimes hard to follow. She needs to CALM DOWN about people talking in class. Overall, a very funny lady and a very good prof.

Her notes and lectures were clear. I was really annoyed how she tripped everyone up by making the second exam much harder than the first. If you take a class with her make sure you turn off your cell phone and keep your mouth shut...oh yeah, don't stand by the door when she's teaching.

Very articulate. Very helpful with questions during class. Knows her stuff. I loved her analogies and anecdotes for areas of discussion. Her lectures were entertaining and maintained my attention. Give her a shot.

she is great.. very interesting.... doesn't mind talking about the subject of this course... very open and willing to discuss anything... shows concern for her students (which is hard to come by in this level of education).. She is an excellent professor!!! do your work and you'll do fine!!!

Boring but Easy! Dont Talk and be on Time!

Very knowledgeable and has answers for just about every question. Decent notes but some questions on the exams are extremely tricky and require you to know just about every detail from the book or notes. Wastes a lot of time herself interupting class for 1 or 2 ppl talking. very annoying for all

Well, her classes were good and interesting, but I think that she could have been a little earier on people. Some show up late for many reasons, but that is no reason to pin point them. And that class were the notes went "missing". I think that she really could have handled that situation better!!

She's a very good teacher and the course was easy, however she is a mean, mean lady!

Good prof I suppose. The whole thing with the 'missing notes' made her seem like an unstable drama queen. She knows her stuff but the way she does the notes on the over head is annoying and not very helpful. Her notes are garbage and she doesn't pay enough attention to the book. I still got A's in both classes but it took a lot of work on my part!

I don't understand why everybody here is giving her such a bad wrap. I almost didn't take this course because her ratings are so bad. What a mistake that would have been! The material is very interesting! She is a fabulous instructor and makes the material easy to understand. I just took the 1st midterm, and it was excellent with no surprises.

Great Prof! She treats people with the same amount of respect as they show her. That should explain some of the other comments on this board!

I had this prof for 2 courses. She is an interesting prof. Her tests are very hard, you never know what to expect, she picks her questions from little detailed things. When approaching her, she will make you feel like an idiot, believe me I went to see her many times, and she is VERY ignorant to you at times.....

This prof is great. The only people who really have a problem with her are the chatty ones. She's clear with her expectations, and if you're willing to meet them, you'll ace her classes. If you keep quiet during lectures and study the notes, you're fine.

Overallm, i enjoyed the course. However, she uses terms on her overheaed that she assumes people don't know (when they probably do) then she doens't tell the class what they mean, she waits for someone to ask, she actually stops talking and say "does anyone have a quesiton" . If she thinks no one knows what they mean why doesn't she just explain it

Don't listen to these people. Elena is an absolutely brilliant woman who knows how to teach. Her notes are fine. If you go to class, and study them, you'll do fine. Very fair exams, great instruction. Answers students' questions well. The finger-pointing she does in class is just to get the talkers to shut the **** up. I'm grateful she does it.

i think the class was pretty good..i found the 2 tests were fair..but i got killed on the final..i wasnt expecting it to be as hard as it was compared to the tests..

I loved this prof,she loved when the class got involved and asked questions, her lectures were interesting and she's going to treat you well if you do likewise to her. Ask questions, and keep quiet and you'll do great. her tests can be tricky, very specific sometimes but don't hesitate to take a course offered by her!

Elena is one of the best profs i had at mun by far, she made the course more interesting and her life experiences added to it! and no matter what anyone else says, her notes are fine and her lectures are better!

I really enjoyed this course! At times, she would emphasize *her* point of view though (mostly in the bith and menopause topics) and I felt she sometimes did not take other students' points into consideration. She can be a bit intimidating but I thought she was pretty nice. I enjoyed the class though and I would recommend her as a prof.

Love her. I thought she really knew her stuff and presented it in a way that was intresting and easy to understand. Also, not only did she know her material, Dr Hannah expressed a real concern for her students education wise and other. Truly an awsome women.. cant wait to take another class with her!!! : )

Overall, I enjoyed the class. The professor had clear overheads which held most of the information needed for the tests. The class is graded on two tests and an exam. A significant amount of reading, in the text book, but reasonable. I recommend this class.

She Does not seem to want to teach .... out of three hours a week we were with her she had "discussion" group one day and "presentation day" on another. A Teacher is supposed to TEACH! She expected us to write on everything that was in the book, despite that her questions were specific and directed towards one topic. I wouldnt reccomend her.

She's sweet, and always cheerful. I dont know why people say she's mean, she never once got mad. The class is really interesting, and she's really funny! You need to read the text and notes, but it's easy because it's all so interesting!

Great psychology prof! She's very funny, and the class is very interesting. She's clear. Print off the notes beforehand because she goes through her powerpoints VERY quickly. Exams were quite difficult. I reccommend her, though!

good prof, clear speaking and good notes. come to class as alot of random stuff can be onthe test. the tests/ exams are fairly hard so make sure you study.

Attendance is mandatory in this class very little comes from the text the notes are everything. If you want a proff who respects students and speaks to them as peers and equals, look ELSEWHERE.

Very good professor, lots of examples, went through concepts in detail. Emphasizes major course points. Dislikes interruptions to class in the form of ringing cell phones, distracting computer screens, and people disrupting the class while leaving the room.

Highly recommend this prof. She does go through slides fairly quickly, a good idea to print them before class, and she makes it clear that they are a supplement to the book..not meant to follow the book exactly.Very interested in student opinion, esp during class. Exams are difficult, but fair and reasonable for a 3000 level course. Great class.

She isnt the friendliest teacher ever! VERY intimidating, and she's an old woman. The tests were fairly easy, very good notes (although sometimes very confusing). Interesting course overall, but she could have made it a lot more fun! She is very cranky & god forbid you have to leave during class or your phone goes off.

EXCELLENT prof! She knows her stuff and loves to share it with whomever is willing to listen. In order to get a 90 in the course you must read the book and attend class. She mentions things in class that are not in the text but do pop up on exams. Highly recommended course!

This woman is like, 60 or older maybe and has no shame. She is so funny it is impossible, read an email a student sent her about squirting (didn't identify the student of course) but the entire class was crying with laughter I'm sure. She tells you what classes you can just read the book and not come to. Brought sex toys to class. Enough said.

Kept me entertained, very high energy, kept everything interesting. She took a lot of feedback from the class, the exams were very specific to what she taught and told us to read. Excellent prof, can't wait to take another class with her!

Great prof. Sounds like the bat on Anastasia. Go to class because some slides are in her lectures that do not need to be studied for the midterms. She appreciates student feedback about her course and is very helpful. Read the text though, this course covers a huge amount of material.

She is a great prof! One of my favouites professors, I will definitely take another class of hers. Her slides usually include summarized information from the class. She is always specific to what information the exams will include and is great at answering questions, she loves feedback.
