She doesnt know whats going on half the time, one day she will say we have a test & when it comes to it..she totally forgot! She has a bad accent and is sometimes rude

Extremely difficult to understand! tells you what will be on quiz/tests then tests on completely different parts. Forgets which class she taught what, and can be "snarky" with students. Offers to help, but its hard to get what she's saying. Do Not Take Her. I got a C, and I think she just gave it to me bc I never missed a class, and participated!

She is very confusing on what she expects you to know. She will think she told you something, but didn't and then will take large amounts of points off your grade & get mad that you don't know it. You will need to read online & use the manual. She does not grade fairly; two people can copy each other and one will get a lower grade than the other.

Wow, she does not go by the book but you need it in order to pass her class. She doesn't like to be asked too much questions and expect that you already know the information. however she does give practice test here and there to help you.

True about formulas. She has her own system of doing things and if you aren't on board, better jump ship because she's not one to argue with. If you do what she says (the first time she says it) and are very QUIET, you should do well. Let us vote on no final, but had mini quizzes along the way. Do your prelabs, reports, and pucker up. Entertaining

This lady is extremely rude and has no business being allowed in a classroom. She does not teach, she screams at students and is hateful towards anyone that dares to ask her a question. Honestly, she is the most unprofessional instructor I've ever met. Oh, and she doesn't speak English. I will be calling the Associate Dean of BC to report her.

This professor is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. She doesn't like when you ask questions and thro a fit if you do. This is by a milestone the worst professor I have ever encountered. Also when she gives you reviews to do the wordinglanguage is terribly written. I would never advise taking.

Worst teacher I have ever had. Incoherent, writes one thing, says another, means something else. She gets mad if you ask questions. She goes from yelling to whispering in the same sentence and gets mad if you ask her to repeat it. No real syllabus, only announces tests the class before. Miss class and you are screwed. You have to teach yourself.

PLEASE do yourself a favor and choose a different professor. Is it possible to pass her class? Yes, but not without a lot of unnecessary work. I typically have the attitude of "you get what you get" towards professors, but this was something else. Incredibly rude, AWFUL explanations, and left me with a headache after each class. This is the first time I rated a professor on rate my professor because this is bar far the worst person ever. She is very rude. Has no respect for anyone and expects respect like a queen. Completely insane. Talks a lot. Can't be reasoned with. Not a human being. gets mad at everything and hates that you even exist. I hate her so much.

Save yourself the headache. You have to read the book before each class and she expects you know all of it. Don't even think about asking questions, she snaps at you just to clarify something you don't understand. If your late she likes to stop class and gives a mini-lectures on why not to come late, will be marked not there if attendance taken.

Knew what I was getting into when I looked @ the reviews, when I chose this poor excuse of a professor,this lady is hands down the WORST professor I ever had! I have her for chem 1040 and she is the worst! I regret taking her so much. She barely teaches anything, she makes everything seem very confusing, and if you try to ask her something she's gonna answer in a very rude manner.

Do not take her! Not saying this just from my experience but almost half the class dropped out. doesn't help you understand material she gets annoyed when you ask her a question during her so "important" lectures. she doesn't give extra credit, doesn't help you improve your grade on a test. Makes no sense ever. Has thick accent and doesn't speak English well, so she messes up her lectures a lot. Never ask a question because she just makes it even more confusing and she gets mad. Study from the textbook instead, but do take notes in class. Avoid her if you can. She does not bump grades or curve but she did offer extra credit once.

not accessible outside of class, not accessible inside of class, terrible class. abusive, bullying behavior in class, no oversight from department head. just avoid this professor all together. it doesn't matter if you need the class and hers is the only one open. your grade and criteria graded will depend on her mood. why gamble with your future?

If you want to pass CHM1045 then I suggest that you do NOT take her class. EVER. She is probably one of the most difficult professors I've ever had so far. Here criteria for tests and learning the material is unclear and disorganized. I do also have to say that I took this course accelerated so that might also be another factor but overall terrible

Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this professor. Not easy to understand verbally which makes the lecture pointless. Work taught in class- not the same as exam. Study groups don't help.. Subject matter expert in chem but cannot articulate that knowledge to students. No compassion for the success of the student. My 4.0 GPA is ruined

I am currently taking her. She is a terrible professor. I had to take her because I had no choice, she was the only professor available. Her accent is heavy, she is rude, and sucks at explaining. You basically have to teach yourself. . DO NOT TAKE HER!!

Her English is awful so going to class and listening to her lectures is not very beneficial. She is very rude to students. Her tests are not particularly difficult as long as you read and teach yourself the material. Grade is three tests and final. She gave extra credit on tests two(+20%) and three(+10%) to people who did the practice problems.

This professor is one of the worst Ive ever had! She is very rude and gets upset when students ask questions. Although she is very passionate about the subjects at hand, she has NO idea how to lecture on them. You truly have to study in order to pass this class. If there is another professor for this class, choose them. Do not take her!

The professor didn't give many assignments and only provided four teats which if you mess up a little, you will fall. She does not have a clear syllabus telling you the dates of the test and she is asking what you should learn. She is aggressive in her speech led me to think that participating is an issue. Does not review either. Very unclear.

I am currently crying, she is knowledgeable but can not teach what she knows. There is no material,power point, hw, book, or study/review materials for tests. She is not organized and tends to be aggressive when lecturing. Please take someone else. shes a nice lady but not fit to teach this very hard subject! I'm a visual learner and she only talks

She is god awful. I read these reviews believing I would have a knowledgeable professor but she makes mistakes herself. INCREDIBLY RUDE, strong Russian accent makes learning difficult. I agree with those who say shes verbally abusive if you ask a question. Cant wait to review her on the last class so that hopefully something gets done about her.

I dropped her class so I can't say much about this course with her, but I can say she's the most disrespectful human I've met. Harrassed me of having memory issues and disabilities when I asked a question. She marked a girl absent for being in the bathroom too long (8 min). I read she was mean but didn't expect her to be that bad. She's that bad.

If you're planning on taking this prof for major reqs, don't. While her class is easy enough to pass if you're willing to do some studying (lectures are basically incoherent at times; accent is ok, it's the terrible grammar that gets you), she doesn't delve very deep into course material. Which is a problem if you need the knowledge for later.

Extremely unreasonable. Quick to anger. No teaching occurred, only follow steps in book. You cannot ask questions. She gets upset. There may yet be a language barrier issue. It seemed that often she would not understand questions and angrily answer something irrelevant. She does not review homework except that "you did it." There is zero feedback.

While I think she cares, she's very difficult to understand and doesn't seem to have a full understanding of the material students have access to. She gave us the option to forego our final exam and be graded only on our labs, which has turned out to be nice. Just read the lab manual and you won't really have a problem on the lab assignments.

Wont give any visual resources, just a 30 min talk per class telling you what she expects. Is too demanding compared to the quality of the class she delivers. Accuses you of cheating and is cynical about it. You have to learn the material on your own and find a way to solve the worksheet reason why She isn't a very tough grader. Don't take her.

Very disorganized. Had assignments that were locked and wouldn't listen to the class when we tried to tell her we couldn't do them until she fixed it. Only allows you to ask questions in her class which is about an 1hr/30min unless it is an emergency. She was very snappy towards the students. Switched to a diff prof! Would not recommend.

This professor is the worst chemistry professor you can ever take. She makes easy concepts so difficult to understand. Do not, under any circumstances take this professor. She is completely unaware of how to use learning interfaces and is not helpful at all. All the other negative reviews about her are true. Save yourself the stress.

She have no manners&unorganized. She really don't teach. This class was also online. You only can ask questions during class which was a good 1 hour and 30 minutes. Very rude to the students. Also, it's just a 30 minute lecture of her explaining the assignment. She's not a tough grader but you basically was learning on your own. Wont recommend.

Her class isnt hard cuz I basically had no idea what I was doing but still got an A. Tho problem is that its hard to understand what she is saying and her writing (virtually) is horrendous. Like I had NO idea what she was writing at all. The lab itself was just some pre recorded videos from another professor.

I learned nothing in this class. Khan Academy and Youtube saved my life. She gets mad when you ask questions, and doesn't even answer them. She has a thick accent and doesn't speak English properly, so it's hard to understand her. She assigned homework that she didn't even teach in her lectures. wouldn't recommend this class to anyone who can't handle a tough professor. She expects everyone to be on time if you're a few minutes late you will be sent home, expects everyone to just know everything and yells if you don't know or do something wrong, very hard grader if your lab isn't done to her liking she will get mad. She screams and yells when she hears load voices. Whenever we asked her for questions, she was so angry and didn't teach properly. Her class gave me anxiety and stress and NEVER and EVER take her.

Being in this environment was very stressful because the material is constantly changing and your voice seems to not matter. Tests were on martial we skipped and when I told them, they said I learned it in their lab classes which I'm not even in. Every time I asked a question it was dismissed.

When I had her as my professor in CHM1046L in the summer term of 2023, she would be very strict about the lab manual and the work that needed to be done in class. She would not help any student with any part of the lab assignment at all and she would get angry and yell in every class I had. Overall, just a very bad professor.

This is the worst professor I've ever had. By paying for her class you are doing yourself a disservice. Although I made out with a decent grade I didn't learn much of anything. The labs are graded unfairly, and it's difficult to follow along with her during lecture. Tests were not college level. I am totally unprepared for 1046.

In all my years at Broward college have I ever had such a terrible professor. As the reviews before this one, she has a heavy accent, blatantly rude to her students and anyone that accidentally walks into the class, and makes you learn most of the material by yourself. She doesn't teach. She expected us to learn everything at home and then know how to do the laboratory procedures by ourselves. If you were to ask her a question, she will answer in bad manner claiming she already explained that, when she didn't or wasn't clear about it.

I do not recommed. She expects you to know everything when coming into class and gets mad at students when they don't know the answer. She also makes students feel bad when they try to answer her questions. I don't get the point of this lecture if we have to teach ourselves. She doesn't even follow the schedule she herself created in the syllabus.

DON'T take this professor if you want to pass this class. She is a harsh grader, she doesn't explain what you are supposed to do for your lab very well and many times you will have to rely on your book to tell you what to do. If you miss 3 out of 13 classes, you receive an F. 10/13 is a 76% without the final exam counting towards your grade. Unfair

By far the WORST professor I have taken at BC. I swear she works against your passing of the class. If you want a professor who will help you succeed, do not take her. If she is your last option, consider transferring to another college. You will waste your time and money with her. Avoid Shushkevych at ALL COSTS. She doesn't want succes for you.

Had to drop this professor because she said she will not teach students and not give any lectures. She claims to only teach students individually for them to pass. My class had 45 students so she refused to teach, claiming it was impossible, and expected us to teach ourselves all the material and was harsh when asked questions. No laptops&phones.

This class got dropped on Day 1 when this professor said “ 95% of students will fail this class”!….Anyways, I would not recommend this professor even though she claims to be the best. However, don't want to teach a larger class…..which doesn't do us students any service. Good luck!

She does not teach and will remove about 20 points for each minimal error. If you ask her a question, you will get screamed at and told to read the procedure. She does not explain anything. I do NOT recommend her. I took the 1025 class with this professor before And I really didn't want to take her class again but this was the only class available... She always gets upset even when you ask her questions for confirmation, when you made a mistake she yells at you and saying you don't know the procedure. I‘ll never take her class again.

She thinks you already know Chemistry, while the fact is that if you take that class, means that you need to learn it. She is not patient and she accuses you with no reasons, and she is not available to help her students. I don't suggest her.

I used the bathroom in the middle of class and when I came back she told me never to leave the room without permission and accused me of "talking on the phone".

She has a strong accent kind of difficult to understand her but her teaching is not very throughout I learned most of what I learned from chemistry in my lab rather than her she kind of speeds over things and a little rude if u don't understand what she just went over

Her lectures aren't very good. You ask questions and she'll get mad at you accusing you of not going through the material, she also doesn't know how to communicate with students. Rude and has a thick accent. I don't recommend her.
