She's a pretty good teacher if you pay attention and show up to class. She's always well prepared with class and is a very fair grader. She's easy to talk to (since she's young) but someone you can really learn something from. She's a great teacher.

She gives a lot of HW, she expects u to have everything done! she can be very fair, and really nice. She is a fair grader, if you don't like to participate a lot in class...then u don't want to get her, she normally picks out names, and asks questions,makes u participate, other than that,she's good!

Ms Hioureas is a young professor new 2 SMC she is helpful & nice, but can be a bit picky on assignments. If u don't like 2 talk or answer question don't take her because she will call on u 2 talk & absences r a big part of your grade if you miss to much of class your grade drops and tardies.

Professor Hioureas is a part-time Prof. at SMC. She's really coo, plus she's so young and the most beautiful woman in the world. I am taking this class with her right now...However, I don't think i am doin' well in the class 'cuz am always late in class, but I do all my HW that by the way are so easy... MS. Hioureas is a very nice teacher. I really like the way she kept up to assignments and how she would explain assignments. I really did not know nuch on grammar and doing essay's but she helped me clear all that out. So if you need help on these parts she is a great teacher to take. A good teacher. She's very standard about what she says and won't go further in wasting your time with anything else that might come across as irrelevant. The material that she explains is clear and you shouldn't have any problems. She's easy to approach and quite nice, I'd recommend her.

Amazing teacher. She explains eveything very clear and step by step. very helpfull and she is always wiling to answer questions. I have taken all the courses below 21A so professor Hioureas makes it easy understand her material. YOu need to go the work to pass the class and do really good essays to get an A. don't waste your time and money. takeher

She's great, I highly reccomend her. She is very helpful, and likes to see students participate. Just bring in the essays one time, and do the homework, and you'll be fine.

Hot teacher, great teacher, easy teacher. There are not surprises at all, she will let you know what you need to do to recieve an A. She will help you if you need it. Everything is straight forward, so unless you're never in class or just so happen to piss her off there's no way you can't get an A.

She is like an angel who is really pretty and nice. She answers all your questions and is willing to help. There are many hw, including online ex. (really easy), and answering the qs from the main text book. Easy B if you do all your work and turn in on time.

Shes a good teacher but leaves a lot of homework. You can't miss Essays because then you get dropped! But shes nice dont have anything bad to just those stupid essays.

I took her english 81a class last semister it was pretty easy. I mean I got a fair amount of homework and the essay topics where good. No real complaints. And if ur taking 81a go to the labs and do the essays thats all I want to say.

so good I took her again during spring 2009. No complaints just do the essays and book work and you'll do fine.

Eleni Hioureas is a great professor. She is super cute, does not have a mean bone in her body. Because the school needs to see her be a good teacher, she is strict about electronics, but all in all, her work is simple and therefore it is quite simple to pass her class. Participate, and the A is certain.

Amazing professor! So well organized and helpful. She gives very clear directions & gives you her grading rubric before all assignments so you know what is expected. She makes the class interesting with relevant readings, group work, & peer reviews. I highly recommend this professor.

This professor is amazing and works well with students. Assists others and gives great lectures to help you understand the material. she is understanding and is great will helping you out with anything you need.

Professor Hioureas is really easy, 3 essays+1 in class essay. She gives really good feedback and advice. A+ is guaranteed if you come to class and do the homework. She gives tons of extra credit opportunities so there's no way you will fail this class.

This has been one of my favorite classes I've taken so far. Not only is the material extremely interesting, but the way she presents it makes it easy to understand. Lots of reading, but really worth it if you're interested

I learned a lot about mythology in this class and the professor presents the information in a clear and interesting way. She gives good feedback that helps you understand how to structure and analyze the information in your essays better. Even if you're not available to meet her during her office hours, she makes time to help you.

Professor Hioures Is a one of a kind professor. I loved her class. Though it was very challenging for me, she offers a lot of help. I worked for my A! and i felt like I really earned it with her because he doesn't give out that grade too often. She is very specific about what she wants. Follow her instructions and you will do well. Take her.

Took winter sem. There were 2 papers, 2 exams + final. Lots of group discussions extremely helpful with understanding the material. I hate reading and there is a lot but this class made the info interesting and understandable. She also helped by providing links to the text so it helped me save money on books. She's fantastic & really cares.

Professor Hioureas is truly a gem at SMC! I took her class during the pandemic, she is very understanding and it's clear that she wants to see her students succeed. The reading assignments are straightforward yet insightful, clear grading criteria, is more than happy to give feedback, and gives opportunities for resubmitting and extra credit.

Great professor. You have a lot of reading and a lot of work to do but all of the homework helps you prepare for the essays. She breaks everything down step by step and makes the requirements clear. You will definitely improve your writing and reading comprehension skills in this class!

She's a great Professor, who takes the material she teaches seriously! Her Mythology class was no joke, she doesn't just want you to read about the myths, she wants you to understand the cultural importance of the characters and stories. Professor Hioureas is a great choice for your English 1 credit. she's very nice and she just want to help to make your writing better. She particularly tough on grammar. When I took this class in winter 2021, We got an embedded English tutor and you got extra credit when you went to the tutor. She gives great comments on your essay (4 essays).

Great professor! Decent amount of homework with reading. As long as you read and take notes, the tests are easy. Grammar is important to this professor! She will always give feedback on what you need to correct or if something isn't meeting the requirements of the assignments.

Absolutely loved this class, you could tell how caring she is towards her students and how much she wants them to succeed. For our class she had 2 embedded tutors as well as an embedded counselor which was incredibly helpful. Good amount of homework but she was so caring and informative. One of the best professors I've ever had hands down!!

For assignments, especially the bigger ones, she provided a very detailed set of criteria that had to be followed, making it much harder to get points docked for missing something. There was a lot of reading and a lot of homework, but most of the assignments were pretty short and simple. It was also a great and fun way for me to improve my MLA.

About 2-3 mandatory textbooks and 2 optional ones. Lots of reading. Class is mainly analysis of myths. Exams are done on your own personal Google doc. 2 essays in the semester. Overall, very interesting course and she was a good teacher to teach it.
