Very nice lady. It was obvious it was her first time teaching but she did a good job considering the material. She was very approachable and really wanted the class to participate in discussions. Overall i enjoyed the class - two 4-5 page papers 15%each, one 10-12 page term paper woth 30% and a final take home worth 40%. Extremely fair marker!
BEST TEACHER EVERRR! Soooo understanding, nice, kind! She makes it easy for us, although all of her explanations aren't 100% clear, she makes herself available for any of our inquiries! She is not like the other teachers! Mrs Eeleni cares for us, and wants us to succeed! God Bless that woman!
One of the easiest Poli Sci professors ever. her lectures seem like a waste of time, but she grades very easily and minimal effort is required to do well. Just follow her guidelines and you will do well, and there wasn't a final exam.
Detailed lectures notes posted head of time!!!
What to say what to say.....huge waste of time. The class is easy...that is the ONLY reason she gets good reviews here. Honestly I dont see her being here for to long. Doesnt know the class material well and this is obvious when she attempts t lecture. She spent weeks covering the allegory of the cave....in other classes we covered this in 30 min.
Engages students in class discussions. Does not assign too many books but the ones that she assigns she covers in great detail. Very approachable, friendly and unpretentious.
Good course, love the ambiance, teacher tends to keep the class interesting
Great teacher. Enthusiastic about her subject. Very aproachable and helpful.
I really liked her and the subject matter. A very sweet lady trying to make sure everyone succeeds.
Take her if you like Ancient Greek Political Theory - she turns boring material into stimulating discussions.
Dazed and confused most of the time. Disorganized. I felt like she was in over her head in teaching this class. The only good thing is that she's a super easy marker and this class will definitely boost my GPA. My understanding of contemporary philosophy has not really changed after taking this course with her.
Too many books; Nietzsche’s Genealogy of Morality, Polanyi, Taleb, Kymlicka, Marx, Rawls, etc... This felt like a 400 level
Tough grader but very knowledgeable.
Great teacher. Fair marker and funny!
a good class enjoyed it the final exam was a lot easier than expected she was very helpful the graded the research paper and the essay a little too harsh she is a very nice professor i would recommend this class
lectures were pointless and we didn't even cover 1 out of the 3 assigned mandatory books. her TA did all the grading and no one got higher than a c on the midterm paper, i guess that's not her doing but it made for a really bad experience altogether.
Great teacher! the class was always interesting and discussion was constantly promoted. The material for class was all very engaging and interesting, i only wish we had had more time to cover some of the books. Overall great experience, this class was thoroughly enjoyable!
The teacher is warm, entertaining and thoroughly enjoying to listen to.
Great class, and fair marker. However, the material was at times obscure. Would recommend as long as you are willing to put in the effort.
Will take again.
Passionate and patient
I loved her enthusiasm it made me want to learn and participate more than usual. I especially enjoyed our lively class discussions. She is very passionate about teaching and about her students.
Great professor. Very caring and understanding. Exams are easy. because she tells you what it is ahead of time.
B is guaranteed without reading. One long paper and pop quizzes. She is like highschool teacher, just talks about different things and waits time. You get nothing from the course but an easy at least B
Eleni is gem of a person! She is nice, smart and caring. Her lectures, if you follow the class discussions and do the readings, are pretty interesting. There is a 10 page paper on a topic you choose related to human rights issues. I wold definitely take her again. She is always there for you!! Highly recommended.
Very approachable, always willing to help or find solutions.
Eleni is a very good professor, her classes were not boring at all and she always wanted students to get engaged. She also provided a lot a methodology for each paper/test. She wants you to succeed and will do her best for you to get interested by the course. She has a great method of teaching. Would take another class with her without hesitation!
Professor Eleni is really a great teacher she is always willing to help and try her best to make the class interesting and her stories was fun to hear. It was my first Phil class and I enjoyed it. I would highly recommend taking class with her !
If you can pronounce Prof. Panagiotarakou, you get an extra point. This is how Eleni introduced herself. She is extremely down to earth with her approachable teaching style. She engages the class and is open to having the conversation taking a few curves. Great teacher who passes on her knowledge in hopes that all her students will succeed!
Very kind, laid back professor, incredibly accommodating and understanding. Interesting course content and very nice and approachable
Eleni was by far the best teacher I have had at Concordia. She is extremely knowledgeable, competent, and above all else, compassionate and caring. She is there for her students 24/7. She is easily approachable; her office door is always opened to her students. Thank you so much Eleni for everything you've done. Highly, highly recommended. Amazing
So you just have to show up and take your pop quizzes. gave us one term paper and one final paper. extremely fun lectures because we never stay on topic and discuss current events and whatever we want. very lenient.
Her lectures are easy if you not looking for a challenging class. It could be boring tho. If you looking to get challenge don't take this class, she never stays on topic but some students like that so. For me I like to be challenge and her class was not for me.
Professor Panagiotarakou is an amazing teacher and I would recommend her to any student, attending Concordia University. She is respectful, clear, funny and the list goes on. Just attend class and you will succeed. Her final exam is cumulative; however, she gives clear guidelines. She is an amazing teacher
Professor Panagiotarakou is by far the kindest, most humble and generally chill professor I've had at Concordia. She's super understanding, and isn't shy to incorporate humour into what could be a dry subject. Her guidelines for all assessments are clear and doesn't stray. I highly encourage all to take her. Thanks prof, for making the semester fun
Professor Panagiotarakou was in a tough spot taking over our POLI 204 class half way. It wasn't always a smooth transition, but she made the best of a bad situation. While I probably wouldn't recommend taking her for Canadian Politics, she was clearly knowledgeable in her field and I would definitely recommend her as a prof overall.
Best prof ever! always there for you through email and office hours! excellent teacher and supports you no matter what! eleni is the definition of a real dedicated teacher!
She is also respected, accessible outside class, and hilarious. I loved how she focuses on 1-2 books for the students to fully understand the contents, taking her time and patience to get the most of political philosophy. She masters her field and is a great source of extra information for anyone who is interested to know more of the theories.
She's brilliant but her instructions/expectations aren't always clear. Many otherwise great students lost marks with harshly graded papers & detailed quizzes. Despite her reputation as easy, I think she does have high expectations. She is really kind & hilarious. If you've taken philosophy before might find yourself bored going over basic terms.
Professor Panagiotarakou is one of the best teachers out there! She will transmit her knowledge to those who are eager to learn, and will make you laugh while doing so! There was never a dull moment with her, her classes are fun and her students genuinely appreciate her! She is available for us, and there should be more professors like her!
Eleni is a knowledge prof who easily ties real life examples to her class material. That being said, she is extremely prone to going off on tangents. You do however learn quite a bit on the subject matter because she knows her stuff in depth. Overall a very enjoyable class.
Overall amazing teacher. She is very knowledgable about human rights and passionate about her teaching. Would definetly recommand her and would personally take her again. She is super appoachable. If you work hard in her class you will get a good grade!
The most authentic and humble prof. She is super funny and her lectures can get derailed by really interesting class discussions but this actually adds to the class because she is only going to test you on what is in the book anyway. Take her if you can!
Professor Eleni is very knowledgeable. Her lectures are interesting and well organized. She gives constructive feedback on papers and grades very fairly. She is accessible outside of class and gives her time to answer your questions. I really recommend taking her class, as you will definitely learn a lot and receive great feedback on your work.
The class itself is pretty easy if you do the readings. Professor is a bit disorganized and grades take forever to come in but other than that, its a pretty easy class.
One of the weirdest courses I've ever taken. Barely covered any of the material on the syllabus and felt as if I did not learn much. Though off topic, classes were enjoyable and entertaining. The assignments were unclear but graded fairly in my case. Not a heavy workload. 20% participation. Would not take if I wasn't an arts major
Only took this course because I needed it to graduate but I was really surprised at how much fun it was. The prof is so authentic, she's teaching you about Greek history, human rights, and life lessons all at once. If you want to do well just do the readings so you can do well on the quizzes. I would definitely take her again.
This prof jumped in mid semester to replace another prof and she did a good job taking over. The grading criteria and topic wasn't always the clearest but she gave good feedback and genuinely wants you to pass. As long as you make the effort to ask questions and be involved when something is unclear to you, you'll pass. She's very kindhearted.
Really nice lady. I just didn't feel like I learned much in the class. lectures were pointless we would almost never talk about the material and would always go into some weird unrelated topic. Super easy A I stopped showing halfway through 1 - 500-word paper 2 - 1000 word papers.
Excellent professor who cares deeply about her students. Really interesting clases pertaining to ancient Greek and Roman as well as medieval philosophy !!
Really enjoyable class and a very good lecturer, the only way to fail her class is if you try to fail, but getting an A+ will be an uphill battle.
it will be very hard to get an A but you learn a lot. Very interesting class
I took an online class (pre-recorded, usually slides not the actual professor), and this professor was a really tough grader. Even when she doesn't have any negative comments she'll still grade you badly. She also told us to consider ourselves "lucky" that the university was giving us online exams lol. Would def not take this class again
Do not recommend. She is NOT knowledgeable about her subject at all. All the papers and tests were graded by a TA so there is no way to anticipate what grade you will receive. The material is easy, high school level stuff. Extremely boring. She was personally offended when students did not show up but refused to change her lame teaching style. Meh.
This class is definitely on my favorite classes list. The lectures and topics are very informative and interesting. This class is somewhat the lecture version of a documentary. It will significantly improve your knowledge about global issues, concerns and general policies. TAs and professor Eleni are very helpful and give the right feedback needed.
She makes sure the material is understood and makes an effort to make the class a lot more fun and interesting. She is always open to help students and gives great feedback. She always wants the students to succeed and will go the extra mile to do so. Very kind, approachable, funny and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
(Online) Don't bother with lectures and readings. Lectures are really bad and a waste of time. She tells you which reading tests and essays will be about so only read those needed. Stick to the instructions and you will get an A. If you don't get a 10/10 on the tests you clearly are not made for school.
This prof makes the course REALLY easy. She gives you two quizzes (10% each). To study for this, you just need to listen to her recorded lectures. She even reviews before the tests and basically hints at questions she will ask. There's two essays (40% each). You need to analyze a speech in the book (speech 2-10 pages). Sweet & caring professor!
Professor Panagiotarakou is knowledgeable and it was very clear during our online summer class that she is passionate about her subject. she makes you think critically and logically with her papers. It is a course I highly recommend as you become a better writer for it
I had her lectures as online videos because of Covid BUT the lectures where still so engaging and funny that you werent bored. She also had office hours every week on zoom to make sure any questions and topics were answered. Also the most understanding professor Ive ever had
Professor Eleni's class is surely one of the most challenging classes i have taken, but it is also one in which I learned greatly. Her instrcutions are clear and with the help of her teaching assistant she gave feedback on how to improve furture papers. If you do the readings and attend class as usual you will do good. Opened and accessible teacher
Honestly one of the best teachers in Concordia, shes very insightful, always manages to keep you entertained and interested in the class. Shes easy to communicate to outside of class, and gives great feedback. I urge every poli sci student to take her
Fun class to attend, participation really matters. The prof is very approachable and always there to help. She is Very Clear on what is expected from her students. If you simply do as asked, this class might be a gpa booster. Her expectations are clearly communicated, which is not always the case with some profs. I strongly recommend her classes!
This was one of my favorite classes at Concordia! Professor Eleni is an amazing teacher, helpful, and cares about her students. The course material and books were interesting and the assignments were extremely fair. I highly recommend taking this class.
her lectures and requirements were straightforward, easy to meet during office hours. she doesn't babble about unnecessary topics, remains relevant to the subject. To pass the quizzes are reading the books or watching the lectures, and same goes for the essays. She is very clear and helpful, great professor for your first semester.
Taken remote asynchronous in F2021. Lectures through Yuja. Course felt a bit disorganized, difficult to get on track at first, and no access to peers. Dr. Panagiotarakou makes her lectures easy, and is good at breaking down the texts. Readings: 40+ pgs/wk. 2 quizzes and 2 papers. Recommended if you're good at writing political/philosophical essays.
This was my third time taking this teacher. I seriously do not recommend her. She does not do any Zoom. During her prerecorded lecture she reads word for word the slides. The slides are copy paste of the readings. Easy A, but if youre looking for an interesting class I would seriously pass.
Class was asynchronous for both classes taken with Prof (also took PHIL 241). Didn't watch lectures because she just reads off slides and they aren't very helpful. Evaluated based off 2x10% quizzes and 2x40% Essays. Easy class to get high grades but didn't learn much and no peers to talk to.
The class I had with Eleni was completely asynchronous, meaning that our class was done completely online and remotely. She posts weekly lectures online and you have to do weekly readings but overall a very easy class. We were graded through two essays and two quizzes which were not cumulative. I recommend her!
I didnt think I would enjoy a political theory class but ended up loving the material we covered. She was also super nice and helpful when it came to feedback on assignments.
This courses lectures are boring, unintuitive, and have little to no substance within them. The whole course just feels like little to no work has been put in it.Instructions, which are very important in an online course, have such intense mistakes that it makes me question if she even read them over once. Vague, boring, and weirdly difficult grader
While there is a decent amount of material to cover it's thorough and clear. She is supportive and wants her students to succeed. She allowed me the opportunity to improve an error I had made on an assignment. If you want a teacher who cares and will take the time to work with you, you found it with her! :)
This class was very easy compared to the other Poli Sci classes I have taken. I learned a lot more from the two books than from the actual lectures. What makes her a great prof. in my mind is that she lays out the criteria for grading very clearly even providing example essays for grades A-D. There was one paper and then a quiz very week(very easy)
I had a pretty unique experience with Eleni. She is a very kind and pleasant woman, but not a great professor in my experience. Lectures rarely have much to do with the material. They are fun, but not so informative. TA's marked all my assignments, so I cannot speak to her marking. But she just seems bored with the material.
She is pleasant, friendly, but her classes are extremely disorganized. Her reading list is long, so is the list of references, but her lectures covered very little, less than one fifth of the materials. The first 2-3 weeks of classes were just chit-chatting without teaching, at least nothing serious.
Professor Panagiotakarou is a motivated and enthusiastic teacher who is very passionate about western political theory. She is very knowledgeable and teaches the class material using clear examples and videos. She cares about her students and is accomodating. Would definitely recommend her!
Fantastic prof, makes topics thank can be boring easy to understand if you have no prior knowledge. She is also very passionate about her job and wants nothing but to help you succeed in her class.
Nice person, poorly organized, ill prepared for lectures.
I've taken Prof Eleni 3 times, she's great and cares about her student's success! Her courses consist of 2 papers (40% each) + 2 quizzes (10% each), which makes the workload very easy to manage. Her lectures are uploaded online, allowing you to study on your own time. She responds to emails within 30 minutes and helps students as much as she can!
Very kind and understanding professor. Dr. Panagiotarakou does her very best to accommodate students & is very approachable. Enjoyed her lectures & she would bring treats to class! Would definitely recommend! Classes were split between asynchronous & she also allowed zoom access to those who could not attend in person. 6 quizzes worth 10% & 1 final
Good professor, She was really kind, and she answered every question I asked immediately and patiently.
Majority of lectures was reading verbatim from the assigned philosopher's essay. Did not unpack concepts. Did not finish lectures before class period ended. Was not receptive to feedback from class suggesting group discussion to help understand topics. Only redeeming factor: gave extensions liberally and content could be learned on YouTube.
The lectures consisted of reading off the powerpoints without much context to it or going off topic to something completely irrelevant to the class materials. Moreover, there was zero guidance was provided for the essays.. It was disappointing because i enjoy philosophy but unfortunately i did not learn much during this class.
Ms.Panagiatarakou was accommodating when handling multiple midterms! Grading and difficulty was average . Exercise caution with the infographic assignment. Google good example templates. I suggest that you watch the video lectures twice before doing the online quiz.
I honestly loved her! She was so understanding and gave us extensions as well on our assignments. this was right before COVID and once it hit us, she spent an hour on zoom talking to us and making conversations so we would feel better about the circumstances. Honestly the most understanding teacher i had in a long time. Take her!!!!
very interesting course and original assignments!
Willing to help students and is very accessible outside of class.
Chill teacher, yes, she's not super organized, but half of y'all complaining about her are seeming like you need a baby-sitter in University; grow up. Lectures are a bit long, but all the info is there to do well. Funny in her lectures as well, and the material was a breeze. Highly recommend her for POLI 206.
Interesting lectures and very understanding. The TA for my section was an extremely harsh grader, but I was permitted by the professor to rewrite my essay with her feedback as well as the TA's. I have never seen a professor do this, and it was incredibly comforting to know that she cares enough to give you an opportunity to improve.
Loved this class, very interesting content, and the teacher is the sweetest ever! everything was clear from the start, the grading was fair, and she allowed rewrites and was very approachable. even though this is my first Political science class it was fun, I would do it again if I could
Professor offers engaging lectures. Welcomes participation and discussion. Wants you to succeed. Very kind when it comes to extensions!
There was a lot of readings assigned to the course. She goes over them in class. The material was easy to follow.
Althought the participation is mandatory as it counted for 20% of the final grade. The boring lectures which consists only of reading from powerpoint slides filled up with images does not motivate you to show up to class.
Professor Panagiotarakou deeply cares for her students, she gives very interesting lectures and grades papers fairly.
Professor Panagiotarakou is very accommodating to students, she makes all readings available at no additional cost on Course Reserves and makes classes more entertaining with several video and illustration examples, podcasts and presentations.
The most disorganized & ill-prepared course I'd ever taken. She talks, a bit too much, about things that are totally irrelevant. She tried to use examples to clarify certain ideas but she often can only remember fragmented details & wasn't too sure . If you want to learn, try someone else. If you want to make friend, her course might fit you.
Professor Eleni is extremely compassionate & understanding. Every class she asks us how we are doing, taking into consideration that her students do endure a heavy amount of workload. Not only she gave us 1 but 2 extensions on a paper!!! I even handed mine late and she still accepted it. Her classes are very relaxing. Lenient grader!
Disappointment/Waste of money and time/Extremely disorganized/The way of teaching is not clear/Does not have a solid understanding of what she is teaching/Does not know how to answer student questions/Will not let you finish your thoughts/She will read every single word from the pdfs and makes mistakes reading/Shares her family story/Not helpful
Eleni is a kind person - I do not doubt her intelligence. That said, attendance is mandatory but lectures are just reciting slide shows (which lack depth in my opinion). We often lose track of time and it becomes hard to follow. This is not a class on human rights, its a course on classical studies...watered down feminism (and personal anecdotes).
Great teacher. She even let us vote on a a group project or a 20% participation grade - we chose the participation grade. Workload very managable. Her subject matter is interesting and not too heavy for this course. she's extremely understanding if you talk to her as well and is always willing to help. Highly recommend.
If you just want an easy A, she is for you. The workload is super manageable but her classes are unbearably boring and attendance takes 20% of your grade. She is super unprepared and just reads slides. Literally a waste of time but great to get an A
Want to learn nothing? take this porf! does nothing always late and not prepared. struggles explaining give weird examples and wastes time...
Clear and interesting lectures, where we discuss, present arguments and even laugh. Beautiful atmosphere in class. The professor encourages participation, and attendance (graded: you get 2-3 absence), and is very understanding in situations. I had the opportunity to have a re-grading for a bad grade and had to revise my essay, with plenty of time.
Very unorganized. If you did the readings you did more to prepare for the "lecture" than her.
3rd course w/ her. Guaranteed A if you participate in class discussion and know how to write a decent paper. Very low expectations for 300-level course, so easy. Very knowledgeable in Greek phil, so lectures often steered towards Plato etc. Did I learn a lot of contemporary philosophy? Nah. But every week I showed up stress-free and left stimulated
I've had Eleni 2 times now and she is fantastic! Philosophy is a challenging subject, but Eleni made it fun and easy to learn by providing a positive and entertaining environment, encouraging participation and discussion between peers, and very detailed - informative - and helpful lectures. I highly recommend taking her class :)
She is an awesome professor. She is very kind, caring and understanding. At first, attending her 8:45 am classes was not fun because I am not a morning person. However, her classes did not disappoint; always providing fun, insightful, and well - thought out lectures.
Unorganized lectures are boring and mostly compilation of YouTube videos. Prof seems to have a hard time with the English language
Unprofessional professor late each time. Seems to have a difficult time explaining her thoughts. Always resorting to YouTube for explanation
Taking a course with her was one of the best decisions I made before graduating. She is very knowledgeable and explores various studies critically, explaining things in detail. She returned grades quickly with constructive feedback and encouraged participation. It was a pleasure to learn from her
I don't knw where to start when it comes to Professor Eleni. Her teaching style is what the university needs. She is a well of knowledge and she is one of my favorite professors. She does not require students to purchase expensive textbooks cus she knows the struggle. She gives us extensions when needed. She genuinely cares about students
Professor Eleni kept me sane during this hectic semester. She's soft, knowledgeable, caring, understanding, and entertaining. Her class was the only class I looked forward to this semester. I already took two classes with her and I would again If I could. 100/100 would recommend.
If you want a professor to actually teach you something, she's the one for you.
LOVED LOVED LOVED her POLI208 class. Very informative and interesting. The quizzes are easy, the lectures are interesting, and the research paper is very fun to do. The final was an OPED and very fun to do also. She answers back very quickly and TAs give back good fredback and clear grading rubric. Would take again and recommend to everybody.
Our TA did a great job teaching this course during conferences. Prof Eleni's lectures are a waste of time. Attendance is mandatory. I skipped her lectures, risking the 20% penalty because I couldn't stand being more prepared than the professor for the lectures. This is my 2nd class with her and both times I felt I was better off without her input.
The material and content she provides to us are great, often time she doesn't have a TA. She understands what is it to be a student, and she is very very very flexible. Her requirements and grading are fair, she provides substantial feedback. Overall, I would recommend taking her for credit.
I took her class during the winter semester 2023 and I learned a lot. I had a lot of fun doing my research papers and all the reading were very informative. Prof. Eleni answers very quickly and always helps. I am so happy that she is my teacher again this upcoming fall semester and everybody should!
This is my favorite professor at Concordia.
If you're expecting for a really philosophical time then you probably won't get it, Eleni loves talking and she's a very nice woman, but structure isn't there and you'd probably want to take her course if you don't want to be burdened with a class. Her requirements usually weigh a lot, and if her class requires participation, be aware
I would definitely recommend Eleni Panagiotarakou as a teacher to take during your university carrier. She is very understanding, nice and knowledgeable. She makes classes interesting with discussions which I loved. She grades the papers fairly. Do the readings and if you put effort in writting an interesting paper, you'll succeed in her classes.
the teacher and class itself is pretty easy and interesting if you enjoy learning about the morals involved in medecine. However, if you get Isaiah Wilkinson as your TA, drop the class immediately. He's a really harsh grader and will literally drop your gpa with his grades.
Hard class. This is not an easy elective.
I actually took WSDB300. Prof is an extremely kind person. Not a great professor. Lectures were all over the place and sometimes they were completely ad hoc. Not an easy grade and doesn't always give feedback. She is probably the most considerate and accommodating professor you will ever have. She changed assignments and gave extra time always.
She is so kind and such a wonderful prof!!! I took this class as a non-stem class (I am a neuroscience major), so that was my bad... only three essays which were harshly graded... but amazing prof. I really like her.
I love her as a prof since this is not the first time I had her. Unfortunately, the class was ran by the TAs. The material was very interesting, but the grading was harsh; however, that is also normal for a philosophy course, but for a 200-level, way too hard. I will always recommend Dr. Eleni!
RUN FOR THE HILLS. This class used to be easy when it was the prof who developed it teaching it, now it is SO hard!! Prof can be nice BUT the TAs are the ones who grade you and they are EXTREMELY strict. The prof doesn't do anything but reassign you to a different TA if ever you complain about your grade, which is even worse! DON'T DO IT!!!!
Interesting content, but the grading can be quite harsh, especially with strict TAs. Utilize resources like unstuckstudy along with the textbook to ace this course.
Excellent teacher! Interesting and engaging material! Would highly recommend and would certainly choose this professor again! Do the readings and listen in class bc she hints what's important/ what will be on the exams.
She is awesome. Highly recommand
100% recommand
Would definitely take this Professor for other courses
Took both her classes this semester and she is very clear with what she wants us to study. If you attend class you will definitely do better in the class.
She's the best! I passed with an A! She helps her students and her assignments are very clear.
Online class, but I really enjoyed it! If you're into the environment and government, take it! Focus on the research papers, lectures aren't that important. Quizzes (20%) are easy, and the rest is just two papers. Easy grade in my opinion.
The material was interesting and relevant, and builds on a general knowledge/understanding of geography that you might already have. She gave anecdotes for the concepts to help us learn. The course load had a good pace and was very light. The exams were fair and the prof gave us the questions ahead of time. Show up and you get an easy A.
She is super nice and helps narrow down what the test contains, makes jokes and is chill, would take her again
Great professor, answers emails very quickly and if you really study you can ace these exams. She is not here to fail you and she cares for her students which is rare in uni.
She's the best! The online workload was fairly graded and she is so caring!
This professor genuinely cared for us students and would consider our input when it came to assessments and grading. She made sure we were prepared for the midterm and final. I definitely recommend taking this course!
Prof Eleni was AMAZING! Her lectures were well given, and she ensured the class lecture was interesting and listened to everyone and gave them a safe space to share. I would 10000% take her again! It's only 2 exams, 50/50 split, if you do the readings, you'll do great! If you have her as an option for a class, TAKE HER :)
Funny and nice but a horrible lecturer. Only pulls up videos instead of coming up with actual interesting lecture points. Is disorganized and essentially just reads off the slides.
In my journey at Concordia, I'd have to admit that this professor was one of my favorite one. She is passionate, her class is interesting and she gives us clear instructions and feedback. I'd recommend her to everyone.
Best teacher ever, shes legendary and really challenges you to think. If you wanna learn and do good then take her class believe me u wont regret it
Eleni is a kind person, but she comes 15 minutes late every class, talks about her life more than the lesson, not mandatory but if you don't come you'll need to do all the reading on your side very carefully. the grade are 50/50 final and midterm
One of my favourite professors and classes. Her lectures were very interesting and she made the material easy to understand. She is clearly passionate about her work, very smart, and caring. She even helped me get my paper published. Participation was graded and she created a comfortable environment by being respectful to students' contributions.
