He also gave me a recommendation letter! AP is tough but he makes it much easier than other instructors at dccc. His lectures are fine, well structured. I will take him again!

He always tries his best to make sure his students do well in the class. Extra credits are extra questions on the test (need 50/50 to get a 100% but he gives 54 questions on the test). He also gives out links to test banks (not his) and encourage you to go to tutoring if you're struggling. 11/10 would take again.

Greek accent may get in the way at times during lecture. He wants you to succeed and pass the course, and will be honest with you if you should continue on or to drop the class depending on how you're doing.

Unfortunately I failed! I don't blame him though. He provided plenty of opportunities and extra-credit. I tried but this was tough. The toughest class I've ever taken. I should have listened to him when he advised me to withdraw. My bad. I recommend him though, he's really caring, a wonderful person.

This is the second time I am taking a&p I with with. It's a tough class, but he is the best option at this college. He is really very caring and honest, he wants his students to succeed but you have to do the work. Don't expect to pool ass this class if you dont do well on the exams. I had him for A&P II, a few years back. He is an amazing instructor and mentor. I did very well in his class, I studied a lot. He was always very supportive, he wrote me a ton of recommendation letters, now I am at Jefferson. I owe him big time. Highly recommend him.

An amazing, funny, truly caring teacher who is super knowledgeable and passionate about what he teaches. I have to say it's extremely tedious work all the time though because anatomy physiology is not a joke! Therefore earning good grades can be difficult even for those good at science. He doesn't give a study guide so USE THE COURSE OBJECTIVES as your study guide. No extra credit & no curves & no HW. 11 out of 24 in my class passed (including me). STUDY and you'll pass to.

First class PROF! Great lectures and very helpful slides. Always answers questions in detail and explains very well. Gives full credit for all labs done. He will tell you what you need to know well for exams and provides a ton of X-credit. Tests are quizzes, exams, lab practicals. He is very friendly, fair to all and never plays favorites.

Dr. E. is hands down the best professor at DCCC. While the material is difficult at times, he will always tell you what to remember in lectures, so pay attention. Assigns four quizzes, four exams, two practicals. Also gives extra credit on quizzes and exams. Study and you will do fine! He is my favorite prof!

Dr E. in my opinion is a very honest PROFESSOR, but you will not pass his class if you don't try and do well. He lectures off of the powerpoints, so make sure to attend most classes so you don't miss any details. If you study, you will do FINE.

I made a C in the class which I am happy with. It's a tough class and I do recommend dr.e. for the class. I attended some lectures and used multiple sources in order to understand the info. His slides do match up with information in the textbook but I did not use the textbook a lot. Mostly his slides.

He is one of the best if not THE best teacher I've had. The material is mostly memorization and kind of dry, so you have to study a LOT. The best part about the course is that he tests only on the material that he gives you in his lecture slides. Attend lecture, it really helps.

By all means, a fantastic professor! Made relatively dry material interesting and easy to follow. Quizzes cover reading and lecture material, but Exams are much more comprehensive and test your overall understanding. Organized the course remarkably well to maximize your understanding of anatomy.

My opinion: He is a great scientist and educator. We had many discussions with him about science and life. he is a genius! Very patient, caring and always accommodating his students. But make no mistake: you need to attend classes, take notes, study hard in order to pass. The failure rate is very high for this course. A&P I is even tougher.

Passed with an A! I attended lectures, took notes, actually he will tell you what to expect on the exams, did over 90% on 3 exams and over 80% on one. The material at the community college level is NOT that hard. A&P is much harder at WCU. Nailed the final which was recycled questions from all previous 4 exams. I am going to nursing school soon! :)

I love the way Professor Argyris conducted class. I have taken A&P at another university and didn't like how everything was rushed but Dr. Argyris went through the material and explained what we needed to know. His pace was perfect and he was always willing to help. He is one of the best professors I have ever had!

One of the most amazing professors I have ever met! Professor Elias teaches the course so wonderfully, that it is easy to understand the material. Make sure to always review your notes and look at the slides he gives you and you will pass easily. if you want an A use the textbook!

Very tough class and I have to drop it. I am taking the summer online session. Way too tough! You got to have a strong science background and the timing is not right. But dre is good! He really communicates well and tries his best to help you. Lots of material to study. A lot! not his fault though. I will take him again during the regular semester.

Do yourself a favor and DONT take this class accelerated. Tests every 10 days on 4 chapters plus labs/homework. This class is no joke - be prepared to give up any type of life til its over! Dr. E works with students, his online lectures were good but I think in class would have been better. I would definitely take him again for future classes!

Took DR.E for A&P 1 in Spring 2020, which switched online halfway through due to Covid. l think some of the below comments are ridiculous. If you think you can take A&P and not expect work, then that's just dumb. Yes, it was an extremely hard class. But what do you expect? I am 100% taking him again for A&P II online.

unfortunately i failed, but it's not his fault. tough class, the material is a lot and hard, but he is very helpful. he also let us know when to withdraw-wish i listened. there is a withdrawal date he mentioned, but i thought i had chances. take him though, he is very understanding and helpful. i will try again with him next semester.

dre is one of the best professors! He teaches from a place of humanity and cares for all his students! He protects failing students by suggesting withdrawal so our gpa is not affected. He provides lots of additional feedback, help, and suggestions for those of us who are struggling and trying to improve. He cares exclusively about his students.

he must be one of the kindest and most caring instructors at DCCC! Great communicator, explains very well the material, but you have to study and do well to pass A&P. Many students fail, a few pass, but it's not his fault. Take him, he is very helpful.

Dr. E is great. Grading is very fair. A&P is hard, and you have to study. Beyond lab and lecture, he has plenty of resources available that are accessible at home to aid in studying. Attendance to lecture is not mandatory but I would advise showing up to get the most out of the course. He answers every question and will explain further if need be.

Professor E is the best professor at DCCC. I would definitely take any course he teaches. He grades work on time and there is never a delay in response. He cares about his students and their career path. He also offers to help students in their studies if needed. More professors at DCCC should be more like him. You will not be disappointed.

He is very sweet, caring, and a great professor. He posts all PowerPoint files, and other materials on canvas, but you do need to buy the textbook. Lots of studying! The 6 tests are mostly multiple-choice, he gives clear feedback and has clear requirements. He is very understanding. Do the work and you will be fine. Highly RECOMMEND!

Attend lecture or watch his lecture videos. Everything you need to know on the test are in his PowerPoint slides and he tells you what is on there. Be ready to be on top on your game and study the three weeks in-between each test. You will need all the time to study for the 6 tests and 2 lab practicals. Much Luck!!!!

Took with his A&P and micro. He is one of the best professors in the department. His lectures are clear and backs up theory fundamentals with specific examples. Exam questions are pulled from lecture notes and textbook. Very fair. He gives partial credit. Extremely nice guy. If you want help, he's there for you. Take dr.e. if you have the option.

DRE is AMAZING. He's always available and wants his students to do good in his class. His lectures and labs are amazing and not boring at all. He's very well organized. He does give home assignments which helps. He's SUPER SWEET. Best bio professor.

THIS WAS THE HARDEST CLASS! I don't think l was prepared properly, due to my work, other classes, family, and so many other things, including the hybrid class! I failed yet I don't blame him. I wish I could take it again with him and put in more effort. My advice take the class in person with him.

Great Professor, many exams, gives homework but some of the questions are on the test. Do the homework questions and study the slides you will do great. A&P IS NO JOKE.

I came very-very close but didn't make it. Need a C or better for AP2. Summer classes are very hard, no time to really take it in! DRE is very kind and a great instructor. He is very well organized, all lectures and videos are posted online, but you need more time for AP. I recommend him but better take him in fall or spring semester.

I truly enjoyed his class. He is very well organized and clear on where you should be with your studies and what's due next. Powerpoints were heavy, and so were his movies of his powerpoints. Watch his lectures and you will know what to focus on when studying! I would take him again for 151

DRE provides power-points for all the lectures, and video lectures where he explains his slides in depth. If you don't come to class you miss lots of information firsthand. There are 5 exams, 2 lab practicals, home assignments and other smaller tests. Good luck.

This material is heavy, but I enjoyed it so much more thanks to him. He was great! You need to pay attn during lecture and listen to what he says because you will know what you will be tested on. I appreciated that he let us use the testing ctr for tests so we could go take the test in a window that was best for us.

Very knowledgeable professor and excellent at teaching in a way that you learn the material, not just memorize. Breaks the material down and makes sure you understand it and you can move forward. He is always available before or after class, to Zoom, or during office hours to help you if you need. He is a wonderful professor and human being!

dr.e. is GREAT! All his lecture ppt movies are posted on Canvas for you to watch. They are very helpful. If you need help he will do whatever it takes to help and answer your questions. He is very approachable. He wants his students to pass the class and succeed. He really cares about his students. The course is NOT EASY. You got to study hard!

We could definitely use more instructors like him at DCCC! He truly stands out as the best. He displays a genuine concern for his students and their success. He offers ample opportunities for extra credit, but it is important to put in the effort to study as well. He won't let you down as long as you don't let yourself down.

Unfortunately, I have to retake it in the Spring 2024. But! He is one of the best professors for A&P. He gives full credit for labs, so make sure you attend those! His tests are very tricky so take your time, and read the questions. Watch his lectures - he'll let you know if you need to know/pay attention to certain things.

Dr. E was excellent! BIO150 is a challenging class. You must study every day; you can postpone things because you will fall behind and the material is a lot! If you study, you will pass! I am taking him for BIO 151 as well! Don't give extra credit because we will have human lives in our hands. Very nice professor and very caring!

Professor Argyris is caring. He does not give extra credit but he will offer a second chance to get it right. His lecture videos are good for reviewing, he taught too fast for me, but if you read the material before class and study you will pass his class.

Dr. Argyris is one of the best A&P professors. Challenging but fair, he offers extra credit and second chances. Attending lectures and labs is a must. Unstuckstudy AI was a great study aid alongside the textbook.

He is tough, but very caring, honest, fair, and supportive! AP is no joke, so brace up for long study hours. The big items are 6 exams and 2 lab practicals. He gives extra credit for labs, but don't expect more. Don't miss exams or labs, you will miss points. If you want to make it to nursing you have to excel, C won't cut it, no doubt.

He is great. He is very well organized, he provides online video lectures, his exams match his slides. As long as you study you will do fine. The online assignments take long to complete but they help you study. This is AP! If you want to be a nurse, there is no other way. You have to study hard.

This course is incredibly tough. Most fail. Don't try to take this course and work a job at the same time. This course will be your whole world all semester if you hope to pass.There is no extra credit. Be prepared to work hard up until the very end.

This class is really hard. I studied a lot, but the professor is really nice and reassuring. He always answered my questions when I emailed him. I enjoyed the labs and thought they were interesting. It's just really a hard class. It will take up most of your time until it's over.

BIO151 is one of the toughest classes ever! Yet, he makes it fun, if you pass, of course! lots of exams, lab reports, online assignments, and lab practicals. Lots of them! dr.e. is one of the best! Take him!

Very tough class and I am not doing well but its not his fault. Planning to retake it next semester again with him. He is a very good person and professor. There are many exams and assignments and the material is not easy. he provides online lectures and videos.

Great professor very passionate about biology! If you follow his lectures and homework you should do well! Very helpful, wants his students to pass. Take him!

Dr. E. is very energetic, fun, personable, and understanding. The material is a lot, 16 chapters and many many slides. He provides video lectures, too. There are online chapter assignments. This class is intense, and it's just the beginning. I cannot recommend him enough!

Dr. E goes above and beyond for his students. His tests are fair, multiple-choice, but he gives homework with tests, so students are prepared. As long as you communicate with him, he is very compassionate and won't let you fall behind. He is a great professor.

He is very committed and dedicated to his work. Very understanding and as long as you follow his instructions you will be fine. His tests are hard but managable. Lots of online assignments.

Dr. Elias is a great teacher. He is very clear about what he expects of you and what you should take away from each lecture. He is very helpful and cares greatly for his students. He is very accessible and wants ensure that his students are excelling. Lectures are long with many slides, but he also provides video lectures.

I strongly recommend taking a&p with Dr. Argyris. My advice is to use his PowerPoint and video slides - most of his test questions are multiple choice and photos from his slides- He truly helps students succeed. He always responds to emails quickly. if you succeed, he will support you later with a recommendation letter. Take him.

Dr. E is the greatest professor I have ever had. A&P is an incredibly tough class so having a professor who actually WANTS to help students learn and exceed is a true gift. I love this professor. He explains tough anatomy concepts and connects them to real life situations, making it easier to understand. He does his best to help each student pass. He is also very friendly& understanding on students situations. GO TO CLASS AND STUDY, as great as he is, A&P is a tough course, you will not pass if you do not study.

My favorite professor I have ever had. Very personable and upfront with his expectations. Syllabus is posted, coursework outline, video lectures, and he is easily accessible outside of class. This course is hard, but not impossible. Read, study, and go to class. He's also incredibly funny and loves to talk about Greek food.

AP I is a very challenging class, but Dr. E. is a great professor and breaks down the material so that it is easier to understand. He also provides videos of his lectures online. Exams are given every 2-3 weeks and require lots of studying. This class is very tough, but Dr. E. does everything to help his students.

I took dr. E. for Anatomy and Physiology 1&2. He was the best professor I've ever had! He's extremely compassionate about this subject and does his best to ensure his students are in a good place and are truly understanding the material. Definitely recommend this professor if you want to succeed!

He is a phenomenal educator and human being. He tells you what you need to know and prepares you for the exams. You will have to put in a lot of work, but overall, his slides and video lectures prepare you for the tests. You need to use the textbook, attend classes, and labs. Every point counts! Study!

HE IS AMAZING! Although the course is tough, he is truly one of the best professors. He is really engaging and is super passionate. He expects a lot from you but honestly if you work hard and on daily basis you can do it. Lecture attendance is not required but strongly recommended.
