Language is okay. Not that difficult of a course. I learned a lot about families and loved it!

Dr. Okhotnikov has been by far my favorite professor so far at McNeese. His class is not difficult at all he gives you all the material you need for your 3 test and his lectures are always interesting. I definitely recommend him if you have to take any of his classes.

Professor Elijah is an amazing professor. I had him for 3 classes this semester and each class was a great experience. I am also lucky to have him as my adviser. You will not find another professor as dedicated to students as he is. He is available by phone 6 days a week till 9 p.m. That is dedication.

This is a class on family policy. Read the chapter he assigns and answer the assigned homework questions. You will also have to create power point. There is no reason not to get an A if you do the work. Dr. Elijah is a God send to the family science program. Blessed to have him as my adviser.

This is a grant writing class. You will be required to write a mock grant proposal for the class. You first turn a draft and he gives you feedback for a final proposal. He provides you with more than enough information to be successful in the class. He is very involved with his students. Can reach him by phone 6 days a week if you need anything

I took his family relations class during the summer. He posts a lecture for every chapter of the book. If you listen to the lectures he gives clues about questions on the exams, and if you read the chapters you're sure to make an A. If you put in the work, there's no reason you should make less than an A+.

Prof Okhotnikov is so great! I took Family Relations online and was slightly nervous because I live in Texas and some professors tend to take a lot of time responding to emails. He always responded quickly. He is also very helpful and understanding if you have a problem. The only way to fail this course is to simply not do your assignments. 10/10

We had assigned chapters to read each week along with a discussion forum for each chapter assigned. No exams or quizzes just discussion posts. There was 1 major PowerPoint project based on a chapter he assigned.

Took parenting 322 actually!! He is very caring and compassionate. Grades are explained very thoroughly and will make sure you understand. A few quizzes are little hard, but are open book and you are able to figure it out.

Very understanding and mom-friendly! I had a baby days before the semester started, and my poor baby just never caught a break, he was sick back to back throughout the semester and Professor Elijah was super understanding and helped me to be sure I would get full credit for the things I'd missed.

Ilya is both a great person and professor. I have taken a plethora of his classes. Very caring about students. There is usually some extra credit and it is definitely worth it. 100% recommend him for any class.

I took this class as an elective my last semester. The online course was organized and easy to navigate. There were weekly chapter readings and quizzes. There was only one major assignment, which we had all semester to work on. It was fairly easy and I actually enjoyed it quite a bit, got 100%. Overall very informative, manageable, and fun class.

Make sure to stay on top of your coursework and you will be fine. Also, make sure to read assigned readings at least twice before taking quizzes as they can be slightly difficult.

I enjoyed the class and he many hands on activities for us to do as well as made assignments fun and open to ah ha moments. He is very much so a stickler for APA citations that really was the stictest part of the class honestly, making sure your citations were right to avoid intentional and unintentional plagarism.

This is the first review of a teacher I have submitted, and it is solely because of how completely phenomenal this teacher is. This man goes above and beyond for his students. His expectations are clear, his method is straightforward, & he gives feedback every step of the way. Take his class and do not even think twice about it.

Theres 6 Tests, 6 Assignments, 1 Final Project, and 2 bonuses. As long as you keep up with text & PPT's it's an easy A. If you're not willing to put in the work, easy F. Dr. Eli is also super understanding as long as you communicate with him. He actually wants students to succeed, which is rare at this school. 100% will take his class again.

He's really quick when it comes to responding to emails. His emails are also very encouraging and he's very understanding. Chapter quizzes are graded for completion, and they help on the chapter tests. Chapter tests are graded for accuracy.

This is by far the most caring professor I have ever had. He understands that life circumstances come up and allows extensions when needed; allowing all students to perform well in this course. This professor was very caring and understanding about a medical situation that happened to me during this semester. He is always willing to help you just have to ask. The homework is not hard, you just have to read chapters and take quizzes on them. I printed the chapters out to help me. He also gives extra credit opportunities.

The class had a nice and easy to understand lay out with almost all assignments explained in simple details. My only issue with this class was trying to understand the requirements of the Family Life Cycle project which I did manage to do.

Dr. Elijah was an amazing professor! It can be a little hard to understand what he's asking of you because he is Russian, but every single question I had, he provided great and detailed answers to. The only thing I will say is that there was more writing involved than I expected, but it was all simple and easy to understand and make good grades on!

For an online class, he is very good about providing assignment explanations. Be prepared for very technical, specific assignment instructions. Lots of extra credit. Reiterates instructions often, makes videos and seems like he genuinely cares.

Dr. Okhotnikov is my advisor as well, but overall he seems like a really great person. I am an online only student. I think he would be really great to have lectures with as well though. He gives lots of directions and is extremely helpful.

Easy class, you just have to keep up with all the assignments. He's very nice and understanding if you need extensions on due dates.

Dr. Elijah is the most caring teacher I have ever had in my life. As a nontraditional student, I have many barriers at times that prevent me from doing things as well as I'd like to at times. He's so supportive and understanding. I'm also thankful that he is openly religious. A teacher who prays for and with you is the best!

You do have to use the book in order to quote it in your assignment s but other than that the class is easy. He's very understanding when it comes to late work! But ofc don't overuse your power.

This is my third class with this professor, and by far, he is the most understanding one I've had. Generally cares about students and wants you to succeed. He is understanding when it comes to late work and is overall just friendly and supportive. I would recommend it to anyone.

Dr. Elijah is clear on what's expected on every assignment. He operates in excellence and expects the same from his students. The requirements are more geared towards students thinking about new concepts taught vs just for a letter grade. It's true when he says he wants his students to succeed. He's reachable and willing to help as much as he can.

I enjoyed this parenting class and learned so much. It was challenging but rewarding. The lectures were amazing. Dr. Elijah is one of those professors who truly cares about the success of his students. There are weekly readings, quizzes, questions, and some observations. You will learn a lot and do well if you apply yourself and do the work.

I have taken every class that he teaches, and have had an amazing experience with all of them! He really cares about the student's well-being. He is my absolute favorite teacher! Highly recommend!
