to put this bluntly as possible, lerner sucks. she makes the most interesting topic completely boring and she is insensitive to any and all problems. i have her for a 9:55 class and i want to poke my eyes out. please save yourself dont take her!!

Avoid taking at all costs, take with the other teacher i busted my ass and got a D menwhile my friends had the other teacher never even turned in their last assignments and they got B's. Final is impossible. Easys due every friday night boring movies.

I got an A in the class and I still think it was the most ridiculous thing ever. Her emails were not specific, and the final should have taken 3 hours, and she cut our time to 1 1/2 hours. Avoid this teacher if you don't like to work your butt off.

She is the most awful teacher ever. I had a B going into the final and she failed me on my final and gave me a D. I worked my ass off for 4 weeks doing her stupid 11essays, whihc is insane, just in return her lowering my GPA. Never ever take her class.

This instructor should be removed from the college. Her paranoid search for plagiarists’ borders on the criminal. In addition of running the risk of an arbitrary failing grade, you run the risk of being convicted of plagiarism based on nothing.

This plagiarism garbage is just that. During first section meeting she boasted how she nearly got some student convicted of plagiarism after her stupid automated check. Turned out the author of text had material that was not cited. This student nearly had academic career ruined over nothing. FACT

Grades according to her mood. Do not let these lucky students who got the grades they deserved influence your decision about taking this class. You may not be as lucky and will receive a poor grade no matter how hard you work.

I took this class in the summer & she is a terrible teacher! She is such a b*tch & doesnt explain things. We were allowed to hand in essays til the last day & when I went for the final the essay I hadnt done was a question,I asked to sub in a different & all she said was "oh well" WORST TEACHER EVER

I am a Senior with a 4.0 GPA, so I am certainly not a twit. I agree with what people are saying. This professor is horrible. SHe is rude, nasty, and very unhelpful.

The postings on this board are inline with my experiences. She grades depending on her mood. Same amount of effort on every paper will get you A,B,or C. She is short fused. We are her customers and she treats students like they are kids, she is unprofessional and condescending.

I had her for 1 class and she was horrible. Thought maybe it was a fluke so I took her again. Not a fluke; just a horrible teacher and nasty. As for respect and child comments . . . I am in my 30s- hardly a child. I respect everyone, especially my professors. Lerner is VERY unprofessional.

Probably 1 of the worst classes i've ever taken and clearly it is the professor from what i see from other comments on here.Very unprofessional and grades very hard. I used 5 references in my paper which was more than required. Forgot one reference and got a C- on the paper i busted my butt for. Very hidious, unkept, and plays favorites to women.

extremely hard, cant ask her any concerns you have about the class in front of her. Everything has to be asked through email. Very non confrontational. And no matter what, you are wrong and she is write. If you see one of her classes is open, run the other way or you will pay for it.

The worst instruction I have had thus far. The class was not the problem; it was the teacher. Sporadic grading; her version of "constructive criticism" ranged from 1-3 words. Not helpful at all.

Wow, I see she hasn't changed! She was my advisor in the 80s and was so nasty and condescending it was awful. I dreaded having to see her even for a signature. I was no twit, worked my way thru college and law school, good gpas, etc. I'm much older and hopefully a bit wiser and would never allow anyone to treat me that way nowdays. Don't take her!

She has a poor grading system. My average for the class was a B-, but somehow SHE turned it into a C+. She is uncooperative, and treats her students like they're nonexistent.

She gave me grades from a D to an A.Says a C- is an excellent grade. DON'T take for an easy G course, class sounds like fun but she makes it not

Took 1 yr ago. Her quote-is an excuse for her shortcomings. She is rude & ignorant.Her syllabi are unorganized jokes.You must do extra of what the syllabus requires if you want to pass with a higher grade of a C.I think there is something lacking in her life because she just has a miserable sadness to her.She needs counseling.See You Next Tuesday!

This is the worst professor I have ever had. I got A's and B's on the weekly essays and she screwed up my grades on the list she mailed home and gave me 3 D's. I emailed her 6 WEEKS before classes ended and she never got back to me. When I asked her at the final she said "Im 2 busy for ur problems"and blew me off so I reported her to the dean.

I took her for social problems. It was the worst class. It is an online class. I would write papers and didn't receive higher then a c+. In all my other classes I get As or Bs. I asked her what I was doing wrong twice and she basically told me to try harder. I was trying hard. I finally had to drop the class so it wouldn't hurt my GPA.

Online class - professor was not easily accessible nor accommodating. Horrible online experience for me.

She is terrible. I had this course over the summer and she had any essay due the next day. Gave no instructions on how to do the 1st essay which was a summary of chapters and gave everyone low grades for them. Pretty much wrote the same essay for the other 10 essays and got grades varying from B- to A. No one passes the final either. AVOID

OMG! I have gotten a A on every History + Science paper I have witten! I have a 3.79 GPA... and then came her Cinema elective! A class I did not even need! Every paper, no matter how well written was not good enough..hmmm?

Do not take her, she is hard and so are the tests, the essays are not but she does not give you A's. My advise to you if you need and easy B or an A do not take her.

Awful professor. Not helpful, not polite, and thinks everyone should write like Siskel and Ebert. Takes a really interesting subject and makes it a chore. It's suppose to be a 2000 level sophomore course but she grades like a 5000 level course. DO NOT TAKE HER! LOOK AT HER RATING!

I've never felt strongly enough to actually rate someone on here but this women is horrible. It's a freshman level online class and she expects these impossibly perfect papers. The text book is the only source you're allowed to use, but over quoting gets you penalized. There's no winning.

Complete joke of a teacher. Came to class unorganized and didn't want to be bothered by her students. Treated us like we were children and when we had tests had us sit in every other desk so we didn't cheat. How she is still teaching is beyond me. Do as others say and avoid her at all costs!

She is the most pathetic excuse for a professor that I have ever seen. She wants you to use citations that a 4th grader would use (cite every single sentence with (B,34 or L,22).I love throwing all of my language training into the trash.She gives you a C- over actually using correct MLA/APA format.Both an online and a General course, it is a joke.

Try to take her for an online class. I missed first class for ligitmate reason and she made me drop the class. And could not give me an answer as to why but bc first class is mandatory.

Terrible teacher I would strongly recommend not taking this teacher. She was unclear with instructions and incredibly unhelpful. I had a 4.0 prior to the class and after getting a C- on the first paper i begged for help. Got none, and dropped because she laughed when I said i was aiming for an A. Lots of work too!!

I went to Stockton 10 years ago and can't believe this human piece of garbage still works there. She doesn't care about student needs and thinks her class should come before everything else. If you accidentally took her course this semester, withdrawal immediately before she brings down your GPA and wastes your money. Both of which she won't care.

I made it halfway through this course when I didnt cite one sentence on one of her papers. Was accused of plagiarism immediately, no benefit of the doubt, no warning, no F for the paper. Failed me for the entire class. It was a course credit I needed and in the last semester before I graduated. She could have cared less.
