Fun class. I took it online and it was a breeze. We do have a lot of small projects, but overall the projects were pretty fun and useful. He offers a 50 question midterm and final. The exams were clear and easy to answer, not tricky at all.

Took him online. What a helpful guy and interesting class. The workload is fair but extremely creative and interesting. There are mainly 2 point assignments and two 10 point projects. Midterm and final are very easy. He is also very lenient as far as grading. He wants things right but will work with you rather than reject right away. Take him.

Great Professor, I took him on-line and thought it was pretty easy. He has a lot of assignments but they are totally doable, some of them might take more time than others but you learn a lot. He offers extra credit and as long as you play his games on every module you will definitely get an A. Take him as many times as you can.

This professor is great! He is incredibly organized, replies to e-mails right away, and knows how to structure the class so that you stay interested. The book is also actually interesting to read. There are assignments, and you do have to complete them for a good grade. Will definitely take again!

I took Mr. Arteaga online during the spring semester. He is extremely helpful, very fair, and his assignments aren't difficult at all. At first I was a little overwhelmed when I saw all the projects that were required, but he helped me out whenever I had any questions. The class turned out to be pretty easy and fun. This class is extremely easy and Arteaga is very helpful. My only complaint is that they should make this class completely online because it really is a waste of time to go to class. Low textbook use, rarely went to class and it was still an easy A.

GREAT professor, this literally is the easiest class I've ever taken in college. there are 2 tests which are basically quizzes and all the questions are verbatum in his weekly games and the projects are ridiculously easy and actually fun. I only messed up on one project but he let me redo it without even asking! i would recommend this class to EVER

I love Prof. Arteaga! He always makes every student feel good about their work. Never criticizes, instead he helps you do better and makes every project enjoyable. I'm not a photoshop expert, but I passed the class with an A. Easy projects and a few creative exercises that are super easy. GREAT PROFESSOR!

Ridiculously easy class. Don't really need to study for quizzes just do the session games and you should be fine.

I took him online. The material is easy and you don't need to read for the tests because the session games give you all the answers. Some of the assignments are even fun. He is also really good at getting back to you via email. I took him online and I would definitely take him again either in class or online.

Fantastic class. Took it online. Schedule is very organized and followed from week one. Discussion due each week, usually on one chapter and some other small readings, sometimes two chapters. Four tests, I think. One every few weeks. Occasional projects that aren't difficult. He's helpful and grades more on effort than skill which is nice.

EASY class! The assignments are interesting, and all the tests are straight from the games he offers prior to the test. Took him for Summer C and it was a great choice. TAKE HIM!

I took him online. This was an interesting and easy class. Fun projects are assigned and you get to play around with Photoshop. He is also helpful if you need him and gives you feedback on your work. The tests are straight from the book and he gives you a review in the form of a "game" with all the questions that will be on them. Easy A, fun class!

LOVED this course! I took it online. It is VERY EASY, entertaining and educational. I would definitely recommend those who want to take it as a Discipline-Specific-Course, to do so. The book is cheap, you will need it for the 1 essay question in the tests. Thats the only time I really used it. He is a very nice professor and helpful, too!

Incredible experience. If you do the minimum, you should still get a decent grade, but don't mistake that with the class being super easy. If you're already familiar with Photoshop, then you'll cruise through it. The fun part is actually challenging yourself to learn new software and creativity earns the highest marks. Again, amazing class...

Great course! This has nothing to do with my major and I really enjoyed it. 5 assignments with clear instructions, weekly discussion board posts, and 3 easy exams where questions are exactly the same as the practice quiz! If you need a Global Learning course, take him!! Pretty easy A!

Great prof! Responds to email within 24 hrs. There's a discussion every week except when there is a quiz. There's only 3 quizzes and 4 fun assignments (which are due every 2-3 weeks). He's partially flexible with deadlines, and gives a lot of feedback before an assignment is due. Def would take him again!

He's the best online teacher! He send emails to remind students when the assignments are due and to let you know they have been graded. He gives full explanation for the assignments. They are easy for a graphic designer. Do the Chapter games and you will pass the tests. Do your discussions, assignments and tests and you will pass with an A.

I took his VIC 3400 virtual class in the spring of 2014..... AWESOME. He gives you a lot of reminders when it comes to deadlines and you get a lot of opportunities to get a good grade. I genuinely learned a lot about design even though I slacked.

This class was by far the easiest and most interesting class I've taken at FIU. I can't stress enough how helpful the Professor is and how easy this course is. If you're looking for an elective to take and like visual design (photography, media, art, etc.) than don't hesitate to take this class! EASY AND INTERESTING

This was one of the most interesting and fun classes I've ever taken at FIU. All of the modules were well thought out and presented, the assignments are actually fun and challenging to do, and you don't even fully need the book for the tests (If you play the games to prep for the exams, you're GUARANTEED to pass!). OMG! Super easy online class - I mean all you have to do is participate in discussions, tests are easy (because practice test are given and it's the same exact test), assignments are super fun and he gives extra credit and gives you an extra week to make-up assignments if you miss them! Can't beat it wa bat! I know my grades an A!

I took this class online and it was one of the easiest As ever. Weekly discussion board posts on the chapter of the book, so obviously buy the book because they help with assingments too. Tests are really easy if you use his StudyMate site to do the reviews. Assignments require creativity but are actually fun. Take him!

Professor Artéaga really cares about his students and always provides encouraging feedback. The readings were a bit boring but I got through them and received an A. If you do the study guide quizzes, you should be fine (they are the same questions that appear on the exams). This is definitely an easy online class.

The tests exactly the same as the quiz games, recommend checking them out. Overall sweet class, would choose if you need it for a Global Learning.

Professor Arteaga is the best online professor I have had at FIU. His grading rubric is clear and easy to follow from his syllabus. There are 6 fun, easy, and creative assignments. There are 4 tests which are all multiple choice and come straight from the review he provides. Lastly there are 12 weekly discussion that are due sunday's by 11:59.

Professor Elio is the best! His class is such a stress reliever. His class contains 12 discussion posts, 6 assignments and 4 exams, in which he gives a review with the same questions. This class is perhaps the easiest at FIU. Take him! Whether it's as a communications major, elective or need it as a global requirement. Can't get less than an A.

Very active prof in the class, sends emails every week letting you know what needs to be done. Discussions every week 300 words each with two 100 word replies. They were annoying but not hard. Many projects to learn visual design of course which were interesting and not hard either. You can tell he cares for students and loves his job. Take him.

Professor Elio is awesome, and this is definitely the most fun online class I've taken so far at FIU. The learning videos and assignments he gives the class are very interesting, and they really adjust your perspective on how you think of visual design and media. I HIGHLY recommend this class whether you need it for credit or not!

Class was an easy A. Arteaga was readily available with any assignment questions. Put in effort for projects and module discussions and he will give you'll do fine. Follow the directions specifically. Tests are a breeze since they are the same questions as the Kahoot practice quizes. Gives possible essay questions in the weekly forums.

Easy A class! Elio is the nicest human being and professor you will have at your time in FIU! He gives you all the criteria and rubrics required to complete his assignments, they are all easy and creative assignments you put together. The quizzes he gives you a guide, but it really just contains the same exact questions that'll show up online.

This professor is the most caring man I have ever met although I took him online. He gives feedback to every single one of your assignments and he technically tricks you into doing your projects early since they are due with your discussion posts. All the tests are the exact material in the reviews given. There's no excuse not to get an A!

This class consists of 6 projects, but they are simple and can be done in one sitting. You have 2 weeks to do each one, post a draft first and receive feedback. There are 12 easy discussions and only 4 tests. The tests come straight from the kahoot practice tests, each with one free response question, which comes from the lessons. He is great!

Professor Arteaga has this online class perfectly structured. His modules are easy to follow along and he posts lectures and articles that help students understand the content. Weekly discussion and 6 "mini" projects throughout the semester. He also has multiple choice tests which are easy as he helps you review for them with Kahoot.

Every week there is a discussion post and you have to watch LinkedIn Learning lectures and read an article or two. Two tests on Canvas. The projects are fun to do and he has a very clear grading criteria. This is a great professor and also very accessible. I highly recommend him.

Overall the class is very easy as long as you participate in the discussions which are only worth one point, so if you miss a couple you could still get an A providing you do well in 4 super- easy -to- pass tests and about six other very easy assignments.

While you have to watch long videos weekly, the material for this class is really easy once you sit down and actually get to it. There are weekly discussions with a couple of projects and 4 tests where the answers are given from the kahoots he made. Overall, I would take this class. You learn a lot about the beginnings of graphic design.

Amazing professor; if you are contemplating whether to take him or not, please do!!!! You have weekly assignments where you watch a video and discuss what you watched, and it is straightforward. His tests are easy because he gives you a Kahoot as a study guide and his projects are fun, and he always provides feedback for your rough draft.

To pass this class you need to be organized and dedicated to submitting meaningful work. He's pretty understanding and lenient but has times where he can grade a little bit harshly. He tells you what you need to improve on. No textbook needed, content is on LinkedinLeaarning for free. Tests are easy, gives Kahoot practice exams. Not a bad class

Professor Elio is such a great teacher! Assignments include 300-word discussions & other assignments, but as long as you manage your time, everything is doable! I actually really enjoyed his assignments because many of them require creativity. If you have any questions, he will answer them through the canvas message. Take this class, he's awesome!!

Prof Arteaga is one of my favorite professors ever. The man goes above and beyond when it comes to his students. He helped me along in my introductory classes for Web Design and really made the difference. His classes are average in terms of work load and difficulty with some laughs and time to ask questions. Makes going to class enjoyable.

Professor Arteaga is a very professional, he will give you opportunities to revise and make better projects with his feedback before he graded, easy quizzes, and you will learned a lot with him. Simple, Easy and Dynamic!

The easiest class you will take, all you have to do is carefully read the assignments each week (very wordy but easy to understand). The quizzes are really easy, you do have one written response but he tells you the possible questions for the written response section on each discussion post. Discussion posts are mandatory, you can get an A or F.

One of the best courses I have ever taken. His class dynamic is the best and he always gives you feedback that will help you get a really good grade. If you do not get an A in this class it's because you're lazy

My favorite course and Professor so far. He gives clear instructions from the beginning. Has you turn it a first draft for all assignments and provides great feedback before final submission. This professor really stands out for being an online professor. Most modules consist of his own input and ideas, so you get to see his character a little bit. He has Kahoots for studying, and provides constructive feedback to each assignment. His homework is manageable, and extremely creative. Out of all the PRAAC professors, he is one of the best!

Took this class online and it was really interesting. I learned a lot and there are only 1-2 assignments per week. There are discussions, projects, and a few tests. But everything is easy and actually fun. Professor gives good feedback that helps you fix your projects for a better grade. Overall, easy and fun class.

TAKE HIM! Professor Arteaga is an amazing professor, and I learned so much, considering this was an online course. He allows you to do projects and submit them as a discussion for review before submitting them for final grading. He does give a decent amount of work, but nothing you can't handle. Great course Professor has a great set up for online learning. Every week there is a discussion and a small project. There are also 3 test. Nothing that is extremely hard. My experience, just turn everything in and you will get a good grade. I took this course for the Global Learning requirement.

If you're looking for a class with few assignments, then maybe this class it's not for you, they are really easy but there were a lot of them. Easy projects, but for fall semester, the last assignment was due December 14th, that was my only class that I still got things to do.

I took VIC3400 – Visual Design for Global Media on Fall of 2024, and it made me feel welcomed and appreciated at FIU, since such is the atmosphere he creates for the teachings. He transmits to the students the passion for representing the media message in more ways than the written one. Finally, he never, ever forgets to leave a feedback comment.

The class was great and he gave clear instructions on what to do for each project (6 total) and we get time to complete but need to submit a draft. Sometimes feedback can be vague but the projects aren't too complicated and very helpful into understanding aspects of design in different medias.

100% YES! Take him if you can. One of the most understanding professors. Your assignments will based on that week's module. Every week, there's a discussion due and one response. Every assignment has to be submitted as a draft before it's graded so you always have a chance at a better grade! He gives great feedback and he's a quick responder!

His online class is extremely organized. There were a lot of discussion assignments and a couple of projects with occasional tests. He was nice enough to open a test I missed. I didn't do that well in the course due to my taking more credits than usual, but if I focused on it more, I would've done better. I recommend this professor!

I ended up with a 79% at the end of the semester (I took the max credit load this semester) I asked him last minute if he'd be willing to raise my grade to a B-, and he brought it up to a B. Very nice guy with great communication, definitely consider him
