Great Class and Teacher; not sure what everybody else is talking about; Prof Fernandez gave lectures on the chapter first and then went over the homework problems; lectures were helpful and interesting; homework problems emphasize the important stuff; hard tests but fair; she grades on a curve; You need to work hard but you will definitely learn;

Everyone that wrote bad about this professor is just lazy. I got an A in the class and all i had to do is study the day before the exams and listen in class. If you are planning on transfering to a University this is good prep course unless you're planning on staying at Rinky-dinky Miami Dade.

From reading comments, i was expecting the worst. But no, she is a great prof!!! She is nice and helpful and class is good. Despite a long 3 1/2 hour class, she made time go by quick. Plan to take her again for next class.

She's a great professor-very nice...the material can be boring but she helps you out if you don't understand...defenitely have to study from the book, for any detail, just incase for exams...

if you are a regular or good student, then she is one of the best professors you will have. if you are a bad student that wants to get an easy A or like to cheat then she is one of of the worst.

After taking accounting last semester with prof. Fernandez I switched my major to accounting. She is a very kind and most importantly a very smart professor! If you want to learn and are motivated to study and work for a well deserved A then this class is for you. If you are lazy and want to slack keep looking.

Professor Fernandez is AWESOME! People that say that she is super hard, are people that don't study. You have to apply yourself in her class. She is EXTREMELY helpful and she even refers you to a tutor for the coure if you need additional help. She is ALWAYS there during office hours, and wants her students to understand the material.

I don't know what all these people are talking about. If you fail her class it's because you didn't consider it important and therefor didn't pay attention or study. If you apply yourself and do all the required work you'll do more than fine. She's very helpful and sweet. TAKE HER !

Great Teacher!I've always had problems with numbers and hard study.Nonetheless, the teacher was always helpful, even when she was in her office or doing something else.Went to ask her things about the class at least 20 times during the semester and she was always helpful with me.She evn got a tutor 4 me! Study and you will learn a lot a get an A!

Good professor. Just study the textbook and take the practice questions seriously and you will get an A. Very sweet person and is understanding. Textbook is a must... I would start reading the chapters 2 days before each exam and got above a 90 on all of them.

Professor Elise Fernandez is a wonderful educator. This subject requires a lot of patience, effort, and time and she definitely delivers. This professor is sweet, clear, and extremely helpful. Read the book, take notes, do the labs and practice as much as possible. It will be a smooth ride.

She is a very sweet person, is sobody easy to talk with. You will never fall asleep in class. The exams are not easy, but if you read the chapters and do the lab, you'll be more than fine. Sometimes she curves the tests. Take her and read the chapters.

She's such a nice person yet alone teacher. She's really helpful and understanding. If you take the time to read the chapters and reread you will score a decent C or B. Her assignments on the other hand are a piece of cake and will help balance your grade. It was a pleasure to have her as a teacher.

very nice & understanding to the students. test are easy u just have to read and study for sure! she covers basic points of the chapters so u have to do most of the reading at home, make sure u learn the key terms. the only thing i didn't like was when she would talk her lectures would be a bit boring. if you do all the work and study u can pass.

She's very well knowledged about what she's teaching but her lectures are boring. She only lectures the main ideas of the chapters so you do need to read at home. Her test aren't hard if you really study for it. The test consist of mostly vocabulary. It's not a hard class you just need to stidy for her tests and you'll be fine.

I thought class and professor were great. She is very helpful. I found class to be interesting and it kept my attention despite that it was a 3 hour class twice per week! Recommend.

I loved this class and the professor, especially compared to the previous accounting class (2021) with another professor. I think that Prof. Fernandez makes the class interesting and she explains very well. I am actually thinking of switching majors.

She is a really chill teacher, she is super nice when it comes to grading ,at least for the class geb1011 she is, she doesn't give u a lot of hw u just have to do the postest on mind tap and she doesn't care what u get as long as you do it and to pass the tests you just need to read the chapters and learn the vocabulary words and you'll get an "A"

She is an amazing professor and will help you as long as you want to learn, she knows what she is doing, the class is not easy you have to study but as long as you do your work you will be fine she is very flexible with grading, try to not take a blended class and it will be even easier

She is one in a million teachers that actually teach, you learn what accounting really is! Her test are 50 question and 2 or sometimes 4 extra credit questions she will add. Your overall grade is based on the tests, homework (which are easy), attendance, and participation. If you complete all your homework it weighs as much as a test grade.

Best Prof. ever ! I had her for the two accounting classes and I loved how she teaches. She was great and really helps you learn. She actually teaches unlike a lot of other professors. One of the best professors so far that I have had.

I thought Professor Fernandez was great. I worked hard but it was worth it when I got a good grade. She has 3 tests and the homework is considered another test. The homework is easy but takes up time. Attendance also counts so you have to show up to class. Her tests are hard but if you study, you will do good. Overall, great class.

Accounting is difficult for me. But Prof. Fernandez was one of my best MDC professors. She really explains things so that you understand. If you need extra help, go to her office. I definitely recommend her. Trust me, I failed with another professor.

Highly recommend; I took her for both Financial and Managerial classes. I learned a lot from her and found Prof. Fernandez to be very nice and helpful. She actually teaches you and helps you understand the textbook.

Accounting is hard, and since I took it all online you're basically teaching yourself; however, prof. Fernandez is there to help if you don't understand something or need help. There's a lot of homework but it isn't hard, 10 Chapters, 3 Tests, 1 proctored final.

The course was difficult because of the workload and the online format. You really have to be committed and make sure you understand all of the concepts because otherwise you will fail the exams. The final is proctored. If you put in the time and really want to learn you will do well but if you don't put in effort you probably won't get an A.

She is a fantastic professor. She is charming during his classes and explains everything clearly. Super accessible outside the classroom. 2 tests (50 questions each and 2 extra credit) and a final (50 questions no extra credit). All homework is on Cengage.

Great Class. Prof helps make accounting easier to understand. gives good lecture notes in Blackboard. If you do the Cengage work, you will do good in class.

Prof is helpful and teaches clearly. You will learn with her. Lots of homework but not that bad.

All HW is due at the end of the term BUT NO NOT fall behand. She teaches well and sometimes share some experiences when she teaches. It can get a bit boring but very helpful. You got question ask and go to her office hours. Very nice and patient. Had 3 test in total including final. Make sure to good on the first ones. She does round it a bit too.

Made sure everyone understood the content of lectures. Loved answering questions and was very approachable. Shared personal experiences that made lectures interesting. Opened assignments module by module as we covered them. As long as you showed up to zoom lectures, she counted attendance. Gave all quizzes 100s as long as they were attempted.
