Very interesting/weird teacher.. talks about her family issues a lot. lots of 1 pg assignments and 3 essays. 1 8 pg research paper. gives 100% like candy on the 1 pg assignments. VERY lenient when u miss an assignment, puts up with all the BS of the slackers in the class. recommended teacher, she was fun, never used books.straightforward class

Shes young, fun, talkative and helpful. Lots of creative writing and trys to make the class fun. She'll help any student that needs help. Journals, Essay's and most of the essay's are revision's of the Journals, not the easyest grader but not the hardest. She's a sweetheart, STRONGLY recommend her class, unless your a student who likes a challenge

she's pretty cool. she likes to keep her word and trys to do her best to help her students when they ask for it. gives good reasonable feedback when she returns the essays too, which helps to improve. she even came by my house to let me borrow a book for a research paper because she 4got to bring it to class.

I took her for Eng21A and am in her summer class now for Eng1. Mostly class discussions during the period and people speak up very comfortably.

Really one of the best English professors at SMC Pay attention,read the books, come to class,take notes and participate. Overall she is an extremely helpful prof. especially when writing essays,she pushes you to better your writing... so they have to be on point! Ms. Meyer is fantastic. She is super clear in her class and we didn't even use a text book, that's practically unheard of in English 2. The syllabus said 4 essays and a final but we ended up only writing 3. She is slow to grade stuff but always available for questions. So so sweet and such an enjoyable class and she has awesome discussions with us

Meyer is an incredible teacher and person, she is always there for you and helps you with everything. She gives out her google phone number at the start of the semester if you have any questions. I have laughed in every single class and have improved tremendously in her class. The only problem is that she is a very slow grade. highly recommended!

Don't mistake her kindness for weakness !! She is serious and hilarious at the same time. She relates topics to active social media very well. I enjoyed watching videos in her class. Group essay is fun,too. Remember. Don't talk when she talks! participation in her class matters. Believe me! go to class as much as you can and try to stay away from multiple absences. Believe me, it will hurt your grade at the end. She is fair to everyone and easy going professor. She's always there when you have questions. I am taking her class English 100 next semester at OCC.

Professor Meyer is by far the kindest professor I have ever had! Her assignments (which is very few) are VERY easy and straight-forward. Sometimes she can be a little unclear, but she is such a good help if you don't understand something!! TAKE HER!!!!

I had Ms. Meyer for English 1, my first semester of my first year in college. Beyond being an amazing, hilarious woman, she is passionate about teaching and it shows every lecture. She is hilarious. We had three essays and two in class essays. Also, a midterm and final. Only problem I had with this class, SHE GRADES SO SLOW. I get that she has a life, but it sucks when everything is graded the weekend before grades close. We went into the final and submitted the last paper(research paper 8-10 pages) not knowing our grade

She is one of my favorite professors I had all my years at SMC. Very genuine, engaging, and willing to help. Be sure to ask her any questions you have or meet her for office hours for help with essays, since she's more than willing. Also has a great sense of humor & lectures were entertaining.

The only thing I can complain about is her organization skills. But who can blame her, it was her first year teaching full time. She really tried to engage the whole classes, so don't be afraid to speak up. She loves when students take over the discussion because she hates seeing yall bored

Prof. Meyer is the textbook definition of mediocre. I would not reccomend to anyone who is actually trying to enhance their writing skills. She is the slowest grader ever! So don't expect much feedback, other than that, she is a funny, easy going teacher. Easy A but again, find someone who makes you work for your grade. It's better in the long run.

Professor Meyer truly loves her job; that definitely shows through the guidance you get during her office hours. She is HILARIOUS and keeps her lectures entertaining through her stories. Although, she is a super slow grader. Our essays were not graded until the last two weeks of the semester.

She is straightforward. Very generous. 3 essays. Follow her deadlines and she will not be on your case. She IS in fact a slow grader but her personality makes up for it. Her lectures were always fun and engaging, never a dull moment in her class besides when class would end.

I LOVE THIS PROFESSOR!!!

I took her hybrid class and she's a solid choice for Engl 2. I struggled with the essays mostly because I hate writing essays in general. A small heads up, she takes a long time to grade the essays. I believe you could resubmit for a better grade but, I didn't have the time because 2/3 of my essays were graded during finals week.

This professor is amazing, but the reason for a 4 PTS score was B/C she responses a little bit late. Willing to help her students to understand the material & to get a passing grade her class. Doesn't post the work on the first day of the week to complete the work you only have a couple of days to finish. Absolutely take her class. 100% 2 thumbs up

Amazing teacher!! Elisa Meyer is one of my favorite professors I've had at SMC so far. Just make sure to go to her office hours!! I would go before the essay was due to make sure I was on the right track and I would go after she graded it to see what I could improve on for the next one she was always so helpful and nice and gave great feedback.
