Seriously one of the best professors I've had. She's young and in touch with her students. She uses a lot of movie clips and lyrics as examples.Just do the study guides before the tests and you'll be totally fine. I can't wait to take more classes from her.

I think it's obvious from her ratings that she's amazing. The class is so easy, I didn't open the book once and got over a 100% in the class. She teaches with powerpoint, which sounds boring, but she has a lot of enthusiasm and character. She's hilarious.

Professor Setmire is absolutely amazing. I have her for Human Sexuality, and her class is not only increadibly easy, but so much fun! There is never a boring day. She has us sign in each class for participation points, so it's 15 easy points a week. Only one homework assignment, but there is tons of extra credit. Take Setmire for sure!

Setmire is such a great professor! She takes my interest in psychology and multiplies it! The class is pretty easy if you put in the effort. The tests are a breeze if you complete the study guide and study it. The essay was a blast to write. She offers a hefty amount of extra credit and she really helps you out reminding you of deadlines.

Professor setmire is awesome! The class is definitely not extremely easy but it is not hard if you just pay attention and take notes. She gives you all the components that you need in order to get an A in the class, so if you do not pass the class it would most likely be from lack of studding for her tests.

LOVED this class! I took this class just out of personal interest for the subject, and I ended up learning so much. She gives out class participation in the form of 10pt assignments that are only given out if you show up to class to receive the assignment, so GO TO CLASS. She also offers extra credit due at the time of exam. Take her if you can!

One of the easiest classes i have ever taken. The people that say it is hard must be absolutely out of their minds. I rarely showed up. Study the study guide and you will get an A. If you turn in the study guide, you get 10 points. Sooooo easy. So so so easy. Way too easy. Seriously.

Class contains 4 tests no final exam but a 15 point cumulative essay. Test are fairly easy and extra credit is offered for each exam. Just show up to class do the extra credit and you will pass the tests and class.

Easy A if you show up, the tests are straight from the study guide no tricks if it's not on the study guide it's not on the test. There are warm ups everyday but you can look the answer up in your book and then write it down. She won't care just so long as you learn it.

I took Elisa's online class and all you need to do is read, it's a lot of reading but if you read, I guarantee you will get an A. Weekly discussions, 4 tests, I don't remember a quiz, and a super easy closing assignment. She also offers lots of extra credit. For sure take for an easy A.

No book needed, lectures are posted by the week, take good notes on her one page of notes per section and expect to get 85% or better on tests. Type up an answer to her discussions about relevant topics and reply to your peers twice a week. Simple class; I really enjoyed it during the 4 week summer session online.

Setmire's class was straight forward and fun to be in class as we watch videos that conjoin with the material that we learn in class. Everything is really clear, and there is also an opportunities for extra credit on each one of the tests and twenty points ec overall. So as long as you listen in class and study a little bit, you'll be fine.

I would totally recommend taking this class if you are coming back into the swing of things. This was such a good class to come back to after a 2 year hiatus. It was awesome, definitely do the weekly assignments and feed-backs to others for points. She offers extra credit in case you need it! I wish all classes were like this one.

Setmire is down to earth and open minded. Teaches things that matter and ready to answer all questions. Some group work. Mandatory text book is kind of expensive but suggest you get it. Tests are easy if you study we get study guides that can be turned in the day of the test for extra credit. I would take another one of her classes!

Setmire gives you a study guide listing everything on the test & gives you EC if you show her proof that you studied. She also gives a lot of pop culture and real world examples to help solidify the concepts she is presenting to make it easier on students. You will have to buy the workbook but she explains pricing for older versions of the textbook

Currently taking M01 with Setmire. She is very clear and concise about how assignments are graded, very easy to get full points on all assignments so long as you are reading carefully. Study material is given for each test. Get cheaper e-book for online course (she'll send link 1st week of class).

Prof Setmire was a teacher that ran by her book basically. What she said she was going to cover, she did. If you pay attention in class, read the chapters, which aren't very long, you'll pass with a decent grade. Her tests are basically identifying vocab words and naming different concepts and she gives extra credit on every test.

She gives way too much extra credit, so if you don't get at least a B there's something else going on. Overall a very enjoyable and easy class even for non-majors.

If you are on here looking for a Psych professor, Setmire is the way to go. Such an easy class, but you still learn alot. Tests are extremely easy if you do the study guide. She is very passionate about psychology, so you will never be bored. Dont think twice about taking her. You wont regret it.

This class was so easy! I took her online class and all you do every week is two discussions and then every other week there is a quiz. If you do the study guides for the quiz then it is so easy, got an A on every one. She is also very nice! Let me join the class a week after it started and helped me catch up. Super easy class that is short!

She's great, funny!!! Just do the work and you'll be good :D. I would take her again . The work is hysr reading the text.

Loved this class. Very basic and introductory. I didn't feel like it was too much info. I was pretty familiar with a lot of the topics just from years of living. Her lectures are great. She narrates them to you for the online class. I would play them while I followed along and read. Everything could be found online. A few fun easy projects.

Professor Setmire was great!! She was very kind and caring as a teacher but really knew her material well. She made the lectures very interesting and the class was super easy to get an A in. She gives multiple chances for extra credit and in the online class, all you have to do is go over the lecture notes and answer a discussion question. Easy!

Took the online full term class. One discussion a week, 1 test every 4 weeks. Quizlet helps to a point. Not a lot of work. You do have to buy her book she wrote for $90 so I find that kind of a scam. But the only thing I really used it for was tests. Easy a. Cool topics. Extra credit.

By far the best teacher Ive ever had! I looked forward to every single class with setmire. like seriously I WANTED to never miss a class. She is unbelievably caring of her students, fosters an unbelievable classroom environment and explains the material well. For me it was an easy but her tests definitely were something you needed to study for.

I took Abnormal Psych with her and it was so much fun! She always made the lectures really fun and engaging and shared a lot of stories about herself. Very clear instructions on how the semester is going to pan out and the final was non-cumulative! Would highly recommend taking Elisa!

I took Intro to Psych and loved both the class and Elisa Setmire. Shes really caring and laid back. Shell communicate with you if you need help with something. I ended with a C in the class because I missed 2 exams, but other than that everything was pretty easy and I learned a lot

This professor is so efficient at getting students to actually get involved in the material and enjoy it. I would highly recommend her to anyone! Its a decent amount of reading. The discussions were always interesting! Quick course.

I've taken two classes taught by Elisa and she has been an amazing professor in both. She is very caring and wants you to succeed. Her lectures are really interesting and she does her best to get the class involved. Tests are easy as long as you study, and assignments were pretty easy and straight forward. Easy A in my opinion!

Took her online class and it was amazing! She gave feedback each week on how we did on group discussions along with personal feedback. She also offers a few extra credit options which I doubt youll need as long as you do the discussions and quizzes on time. Also opened up the rest of the unit early so I finished before finals giving me study time.

I took her psy M01 online class and It was pretty easy. There are weekly discussions, 4 exams, and some extra credit opportunities. That said, shes also strict on her grading I was literally less than a percent away from the A in her class and she wouldnt bump me so keep in mind shes one of those profs. ��

I have taken two classes from her and she is enjoyable to have as a professor. Her class structure is super laid back and the classes I have taken were hard enough to learn but easy enough to get an A. I would take her if you are new to college/Psy courses. Participate and give a solid effort in class and you will do well.

Setmire was a really good professor and she made the subject of abnormal psych so interesting. There were three exams (extra credit on all of them), 10 participation assignments (easy), and a final. It was a super interesting class and I loved how she showed video clips to give a visual of the concepts we were learning. 10/10 would recommend.

Setmire seems to have a genuine love for what she teaches and I believe she wants to share that with her students. Don't cheat on her online classes because there is a lot to learn! For a basic intro to PSY this is an excellent choice. Pay attention to lectures and study the terms in order to get an easy A.

I love Professor Setmire! I took Abnormal Psych with her in the spring and it has honestly been my favorite psych class I have taken so far. Her lectures are so interesting and she is so easy to talk to. Never boring and I actually looked forward to going to her class. I definitely recommend!!!

Maybe the easiest class you take in college. The whole online class is basically 4 exams. You don't need to read the chapter, you have plenty of time to look up every answer in the eBook during the test. I literally got 100% on 3 of the 4 tests. I also just liked her and I liked the textbook which she wrote.

This class was super easy but not in a "I didn't learn anything" way and neither was it boring. Her discussions usually consisted of interesting topics and her lectures were always fun to watch. You can tell that she truly has a passion for this. The class consists of a discussion per week, 4 tests, a small paper, and she even offers extra credit.

Setmire is a great professor. She really cares about her students and tries her hardest to make the class accessible. She even has a twitch channel where she streams to answer questions from students. Assignments require a little reading but they're very easy. I usually just googled the exam questions and finished with plenty of time to spare.

She's amazing. Her assignment and instructions are very clear and organized. Class consists of 2 easy and interesting discussions every week, 4 quizzes, 1 short an super easy final paper. Offers extra credit; based on her Twitch Streams.

Take this professor. She will never surprise you with a pop quiz or deceive you. She is straight forward with assignments and tests. She is an amazing teacher and really tries to relate to her students. I took this class in person which makes examines harder I heard that the online class is much easier because of the convince of the internet.

Prof Setmire promos her book and twitch account to the point where it is excessive and annoying. I took her over summer for four weeks. All exams are on quizlet and they are easy. The discussions are simple as well. Such an easy A. I spent 4ish hours a week. TAKE HER.

Deserves 10000000 stars. She is absolutely incredible and had taught me in 3 different classes because I kept coming back to take courses offered by her. I work in mental health and addiction treatment, and I use so much of what she taught me in my career today.

Good class. Highly advise taking the online version if available because open notes and open book is allowed. Test questions are not meant to trick you at all. As long as you read the required information, you'll do great. Extra credit options as well. Finished the class with 102% after extra credit. Highly recommend.

Professor Setmire is great! I took her online course and she was always prepared, emailed back very quickly, was understanding, and went above and beyond to answer her student's question (twitch streams). Her quizzes were very easy and as long as you looked through the lectures, the tests were also easy. She gives a lot of EC (20 pts).

She is an excellent professor! I took her for abnormal psych and research methods and received A's in both classes! She is very easy going and honestly, I really enjoyed her classes and in fact, looked forward to going to them. She really cares for her students and you won't regret taking her. She does hand out homework, however, it's very easy.

I took Professor Setmire's 8 week intro to psychology class which was in a fully online format. The class had discussion posts, reading and an exam each week but they were all easy assignments to complete. I thought Professor Setmire asked interesting questions for our discussion posts and her exams closely modeled her study guide and lectures.

I'm not even done with the class but I had to write that Elisa is just amazing. So caring and sweet. Not only is her psych interesting but it's one of the easiest A's ever. You don't need to do the study guides cuz all her exam questions are on quizzlet. Offers extra credit weekly through her live Twitch meetings. Really awesome prof. TAKE HER!!

Best teacher I've had at Moorpark College! I definitely recommend taking her class. Her assignments are very easy and clear to understand, only one discussion post per week. The tests were almost an exact replica of her study guides, so I recommend doing those before each test. She has extra credit lectures once a week that can boost your grade!

Loved Professor Setmire she is very nice! Her assignments and her exams are easy and straight forward. As long as you do all of the assignments and study for exams you should get an A. I recommend writing out all of the terms for the exams by hand.

I loved professor setmire! The course work was laid out nicely and detailed so you knew exactly what to do. I took a PACE class and it was so easy! You have to purchase a book that she wrote! Which is so amazing and the quizzes are based off of her textbook. Her twitch meetings are optional but you do get extra credit for attending.

I love prof Setmire. She is a great professor and I really enjoyed her class. It is very easy and she offers a lot of extra credit, and she provides study guide for each test (3 total). Also there are weekly discussions and there is one big paper that is 5-6 pages but it is an easy paper. Highly recommend her for any psy class.

Setmire is a solid choice. She gives your her OWN book that she wrote to learn information off of and it is extremely easy to understand. Discussions every week, total of 4 exams, Twitches for extra credit, and overall pretty great. I took notes every week and briefly skimmed them before an exam and got an A every time. Take notes and you'll pass!

Prof. Setmire is one of the most understanding professors I've ever had. She understands that students need to learn more than just get a grade. She prepared us incredibly well for her exams, and at the end of the day, we actually retained the information because the grade wasn't an issue - allowing us to focus on learning the material.

Love her! I have taken multiple of her classes. Her class is built so well and its so stress-free. Do the work and youll pass. For exams, please do the study guides! They help soooo much!

I can't stress enough how much I enjoyed Professor Setmire. I was actually pretty sad when her course ended for me. She is fantastic, her textbook is put together very well and is a great read. She isn't tough, she understands, and she is all around the BEST!!! Can't wait to take another of her classes in the Fall.

Weekly discussions, 3 exams (>80 questions), no quizzes, and one character analysis split into three parts. Weekly Twitch extra credit worth 2 points that help a lot. Gives a study guide of terms for the exam which I used to based my notes off of and got an A every exam. Doesn't try to try to trick you. Final is just a third exam. TAKE HER!

Take her class now! I loved Setmire, the only class I would look forward to. Attendance isn't mandatory but gives you 2 extra credit points if you attend the Twitch meetings and answer a question through canvas. Weekly discussions about the reading. Tests aren't hard, multiple-choice, about 70-80 questions, provides a study guide!

Professor Setmire is one of the best teachers. She is absolutely wonderful, and makes going to class actually fun. I have taken multiple different courses with her, both in-person and online. She makes everything very easy to follow and enjoyable. She wants her students to succeed and learn. Take her it will be the best decision you make.

Setmire is my new favorite professor. She is so personable and SUPER respectful and understanding. There is one discussion a week with a final paper at the end which is pretty easy. She also offers extra credit every week. Please take her if you can!

She is such a sweet teacher. I loved every minute of her class. I am not a psychology major and she has made me more interested in the topic. I would 10/10 recommend taking her class. The expectations are clear and the assignments are easy. If you are struggling she is easy to reach out to.

I enjoyed taking this class. We only received work on Sundays and were given a week to complete the work prior to it being due. She hosts a twitch stream every Wednesday at 8:30 A.M. which is not mandatory but you can receive extra credit for attending. If you fail to incomplete the assignments you cannot make them up. No late work is accepted.

She was kind and very understanding. She also explained things very well and did meetings often.

This class is very easy, with lots of reading. She has weekly lectures and definitely takes notes on her lecture videos very similar to her tests. She has weekly twitch videos that are 30minutes and are extra credit. She does this every week and it can really help your grade. This class is so interesting and great overall. Totally take her.

Professor Setmire is one of the best professors I have had at Moorpark College! The lectures are interesting and easy to take notes on. If you do the study guide you'll do great on the exams. The textbook is worth getting because it is interesting and helpful to fully understand concepts but is not necessary to do well on her exams. Take her!!!

I'm currently taking this class over the summer and not only is the class itself interesting, but Professor Setmire makes it fun too. My class was 4 weeks long, so it is a bit heavier in terms of workload, but it's totally manageable. She writes her own textbook and includes lots of additional resources. It is a GODSEND, highly recommend her class

Amazing professor all around. Knew what she was doing and provided fun and interesting assignments and discussions. Along with the weekly homework, there were weekly extra credit opportunities which are incredibly easy, just a simple q&a. The exams as well were easy being open book and open internet with the online textbook which she wrote herself.

Was such a fun class with amazing lectures! Setmire always had fun activities for us to do and you can tell she has a passion for teaching this course! Mainly graded on three at home open note tests. Show up, pay attention, and fill out the study guides and it's an easy A.

Only gripe is you need to pay $100 for her personally written textbook, but otherwise fantastic professor. Able to move tests back if you're having trouble with time, discussion boards and class are a piece of cake. Her passion for teaching comes through in the quality of the class.

Prof cares a lot! Clear guidelines & what was expected from us. Lectures were actually interesting, I have always been interested in psychology, but Setmire made my love for the subject grow so much more! I would recommend even if you're not interested in psych, this class was great. Assignments were fairly easy + the exams weren't bad either.

I took Setmire's online class, but it was clear through her recorded lectures and interactions with students that she was a great professor. While we had a lot of discussions, they were helpful in understanding the material more. I would definitely recommend Setmire - I'll be taking another class with her next semester!

Professor Setmire is very clear on what to expect from her students. The workload is not overwhelming at all if you do it in the order she provides on her canvas. For asynch classes, it's open book and open notes. There's even extra credit opportunities every week. While I'm not majoring in psych, she still made it enjoyable for me.

Professor Setmire is an awesome professor, she has a manegable workload and simple and straightforward tests, it was an online 8 week course and it honestly feels like a refreshing class to take, I felt engaged and had fun! easy A, great feedback, only downside is the textbook which is 80 dollars but I honestly can put that behind me!

Well-structured class with an easy-to-read textbook. The tests are taken through the textbook and are on the longer side, but they should be easy enough if you read the material and watch the lectures. Prof. Setmire is very entertaining both in the lectures and in the optional Twitch live classes.

Professor Setmire is great - engaging lectures, manageable workload, and fair tests. The $100 textbook is a bummer, but using unstuck study alongside the course materials really helped with studying.

If you dislike proffesers that assign you 5+ assigments per week this might just be the proffesser for you.

Setmire's online class was pretty easy and enjoyable. But be prepared to spend around $80 for the required online textbook site. Assignments are mainly discussions based on reading. I recommend reading 2 chapters a week to stay on top of assignments but given 2 weeks to complete 4 chapters and 4 discussions and any other assignments.

One textbook which is pricey, but it is very straight forward with no fluff. If you read the book and watch the video lectures, you do well on the quizzes. Zoom meetings are once a week, but they are not mandatory. Extra credit available. Loves teaching and wants students to succeed.

Setmire is genuinely my favorite professor I have had at Moorpark!! I'm not someone who normally raises my hand in class but she created such a welcoming environment :) If anything comes up with deadlines she is incredibly reasonable and more than willing to work with you. Oh and she's so funny. Cannot recommend enough!!

Took this class online, very clear instructions on what to do, she opens up 2 weeks worth of assignments at a time so you can do them accordingly to you schedule, weekly twitch meetings to go over the weeks assignments (not mandatory) very sweet person, clearly loves what she's doing, as long as you keep up its pretty easy to pass.

Setmire is amazing! They require a textbook that they've written, which I was skeptical about at first. But they did an amazing job explaining psychology in terms a beginner would understand, rather than a textbook with a lot of confusing vocab. The text also keeps you engaged. They are also very willing to answer questions and make content fun!
