The sweetest professor who truly cares about every student, even when the lecture holds over 100 people. She inspires us all to do awesome artwork! Plus the class is an EASY A! No exams, weekly quizzes (which are 100% just for effort) and easy and interesting art assignments! I highly recommend her and would take another class from her.

Easiest class I've ever taken at NAU. Meets one day a week and all she does is explain what art project is due for the next class. Lots of small drawing and painting projects due, however they are simple and she doesn't care if they are good. She is so sweet, and literally gives you 100% on everything.

ART 100 is a very easy course. If you show up, participate, and get your assignments submitted on time, you're sure to pass. Although it's easy, miss more than 2 classes and your letter grade drops for each absence afterward.

She makes class fun, interesting and very educational showing many styles and kinds of art. she genuinely cares about her students and know's what she is talking about. Would definitely take again. Sad they don't provide her with better working technology it has messes up on her a few times

Elisa is a wonderful instructor! She is extremely kind and attentive. Everybody gets a 100% on the art assignment (even if it's bad) as long as all of the criteria is met. You have to read the online book and take quizzes, but they're not hard. If you miss more than two classes, she WILL drop you a letter grade. Overall, her class was so much fun.

Good and easy lectures. She said to just enjoy class and that works. It is an easy A. And a lot of assignments of drawing and painting. Fun class to finish a requirement. But make sure you attend. After missing class twice the letter grade drops by one.

The lectures were really fun and engaging. She had videos to show off the artists being talked about which is always nice. The art projects were mostly fun though at times juvenile and not very challenging if you already have an art background. The outside reading material was very dry and heavily religious art based.

super sweet professor. class is extremely easy. class once a week (attendance mandatory) where she talks for half of it and then you draw for the other half. had reading quizzes which were easy. one assignment due a week usually and i almost always finished it in class. super easy grader.

FAVE CLASS SO FAR! An hour of sitting, watching slides and videos, and starting on the weeks art piece at the end bit of class. Always plays music and allows food and drinks. If you suck at drawing like me don't worry, just meet the criteria and you'll get full points. Online textbook/access code needed. Quizzes online & check answers as u go easy!

Go to class, it is the most easiest & great! Yes the code & art supplies is pricey but this can help boost your GPA up. She teaches using slides & videos on the artists of that week. This was my favorite class, hw is due every Sunday night online literally just a drawing with certain grading details like making sure there is reflective light etc.

This is a very easy class, even if you are not good at drawing (like me) you will still do good in the class. I wouldn't miss a day though because it could drop you a letter grade. However, if you can not make the scheduled day she allowed us to come into an earlier scheduled class in that week to get your attendance points.

This class was definitely an easy A. Elisa loved art and loved teaching it. In class we listed to lecture half the time, and the other half we worked on easy but fun art projects. Very little homework outside of class. Definitely recommend if you want an easy A and want to get inspired to make art.

This professor is very passionate about her field of study. She allows her students to be as creative as they desire. The online textbook and the art packet are a little expensive, but it's totally worth the experience of the class.

This class was the easiest three credit class I have taken. The professor is energetic and genuinely cares for students. Do the assignments which you can finish in class and you'll get an A.

I took ART100 with Elisa and I absolutely loved the class. Not only does she play amazing music (Odesza) to start every class but you can tell she genuinely cares about her students. This class is your typical art class with a very passionate teacher and students who couldn't care less. She's very sweet and does not grade you based off of your skill, but of your explanations of each piece. An easy A for sure and minimal work. The textbook is a little pricey but necessary

Had to take this class to fulfill a liberal studies requirement. I was hesitant about taking it due to my lack of artistic ability but Elisa makes you feel at home and understands everyone's abilities. The lectures are laid back and fun and it was a highlight of my day.

I loved taking a class with Professor Wiedeman. She was so caring and respectful towards her students. The class is structured beautifully and I actually learned so much. If you simply show up and do the assignments you're guaranteed an A. I am not an artistic person whatsoever and her class made me feel like I was Picasso!

Professor Elisas class is soo easy even if you dont like Drawing. She is using useful and interesting videos She is very kind and professional and always willing to help.

She was passionate about the subject and conveying her knowledge and appreciation to her students. She was very understanding about work and was very approachable.

If you are looking for an easy A I highly recommend taking this course. There are no tests, you just have short assignments each week that are super easy. Your drawings are graded on participation so don't worry if you can't draw. Midterm and final are essay's but as long as you show up and do your work you will get an A.

Elisa is a wonderful lady with a passion for art. I was pretty nervous for this class having never taken an art class before but this class was fun and I learned so much. While some assignments do still seem a bit daunting, Elisa is always there to encourage and assist. I highly recommend her as a professor and this course in general.

I wasn't thrilled about having to take art in college, but Mrs. Wiedeman made the class so much fun. She just gives off such good vibes and wants everyone to have a good time in her lectures. Her lectures may seem a little long at times, but overall I really enjoyed the class and what I got out of it.

I am not an art major or even good at art but I absolutely loved this class! You don't have to be an amazing artist to take this class. Just try your best and you will be good. Super easy class. No art skills are necessary. You could draw a scribble and you will get an A on the project. Quizzes are impossible to fail and the weekly projects are an easy A

Professor Wiedeman has been such an amazing art teacher, I loved her class so much that I plan to now pursue a minor in art (Im currently a nursing major). She is so inspirational and even having her in covid times she has been so accommodating. Even if you dont find yourself to be an artist, I completely recommend you take her class!

Due to the pandemic, this course has been moved to online. Professor Wiedeman set up this course in ensure we learn and still get a classroom atmosphere. This was probably my favorite online class because I felt like I was still in touch with my peers and the feedback on all assignments were encouraging! I would definitely take this course again!

Easiest class offered at NAU! There are weekly art assignments due with short reflections that are extremely easy, one final at the end of the semester and textbook readings/quizzes throughout the semester. You're not tested on any material/artists covered in class. As long as you turn in stuff on time and follow directions this class is an easy A!

I came into this class not really caring about art, and just wanting some free credits. However, I came out having really enjoyed the class, and gaining newfound respect for art. The class is an easy A as long as you put effort into every assignment, and even if you hate art, you'll likely get enjoyment one way or another. The TAs are also amazing!

This was by far one of my favorite electives Ive taken. Im a social work major so I felt a little out of place at first but she reassured us that we didnt have to be good at art and I just felt so welcomed. She was awesome and Id definitely take her again if I get the opportunity! Loved her!!

The lectures are long and you are never tested on them. Attendance is mandatory only for the grade, but you will understand the assignments and test without going to class.

ART 100 is a fun class and an easy A. Lectures consist of learning about various modern artists and getting started on your weekly assignment. Every week you are assigned a quick drawing and reflection for homework. She offers a lot of extra credit if you miss an assignment. She is also very sweet and caring.

This was a really fun class and professor! You make art during the class but she also lectures before that. There are online quizzes but they are really easy and you can correct your answers if wrong. When you submit an art project, there is a bit of writing to do but its not crazy, normally a half/whole page

She was sooo nice and it was such an easy class. I loved how engaging the class was for how big it was. DO NOT BUY THE ART KIT. It is 80 dollars but you can get everything at a craft store for 20 and even split the supplies with a friend. That's all:)

She's very nice and an easy grader. However, I think this class requires you to spend way too much money to get access to the course materials. You have to get a Cengage subscription as well as an $80 art kit. You are assigned 1-2 art projects weekly, but they're usually easy and don't take long. Good class to take if you need the credits.

Easiest class I've ever taken even including high school. There's one big project that you have a month to do, most of it is an essay- I did it in two days and got a 98/100. You do not have to be even decent at art to do well in this class. The lectures can be boring, but only once a week. Attendance is mandatory and will affect your grade.

The art assignments are fun and if there are ever any issues she is flexible with her students. Because this course was hybrid there was quite a bit of reading outside of class but for the quizzes, you had unlimited attempts at them. Lectures are long but are interesting for students interested in art. Very positive and nonjudgmental environment.

Professor Weideman has a passion for art and wants to help others have one as well. her homework is time-consuming but most of the time I could get it done in 10 minutes and receive a 100% just make sure to hit all the required materials.

There are 10 online quizzes due every few weeks that are super easy and the weekly assignments. There was extra credit provided at the end of the semester, highly recommend this teacher.

The art project that you do on the current week will be due 2 Sundays from then. It's a hybrid class there are online quizzes but they are super easy. You can check your work as many times as you want. She takes attendance at random times through class so make sure to stay. Don't sit on the outside rows if you don't want your art shown to class.

Overall this class was very easy, it's clear from the beginning that you don't need to be good at art to receive a good grade but there is more writing involved in assignments as the semester goes on. You have to buy a $100 textbook and art supplies, but you can get by with a Sharpie, sketchbook, and watercolors. I took ARE330W (Wasn't an option here) with Elisa this past Spring. Absolutely amazing professor! Wouldn't want to take it with anyone else. Always caring, providing support to all students who needed/wanted it and would work with you in different circumstances. Her passion is crystal clear and all she wants is for her students to succeed.

Since this was the intro to art, she was very easy all you have to do is try. You didnt have to be an artist you could submit a bare minimum art project and would receive a100%

Professor Wiedeman has such a calming voice. The class is lecture heavy, but the way she speaks makes it interesting, and the lectures don't last long because when she's done you start making art. Anyone can pass this class, she doesn't care if you're good at art or not, just that you put in effort. Very fun class.

I loved this class so much it was a breath of fresh air from my studies. The professor is so nice and understanding you could email her with problems and she'd work with you. There are lectures but they're interesting and its only half talk half art. you don't need to be skilled to pass either.

Professor Wiedeman's class is very lecture heavy but she includes a ton of videos and pictures in the slides and you don't need to take notes so it is easy to pay attention. We go over a different topic every week which keeps the engagement up. She is very encouraging and allows you to listen to music sometimes when you are creating art.

Have to pay for textbook. Class is easy, coming from someone who is a horrible artist. You dont need the art kit. I did not buy it and passed all my assignments (literally used lined notebook paper for assignments). Teacher caught me one day without an art kit and got a lil upset but she didn't say anything again after so...ya! Class is relaxing!!

I loved Elisa! This was such a relaxing class and honestly the highlight of my weeks. It's only one day a week with one assignment and 2 weeks to complete each assignment. This was such an easy class. You do one project a week based on the lecture of the week, and she would let you go to the other section if you couldn't make it to yours. The easiest class ever!

I loved this professor, you can tell she loves what she is teaching. I loved coming to this class every week and getting to do the fun assignments she had planned. The only down side to this class is that there is both a textbook (I forgot the price of) and a mandatory art kit that is about $60).
