This is a great professor. She is extremely helpful and willing to go the extra mile for her students. She is extremely intelligent and makes her class very interesting. I almost changed my major because of her.

I loved her class! Was one of the few classes where I learned a lot and managed to retain a lot. She makes the subject matter interesting and has an overall fantastic personality. She is definitely one of the best!

One of the nicest most understanding professors I've ever had at BSC...I'd def. take one of her classes again, she teaches material so well I actually thought of minoring in anthropology.

Excellent teacher. Makes the subject come alive! Very inspiring but has a tendency to make people feel inferior about any trouble or disability they may have.

She is a very good Professor and is very smart about what she teaches. Has a tendnecy of picking on students that do not know certain things. Makes you work really hard for your grade. Easy work, just people think too much into it.

Good teacher and a very smart woman, but she knows that she is and makes it quite obvious.I would definitely recommend anyone to take the class, just don't try to answer Q's in class you don't know are def right. she will make you look and feel gullible.

i had this prof for intro to archeaology and intro to folklore and she is one of the best teachers ive had to date. it is true what other people are saying about how she can sometimes make u feel dumb, but know what to say, sheisnt meanitsher personality

She can be condencending and make it out that her opinions are right and the class is wrong. Even though she can be arrogant, she makes learning the material fun. She also is a fair grader.

Brilliant! Fabulous! The best and most fun professor at BSC! Her methods for teaching really make U learn the material. You have to read the assignments, but it's all so much fun! Love her personality and her style too! Very fair!

Really Easy. Writes down everything you need to know on the board. I had a take home test. Also had her for anth of women and had all take homes. Really easy.

If not a hard worker, DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. Gives everything, but expects everything in return. No final exam only proj.'s, grades fast, energetic, clear, all notes on chalkboard, well organized, 1 of BSC's best! Fair grader, answers all ?'s, very helpful BUT MUST ATTEND EVERY CLASS! My fav.!

She is def. one of the best teachers at BSC, she knows her stuff and covers a lot of material with clarity, but she is a horrible and unprofessional person and I am glad I only have to see her 3 hours a week! Take her classes only if you have to, or really want to learn!

This lady has tons of energy but it makes lectures interesting and makes it very easy to pay attention to her. She interacts with the students during class on different levels which makes it more fun. The (3-4) exams are easy but the projects require a lot of work. Would definitely recommend for GER's.

She is an excellent teacher. She is interesting and she wants the class to pass. Doesn't mean she will accept students being lazy, but she'll throw some extra credit and some extra assignments if grades need to be smoothed over. She knows what she is talking about and finds many ways to present it to the class. Take her Anthro. of Women if you can.

This is a very technical course and is focused on archaeology in the US. She is a good teacher, but the class is hard.

I loved this class and have recommended it to a lot of people who need to fill a GER. She is interesting to listen to and also concerned with not only teaching the materail but her students well being as well(i know from personal experience). she expects you to know the material for tests and as long as you study you do great. I loved the class!

I've taken 2 classes with her. She is just an awesome teacher. Simply study and participate; you'll do well. Some people think she is gender "biased"(The appropriate term is ****-gender has to do with the sex's social role), but she is not. She is very amazed when men do take her classes. Take her class, you will enjoy it and learn a thing or two

She knows what she's talking about. Her tests and projects are hard but she gives time at the beginning of everyclass for people to ask questions so if you speak up with your concerns then you're good. She is kinda funny in an off-way, took her twice

She's a really smart lady. The class is dificult though if you don't prepare. She'll help you out but two papers are 20% of the grade and need to be extremely in depth analysis of the material covered and then some.

Brenner is a very smart woman. She is almost too smart! She is knowledgeable, and also helpful if you need that extra push. In order to succeed with her, first maintain good standing with her as in show up for class(attendance is important), and stay on her good side and be friendly. Also, do your readings, because she will know! Great professor!

I have to say out of all the classes I have ever had on campus, her class was the best. It was her class that got me to major in anthro. her lectures go well with the book. a must have prof. the smartest and greatest prof of all time. ingmanson is okay, (her tests stinks) but brenner is better

i liked her yea she was tough but she really wanted everyone to do a good job and if you really show her your trying she is more lenient. she loves what she does and maybe she takes a step furthur sometimes, all she wants is for you to love it just as much as she does. i liked her and if your willing to work then youll like her as well.

If a student does the work and comes to class they are rewarded with a good grade and a fair unbiased attitude. She is a great teacher and I have learned allot from her.

If the class was just listening to her lectures and taking notes, it would be amazing. But her workload is more than any honors class I've ever experienced. She is rude very rude to the students who do no work, but helpful if you approach her with questions and contribute to the class. I recommend her if you have all other**** classes.

I took this as my freshman seminar and really enjoyed it. The class was kept interesting, we worked out of regular books instead of textbooks, and we only wrote four papers. The syllabus was extremely clear. She was helpful at the beginning of the semester but could be extremely condescending toward students.

very blunt

She's a good teacher if you are interested in the subject matter. She talks down to students. She tries her best to help but expects a lot in return. If you don't know the material, she doesn't teach it to you. You have to find the answers yourself and she doesn't tell you what they are untill someone in the class speaks up.

She's funny, I think. At the beginning I didn't think I'd like it because she shot me down when I asked a too specific question. But she's been VERY helpful when I asked her opinion on Grad schools. Also, yeah, she's really blunt. But let's put on our big boy pants here. Your in college.

extremely hard papers all the time and you need to write analytical for them

I just transferred to BSU and this class proved to me that this was the right choice. It opened my eyes to Anthropology and now I'm majoring in it! Do your work and go to class and Brenner will love you. She answers any question but challenges you at the same. I definitely recommend taking Brenner and I would love to take her other courses!

Brenner is amazing. She is so compassionate and understanding and offers many attempts on papers and quizzes. If you aren't doing well in the class its likely because you don't make enough effort. If you meet with her she gives amazing feed back on essays and hand feeds you what to write and where to put it in the essay. She is the best!!

Can be a little spacey and all over the place. But a very nice lady overall. Lectures are interesting and she trys to keep the class engaged. Has genuine care for her students success.
