Dr. Armstrong-Mensah is a great professor and the global health class that she taught was one of my favorite classes! All MPH students needs to take this class atleast once as it opened my eyes to the problems that are faced on a global level. The grading was completely fair and Dr. Armstrong-Mensah was always there when you needed help!

I enjoyed the Global Health course that I took with Dr. Armstrong-Mensah. The lectures are amazing and very interactive. She puts a tremendous amount of effort into the information that she presents to the students. You will have 2 papers, 1 group project, and 1 presentation. If you follow instructions for each assignment, the course will be easy.

The course itself is very important and there is so much too learn. very valuable if public health is your path. The teacher was great , very helpful, clear, and her lectures were clear, fun, so informative...I will recommend this class with this teacher...

Be ready to take notes and consistently study them. Ask what she wants from you and she will tell you. Very informative and interactive lectures, and if you study the information given to you in lectures, you will do well in the class. DO NOT slack and you will be successful.

Dr. Armstrong is an extremely knowledgeable, experienced public health professional, and it shows in her lecturing. The quizzes are short, but often require intimate knowledge of what was covered in class. Exams are focused less on specifics. Expect to study a lot to do well, but also expect to come out with a wealth of global health knowledge.

Dr. Armstron-Mensah is a wonderful professor and really cares about the success of her students. I took her health equity, chronic disease, and emergency preparedness class. You need to read before class because she will call on you. Her quizzes are pretty easy if you follow her study guide. She pays a lot of attention to grammar in papers.

She cares for her student's success and is willing to help you achieve an A in her class but also help you along the way in your major. Dr. Armstrong-Mensah is by far one of my favorite. She keeps you engaged and assure that her lectures are interactive so you take something away from the course. she is a very intelligent and knows her stuff. She wants you to succeed, which is why she can be a little tough on you. I've had her for 3 of my classes and would still take her for more.

There is almost always a group assignment, attendance is mandatory, there are readings & quizzes, but she always makes sure that you are well-prepared for assessments because she wants you to learn & succeed.

Dr Mensah is a born teacher. Her teaching methodology is excellent. She teaches well, and understands each students weaknesses and strengths using her personality dynamics. Dr. Armstrong-Mensah was an awesome teacher for me. Her lectures are humorous but also serious at the same time, showing you how important the topics mean to her. She also had a few guest speakers come in. Her quizzes and tests were easy; they were based off of her lecture slides, so you will have to read them thoroughly to pass them.

Dr. Mensah is one of my favorite professors in the public health department. I have taken her for 3 classes altogether and at first, she seemed strict but once you undertand her lecture style and coursework you will see she is just trying to help you. She truly cares about her students and seeing them succeed. Attendance is mandatory as well.

Good professor, but make sure you go to class. For projects and papers, follow the rubric. She is very specific and it will reflect in your grade. Sometimes she talks fast and can be hard to understand but she has an accent. She cares for students. We had guest speakers frequently, but they were actually relevant to the class! I would take again.

Attendance is graded and she requires participation within lectures to ensure that youre in class. Group project is spilt into multiple parts, so its not too hard. Quizzes and final exam are easy because she gives out pointers that we can find on her slides. Really nice!!!

Pretty chill except for when it comes to participation. She will make you talk every single class so be prepared for that. Also takes projects really seriously and will grill you on the process and presentation. Honestly wished I could've taken more classes with her.

Dr. Armstrong-Mensah is very supportive. She also encourages a balance of academic work with social activities (MetaSeries 8 and International Students' Club). She is also innovative, evidenced by the pioneer group project termed Parent-Student Mentorship (in-person and virtual) with parent-child dyads, including children with disabilities.

She is very principled and drive students to be as well. She is very straight forward her lectures are easy to understand.

Dr Armstrong is a very caring professor; her instructions are clear and concise. You have to participate in the class. she is very accessible after class. she responds to emails in a timely manner. I took study abroad with Dr. Armstrong-Mensah and it was such a beautiful experience. The entire program was well organized and she always went above and beyond to make sure everything was on track. Attending her class gave me the necessary knowledge and skills to advocate for the health women and their children through the countdown to 2030 project in Africa.

I took Dr. Armstrong-Mensah's PHPB 7600, Global Health, in the Fall Semester of 2024. I must say that she is very knowledgeable, thorough, a critical thinker, and a professor who engages her students. Although it was an online course, she had a system to ensure that each student fully participated in each week's class. I truly enjoyed this class.
