Take Baez if you can, she's awesome, just show up to class and don't talk while she is lecturing and you'll learn alot and enjoy it too!

She's really nice. I took the convo classes with her in Mexico, and I think nearly everyone got A's who showed up and participated in convos.

Profesor Baez is an excellent teacher.I am an international student and this is my 1st semester. I took spanish 101 and was not scared from the beginning cos spanish is an easy language overall.But she made it fun to learn.also as a teacher she is very clear about what she says. I've a perfect GPA of 4.ppl sayin she's not good don't study at all.

This teacher teaches a 5 unit class. It moves a little quicker than a normal 3 unit class, but is do-able. You should study. Frankly, I think she could have given more work than she did. So it was a good class if you are willing to do the work.

First time I take Spanish and I really liked Prof. Baez' class. She is strict about attendance and punctuality if she wasn't I would have missed the class extra credit. She is not rude at all on the contrary she is extremely organized. She gives you very organized pages of what she covers and follows them and she tells you what you need to read ahead to follow her class. It is easy to follow the lessons. You have to be a real moron not to see the organization of the class. She is strict, but is a great teacher!

If you really want to learn Spanish and you are no lazy you should take Dr. Baez. She is a superior teacher, very knowledgeable, only those insecure students perceive it as a superiority complex, welcome to college. By all means I want my professors to know a lot more than me!

I did hate the students that wasted time because they did not read or even brought their books to class, she should have kicked them out, but she was very patient,they drove me crazy. In other Spanish classes I took I hardly spoke Spanish, In Baez class you get to practice a lot, it's fun. There is speaking Mid-Term. I studied and did very well!

Span 202 is a very fun class, although Baez is strict, and the class is hard for a non-native speaker. She assigns three textbooks, which can seem like a lot but over all Baez is a fair grader and likes to give out extra credit.

Baez made the class fun. She should kick out people that know more Spanish. The class is challenging. She is helpful and nice and gives many chances to learn and improve, not to be confused with allowing herself to be taken advantage of. I learned a lot from her and enjoyed her class and made friends speaking Spanish in class.

I thought she was a great teacher. I don't understand all the negative feedback. She gives plenty of chances to us to succeed and although she may be strict, I believe it was necessary because learning a new language is not easy. I would recommend. Just keep on top of Spanish Lab and the homework. Quizzes are straight forward.

The grammar was easy becaus it was the same grammar from 101, the difference was more verbs and a lot more practice. Take her she is a great teacher. Her final exams are challenging and she prepared us well.

I disagree. The class was fun. The professor's directions were very clear and easy. It was challenging. However, there were some obtuse people in class with questions and comment that were very frustratng.

I had taken Spanish in High School so I knew some basic stuff, Baez has mandatory lab hours, and homework, if you want an A you have to do everything. Study for the tests! EC is available. There are spoken parts of the test, some may think this is a lot for a 101 class.

OMG! the previous person must have not paid attention when the professor was teaching. The class was easy, it was like 102 but with more vocabulary, more culture and writing. I learned from the professor how to write summaries which helped me in my English class. Don't believe that person, was probably one of the bad students in class.

I didn't read the textbook that much, but I paid attention in class and did the homework and I got an A. The conversations in class and listening to the teacher speak spanish helped me for the oral exams.

She has to squeeze in two years worth of Spanish in one semester. That being said, she's an amazing teacher and she can be absolutely HILARIOUS. The in class activities are a lot of fun and you actually learn a lot. I'd even go as far as to say that this was one of my most favorite classes over the years.
