She will give help if asked and seems to like her subject.

She is very nice and is willing to give help when the students need it. She makes classes fun and has open office hours and is willing to have students come in and talk to her. Will go out of her way to help. Good teacher.

Elizabeth is a great teacher. She is willing to do anything to help the students learn. She is excited about the subject and if shows!! Really good.

Very helpful

This was a very hard class, but I feel that the instructor made it tolerable for me. Her instructions were clear, notes good,she responded to emails promptly. She warned us going into the class that it would be harder to do on line. I appreciated having her as an instructor.

Good teacher, knows her stuff and tries her best to make sure you know enough to get a good grade on the tests

She tries everything to make sure everyone understand each chapter. She have group work question at the end of every chapter. So you have to make sure you have time through out the quarter to keep up with her. Both mid terms are comprehensive and final too. Her exam was hard. I do not recommend her to anyone.

A very tough course. But, Professor Betzel works very hard to make it understandable to everyone. Her office hours are very helpful. Keeping up with the content is key to getting through the course. I enjoyed her teaching style and willingness to work with the students help them gain understanding.

Teaches from examples mostly, so you need to make shure to do all homework, even though its not required

MAKES HER STUDENTS WORK, BUT DOES HER BEST TO EXPLAIN THE MATERIAL SO THAT WE CAN LEARN IT. LIKE HER STORIES AND EXAMPLES!

Had her for a "Hybrid" class, she help me when I emailed questions. She seems to be more willing to help if you show up for the classes and turn work in on time. I would take a class her again.

Mrs. Betzel is such a good teacher! She is very helpful. I have an A and it would not be possible if it wenr't for her help! I recommend her definiteyl anytime you have a question she will definitely help idk what the other people are talking about!

i'm an international student who have never been in cscc,she was my firt teacher and the best one .she is the a wonderful professor and person ,very nice and helpful ,i got an A in her class because she explaned every thing clearly.and i studied hard using her notes.i really like her and recomand her.

I took her hybrid, very good explanations online recordings, however, she went too fast for me in person. I had a pretty good load while taking this class Winter 09' so I'm happy that I passed!

Extremely nice lady...pretty good teacher...makes too many technical errors when working through the problems, but always eventually corrects herself. She is a very forgiving grader on quizzes, and she structures the quiz and homework totals in the student's favor. Her physical appearance is very clean cut, and frankly, easy on the eyes.

She did a wonderful job teaching though my grade may not reflect it, but it wasn't not her fault. I was amazed on how attentive, helpful and considerate she was. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone.

Mrs. Betzel is incredibly helpful, if you attend class regularly. She makes a ton of arithmetic errors but always corrects herself...and some of the time her errors really help your grade out on quizzes, homework assignment, etc. Her tests are not easy by any means, but she does cover all the material (sometimes only for a minute, so study)

She was very helpful. She has office hours to get individual help which is invaluable. Most of the work is on mymathlab, and you can access the textbook on there. She teaches mostly from her printed notes and mymathlab. Her notes are just like her tests. She's great!

great instructor! I took statistics which is a naturally very difficult class so I got a C, but she's very helpful. tests are pretty difficult! study up!

Definately one of the best teachers i've had at columbus state! She will make sure you know the material before she tests you on it. I dont know why people are saying she gives too much work because i would rather have work to prepare me for the tests rather then feeding you to the wolves. I definately reccommend her if you want a great teacher!!

I took her HYBRID class. It was hard, but I think because the course itself is hard. She doesn't make the tests and if you want to pass them, you need to study no matter what. Amount of homework is fine, not insane as somebody commented here. She is nice and tries to help you. Buy access code (you have to do that) and you the textbook online

Took the hybrid course. Access code costs ~$90, comes with e-book. Not difficult as other raters have posted. Read the book, review the videos and do the hw. If you do that for every chapter, you can get an A/B. She answers e-mails quickly and concisely. Tests are departmental but follow the same format as the practice tests and hw.

Elizabeth is a fantastic instructor. Hybrid has recorded lectures that gets right to the point and easy to follow. They dont go on for hours. Labs were fairly easy and she always made herself available after class and answered emails quickly. Def wuld recommend. Only used the book for quizzes. Utilized statsportal and extra credit to boot.

Her quizes and tests are like her guided notes. I hate math with a passion and I'm not very good at it but her class was decent, provides extra credit which helps replace a bad quiz or two. She makes little arithmatic errors, but not a big deal. She's really nice as well

She is a very sweet lady and she tries very hard to help everyone out. She had weekly live office hours where she would answer questions and review whatever you want. She does make some arithmetic mistakes and the graded HW and Lab assignment are horrible. She is a sweet and smart lady. You will learn something in this class.

This was my second time taking Stats 1350, spring semester I received an E from a different teacher. This class was very easy to understand seeingas I got a B this semester. She was very quick to get tests graded and black board was always up to date. I would totally recommend her :)

Professor BETZEL is one the best professors i have ever taken. if you do the review you will get A on the exam. She is very clear about everything. There are quizzes every class day, but they are very easy. if you do good on quizzes and do the homework then you will receive A on every exam.

She's a great teacher, I took her blended course and love it! As long as you watch the video lectures and go to class you'll do great!

Her class is well-organized. It is very hard to catch up with, but it is the right place if you are eager to learn. Besides, she helps you whenever you ask help. She is fair, kind, and clever. I really recommend her to you.

Stats 1350: Super great professor. Very thorough with lectures and guided notes. Very sweet and kind, comes right to you once you raise your hand and gives good feedback. Very intelligent and have learned a lot from her so far. Highly recommended if you truly want to learn

Great professor, has very clear understandable lectures and printouts, tests are exactly like the homework and stuff in the lectures so its no surprise what you will see on the exam. Would definitely take a course with this instructor again if I had to take another stats course

I just finished the summer 2019 class. I thought it was fairly easy. There is a lot of work each week but it definitely prepares you for the exam. I didnt need to study that much because the homework really helped. I recommend if you are eager to learn and organized.

She is a great person, but she is confused sometimes and the class was set up poorly, but it is not her fault. I would definitely take another class with her, because I would rather have a good teacher and a tough class then a tough class and a bad teacher.

Professor Betzel is a wonderful teacher. She cares about her students greatly and wants to see them succeed. That being said come prepared to work. She will happily help you with anything you need, but you need to be sure to keep up with assignments to succeed in her class. She does give extra credit from time to time.

Prof Betzel was a very caring professor who was more willing to help you if you participated in class. There are in class assignments and a group project. Quizzes and Exams are a lot harder than the weekly homework given. Definitely have to study and bring a graphing calc to each class. I enjoyed this class but def have to put in work.

Professor Betzel's Stat-1350 class was my first online math class, and she helped me understand the concepts easily and with clear feedback. Participation matters (as it should with any class), and group projects are given with the option of working solo as well. She cares about students and will help you succeed if you work hard.

This is a hard course but Betzel does a wonderful job preparing students for tests and assignments. This professor is very available and willing to help students at every point during the semester. If you need to take this class, I highly suggest Professor Betzel.

The material was all set up in an easily accessible way. I liked the way it was organized. Her lectures were very clear, she had great response time and overall fair.
