Very helpful teacher. She realizes not everyone is good at math and will work with you to get you to understand.

I remember having her teach me years ago! She makes math easy, would you believe. If you show up and do your homework (and talk to her if you need help), expect an A. It's that simple.

AMAZING! i went into a summer course of intermediate algebra HATING math, and came out of there almost actually LIKING it!!!! i highly recommend Mrs. Bishop to anyone who actually wants to learn math without dying mentally!

it's a hard class, but she goes above and beyond to make sure that everyone understands. it's especially nice for women who may not have always had success in math to see her being excited about algebra.

Very clear lectures. It's obvious she loves what she does, which is fun to watch. Cares about her students, is available before class, and helpful during office hours. Great website! I like being able to check my grades. Gets exams back the next class! If you do your homework,ask questions during class and participate, you'll do well.

BEST PROFESSOR AT MPC. I absolutely cannot believe that I enjoy math. She gave me an enormous amount of confidence. If I can do well in her classes, I can do well in all the others. She enjoys teaching and it shows. And the guys go class just to look at her!

In high school, I failed Pre-Cal. I never thought I'd do well in a math class, until Ms. Bishop. She explains things clearly, and is willing to review. Her enthusiasm makes the class pleasant. I got an A in her class, and was able to move past general studies requirements and live out my dream of forgetting all the math I've ever learned.

I was never good at math and was totally dreading this class, but I needed it to transfer. It really turned out to be my favorite class this semester. She is an awesome instructor, always willing to help you out with anything. Great energy, and well worth taking!

I really enjoyed her Precalculus class this summer. She was always helpful before and after class when I needed help. Her test were hard, but I thought they were fair. I would strongly recomend her!

I loved her class. It was awesome to have a great math teacher after 4 years of terrible ones. She was very clear about what would be on the test. I felt sorry though for people who aren't good at taking tests since that's all the grade was based on.

THE TEST WAS FAIR, don't even listen to the other reviews, test wasn't even hard. In fact, the test questions are based on your homework, Mrs.Bishop just switched some numbers around or sometimes it's exactly the same homework problem. I guess some people didn't do their homework. I aced with mostly A's and B's on the test, and I'm not a math whiz!

She's an amazing teacher and really willing to work with you. Mrs. Bishop is knowledgeable and she enjoys teaching. She has a great sense of humor as well. I totally recommend her classes!

As a reentry student in 1995, I dreaded taking math, as I had proven muslef a math moron in previous attempts. I took 261,263,&Precalc from Ms Bishop,& not only got A's in each class, but got an A in Calc. All due to her thorough, patient, and compassionate teaching methods. She is a gifted instructor. I have her to thank for my love of Math.

She's a challenging teacher with high expectations. There's no room for falling behind, so don't make this mistake. I did, then had to drop and take it again so I spent a year on Int. Algebra. I had this class online and loved the format - the tools in the software were GREAT! Sign up for the online class, then attend her lectures if you have time.

Great teacher for someone who struggled with algebra years ago. Brushing up on basic math before taking class helps. She does not reteach middle school math. You must attend class, do ALL homework, and ask questions. You'll work hard, but tests are fair. She is upbeat and nice. Highly recommend.

Elizabeth gave me the tools and confidence to master the math language. She to me is the epitomy of what a teacher of her calibre should embrace. I no longer have math anxiety. Elizabeth was so helpful! I have always struggled with math, especially algebra but the way she explained things they just made sense. I highly recommend her! It is the first "A" I have ever gotten in an algebra class and it wasn't easy but with her help it was achievable!

The online class was actually very draining; the amount of work due each week was insane, even more than the physics and chem classes that I've taken. Hours and hours worth of homework, WAY more than you would have in an in-person class. Prof. Bishop is helpful and upbeat, but the workload is too much.

Dropped this course multiple times, but Elizabeth Bishop has helped me to achieve an "A" in class. Fantastic instructor! Grade is based on 5 exams (lowest grade dropped) and the final. I cannot say enough great thins about her!

Elizabeth is the ultimate teacher. Beautiful, intelligent and caring, with an amazing way of making the subject interesting and approachable. If you take good notes, you will need the book only for the homework problems. You need to do them, but she is available and willing to help you suceed. She gets an A+!

Very fair teacher. Teaches the book. Read ahead and you will be prepared. Tests were fair, some right from the h.w. Told us we didn't have to do the homework, but told us we wouldn't pass the course unless we did. Available after class and during office hours to help you. Never made me feel "like a dummy" for asking questions.

I took this class online after taking 263 online- big mistake! This class was very difficult and I felt that the homework wasn't repetitive enough for the material to be absorbed (even though it is the same online class) overall the class was ok, but I would suggest taking it in person.

Not an easy class to take online, but Elizabeth was available and quick to assist where she could. As the chair of the Math Dept at our school, she naturally has high standards and it shows in her teaching style. Tests were easier than course material and quizzes and there were always bonus questions at the end. Good experience overall.

No doubt this teacher will make you a better math student. Somehow she presents all the new material in way that isn't "too bad." I mean, yea.. it's math, so it's going to suck at times. But Mrs. Bishop is always helping and will slow down for you to ask questions. Wonderful teacher. Her enthusiasm for math really shines in the classroom.

Great Teacher! Really made everything easy to understand. I was never good at math but I actually enjoy this class. Do the homework and you can get at least a B in the class. The tests cover exactly what is taught and what you practice in the homework. Fast response to questions and she loves Math!

Elizabeth was sent by the Math gods to save all of us who were panicked by it. Elizabeth is a truely gifted teacher who made me understand math for the first time. Her methods are unlike any math class I have been in which may explain why I found success with her.

She's a great teacher but I think she could make her lectures more exciting I have fallen asleep in her class almost everyday but i still seen to learn in my sleep so she's an amazing teacher

Elizabeth Bishop is a great instructor. When I need guidance she was always quick to respond. I took this class online and it was an enormous amount of work. I would highly suggest taking this class in person. This was the hardest class I have ever taken online. Too much work!

I've taken pre-algebra and inter algebra with Bishop and she is GREAT! She stays on topic and makes sure everyone is on track and understands material before moving on. I would definitely recommend her! She does give out homework usually everyday but it isn't much. Practice test are just like the real thing. Easy if you keep up!

I don't really remember a whole lot from the class as I was under a hydrocodone because of surgery, but I remember her being very understanding and there when I needed her. Thanks for helping me get through a VERY tough class for me.

For you future Engineer students; pay attention, the "Wheel of Knowledge" is your friend. I have had the opportunity to apply these math principles from Trig and Calculus, plus Geometry, it makes your future fun!

Bishop is one amazing instructor hands down the best math instructor I have ever had in my life there for students lectures are easy to follow I highly recommend taking her classes she will make math fun and easy like 2+2 if you have questions about the homework she will answer them will definitely take any math class you need with her!!!!

Online SUMMER class A LOT of work, but if you stay on track with your given calendar you will be good. If you can work ahead of schedule, highly recommend, very easy to fall behind. If struggling in any area, professor will have times to meet with you.

Great math teacher! Took the online course & it is a lot of work so it is good to stay ahead.. Exams are almost exactly like the practice ones. Lets you use calculator and note card on exams! Very nice and pretty. Gives extra credit if you post on the discussion board, and on tests! Highly recommend taking her. She is very helpful if you need it.

Very nice professor. Very understanding as well. If you ever need help, do not hesitate to ask her. I fell behind because of personal issues and she was very understanding and gave me an extension to finish my hw for that week. Make sure to not procrastinate if taking online and you will do fine.

I always thought I was horrible at math, Mrs. Bishop showed me otherwise. She is always there to help, no question is a dumb question. She cares about her students and want us all to succeed. She offers a bonus 5 point question on tests which can greatly help. Take her she makes math easy.

If you need to take math and pass this is the teacher you want. By far the best math teacher I've had at mpc. Homework is all online and exams are basically the study practice questions. Very understanding, nice and a wonderful teacher. Do yourself a favor and take her!!!!!

Absolutely the best teacher/professor I have ever had. In high school I failed precalculus and went into this semester with low expectations for myself. She taught me that I am not actually bad at math. She is kind, caring, takes time out of her own to stay after class and help. Does excellent explanations very quickly, and makes an 8AM class fun.

This woman is amazing. I keep failing math, so I took it over the summer in hopes that I could pass. She checks in, makes everything accessible, and best part? One of her exam times for most of the exams wasn't used for the final, which didn't work, so she's having me take it with her husband on Saturday! (Student at another school)

This was my first course taken online and boy am I grateful she was the instructor. She responds within minutes of any questions, and goes into such great length to explain. You can tell she has great passion to see her students achieve. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

Mrs Bishop makes math so easy!! The online homework assignments makes it easy to understand whats going on. Does assign quite a lot of homework due Sunday nights but its not hard at all; just time consuming. Will definitely take her class again if I have to.

Being my first class on campus, I loved her! super good at explaining and patient. Easy homework and not big loads. I like the Pearson she uses as well because you can learn at your own pace. Tests are simple just to test the skills. No hard numbers.

She's an easy going teacher, I think she understood that I understood the material well enough so she didn't bother me if I wasn't paying attention or sleeping in class. I started skipping class half way through the semester because I didn't want to be disrespectful and sleep in her class. Very easy has extra credit for those who show up.

I had Professor Bishop for 263 and Precalculus and she is by far the best instructor Ive ever had. She explains things clearly and her tests are formatted exactly like the guided reviews. She is always available for extra help and basically the nicest lady youll ever meet. If you apply yourself in her class, shell go out of her way to help you

As a person who wasn't confident about math, she was really able to explain it to me and I did very well in her class. A downside for other people might be that the homework is done online but most pre-cal class are doing it now. She was always there for office hours and allowed you to ask questions during the lessons.

I loved her class. It was an online class, but the way the homework and quizzes were it was excellent, I wish she thought my next math class online as well, but she doesn't have it. Ms. Bishop is a great teacher. I've had difficulties with Math my whole life, and exams stress me out. She does reviews the day before the exam which really helps you pass. She is sweet and understanding.

She made my first online course and my first MPC course a great experience!

One of the best online classes I have taken! All though there is no weekly zoom calls we are required to attend, she has 2 pre recorded ones every week. There is good prep for the tests and she will any questions. It is encouraged to ask each other questions and help others and we get extra credit for it, great class!

Her class is well structured. We did not use the textbook but it was provided online through the homework system she used. You have to purchase an access code but its well worth the money considering you actually use it. Her tests come with excellent feedback and you get points for trying! Would absolutely recommend her shes an awesome teacher!

I took Bishop's math 263 online course during Spring, it was pretty straightforward and an easy pass if you do the work and truly understand it. The only thing I did not like about the class was that the tests were not multiple choice and you have to show your work in order to get credit. Tests were also proctored through Proctorio.

Shes very good with helping you understand any and all questions that you may have, and is very understanding of your schedule and technology issues. And does give heads up of things that you will need to know for future parts of this class, and also other classes that she teaches.

Professor Bishop is a good teacher and a very nice person. She will help you any way she can. For the class I took, precalculus, the material itself isn't too hard, but there is just a lot of stuff to go over and it can be overwhelming at times. If you feel like you didn't understand anything in class, she has all lectures posted online.

The best math teacher I have EVER had! Elizabeth explains everything step by step! I am horrible at math but she made me really want to learn! She really cares. Take advantage of the math lab and if you forget info like me, use the notes she provides to the class. They really helped. She's very sweet and I cannot express how good she is!

The professor was very helpful and insightful. The only issue I had was that about half of the exams questions were questions that we barely practiced, which ended up getting me very bad grades on the exams.

Prof. Bishop was amazing! LOTS of homework but it pays off. I am awful at math and was always last to leave for the exams, but she really helped get the material through my head. Very fast paced but she goes over many examples crucial for the hw and exams. The hw and examples are pulled from the textbook so you know what to expect on exams. Love!

Mrs. Bishop was amazing! I was volunteering at a hospital with a very strict schedule during the same time as the Monday exams but she was very considerate of my situation and flexible. Since it was an online course and I wasn't able to go to the tutoring at the Math center, I emailed her many questions and she replied quickly and gave great help.
