Simply one of the brightest individuals at Troy State University. She is a hard teacher, but she will educate her students if they will let her.

She is ok not very clear, needs to not me SO monotone! She knows her stuff!

You will learn some about history in her class however you are required to do various reports in wich you will never get over a 70 on and more often a 0.Her definition of plagerism is a bit far fetched and she will penalize you every time with a zero. Her main teaching is plagerism history is second.
Hard, hard teacher. Way too much information is expected to be known for her tests. Her test are killer and discouraging.
She is a very hard teacher. She is not open to any other students' view of history. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS IF POSSIBLE!!!

RUN Do Not Under any circumstance take this class
Had her for a summer mini-session, so it was probably tougher. She required quite a bit of outside reading, and made us buy a book that really didn't teach anything just because she helped author the book.
I had this teacher my very first semester in college. BIG MISTAKE!!! She is extremely hard, however if you are a history buff, you should be able to pull off an A
She's a really cold-hearted person. I had a medical problem one semester, and I let her know about it. She didn't care at all. She called me out on it in the middle of class in front of everyone a few weeks later. She's the most rude professor I've ever had. Take her class if you like to be treated like crap.
way too hard, we shouldn't be expected to remember this much unless we are history majors! if you need to know who to take for us history, take dennis that was the first A I've ever made in history!
Pretty much the hardest class I've ever taken, too much information between tests
I had Dr. Blum my first semester, and on my first assignment I got a 0/P - 0 for plagiarism. She said I copied my twin's paper - we didn't work together, we just think alike! Plus, she went off on some guy one day for some unknown reason. I dropped shortly after. Don't do it!
bia bia
The assignments and test were so hard that I failed this class. My advice is to not take this teacher for ENTRY level history.
This woman is a cruel heartless ****. I hope that someday she knows what it feels like to do your very best and be made to feel like it is crap. I have a 3.6 GPA and this class was the only C I have made the whole time I have been in college and I am a Junior. She doesn't care about her students at all.
This class was really hard and i thought that she graded unfairly. She should not be taken lightly. ONLY TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU ARE REALLY READY TO WORK!!!!!

Challenging...
Mrs. Blum's class was a challenge. Be committed 100% when if you take it.
This class is challenging, but if you put in the work, you can come out with an A or B. Definetly is challenging though.
the best teacher i ever had
Horrible!!
Incredibly difficult teacher with even more so difficult tests. Tests compose writing an essay and taking a test all in 50 mins. RUN!!!!!!!!
a straight forward teacher with a smart mouth. Be prepared to get treated like you still in high school.
She's brilliant and knows her stuff very well, I'll give her that.Tests are tough, but just take good notes and you should be fine.Pay special attention to identification terms used in class. She's not very approachable, however, and acts annoyed if you go to her for help.Just show up, take good notes, study hard, and you should come out with an A.
I liked her. Her class is a challenge, but if you take good notes you won't have any problems. She is pretty interesting and she gives good lectures.
Great teacher but
Teacher is not helpful, attitude can be viewed as rude, rarely uses textbook and focuses more on outside reading, does not interact with students as much as she should, treats students more like high school students rather than adults in college, one feels like he is in an English course rather than a history course... would not take her again.
Doesn't grade fairly. Doesn't help the student but talks down to the student. Makes one doubt his or her own capabilities. Student will never meet her expectations. You will work hard for nothing even if you've always been a straight A student. This was a waste of my time and money. Don't take my word for it. Read everyone else's comments.
I took U.S. History to 1877 with her. The tests are nearly impossible. She covers so much info during the class, so its impossible to keep up. I made an A, but i've also taken us history several times, and didnt even have to be in this class. There are easier professors at troy.
Hard, doesnt like student athletes!!! good luck, avoid her!!!
I had Dr. Blum for two classes. She was easily the hardest teacher I had, but I also learned the most from her. I was able to breeze through papers in my other history classed because of what I learned in her class. If you take her class be prepared to work. Her class is not an easy A, but it's definitely a rewarding one.

If you are good at history, I recommend her. You will learn a lot in this class. If you suck at history, stay away.
Take History Senior Seminar with anyone else you possibly can, any other time you possibly can. Anyone is better than taking her. If you can graduate without taking Blum, then do it. You will be much better off that way. Don't dismiss me as a bad student, seriously, she will completely mess your entire college career up, and not even care about it.
Very smart, great teacher, ignore the other comments, if you are lazy do not take her. It is that simple.
Blum is very smart in her area no doubt. Her class is extremely hard and she is not a fair teacher at all. She expects you to be able to read her mind on assignments. Aslo she treats her students like they are in high school not college. Only take if your life revolves around school and you are prepared to be treated like you are 15.
Professor Blum requires a lot of work and research but she makes the class very interesting and fun. It's an easy class if you are willing to learn and work for a good grade. She is extremely helpful and very clear about what she expects from you each week. I would strongly recommend this professor to anyone that needs to take U.S. History.
Dr. Blum demands hard work, and there is no doubt about that, but she does igve you plenty of time to do the big assignments and offers help along the way. As long as you don't leave your paper off until the last minute and you let her review it you will be fine as long as you make the suggested changes.
Wow.... unless you are going for a history Ph.D. and already have an English degree and have 20 hrs a week to waste on history, save yourself!! Extremely difficult and expects this to be your only class. I'm a business major and only need to fill the square. Should have checked this site before paying to take this crazy instructor!
HAVE TO TAKE NOTES!
She expects alot out of her students. her tests are difficult and she assigns alot of group work.
She is not very helpful. All her tests are all essays. And she is not very lenant on absences or grandes. Hard and time consuming extra Credit
Had her for honors history. Expect to do alot of work and write a paper every couple of weeks. Her tests always. She's pretty tough, but I learned alot and still came out with an A.
Entry level history class, but hardest class I have taken. Extra credit can almost be called worthless. She treats students like little kids--calling them out when leaving--. Absences are a no-no in this class. Basically impossible to get above a C in this class...takes TONS of dedication and work...it's ridiculous for a basic history class.
Don't expect anything less than a D in this class. You would have to have a degree in History to get a C. Holds a grudge if you point out any of her mistakes on quizzes or exams, and good luck getting your points back. "Ill fix it next time."
Very knowledgeable about the subject. I worked almost full time while taking her course and didn't do so well on tests. She allowed 11 absences. If you value your grade, don't miss even once! Not very helpful on test prep. Also assigns group projects that are impossible to get an "A" on. Great teacher if you're a history major.
This is a very challenging and rewarding class. Professor Blum expects a lot from her students. If you have a busy schedule, she wouldn't be the ideal instructor, as she requires a very heavy workload. I respect her teaching style because she is very consistent. The class can be like watching the news, the material is depressing in delivery.
Great teacher, I have had her for everything possible. She will push you to your limits, but is there to help you and with the answers you need. She is a great teacher.
A fairly decent teacher, very open to discussions and questions, excellent at telling a story, as a history teacher should be.
Before taking this class I actually enjoyed history. Now I regret taking this class more than anything in the world.
if you want to pass history, do NOT take this teacher!! she seems great at the beginning of the semester but, trust me, it all turns out into a major disappointment. it is IMPOSSIBLE to make a 100 on group sessions, and when her quizzes on blackboard mess up, she never cares. she's very strict and her tests are BRUTAL. avoidense is the best choice.
Don't buy the book; use the internet for the online quizzes instead. You get 2 days off in every 3 week period. You are graded on class participation a lot and you are expected to be able to connect everything together for the tests, so if you are introverted or want to standard fact history test where you memorize facts, do NOT take this prof.
Dr. Blum is a very good teacher but her class is super hard. All of her test are short answer and eassy. Had a VERY hard time with connecting most the chapters. Be prepared to work hard and study hard for her test!!! They are SO hard!
Treats you like you are in high school, but expects you to produce graduate school level work to earn a DECENT grade. WILL NEVER EVER take another class of hers!
Avoid her like the plague! I am a pretty good student and had to drop because she is so hard! She doesn't give tests based on history facts; her tests are "theme based" and tying in movies, discussions topics etc. You aren't given ample time to take her tests either-you are given all of the class but the tests are so long it's impossible to finish.
Doesn't like cellphones or talking in class. Attendance is mandatory. Watch a lot of movies, have group days, not a class where you remember lots of dates. She makes you think outside of the box. Midterms and Finals are hard.
Great teacher! I didn't have to buy the book because she has copies for free in the library. All you have to do is put in effort to pass her class. I took her for HIS 1111 and got a B. I'm taking her HIS 1112 class to see if I can get an A. She is also very organized! If you're lazy, don't sign up for her class.
She is not very helpful, once there are problems that occur. She does not accept at face value if a student cannot access certain items. She is very unsympathetic, inflexible for a challenging class.
Dude, I took this class and we had to write out the Declaration of Independence word for word on the final. She doesn't take excuses for classes missed and she has a quite bitter attitude when u talk to her in her office. I will never take her again.
She was very helpful, if I had a problem with something online, she was glad to help. If she were to miss a class, she would send an email a week prior to absence. She had a midterm and final exam study session. All of the information given was very helpful, she stayed to the point and made the class one you wanted to go to.
Extremely condescending and unhelpful. She puts so much attention and focus on the structure of the class that the material of the class becomes secondary. There is no commitment to learning the subject, just following her exhaustive rules. ALL of her teachings are about her rules. There is no check on learning the subject. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!
She is a really good teacher. The way she teaches is super easy to follow. But you will have to study.
She is nice but she has temper tantrums sometimes. She is a good teacher but she grades really hard.
I took her my freshman year and she is pretty tough. She teaches freshmen students as if they were taking senior seminar. If you want to build your gpa up your freshman year, steer clear of her.
She is a tough teacher. You don't necessarily need to know facts, she teaches thematically. I had an A in her class, but I had worked really hard to get it. She is an excellent teacher but you must have a work ethic. AND SHOW UP ON TIME!
Make sure you participate in group discussions by not doing so drop my grade down two letter grades. but read your material pay attention take notes and attend class every class meeting.
Do not take her. She is evil! She is very hard. DO NOT TAKE HER
DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!!!!!!! I STUDIED FOR DAYS FOR HER MIDTERM AND FINAL AND IT DIDNT HELP AT ALL!! She asks trick questions for everything and does not care if you are struggling. Hardest professor i have had and for what was supposed to be a basic history course. Has groupwork for each unit that is very hard to do well on. BOTTOM LINE DO NOT TAKE!
I absolutely did not like this class at all.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU ARE A FRESHMAN. I took this class my very first semester and it was a huge mistake. The transition from high school class to her class was way too much. The midterm and final is impossible to do well on. I got a tutor for this class and also visited her office several times for help but it was never enough.
awful and so hard!
She loves the sound of her own voice. It is a noise which echo in my nightmares. This is one of those classes where you should never share your own opinion. Turns out we share differing political ideals and my grade suffered. She probes your views early on with a trick discussion. By the time I figured out what was going on it was too late.
Very vague in giving directions. She tells students how they're wrong all the time, but rarely how to do it right instead. I had a 4.0 prior to her class and I am NOT lazy. I am very committed and work hard, but it is near impossible to figure out what she wants until afterwards. Never again!
Quite possibly the worst professor I've had. I've had As here at Troy. "Scout" Blum put a stop to that. When asked for help, she said to give her drafts. I did, but her comments were vague and unhelpful. She doesn't help students learn from mistakes. She expects them to grasp everything from the start. Unhelpful and unapproachable. Terrible.
Without a doubt, the wost professor I've had. Very unclear guidance. She gives quizzes and does not reveal answers to missed questions. However, for the final she says use the quizzes to study. DO NOT TAKE ANY COURSE WITH SCOUT!!
Teacher was okay... I warn you, be on time! She will shut the doors and if you walk in she will call you out and say come back next week. Class was kind of easy but the tests have nothing to do with the notes. She keeps me interesting and it is evident she loves teaching history. She seems strict but I liked her. She was alright.
The group discussion was mandatory and I never received more than a 68 F on them. You have to make yourself known to Mrs. Blum, or you will not do well. The book is a necessity! Also, pay attention to all the fine details. EVERYTHING she says matters.
I took this class online; I liked it! Do your discussion boards at the beginning of the week, she'll grade you better. The lectures are recorded, so that is kind of boring, but I really enjoyed the way she taught. I would take her again. You can use your books and notes on the final.
By far the most one-sided class I've ever endured. What's more important to her than teaching actual events is shoving her own distorted liberal spin on history down everyone's throat. You can forget all about the classroom as a place for sharing ideas and learning different viewpoints and instead, sit back while she bashes republican presidents.
Lectures are boring since they are recorded. Weekly exams which cover nothing from the notes or lectures. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE BOOK!!!!!!!!!!
Group class meetings are mandatory and almost impossible to pass. You can study for the midterm and final all you want but expect nothing more than a C at best.
She has no qualms about shaming a student in front of the class and does not like being questioned. She tends to schedule several lectures outside of class that are not mandatory in attendance but are essential to passing which are usually scheduled the day of or day before in the late afternoon. Beware the role-playing game.
Dr. Blum is not a good professor. She tries to make the class seem like it's going to be fun but, in all honesty she is confusing, rude, and her lectures show her viewpoint and she doesn't like to others viewpoints, and on the exam she doesn't ask many questions based on the lecture most of her questions from group work. I would not take her again.
Dr. Blum is an awesome teacher, and she is very passionate about history. However, she has group work days for every section and it is very tough to get over a D. The group work counts for a large percentage of your grade. I would say that was the hardest part of her class. That stopped me from receiving an A. she is also a very tough grader.
She seems like she is miserable with her job and takes it out on the students. She is not willing to hear you out for any help.
Dr. Blum is a good teacher, but you have to take very good notes and study a lot. Her class is not easy by any means, but if you don't mind working hard to get a good grade, you'll be fine. Hardest part of this class was the midterm and final. Also, make sure to read before class if she asks, because she expects participation and will call you out.
Taking this class, you will learn a lot. However, Dr. Blum is a very tough grader. I enjoyed the class, put in more effort than i ever have, and i will still receive a B. The group work sessions will kill your grade. This is a very fun and interesting class, but if your GPA can't handle a possible C, DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS.
She's an interesting teacher, but she can come off as intimidating. There were two projects that were due in her class, and there were mini assignments within those assignments that were due almost every week, and sometimes two in one week. I thought the final was easy, but I totally bombed it. She does not believe in rounding grades up.
I'll start with the good points: she cares about the subject matter and gives solid in-depth feedback on papers. That said, she is extremely ideologically biased in discussions (but not in grading, to be fair), assigns overwhelming volumes of reading material, and expects far too much written work. The excessive workload is utterly crippling.
I just dropped an online class with her. Hardest class ever with hours and hours of reading. Way too much work! The quizzes have essays that must be answered in paragraphs, and you have 20 minutes to finish. Weekly discussion posts feel more like a research paper, and responses to others require outside research with references. Don't do it.
She is very knowledgable about the content; however, she is super strict on grading. She does not care about your GPA or personal feelings. She will fail you in a heartbeat. Do not take this class if you can't afford a low grade. Be prepared every day and participate, especially in the role playing game. She also requires out of class work.
Don't believe the bad reviews. She has expectations that you will do your work and take it seriously, and so I would not recommend her to lazy students. If she were male, she'd be called "tough but fair." Her classes are interesting. She cares about her students' success. She has high standards, but lives up to those standards herself.
I signed up for this class to learn history... not public speaking. I am a shy person and felt ambushed when I realized how badly these speaking assignments hurt my grade. I am not a bad student... I just do not feel comfortable talking in class.
Super liberal and does not care about students at all. I received a 60 on a paper because i pointed out the sources we were "allowed" to use were all liberal news sources.
This should be a writing course because no matter how well my paper was presented and on topic, she found ways to take away points. Gave me 0 on assignments way before due and sent reminders constantly before assignments were due. Not very specific in grading.
Dr. Blum is horrendous; she does very little to explain what you messed up. Her grading is severely skewed. It appears she grades purely on an emotional level rather than educational. If you make any of your political views public, she will destroy your grade if it does not match hers. Do not take her class if you value your GPA.
This woman should never be allowed near a school let alone teach at one. I warn everyone not to take her classes
I have no idea how this women has been a professor for so long. Dr. Blum is a harsh grader and doesn't give much feedback on how to improve your essays. During her lectures she always adds her liberal bias into everything she says. History has always been one of my favorite subjects, but Dr. Blum found a way to ruin it.
Took her online and she gave the most rediculous amount of work. Everything was graded so harshly with out any reason why. She told me I should go to the writing center because I obviously sucked at writing... when my English teacher was telling me I was a phenomenal writer. She is harsh and horrible.
If you value your GPA, don't take this professor for ANYTHING! Had her for History Through Games and it was not worth it. Over half the class was failing the entire semester despite us working on every assignment. Got picky when we worked together. Went to her for help and nothing came of it. In the end, she had to GIVE us points to pass!
very smart professor. and has very high standards. as long as you listen to her, pay attention and do all the work, you should be fine.
Wow. Just wow. Quite possibly one of the worst classes and teachers I have ever had. Notes are very straightforward and monotonous, but the tests are literally impossible to do well on. Studying the notes and textbook will get you an absolute maximum of a low C. If you like your GPA, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Good luck. (History 1111)
She likes to hear herself talk obviously. She way overloads with assignments. It is just about impossible to finish her tests and quizzes in the allotted time. She should not be an online teacher. She sets you up to fail .
She expresses no understanding or concern towards students understanding the material. In addition she treats the class as if it were a literary composition course rather than history. Also the fact that shes maintaining a 2.6/5 approval rating out of over a hundred individuals speaks for itself.
WORST TEACHER I HAD AT TROY! Her class was the lowest grade I ever got at Troy. If you do not have the same viewpoints as her, you are def going to fail! She grades soooo hard!!
She was god awful and harsh on grading work.
Just a odd class
lots and lots of readings. I basically taught myself this class because she only talks about the documents that you are supposed to read. Also, participation is half of your grade. If you do not raise your hand and talk then you can forget about getting a good grade.. Felt like I was in middle school again.
She told the class the lecture videos were more important than the readings but only asked about the readings in class. When few students could answer the readings questions in class she walked out several times not even 10 minutes into class. To get credit for going to class you have to talk or you get a zero for showing up.
Her class consisted on multiple lectures and readings a week. She is an EXTREMELY tough grader on all assignments and your grade is based off on how many details you can remember. No one in my class made above a 50 on the final and only reopened the midterm later that day, which she would not reschedule another time for me since I had to work.
Her lectures were interesting, but the exams were ridiculous. She graded very hard, and almost everyone failed the midterm.
She is a very very tough grader and almost gives off vibes of being sexist against the guys in the class.
I've received A's in every History class I've taken, minus this one--it is not set up for you to succeed. If you had no life (i.e. no other classes, no job, etc.) there might be a chance to pass. The amount of work is ridiculous. I'm not opposed to hard work, but this was impossible. Exams are essay heavy with no way to answer all within time limit
DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!! I have no clue how she grades her tests and other things but she is not fair AT ALL! If you do not have the same views as her you will fail!! Her final had stuff on it that we NEVER went over in class!! Not helpful, and if you ask for help she talks to you like youre dumb or comes back with a smart remark! Awful!
Dr. Blum is a tough teacher. Her curriculum seems easy, but she only allows you to use HER lectures (pre-recorded videos) in her quizzes. If you use outside sources like your school book, you get a 0. Not only that you put the information that she gave you in the lecture in the quiz as an answer then she gives you partial credit.
If you don't actively participate in class, your grade will suffer for it. She grades participation very heavily. She also teaches through long, recorded lecture videos that you have to take heavy notes on. The good part is that she gives a detailed study guide for the lecture videos so you know exactly what kind of notes to take.
Rate 0. I would not recommend this professor to anyone. This has by far been THE WORST history class that I have had. It seems more like I am taking an English class. She grades VERY TOUGH, you can answer the question correctly but if you don't agree with her/ your spelling is off she will fail you. Wish I would have read here before signing up.
The class is based on group work, attendance, and tests. You won't get a 100 on group work no matter how many questions you answer, only 95. Tests are difficult and writing heavy. You gotta work to pass.
Tests, group work, and attendance. She'll drop your lowest group work grade, but you're on your own for tests. She'll work with you and is accessible, just a very hard grader.
She is not a good teacher. I recommend you take another instructor.
I'm telling you this was one of if not the worst college course that I've ever taken. Just go ahead and register and see for yourself. SMH
This teacher is absolutely terrible. She is a super hard grader. If you dont use information she provided then your wrong and your going to get a zero. She has weekly writing assignments that are impossible to do well on because she literally looks for error instead of if we answered the questions. And she makes you calculate your own grade.
I wish I could give her zero stars but thats not possible. Her grading style literally does not make sense. Its like she closes her eyes and grades your paper than gaslights you when you ask for help. Please never take this professor !!!!!!!!!!!
Wish I would’ve came here first… I was in my room depressed and stressing over all of work just to get a F. She make you calculate your own grade instead of making it available for you. Very rude but make it know that she’s being rude. 0/100000 HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND.. Please don’t put yourself through I went through!!!
This teacher is awful. If you like history and know anything about it don't waste your time or money with this woman. She teaches from lectures that contain more opinion than fact. Her writing assignments make zero sense and she told me I couldn't write well, which is weird because I get A's on essays in every other class.
This is an English class graded on how well you can type. If you are taking online classes because you have a busy schedule( work, and kids) go ahead and skip this class. The exams are essay heavy and impossible to finish. This is a cartoonish example of a woke college class.
She only does lecture and does not post google slide or have notes in slides.
Writing assignments are almost impossible to get a good grade on even when you take into account the "corrections". The writing is based on articles that are opinion heavy which, is already a red flag for a college history class. Calculate own grades in an online class.
Worst teacher ever taken! if you take her class you will be stressed to the maximum level. Her lectures make no sense and she rambles and then expects you to know every detail about what she says and also be able to write every single detail in a small amount of time for her exams. Her exams and quizzes are nearly impossible to pass. good luck
Grading is very harsh, be prepared to be overwhelmed with reading and tough exams with multiple essay questions. Would avoid this teacher if possible.
This teacher is unprofessional. She fails to accept accountability as an educator to provide detailed feedback when grading. She reuses her lectures from years ago that contain minimal information required to fill out the notes and study guide. She should never have gotten into education and should opt for a more suited job as a tax collector.
Professor is extremely difficult grader. Expect to take 20+ pages of notes a week. Professor refuses to release overall grades, even when Canvas automates this. Professor fails students, and reports them for cheating, if they use any information they gleaned through a source other than her or her text book. Professor refuses to ever give a 100.
An unrealistic amount of work if you have a job. Expect at least 20 hours of work a week. Gives a lot of busy work that focuses more on your writing skills than on history. Very strict on essay answers on quizzes and tests. Ridiculously limited time to take quizzes and Exams.
DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. This has been the absolute worst professor I have ever had. At first she seems easy because she lets you use notes no quizzes and test. Don't be fooled by this. She grades SO harshly. Nothing was good enough for her and she would never tell you specifically what she wanted. I bet it is impossible to get an A in the class.
NOT AN EASY ONLINE CLASS! Should have read the reviews before taking this her. Unreasonable time limit for everything and I struggled to complete all of the tests and quizzes before running out of time. She grades very harshly and it is very nitpicking with papers. You definitely have to write your paper to align with her views and opinions.
Do not take this professor if you are taking any other classes, have a job, have a family, or hobbies. I did learn the History material, but she gives too many assignments to ever be able to finish everything. Her tests set you up to make a bad grade by having many more questions than you have time to complete them. Definitely a woke professor.
DO NOT TAKE NO MATTER WHAT. Never seen a professor like this lady! Lectures are sooo long and unnecessary. Nothing is ever good enough for her and something will always be wrong no matter what. Quizzes and exams are timed and it is not enough time for the amount of questions. She loves to hear herself talk. AGAIN DO NOT TAKE THIS LADY EVER!!!!
If I had to take this teacher again to get my degree I just wouldn't graduate. The WORST TEACHER I have ever had in my adult life. Spends her entire time scrutinizing every paper and verbage you use instead of seeing if you have learned the material. I wish I would have checked her rating before class. NOTHING IS EVER GOOD ENOUGH. DO NOT TAKE HER!
Cannot stress how much you need to avoid this teacher and class. Grades so harshly then when you ask for help, talks to you like you are an ant under her shoe. Then she just says it is healthy criticism. Take it from someone with self worth issues, she will only make them worse with never ending critics on how your work is not good enough.
She is worst
Take this class at your own risk - the professor's grading is extremely harsh and unpredictable. Avoid if you have a busy schedule, as the workload is unreasonable. Unstuck ai could help with study prep, but this professor seems unapproachable.
What can I say about her that hasn't been said? She's not that approachable it genuinely feels like she doesn't care. I had classmates complain about her too. There is little room for error. Her feedback isn't any good even comes off passive aggressive. I love history so much but she made it unenjoyable. Avoid taking her if you can trust me.
I had Dr. Blum for one week before dropping. She counts ANY "outside knowledge" as cheating and will academically suspend you for it. "Outside knowledge" includes the optional reading that SHE posted because it was "optional," as well as any previous things learned from other classes you may have taken before.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I had this lady and my paper was expected to be a small paperback book “improving” a paper from a previous class toward a topic she approved of. In my case it was the wonders of socialism. I spent the first half of the term repeated the first week's assignment over and over again just to be penalized for being behind. #nosleep
I don't see how she is an employee of Troy University. All she does is rave about other countries' form of government and then complain about America's. The amount of time she will try to bait you into a political discussion is often. She will also make you do preliminary assignments to make you feel stupid and it gives her a false sense of power.
Wouldn't recommend any of her classes. Overly political
Will make you feel less than and she is very political and doesn't like America
