Not very impressed, she ALWAYS lectures with powerpoint straight out of the book. Very long open-book exams.

difficult exams where 1 person in the class gets above 90%, but she doesn't curve
shes ok
Should have a better attitude towards her students
Good class, she was very nice & very understanding about making up tests & whatnot. Open Book tests, no real homework, lots of in-class discussion.
Very nice woman. Hard tests but they are open book so...
SHE'S THE SEXXXXXXXPERT!!!!!
Easy class!! Open book tests!!!
She's great. Really knows what she's talking about. Fair but firm. Open book tests. All in all a good class
Dr Calamidas is a wonderful professor. She makes all public health classes fun and worth going to. I learn soo many things from her
Many people did not like her. Open book tests are very hard. Comes 15 min late to class on test days and takes 10 min to handout test. Not enough time to finish them and she doesn't care. Adverage test grade for each test is 75. Overhead notes and doesn't explain them. Can't keep up with notes.
Not a very good teacher. Course is too rushed, she tries to cover to much info in 1 period.Lots of pointless convos. Not very simpathetic to students and kind of a cold personality. Expected the course to be excellent but it and the professor was terrible.
I thought the open book exams were easy as anything. The questions were directly out of the book. The only bad thing was she never goes over your test and you never get it back. How are we supposed to know what we got wrong?
I heard she only sucks in this class, and that in all her major classes everyone likes her. that's ashame because i think a sexuality class should be fun and informative.
youll get a b on all the tests even though they are open book. interesting class discussions.
had her online, but her assignments were easy, and she gives open book tests!
I was a B student but had to struggle to get a D! Better do well on those tests! Not many grades in the class/
Thourough on subject matter learned alot
Thought it was going to be a pretty easy class since it is only an intro but it was far from that. Test are open book which is good but they are still hard. Struggled a little with this class. However she is a very nice woman and definitely knows her material.
She's a really good teacher, willing to help and explain. Her notes are easy and if you go into her class knowing they're tests you have to study for and can't jus breeze by with just her notes, you'll do great.
VERY DIFFICULT TEST BORING CLASS AND YOUR ONLY GRADED ON TEST NO PAPERS OR EXTRA CREDIT DON'T TAKE HER
very nice teacher!
the tests are impossible..she takes a single sentence out of the book, then takes one word out, and you have to find that sentence to know the answer. theres not enough time in the class to do that for every question. dont take this class if you dont have to
she is a nice lady, but she tests you on what she knows rather then what she taught. the tests are open book but impossible!! there is never enough time to finish them because they are so extremely hard!!!!!! dont take this class unless yoabsolutely have to, or unless you dont mind getting bad grades!
Whatever you do dont take this prof! She gave me a my first C since I started college and it brung my GPA down significantly. Im not a slacker; i actually gave alot of effort in this class. Open book tests are impossible to pass! Her wording on the test is not clear cut either. I recommend taking another values course.
She is very thorough in what she teaches. But her tests are impossible. It's hard to get an A but easy to get a C. I worked hard and I got a C when I really wanted a B. Take her if u want to get a C if not, don't waste your time. If u value your GPA, don't take her. Thanks alot Liz!!!
If you need to take a values class, avoid this one at all costs. I missed one class the whole semester, and I still managed to only pull C's on the tests! I am a Dean's List student! I had to kill for the C that I got. I have never put so much effort into a G-course before!
she is horrible!!!!! nasty lady, her tests are killers...... she is horrible.... dont take her if you value ur gpa
This class is a must. Some think its a typical "health" class, well its not. She talks alittle fast but definitely keeps your attention. Tests are tricky but if you review the study guide that comes along with your test book, you'll do fine.
Drop it now
You will learn alot from her, but her grading system does not make sense.
very helpful, learned a lot, highly recommend her
This class was an online class. The only hard part was trying to figure out what was needed regarding websites that she wanted us to review and were tested on. Keeping up with the reading and the postings are huge. Also, the study guide is a waste. just go to the textbook publisher's website, bring up the student companion site for the book,
SHE IS crazy!! a nice lady but her open book tests are long and wordy questions that take a long time to complete. There is really no homework or papers at all so your grade is basically based on attendance and those HARD tests! i worked hard to do good and like almost everyone else I know who has taken her only got a C.
I'm taking Perspectives on Sexuality and I read the book. Apparently ppl don't do that in college - if you read the book and highlight everything, youll b golden for the tests. She's not very personable, i guess that'd be the word. But she tries to help and communicate as much as she can. Take it, the class is worth it definetly.
She is hard!! well... the tests are hard. they're all open book but they're sooo long with way toooo much info in one question. She is also not very understandable at all!! attendance is huge in this class. everyone including myself who took her class got either a C or lower with some exceptions but thats not very good LIZ!

Stopped going to class in Oct, still got an A. MUST read book & study. Exams are open book, but too long & difficult to look up every answer. Fun material (it's sex!), she's cool. Treated everyone like an adult. It was a fun class, from what I remember of when I actually went. I'd take her again.
Her test are Hard if you don't highlight in your book. they are open book but are too long to look up every question. I would def take her again. A Great topic (SEX) and man does she go into detail but hey you learn alot everyone can learn a thing or two about sex!
This lady is crazy...The tests you get to use your book but none of the questions are from there?? Prob the hardest class I took at stockton lol. The teacher is crazy and she runs the show the whole time.
Online course. Open book tests were difficult because of # of questions. Professor is ok, but don't take this course if you don't want to talk about your own personal health issues, or you views on health issues in society.
Women and Health: I took this class online over the summer. 2 exams (2hr time slot, 75 questions, open book); weekly discussion about health topics including your thoughts/feelings; 1 paper (5 pages).. Overall the class was very intesting and enjoyed it, just beware... Liz isn't the most approachable professor
PUBH 3102- If your a public health major (community education) you need to take this class. Liz is amazing and always there to help you. Once you get used to what she's looking for it's a piece of cake. There is a seminar you need to put together including a 30 page research paper but she holds your hand through it. Not a hard class at all!
Study. No curves
She is an awesome teacher!!! She is so nice and really knows what she is talking about. Her tests take a long time and have a lot of info on them but you are allowed to use the textbook. I loved this class! and wish I had more classes I could take with her.
PUBH 3102- Calamidas is amazing! if it wasn't for her i'd be lost and confused! she holds your hand through the 30 page research paper and it's a breeze! This really prepares you for future classes. She's very easy once you learn what she's looking for. Def. take this class!!Also her other classes are great too, she's just a great teacher!
Shes kinda nice....knows a lot of stuff about sex which is more creepy than anything....she give really techinical multiple choice tests which are open book but even that doesnt help. Put it this way, im a senior and she is the first to give me a C so i wouldn't take her...her classes are avoidable so do that...
Prof Calamidas is one of the best professors at Stockton. She is very passionate about Public health, and if you are in the Community health track you will have her for pretty much all your classes. I have learned a ton in the three classes i have taken with here, plus she is my preceptor. I strongly recommend taking her Pub health classes
THE WORST TEACHER THAT EVER TAUGHT ANY OF MY COLLEGE CLASSES. ONLINE CLASS OVER SUMMER AND SHE MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE. WOULDNT GIVE STUDY GUIDE OR LECTURES. TEST WERE OPINOINATED AND DIDNT EVEN HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS IN THE BOOK. DONT TAKE HER.
Don't know where that other person is coming from. had her for a couple classes online and in class. You have to work but she's fair and knows her stuff
Calamidas is an amazing professor. She knows her stuff and gets the point across clearly. Her tests are all open book, however you still need to attend class, pay attention, and study. My favorite professor at Stockton by far.
she is a very nice lady but her test r super hard u have to read the text book over n over n sometime u still do bad on test. she does let u use the book for exams even tho its not gonna help
Interesting class the text book is good. Took online class during the summer along with two other classes. She expects a great amount of participation online but the OL discussions can be interesting if you have the time. Her tastes are redic. Would love to se the anser key prior to taking them. If your looking for an easy class/grade go somewhere
Sneakiest test questions ever.
If you take her for an online course, drop immediately. Tests were impossible and most of the information was NOT covered in text. One of the worst professors I have had.
Do not take her for an online course! Make sure you keep up with the discussion board. You'll have to read ALL of them to get a good grade. That means checking it everyday OR catching up on all of them at the end of the week. The tests were tricky and taken at 7-9am ONLY! She was VERY tough on the paper. Just don't take her, period.
I think she is a great teacher, the only thing is that she isn't quite great at being personable. She tends to talk to her students like children. But overall she is an awesome professor. Open book multiple choice tests??? Omg who wouldn't want to take her?!
Class is extremely boring. She uses slides but talks so fast that you can't take notes and cant keep up with her. Notes are on blackboard but they are locked so you cant copy or print. Multiple choice tests, online, open book so it was really easy. Only real mandatory days is when she has a guest speaker and is playing a movie.
always willing to help, tests are open book open note so pay attention in class and get the slides from her. go to her if you have any questions. very caring.
Dr. Calamidas is a fantastic teacher but she does expect a lot of her students. If you are a public health major (comm. health ed track) she will prepare you for the real world and make you a better student. If you are not PUBH and are looking for an easy A, I'd look elsewhere.
Attendance not mandatory. goes to fast to copy power point notes but she posts them afterwards on black board. Multiple choice tests. Allows you to use a cheat sheet and your textbook. Test straight from book. Pretty good class.
Do not take!! Class is easy but the tests are basically impossible. Normally 60-70 multiple choice questions and open book but still very hard. Sweet lady and attendance is not mandatory. I went to every class and studied my book and notes for hours to prepare to exams and got a C-
great online elective. Required online postings but readings are easy and tests are right from the book and videos. One reflection paper
Great class, open book tests, teacher willing to help. Posts notes. Go to class and you are gold
Dr. Calamidas is an expert in the field of Public Health and is head of the department, so if you're a pubh major you should take her. Her class isn't mandatory and all of her tests are open book/open notes which is awesome. Would reccomend her class, just don't text or walk in late constantly.
took her for an online class and had her for PUBH1200. She's head of the pubh department and knows her stuff. Her online class wasn't hard, just a few discussions per module and 4 exams.
Professor Calamidas is nice and she definitely knows her stuff, I learned a lot in this class. Attendance isn't mandatory. There are 4 open book multiple choice tests but DON'T TAKE THEM LIGHTLY! These tests are tough make sure you study the book, power points, and videos she posts on blackboard. Study good and pay attention and you should be fine.
STAY AWAY! You would think a class about sex would be interesting, NO. It is impossible. The tests are OPEN NOTES and I would still fail them after I found every answer in the book. Absolutely absurd. She isn't very pleasant either.
Good intro class to take online. Well organized and easy to follow.
Took this class because it counts for 2 requirements and it was open book. I was surprised at how hard this class was despite having the book in front of you while taking the tests. I went to class every day and read the book before the exams and ended with a B+. Alright class if you put in the effort. Don't expect an easy A, you will be sorry.
I am writing this review as a former student that uses her lectures and books on a daily basis. Yes she is hard and yes she is sometimes not as friendly but if you are a public health major she gives you her best and nothing less. If you are not a PUBH major she is still interesting
This class was not an easy A. I was told it would be more like a psychology class and that is the furthest thing from the truth. She tells you "anything is fair game" in terms of studying for the test. The tests are very hard and she does not guide you at all as to what will be on them. Avoid this class if you can. It sucks
DO not take this course online! Yes, it is easy information, but the tests were very hard even though they are open book. First, some of the questions weren't covered in the text. Second, make sure you go through graded tests because things ALWAYS get marked wrong when they are absolutely correct! WE CANT RELY ON TECHNOLOGY FOR EVERYTHING!!
This online class was super easy! All you have to do is complete 4 modules which include discussions (pretty much easy opinion based questions), 4 multiple choice open-book exams, and a paper. Easy A, I took it as my ASD and I'm so glad I did!!
Lisa Calamidas is one of the best professors I have ever had at Stockton. She is so knowledgeable and shares so many insightful tips with her students to help them reach their full potential. Her lectures can seem a bit dry at times but she really does teach you things you will need to know in the career world. Overall, she is a great professor.
Perspectives of sexuality is not an easy class! Open book test and all, she makes you work for your grade. I didn't mind, she's a great teacher; had her for two classes this semester.
I took Perspectives on Sexuality and she is an amazing and truly knowledgeable person. I wish this class was mandatory for every human being to ever live, because the information you learn is priceless. Open book tests, so I found them pretty easy. Many people didn't show up to class but I feel bad for them because this class is worth the money.
In Perspectives on Sexuality Calamidas was a great professor. Her power points in class are super helpful and clear and she posts them online. For an exam she lets you use a cheat sheet and the textbook- but the book is essential and is more thorough than her notes are. No other work in the class though, so exam grades are important.
Perspectives on sexuality is a pretty easy class. Show up, take notes, and study a little for tests and you'll be good. Tests are open book and she allows one sheet of notes. The course material is pretty interesting, and you can tell she is very passionateknowledgable about her field. If you need a GSS I would definitely recommend!
Prof Calamidas was the worst prof I've ever had. She is not helpful, test questions are based upon her personal opinion of the best answer, when all are correct. Exams are open notebook and the majority of the class STILL gets a C or below. This was my lowest college grade, typically a straight A student. I will never take a class with her again.
Prof Calamidas was the worst prof I ever had. Test questions have multiple answers to them that can be correct. Exams are open book and she allows 1 sheet of notes and the majority still does poorly. This was the lowest grade that I have received in a class since I've been here and I'm usually a BB+ student.
Interesting class. Fairly easy curriculum. Online summer class, one test per week (60-70 questions), answers all in the book for the most part. Gives feedback on every discussion board post. Required a paper at the end of the semester which she tears apart (took points off for writing Stockton College, not "University", for example)
Perspectives on Sexuality was a super interesting class, but you gotta work for your grade. You're allowed one sheet of notes and an open book (you only have 3 exams, no other graded assignments) and the exams are still super tough. You gotta read the chapter bc flipping through it while taking the exam is rough. She's a good professor though.
She has been teaching this class for many years. She is a great teacher. One hundred students in the class, so she doesn't take attendance. GO TO CLASS. The tests are open book and still very tough. Pay attention to her lectures, not just the power points. Anything is open game on a test. Your grade depends on your four test grades.
This is the lowest grade I have gotten at stockton so far. For someone that is normally a great student, this class was pretty tough. The tests are open book, so she makes sure to put the most discrete questions on them from lecture and random websites and videos she puts in the powerpoints. I took notes, attended class, studied.
Perspectives on Sexuality was an amazing eye-opener class. She is very careful not to offend anyone and to keep class discussion private to make everyone comfortable. Content is very interesting and she brings up unique perspectives. Only 4 grades, all exams, for the entire class though which can really hurt your grade. Tests are open book
I love her. Her perspectives on sexuality class is amazing and eye opening as others on here have said. Any bad reviews are probably from students who didnt study or show up. Make sure to study like you wont have the book in front of you (even though you will). I feel this class should be mandatory with the amount of useful knowledge I gained here.
Great online course, she assigns work and it's due before the exam giving you about 3-4 weeks to work on them. There are only 4 module assignments which are questions that you have to answer on the discussion boards and reply to classmates responses as well and 4 exams. Tests can be tough. But overall and easy course with not a lot of work!
Seems like it would be a really easy class because tests are open book but they are very difficult asking very specific questions about the millions of videos and articles she shows. Material is pretty interesting though so going to class wasn't terrible. She should definitely have other opportunities for you to raise your grade though
I am a straight A student, and I would have gotten a 4.0 this semester if I had chosen not to take this class. At first, it seem like the class will be easy. You are only graded on 4 open book tests, all of which are extremely confusing and purposefully tricky. I would be surprised if there were more than 5 ppl in the class who got an A.
Their are 4 modules , 4 test, and one paper. If you keep up with the work you will be fine, make sure you participate in the discussions. Book is important to have.
25 Blackboard topics to write on, 4 or 5 tests (50-60 questions). The two main books are mandatory since the answers for the tests are all in them. Very cut and dry class. 100% self-study/self-guided. She responds quick.
Elizabeth claims the class is open, but does not seem to be very open-minded about opposing views. Four tests, so don't screw any up
Very informative course, would definitely recommend it. Only 4 exams, open book but study over material anyway or you won't pass. Not, a difficult class if you pay attention and take the time to study.
She is a good teacher if you pay attention. Make sure to pay attention to guest speakers and watch the videos given. Read the chapters and study and you'll do well on the tests.
I am an A student and this class has brought my gpa down. She only grades you on 4 exams and they are very hard. She puts too much questions on the exam knowing that there is not that much time to answer since we have to flip through the book. Horrible teacher, majority of your students aren't doing well, and she hasn't changed her exams !
The class is based on 4 exams, all are open notes, but notes do not help at all. Tests are unbelievable hard and no extra credit is given, so if you aren't good at exams you are screwed
This class was one of the most interesting classes I have ever taken. Prof Calamidas is really intelligent and encourages discussions. If you come to class and study the book, you will have no problem in this class. Tests are open book which seems easy- but she makes it so you actually have to know the material. If familiar with book you are good!
She only gives out test, bases grade off test, no make-up test, hard to reach. Textbook is a must, attendance is not mandatory but try not to miss more then 3 classes.
This class was for the most part an easy A. Everyone who tells you not to take it is LAZY. All i did was read the text then copy her lecture slides on my cheat sheet. I got 95-98s on every exam. 4 exams that are open book & you get a double sided typed cheat sheet for. don't know what more people expect from a college course. learned a lot!!
Calamidas class was based on 4 tests and thats it. No homework no attendance credit and absolutely no extra credit. Shes the least understanding professors Ive had at Stockton. Tests are open book and note (to an extent) and are long & HARD. Her lectures are so long its hard to know what to put on a cheat sheet. Would not recommend to anyone.
Excellent professor, very understanding and willing to work with students. I am so grateful for her in helping me get through this semester so I can graduate. I definitely recommend to take her, she is very straight forward in what she wants so that is also a bonus.
Watched so many movies - felt like a waste of money and time. Tests are 100% of your grade (no curve or extra credit), and they all contain at least 15 subjective questions. Her lectures are boring, long, and often contains offensive information that's borderline discriminatory. She has tenure and doesn't care about providing a proper education.
her lectures have nothing to do with what she puts on the exams, u have no homework no papers everything is based on four exams. The exams are about 80-85 questions open book but the book does nothing to help u answer the questions. To many questions and not enough time to take the exam. When i say her exams are hard i really mean they are HARD .
Honestly this class was scary in the beginning but after the first exam you get adjusted to what to do and what not to do. She makes you work for your grade, its not given. As long as you actually read the chapters and come to class, youll be fine. If you dont read youll be stuck in the book looking for answers during the entire exam.
Gives only 4 test if u fail 1 test u failed the class
Prof. Calamedias class was really tough. If you do not do well on tests, don't take this class It is important to be at every class because items on the test are based on stuff she does in class. Your grade is based on 4 tests, and there is no extra credit offered.
She covers a lot in class but her tests are open book. She can give you an attitude easily though and for some people that doesnt fly well. If you miss a test you cannot make up during class time even though she posts her lecture notes on blackboard so if you miss your test you need a note and make up on her time.
She is a great prof as long as you pay attention in class and review the notes. Graded on 4 exams, but offered an extra credit paper. Just study a bit and have the textbook and you will do fine
Grade is based off of four relatively easy exams, and discussion posts throughout the semester. There is an event about public health presentations/jobs that is mandatory to show up for no matter what your major is (which was highly unexpected since this is a fully online class).
If you are not a good test taker I wouldn't recommend. Grade is based on 4 exams and there is an extra credit paper. She is an awesome professor and as long as you show up and study the notes from class you should be fine. Exams are open book but don't rely on them too heavily, you won't finish in time. Totally recommend if you are a good tester!
There are 4 tests that make up your grade for the course. Tests are open book and if you fail an open book test saying it was too hard, I'm sorry but some personal accountability needs to be taken There's also an optional extra credit at the end of the semester that's very easy. Attendance inst mandatory your decision what you want out of the class
Her grading is odd and inconsistent. The required internship symposium is unnecessary and required, but puts a strain on commuters from far away. Her discussion board grading is terrible. Just give people credit if they posted, she takes points off if you don't post within the first week(when they're due in 3-4 weeks) for the discussion boards.
Easy course. She is knowledgeable in her field. There are three open book exams, no homework. I got B's on the tests because some of the questions were based on material and movies covered in class. I only showed up for tests and passed with a B. Solid course to take for credits. You will be uncomfortable if you don't like talking about sex.
She does not give any extra credit just a reflection. She does not care for the students at all. I would not take her. She does not care how other students study different then others nor doesnt try to help a student
Only was graded on 7 exams throughout the entire semester. She assigns long powerpoints in which i took an insane amount of notes and studied and still got low C's on every exam (open textbook). I did not get anything lower than an A this semester besides her class. Would not recommend. This class was very hard to pass, even with open text exams.
Answers emails at a reasonable time frame. Willing to help. Gives class a grade breakdown after each test like a class average and the lowest and highest grade. If you watch all videos, read the textbook youll do fine on the tests. If you dont, youll fail them. 7 exams. Sexuality class was surprisingly inspiring and eye-opening. I learned a lot.
Grading material is not clear. It's said that watching her hour long powerpoint videos are required, but the only thing we are graded on, are her tests. The tests are open book, but I've still only gotten a high C. She said we should dedicate 9 hours a week towards studying but some of us have jobs or kids and cannot afford that on top of class!
Do not take ! s my GPA dropped I studied so much more than all my courses for my profession Im a straight A student and got a C notebook usage was allowed but the answers are impossible to find at times her wording makes it difficult and she does not care ! Around 15 of us made a group chat regarding failing and dropping but we needed the credits
I am currently taking her for the spring semester and her class is one of the worst things I've taken in my life. She makes you download the respondus lockdown browser for all of your tests. This makes zero sense considering the tests are all open note. And If you refuse to download the browser (which has access webcam and personal data)
taking this class now and its the WORST. I might drop it tbh. do not take her! all exam based, no zooms, records u while taking exam, u basically have to teach urself. exams every 2 weeks with 40 page chapters each- 2 chapters per lesson. open book but doesn't help, questions are confusing. find that V and GSS somewhere else pls. she doesn't care
Actually had her for PUBH2300!!! 5 modules with 3 discussion posts and an exam, 3 weeks for each module. Exams are in lockdown browser, but they are open book and you have more than enough time. She is super understanding and accommodating if you're on top of your work.
Took for an online health class that was made up of 4 modules, 3 discussion posts in each, and an exam for each module. Exams were open book and fairly easy. If you read, look over the Powerpoints, and participate in the discussions, you will get an A. Pay attention to due dates to be sure that you get the exams and discussion posts in on time!!!
Perspective on Sexuality is most definitely one of the hardest classes I have taken. It is all online, asynchronous, and the only thing you are graded on is the tests. The tests are forty questions, open book, but must be done on lockdown browser. She posts voice-over powerpoints, and her voice is so monotone in them, you would think its a computer
I loved this class but I can see how it would be really difficult online. Just be really prepared for the exams!
Screw her and her lockdown browser, she doesn't like to help it's like she's there to challenge not to help you if you can do everything on time then maybe take the class but shes not understanding to your situation at all
I enjoyed Professor Calamidas' class. I thought the subject matter was engagingly presented while also leaving room for student participation. Tests in her class where simple enough, and as long as you have the text book you'll be ok. Points for interesting class activities, mostly towards the beginning of lectures.
This class was so interesting! Professor Calamidas is very smart and you can learn a lot from her and her experiences. Attendance isn't mandatory but you should go to class because it will help on the tests. If you aren't test savvy, there are easy extra credits to do. The class is hard, so you have to be willing to put in some effort.
I enjoyed this class and professor Calamidas' explanations, classes were engaging but are not necessary to attend since she posts the power points she uses during lectures. You also need to independently read the sexuality textbook. You are required to watch 1-3 hour videos before each exam. There are 5 exams. No homework or assignments.
The class was okay (when I went, she didn't do attendance), we had 5 exams, and that is all you get graded on. She offers EC in the form of a reflection essay for the chapter (3 opportunities). You need the book or you will not pass, the book is about $150. I picked it up only for the exams and that's it. Overall not hard just gotta read the text.
Professor Calamidas is very lecture heavy but she does like participation which makes classes easy to follow. Attendance is not mandatory but exams are pretty hard. They are based on the textbook which you read on your own. A lot of classes are canceled due to exam days and video days so that is nice.
This class specifically was very biased. I began the semester attending every class but eventually it became too much. I was not comfortable in this class and disagreed with most of what she had been teaching. Tests were very difficult and students we asked to purchase a textbook for the class which we NEVER even used!!!!
4200 Health Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion was overall a great class! I felt it was a super easy online class, 2-3 discussion board post per week and 1 exam per week, about 4 chapters of information per exam (No other assigments). Very light workload overall and would 100% recommend you take prof Calamidas for this class!!
Professor Calamidas' class is tough, but using resources like unstuck ai alongside the textbook can really help. Exams are challenging, but staying engaged and putting in the work pays off.
Health equity, diversity, and inclusion wasn't a difficult class. You are graded by four modules, which consists of questions on a discussion board and exams. Make sure you do well on them because there are not a lot of assignments. You absolutely need the textbook. Professor messaged me back quickly when I had questions.
Took for intro to public health, discussion boards every week which were easy. Exams were alright and open textbook which helps. I only opened the textbook when I had to take the exams, (Don't do that), I should have done better. And she's an easy grader
I switched majors to Hlth-Sci, and off the bat she's too strict when it comes to Respondus. She made us take the syllabus quiz w the lockdown browser, and I just find this class rather be taught in person vs online if she's too strict on lockdown.. it's an okay class not my fav
Not helpful in any way shape of form doesn't care if students fail. Terrible communication
Your grade is made up of a few open book exams and 2 small writing assignments. As long as you read the chapters in the book you'll be fine. She doesn't take late assignments tho so try your best to not miss the exams, failing one could tank your grade. The class is pretty easy just read the book.
horrible, doesn't accept late work but only has 6 assignments total in the course. Completely rude in emails and straight to the point. Not friendly or kind at all and is very straight to the point, no conversation. She wouldn't grade one of my two papers in this course because it was turned in 2 hours late.
PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU LIKE YOUR GPA! I've had her for two years because my major requires it, the worst class I've ever taken. There's no in-person option, and your grade is based on four open-book tests, most trick questions. Even with studying, you'll likely get C's.The readings are overwhelming, she offer no help avoid this class!
I hate this class. 2 books needed, LOTS of reading, and exams are open notes. Her exams are NOTHING like the textbooks, almost like she is tricking us. I did spend the entire time looking up each question, and the books are NO help. Your grade solely relies on her exams, which most likely u will get an F unless ur a genius. PLS AVOID
do not take this class. took it online thinking it was going to be easy but you basically have to teach yourself all the concepts. I asked her to create a study guide because I am basically failing and she said no. there is only 4 exams, 60 multiple choice questions, you can use the textbook but it doesn't help. she simply just doesn't care.
This class sucks so bad. I had her b4 and I liked intro to pubh. your grade relies on her 4 exams,I don't know how textbooks are helpful bc on the test you literally can't find answers almost like she is tricking us. She is no help, I asked her how to improve even tho im studying, she says "don't cram it into ur other classes"- immediately dropped.
Worst online class to ever be taken the text book is no help she says it's open book but no answers are provided when we take the exams she uses a lockdown browser for everything never replies to emails starting to assume she just comes here for a check and to not actually teach the class had to give her a 1 but she deserves a -10
