Very interesting, very nice.

Very entertaining, open notes everything.
Open note tests!
open book open notes and is a great prof.
Quizzes are hard! Open book/open note doesn't help.
Easy if you read and go to class. Easy tests and can use notes.
Challenging, yet easy to get a good grade. She knows her stuff!
You see open note everything and assume it's easy, but it's not. Her quizes are impossible...and the exams are alright. Boring class as well. i would stay away from her.
Had her twice, loved her the second time around. Pay attention and go to class.
Quizzes are HARD!
Very interesting, open, and intelligent Prof. Test can be hard, but the are open book. If you study before, you should ace this class.
Love the teacher..Open book, open note tests and quizes. Definately a teacher to take
BORING!!! She rambles on about nothing for the entire class time. The quizzes and tests are open book/notes, but it doesnt matter! After she hands the tests back, she will agree with you that some of the questions are bad, and give you points back.
Hells bells and cockleshells SUPER EASY. Best teacher ever. Just go to class, 80% of your grade is attendance and quizes. everything is OPEN NOTES!!!!, even exams. you take 2 exams and drop the lowest one. Watch his eyes.
Very thorough in instruction. Must go to class, but she answers questions and will consider requests. One of the best teachers.
Lots of quizzes but easy finals
If you like to take quizzes than I highly recommend this class. We just got done with our 15th quiz in 11 weeks. Open books and open notes but not enough time. After quiz she incoherenly rants and raves about political issues, boring! Condescending!
Good teacher. All open note/book,old quiz exams and quizzes. She's a little quiz crazy, but right out of the chapters. I would take her again!
Good teacher, Overall super nice, i did enjoy having her and look to take her again, lots of quizzes, read the chapter and ull be okay.
Makes law not so boring. Everything is open book, but the quizzes can still be challenging so don't blow them off. Highly routine, but she's funny. Recommended.
Great teacher, funny, smart. Likes all students more than CMU staff. She said today that she will NO LONGER give quizzes after this semester (Fall 04) So future classes have it easier i would assume. AWESOME Prof.
One of the funnest teachers i have had. Quiz's get repetative but she is open to suggestions. Great to learn from, I would take her again!
her philosophy on grades allow for a learning center survey of the information with very little emphasis on grades. THe informaton required to learn the material is repeated in many different formats for all to comprehend. her personality also is great.
This teacher goes on forever about a lot of nothing. I would not recomend taking her but others have said she is good. Tries to not make it boring for you but she gets really cheesy and she grades pretty hard...good luck getting an A.
teacher relates material to real life and current events. expects students to understand the concepts and apply them to business practices, not just memprize definitions. Uses many examples to illustrate application of the rules. Weekly exercises, class
Very good teacher. Read the material and take decent notes and you'll do great. Very friendly and approachable.
I liked the class for the most part.
This is an interesting class. Everything is open book, but I learned more in this class than I did in a lot of others. Lectures aren't too bad and tests are pretty easy. Take her.
She was very enthusiastic about the subject. I think she used to be a lawyer, so she really knows her stuff. Definately reccommmend!!!!
Love this class. She is a lot of help if you just ask her. She may seem intimidating the first day, but stick with the class.
She really knew what she was talking about, and she made you understand the topic very well. All the exams and exercises are open book/notes, which make it easier!! I recommend this teacher for BLR 202!
Very easy course. Open note/book exams. Loved it. Need to stay for the boring lecture. Attendance is required and will knock off points. Easy A if you go the class.
VERY EASY class!!!! All you have to do is show up on exam days and you can get an A or a B. she lets you use your book on exams. no brainer course.
Basically you learn the material, but a major plus is the open book/note exams. Although you never really know what will be on an exam and she is hard to get ahold of, she was never in her office, during office hours, when I went there.
There are over 100 preparatory questions for each exam. The exams are then based on those questions. You really learn the material this way especially since we go over all of the cases in class. She is very willing to help and really wants the students to learn.
Shes a really awesome teacher, very helpful. The exams are not hard if you do the prep. material it comes right off of it. She is a very intelligent and caring teacher, I would strongly recommend her!
I have never received a bad grade until I took her class. I have read bad reviews about her in the past which I don't see it anymore. Avoid her at all cost. It may be an open book class, but it's tests are extremly hard. She basically doesn't know how to teach!
There are good and bad points. The class is easy - but you have to go - which is the worst part because it is soo boring. she is funny when she wants. She is a very nice person though.
Great teacher, Allowed the study of classical trials to be interesting and even relate to things today. Not the typical trials you'd expect, i dont think that shes teaching this class again but if she teaches this way in all her classes then she should be amazing. Always invites you to offer your take and think critically about the subject
very easy to get a C or better. not hard at all to get a B either but can tricky. gives the 50Q exam before hand as a study guide and you can use it on test but her test Q's are misleading. No matter how much of the class agrees with something she will always be right. if she said the sky is green you better put green on the test.dont go 2 class
Awesome Prof. Gives you all the questions to exam and open book exams. You can't go wrong!!She cares about students adn wants them to do well.
Very nice professor. She is very knowledgable of the subject and very helpful to students. Go to class and you will do great.
Very good prof! She loves her students and tries to keep personal opinion out of what she teaches, and just tells the facts. She is a very nice lady, class is fun, and she tries to help everyone succeed.
Very nice women. Gives prep material for exams and they are open book. Watch out though because a lot of her questions are open ended and confusing!
Very fair professor; provides study material and takes test questions directly from it. Promotes discussion, knows what she is talking about and is very down to earth.

Campbell was very useless. Her lectures were pointless. She talked about the same thing over and over. There is no incentives on going to class. I would rather sleep in. Very unclear on papers and tests.
Professor campbell is very unclear in her teachings. She allows you to use your notes and book for test, however the exam is so hard and you have to search and search for the answer it just as well be closed book. This class was boring and she is not a good professor..take someone else!
not a bad teacher, shes a funny lady and knows that the students are only in the class because it is required. she helps if you need it, but you have to try the assignments first.
Talks a lot, Quizzes and test are all open book and open note. Just read and do stuff on your own, class is pointless except for a quiz, almost everyday
In my opinion she acts like a crazy person with her rants and "advice." I thought the class was really easy. Open book, open notes for tests and quizes. Show up for class and you shouldn't have any trouble. The class is literally out of 100 pts. So the extra credit really helps. 1pt of extra credit is a 1% boost in grade. There is a ton of it too.
she is a great teacher
She decided to change her teaching style. No mandatory attendence, no quizes, not homework. Awesome except she made the open book tests very difficult. Her lectures are useless and her notes are very unorganized. AVOID HER!
All of her exams are open note and open book. She gives you all the notes you need on BlackBoard too. So really, class is pointless and as long as you skim the book before the exams you're golden. Not the most helpful or accessible prof in the world.
loved this class
This teacher is awesome! She is so funny and will basically say whatever she is feeling at the moment without thinking, which makes the class fun. The tests and quizzes are all open book and notes so there not too bad at all, lectures can be boring but I actually did learn some things and she made the class interesting. I would recommend her!
Awful teacher! would never recommend her, she gets off topic easily and always interrupts class for the stupidest reasons. It's so hard to understand what she talking about. Take a different professor unless you want a low grade.
Quirky lecturer. Quizzes based on book& lectures(but she drops a lot of low scoring ones)& quizzes/Exams are open book. Very easy to get an A-just don't be a complete slacker. Seriously think about the logic of the people griping that her exams are open book & it's too difficult for them to find the info. Alternative is having to actually study :O
Really helpful and all quizzes and exams are open book/notes.
Great teacher! Gives a quiz everyday but it helps reinforce the material and she drops the lowest few scores. Gives great examples and cases to help you learn. I suggest taking her.
Easiest class ever. gives you quizzes, but lets you correct them yourself.......... I ended up with 99% on quizzes which is 50% of your grade.
Real nice lady. Keeps your attention during lectures and lectures on the material that is on the daily quizzes at the end of each class. Would definitely take her again.
I definitly thought I was going to struggle with this class. If you outline the book, you have a better shot of knowing the material. Grade your own quizes too and fill the answers in as you go and your grade won't suffer. The projects aren't too bad either if you understand the material.
Campbell is awesome. Her class is really easy with the everyday quizzes and cases. Her exam are kinda hard but not that bad. Her stories are funny and she uses real world examples to prepare you for real world problems. Take her class.
Class is only made up of three 50point exams and 50 points for the average of your quizzes. You have to show up every class for a quiz that is graded by someone around you - she drops the lowest three. I had this class super early in the morning so it made it difficult. She uses great examples but I wish there had been more points overall.
Class was pretty boring but very easy. The exam reviews are EXACTLY like the exams. She was a tough grader on case briefs. Take this class with her!!!!
Prof. Campbell comes off quite intimidating, but once you get to know her, you'll realize she nice and personable. BLR 222WI was not an enjoyable as I do not like law and that this class was required by the University. This being said there are pop quizzes and homework after every single class and these quizzes are 50% of your final grade. Hard A
Overall grade is weighted by everyday quizzes that are easy to make mistakes on. They aren't graded right either, easy to misinterpret. Campbell is a sweet lady but spent way too much time in courtrooms. Hard class to let your creativity fly.
Turn everything in and youre fine
She has been my least favorite professor since coming to CMU. The class itself is not that hard and is relatively straightforward with readings, quizzes, and exams, but often she does not answer questions clearly, suggests you should know things she has not taught, and acts in a rude manner.
Prof was open notes/books/anything which was nice, and the exams were exactly the same as the practice tests she gives online, but she makes you work very hard to find the answers. There are weekly quizzes on cases she assigns you to read, and they can be somewhat challenging if you don't read. Also make sure to find a group to help study with!
I am so glad that professor Campbell was one of the first professors I had as a freshman! For BLR222WI there is a lot of reading ( you HAVE to read if you want to pass the quizzes), but there are only a handful of small writing assignments and one final paper. You go over pretty much everything in class and she often gives you take-home quizzes.
Loved Elizabeth, I thought I would hate "Search for Racial Justice Through Law" but she managed to make the required course into something really interesting and, at times, actually fun. She's used to working with freshman, and is pretty laid back, but she does actually want you to do the work- it's only an easy A if you turn everything in. 10/10
The class was taken during COVID. The class was strictly online and was graded by 3 exams (50 pts each) and 2 papers (25pts each). Graded strict with the papers and very little wiggle room to mess up considering the class was only 200 points in total.
Dr. Campbell is pretty serious and tough. She can be sweet, but will get annoyed if people are asking too many questions during lectures. Class is basically all lectures and if it's not online (she records online sessions) then you're screwed for the papers if you miss one. Exams are the easiest things ever, though.
I had this class online and it wasn't as much reading and briefs as the in-person section but there was a sufficient amount of work. You really had to be in class to get the quiz notes and necessary information. We don't have too many assignments which are why paying attention is crucial. I wouldn't worry as Professor Campbell is willing to help!
She is a great person and she is understanding but she drags her lectures on for the whole time and goes off onto tangents about things that don't really involve the content. The tests are straightforward and are based on in-class quizzes. You must attend every class to get the correct answers for the quizzes.
Teaches from a extremely liberal perspective. Has a different perspective on the cases than what her own book says happened. The powerpoint quiz exams were very easy but the two written paper were almost impossible and not graded equally when I compared my work to other students. I would not recommend taking this class because of terrible grading.
Professor Campbell was understanding, but the class was kind of difficult. There are three exams that were extremely easy and based off of powerpoint quizzes that you are given the answers to. There were also two papers that were pretty hard and time consuming. Although, she did boost your grade if you did better on the future assignments.
Exams are hard but if you take good notes they're fine.. It's the papers you need to worry about. I spent like 4 hours writing that first essay and got an F on it. Second one, I spent about the same but took the advice she gave us and got a B. She made it so the 2nd essay's grade will replace the first, so I got 2 b's. She rants a lot in class.
Use the powerpoint quizzes, they help you out so much!
The class itself is easy as long as you brief the cases and use the powerpoint quizzes for review. I will say by the end of the semester she would begin to review cases that were not assigned for the day and never modified the syllabus so it was a surprise/annoyance when she would start talking about a case that I had yet to read.
Professor Campbell is amazing, lecture heavy and sometimes goes off on tangents but they're course related. Disclaimer for this class: the only grades are in-class open note "essays" that you write. They aren't really essays it's more like a 1 or 2 question written response. You only need 10 but you have the opportunity to write more. Easy A!
Professor Campbell made the class easy enough for freshman and interesting in lectures. Reading the cases before class is quite helpful, but not necessary if you pay attention in class. Only papers made up the grade, but she dropped your lowest. Come in person even if it's hybrid, she talks after class and is open to chat.
