She genuinely cares about her students and is extremely helpful in office hours. Organic chemistry is very hard by nature but she does everything she can in order to help you understand. Very engaging lecturer. Best way to do well in this class is to pay attention and do as many practice problems as you possibly can.

She is extremely nice and genuinely cares about her students; you only need to talk to her once to know it. She can maybe be a bit too serious during lecture at times, but overall she's great. Take it with her if you can! (And yes, this is one of those "textbook ACTUALLY required" classes - obviously.)

def take her for orgo 2. Her tests are more fair than Gong's. Everything on the test is from her lecture slides. If you memorize all of the reactions and know how to apply them, you will be fine for the test. Btw, orgo 2 is a LOT easier than orgo 1 which i took with Richard and his tests were a nightmare!!

Dr. Clizbe is one of the nicest professors I have come across at UB. She is always willing to help you and meet with you. If you go to her to go over her exam she gives points back. One of the nicest professor I have come across in UB. Very helpful and nice. Nevery snarky..She would help you in office hours, but I wont recommend going too often esp just before exams when other people are often going. Her practice problems make her the best. Exams are reasonably hard..but that's part of Orgo.

She's an alright professor, just like any other professor really. The only way to do well in this class is to do problems, skim through the chapters to get an idea of the concept, just knock out every single problem and then some. Her tests are long, so manage your time. In the long run, it's up to you, take Diver over her if possible though.

Dr. Clizbe is very smart, she's for the most part very clear during lecture. She answers questions. There are tons of homework that only count for a little bit of your final grade. The key to organic chemistry is to practice all the problems for each chapter. It will make a huge difference. First test does not tell you how you will do for the semester it is very different than the other exams (easy). Get the textbook, practice the problems and don't listen to people's complaints about this course. It is not impossible.

Clizbe is an awful teacher. Her slides are pictures directly from the textbook with barely any words. Organic chemistry is a hard topic so having to learn based off a picture and her talking about the picture without any examples is almost impossible. To do well in this class read the textbook and teach yourself and you will do fine.

Only good thing is the extra credit you can earn. Otherwise, she is condescending in her email responses, and material she deems "irrelevant" ends up on tests. This is a hard class, but it honestly could've been a lot easier had it been taught properly. "This is not a memorization class" is the biggest lie I've heard. Know reagents.

Clizbe is an underrated professor for orgo 1. She does tend to speed through topics that end up being on tests. The material is hard depending on what type of person you are. In general, if you have good logic and spatial thinking skill, getting an A isn't a big problem. There is some memorization in this class, but most of the time it depends on logic and spatial thinking. You just need to know when to use a specific reagent to obtain a certain product.
