I've had Dr. Ashe for 2 classes and she is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She knows her stuff and she teaches in a way that everyone can understand. She'll email you the slides from class and almost everything on the test is from the slides.

She's a super nice lady and extremely easy to talk to for any questions you have. Listen to her "side stories" and you'll get the extra credit questions right on her exams. Definitely do the study guide questions & you'll do well on her tests.

This was one of my favorite classes, not for the material, but because of Dr. Ashe. She makes the class interesting. As long as you do your 4 critical thinking assignments, a paper, and do the study guides for the tests you will be fine. Defnitely recommend!

Dr.Ashe is funny and easy to talk. The test are multiply quetions (50). Only four test with an essay, if you take all 4 test and go to class you do not have to take the final. She would give you a big easy project (group).Also,she would give you your test quetions ahead of time(about125 questions)

The extra credits on tests basically focus on the class discussions. Show up and do all the works, everyone can get an A easy. She gives chances to earn points on tests during class.

The cutest and funniest lady you will ever meet. You have no hw, and she emails you the notes and all you have to do is follow along in class and fill in the blanks on the notes. The tests are mutiple choice, and there is no "hw" excpet the take-home essays which are really easy. Just do your family project and pay attention and you will be fine.

Dr. Ashe is amazing. Very very sweet, pretty easy grader. She makes lessons interesting by telling real-life stories, showing video clips, and doing examples in class. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you can be exempt from the final if you have less than 3 absences, make a C or better on all of the exams, and make a 6 out of 10 on the final quiz.

Professor Diane is a good teacher. She helps you to understand everything, her test is easy if you are study, she give the powerpoint note, and study guide that is really helpful. i recommend Diane for everybody. nice teacher, comprehensive.

Very sweet, friendly teacher that uses personal stories that apply to concepts taught in class. Notes are emailed to you, so all you have to do is print them out and pay attention in class! Just be warned. Great teacher. Fun. Interesting class, but A LOT of work. Be preapred to spend hours outside of class studying and reading the book if you want an A. Tests are difficult. 3 Chapters at a time, 60 questions, 2 essays. Large paper due at the end of the semester, about 7-10 pages. Simple, but time consuming.

I learned so much in this class. Yes it's a lot of studying but if you know the material that is on the study guide then you'll do fine. She gives extra credit and that helps as well. Very funny. At first I thought she talked too fast but then I got used to it.

What everyone failed to mention is there is a lot of writing required for this class. Take her if you plan on majoring in this field because she is a wonderful professor, but just be warned. everytime there is a test due there is an essay you must turn in with it.

It is a breath of fresh air to attend classes. Yes, you have to read a lot, write a lot, but you also learn a lot, and it is ALWAYS fun. She is a sweetheart and you really feel she has your best interest at heart. If it were possible I would "live" in her class. That is how dear she is. YOU MUST TAKE HER, you would never regret it. FAR most the best teacher yet@ valencia. I've taken her for general and now Dev.Easy A if you apply your self. She gives you study guides, and plenty of extra credit.She also gives you a calender that has an outline of everything you need to have finished on the due date. PRINT OUT NOTES BEFORE YOU ATTEND LECTURES. It saved me a lot of paper.

This professor is one of the best I have had. She cares about her students and really wants them to do well. She is funny and goes out of her way to explain things and gives ample opportunities for extra credit. I highly recommend her!

Professor Ashe is a great professor. She talks a lot in class, but she really explains the material very well, so you do want to listen to her lectures. She talks about her life a little too but paying attention to those lectures as well can help you get some bonuses on your tests. And if youre always on time she could give you extra credit.

She was a very good teacher If you got a bad grade in the class its because you didnt try AT ALL i wouldn't say that the tests were a cake walk, you did have to study and do well on the projects, but i didn't do some of the assignments and got a B shes nice but annoying about cell phones. wouldnt recommend if youre lazy and looking for an auto A

Class was easy if you did the work she assigned. a few online assignments, 4 tests and one big group project. Lots and lots of writing but an easy class if you put in the effort

Dr. Ashe is fabulous! I have already signed up for DEP with her. Do the chapter review and you will pass her test. Left with an A. She has 3 test and 1 paper, if you have less than 3 absents and a C or higher, you do not have to take the final. One of the best teachers at Valencia!

As a general psychology class, I wasn't expecting it to be difficult at all but this class is extremely easy. Despite that, you can still learn a lot here, Ashe just doesn't give hard tests at stress you out at all. That being the case, just sit back, relax and open your mind up a bit while you are in class. It was one of the best experiences.

Dr. Ashe is awesome! She is super funny! I had her at 8am and she made the class more bearable that early. Tests aren't hard at all. Gives you plenty of time to do all your assignments. Best teacher at Valencia ever. She gives notes, power points, online quizzes, take home essays, study guides for the tests, videos pertaining to the lesson. She is amazing and all of her stories relate to the lectures and she never goes too off topic. This is my second class with her because she is the best.

I loved coming to her class, even though all we did was listen to her talk based on a powerpoint she still had an interesting and hilarious way of teaching that made the class fun and informative. The work she assigns is online quizes, in class unit exams, and essays. The groupwork is very easy. And she gives opportunities for extra credit.

Lectures are easy to understand. Take notes on everything. She has ++ credit questions on her exams & sometimes its on vids you watched during class. She has handouts, copies of lecture slides,& study guides for exams. Used LS to prepare 4 exams. Gives you everything you need 2-3wks before exam. Quizzes online openbook w. 3x chances for each.

Lectures all period from a powerpoint, but it's actually interesting! Only 3 exams and if you have a good average on all 3, you don't have to take the final. Final research paper which was hard to write, uses online program Aplia but it's helpful. She's awkward but funny. Would definitely take again.

She is so awesome because she only gives three tests all semester and if you pass those tests with good grades (follow the study guide it is exactly like the test follow it, do it and you ace it) she lets you skip the final!!! (also attend as much as possible she will randomly give 5 extra credit attendance points on the tests!

Professor Ashe is so sweet! I highly recommend her for dev psych. The study guides are KEY to passing her tests. If you do well on test, don't go over 3 absences, and pass a quiz u will be exempt from taking the cumulative final exam. Take her you won't regret it.

Professor Ashe was awesome! Any homework was online tests that you could use textbook. Only four in class tests. Went over almost every chapter in class and in detail. Her lectures were funny and made everything more relatable. Talks about dogs a lot, but that's okay. Didn't even want to miss her class, but she takes attendance seriously.

Prof Ashe's class was interesting. There are 3 test about 50 multiple choice and 4 short answer response. STUDY FOR EACH TEST!! If you pass those 3 test you don't have to take final. Test are not easy but if you study they will be a breeze. 1 research paper, and offers extra credit at the end of the semester. NO talking when she is or phones!

Such a great class. She gives so many resources like study guides and notes. Would recommend that you actually read all the chapters assigned and to do the study guides because they come in handy during the test. I am taking her again for developmental psy, but not a hard class.

When the class first started, there was confusion about whether or not a textbook was needed. AnswerYes. However, it can be the e-book version or physical textbook. Best way to get through tests are to do study guides. She gives a lot of assignments to build up points to equal grade. So if no work done- no points earned and result is low grade.

I went into this class having never taken a psychology course. While some of the material is difficult by nature, prof Ashe makes it enjoyable. She explains everything necessary to pass the class, and is always willing to work with you. Easy to access when needed, and definitely passionate about the subject.

Funny, caring. There are 4 exams, a virtual child project, online chp quizzes. Each exam comes with take home essay Qs adds 20pts to your exam grade. If you have atleast a C, never missed class or an exam she exempts you from the final. Lectures consist of videos relating to topics. Book is used for online quizzes. study guides provided for exams.

Dr Ashe gives extra credit, is rather fun to listen to, I didn't get bored at all, she WILL NOT tolerate your phone in class, if you can't live without your phone for an hour, taken someone else, but you'll miss out if you don't take her. Tests have extra credit, listen for the small details she dishes out!

She was one of my favorite profs I've ever had. She is very straight forward about what she expects out of her students. One thing I would say if you plan on taking her class is listen to her real world examples they are usually extra credit questions on her tests. Don't miss any classes and you pay attention though, her class is face paced.

I took 2 different psychology classes with her. Stays consistent, easy as long as you follow directions. She has a heart of gold and does a good job as a teacher. She adds lots of personal stories that help the lessons stick. She makes a point to stay organized and hands out a schedule. Will amend it if things happen and is lenient in some aspects.

Dr. Thompson is amazing! She cares about each student and has a passion for the field. She gives clear instructions for assignments and makes sure you understand the rubric. Gives extra credit sometimes. Participate when requested! She also gives excellent feedback so you understand your grade and learn from it. I will be taking more of her classes

She laughs and talks at the same time, it's kind of adorable. She creates studyguides/outlines that you should print and bring to class. I only said attendance is mandatory because she will give you exam answers or mention things that will later be extra credit answers. I didnt really read the textbook but i used mindtap a lot.

Prof Thompson is clear with instructions. Her lectures are enjoyable. The study guides that she gives are LITERALLY everything you need to study for the test. She gives extra credit opportunities throughout the semester and on every test. She expects you to work hard, but is extremely kind, offering help if you need it.

The best proffersor I have taken so far I took her for two semsters and passed her class she does her best with making sure everyone understands she responds to emails quick class was never boring she added videos and pictures to her slides which makes it easier to pay attention if she was teaching any other subject I would definitely take her.

Very sweet lady and cares about all of her students. Had her for General Psych and Developmental Psych. Due dates got pushed back frequently. Gives a lot of homework, chapter quizzes online, and 3 tests for general and 4 for developmental (not including optional final). Overall she is very laid back and understanding. Dr. Thompson is a great professor. She has experience working as a psychologist in prisons and clinics and has lots of stories to show for it. Tests are never a surprise as all the information is gone over in class and she creates very good study guides.

Dr. Thompson is amazing! She provides a study guide that is exactly like the test. During this semester, i'd take notes on the lessons on mindtap and pay close attention to those that are on the study guide.I passed the class with a 98. Tests are 50 MC and 4 WR q's but she hints the questions during lectures. She has interesting lectures! Take her!

Professor Thompson is really caring, one of the nicest professors I have ever had. If you are planning on taking her class pay attention to the study guides, they really help with exams. Attendance is not mandatory, but if you are absent for less than 3 days you don't need to take the final.

I took Prof. Thompson's class this spring, it was really good. She is very helpful, and willing to answer all questions you may have. She offers plenty of extra credit works. Most of the contents is on her power-points, but reading the book is still recommended. Prof. Thompson will provide you with a lot of resources to have a grasp on content.

If you are planning to take Gen Psychology do not hesitate to register in Thompson's Class, you will not regret. She is a very caring, helpful professor. You will enjoy her exciting lectures, her stories from her personal life. She is an amazing Professor.

Took Professor Thompson as a dual enrollment student with no college experience and got an A. About 2 super easy assignments due each week, and about 3-4 tests. Final was optional if you weren't absent more than 3 times. Gives hints to what may be on the short answer part of the tests, so pay attention. Show up, and you will pass! She is wonderful!

Professor is compassionate and cares! Workload is manageable and necessary if you're a bad test taker. Shouldn't get lower than an A on every homework assignment. Advised to watch her narrated powerpoints because it's sufficient enough for me to pass her exams. Drops assignments and exemption from final is earned. WILL take her DEP2004 course.

She's the best! Super nice and caring. About 1-2 easy assignments a week, drops your lowest test score, gives extra credit. Has study guides for each test and provides recorded lectures over each chapter. There's really no way to fail her class unless you're just not doing the work.

Professor Thompson was truly caring for her students. First semester back from quarantine and she was very understanding and open minded. The class is very informative, lots of readings but the study guides are really helpful for the tests and the assignments are simple. She is very experienced in psychology, and she is there to help with anything.

Amazing Professor. She keeps her lectures and assignments engaging, shes funny, and the ways she structures her class is clear to follow. Online school has been difficult for me but youll take out so much out of her course. 12 out of 10.

I really enjoyed this class because it wasn't too hard and it was fun to take. She has powerpoints that are recorded and you can watch as lectures, but if you prefer you could just read the textbook. I really liked the way she gave class. It was a fully online course and I liked the structure of the assignments every week.

I took Psy2012 Fall 2023 and felt that the class was set up in a way to make sure you knew the fundamentals of Psych. without being overwhelmed. Her lectures made it easy to actually process and understand the info given, not just reciting it. There was a lot of reading and writing, something I enjoy but might be hard for others. 10/10

Professor Thompson's PSY2012 class is a great choice. Her engaging lectures and helpful feedback make the material easy to grasp. Tips: use unstuck study, read the textbook, and aim for low absences - it pays off!

Literally the best psych professor I've had. Shes super understanding when it comes to real life problems. Her lectures are sooooo good and she doesn't trip out over attendance. I took the mixed mode and it was super easy, she gives you access to everything that you need and tells you real life scenarios in class. Do yourself a favor and take her!!
