This is one of the worst teachers Ive ever had. She looses track of where we are in the syllabus a lot, makes fun of questions asked in class, assigned a 6pg paper due THE NEXT DAY and very unclear about what homework is due. She has a total liberal political agenda and doesnt listen to anyones opinion if its not her own. Would never recommend.

Professor Elchlepp is a fantastic Professor; however, you need to be ready to be challenged and it is most definitely not an easy A. She grades based on content but also grammar and spelling mistakes. You will definitely enjoy the readings if you take the time to comprehend the information, especially with Mans Search for Meaning.

Shes very specific and wants you to write exactly how she wants it. Very specific about margins and papers if you dont get your margins exactly 1 inch expect a D on your paper. Shes passionate and likes to go over EVERYTHING About a poem or piece of work. DONT TAKE UNLESS YOUR PAPERS ARE PERFECT

My least favorite teacher so far. She gives the shortest deadlines for essays without even giving back your corrected outline so you're basically working off of nothing. Super tough grader and kind of judgmental. Participate a lot in class. Readings are kind of interesting though. Don't take her unless you're amazing at essays.

I took Elchlepp for intersession and I felt as though she treated this 4-week class as though it was a 4-month semester class. She shoved in so much damn work into such a short amount of time that I ended up having to neglect a few assignments for my other intersession class in order to finish the busy work she gave. She also grades way too harshly

There is not ONE good thing about her.. She is confusing and she gets mad if you don't understand her stupid confusing directions. She tells you to do something but then gives you five ways to do it and expects you to just somehow know which of the five ways she wants. Absolutely wish she should leave. WORST TEACHER EVER. STAY AWAY.

Horrible. Absolutely horrible. Shes the kind of teacher who goes over every direction and reads every single thing to us which wastes a lot of time. Always went over time which made it difficult to go to work right after. Worst grader ever. Cared more for structure then the contents of our writing. DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH HER!!!!!

This professor is VERY vague. She mentions an assignment once. NO explanation or what she wants. Never discusses things in class and expects perfection. Under assignments she never gives instructions, sometimes uncertain on the due date. Sometimes will not mention assignments and gets mad. Gives last minute work. Rushes you. Waste of your time.

I took 103 over intersession, which I don't recommend because you won't have a chance to breathe. Prof Elchlepp is a very tough grader and will knock your grade for small things like margins and punctuation, but if you have the proper structure and do the reading you'll be fine. I learned a lot and my writing improved after taking her class.

I took Professor E's class as my first honors class straight out of high school and I had a wonderful time. One, she is very accepting of her LGBTQ students. She gives clear corrections and wants to help you improve your writing. She was kind enough to meet me during winter break and help me with citing. I plan on taking her class again in summer.

Personally, I did not like her teaching style. I took this class over zoom and her lectures were hard to stay interested in. There weren't too many writing assignments but sometimes her grading on them felt inconsistent. She is a nice person and is easy to contact if help is needed. Overall, she is an ok teacher but the material isn't the best.

Professor E is thorough with directions and gives good feedback on your work, you just need to put in the effort. Readings are interesting, no surprise assignments. She is kind and open-minded; if you dont like her political agenda, maybe you have a thing or two to learn from her about humanity and respect, because thats all it really is.
