This is the best teacher I have had. She is very easy to understand. She is very friendly and funny. The way she teaches you to write papers is easy and simple. I feel like I have a secret decoder ring to write college level papers.

Mrs. Ethredge is the most amazing developmental English instructor you could have. She really cares about her students. Her goal is to prepare you for English 1301 and that's exactly what she does. As long as you show up and put in the work, you will pass.

At first when I began this course I wanted to drop this class because I thought it was difficult and didn't understand anything. Then I decided to stay and I started learning and understanding English. The professor help me improve my self-creating proper English sentences.

This semester the 0309 class was a flipped class. For those of you who want to actually learn while in class I wouldnt recommend taking this class flipped. Mrs. Ethredge hadnt used the textbook before and therefore wasnt as organized as I would have preferred it to be. She wont sugar coat if you continue to make the same mistakes over and over

I took Mrs. Ethredge for Engl 1301/0119 and was a very helpful, hilarious professor. She made the lessons interesting to learn and tough many techniques to improve on writing. I took the developmental class 1301/6022 and it was a great class. She encourages you to participate in class. You need to know about due dates!! Prepare to read and know your assignments, but overall fantastic class and helped my writing tremendously.

I took Mrs. E's 8-week fast track class, which I wouldn't recommend doing, and she was incredible. She made sure that every student understands what to write their paper about and how to make an A.

I even wanted to drop the course, but she was very encouraging and insisted I finish the course because she felt I would pass. Professor Ethredge is a great professor. I did not actually meet her in person because I took her 8 week online class. The format of the class is very easy to follow. There are no tests, only chapter quizzes that you do need the book for. The class is broken into 4 projects instead. Follow all instructions and pay attention to due dates!

Mrs. Ethredge is a great instructor, I took her both 1301 and 1302 class. She helped and inspired me a lot in writing essays. In her class, you must show your work. And if you like writing, you will really enjoy her class. :)

One of the worst and hardest professors I have ever taken in the college. I received straight A's since I started this college, but she started grading me with the lower 80s and came down to the lower 60s while saying much better work. She does not care! You will regret it if you take her class. A tough grader gave me 98 and said I never gave 95+.

I had hoped that the teaching style of this professor would improve as class went on, but unfortunately it did not. I have always received A's in English but spent most of this class teaching myself from Purdue Owl and determining what exactly was required rather than learning English. Not a bad teacher. She is unorganized from a students perspective. Due dates are all over the place. She doesn't email back often. Her grading seems sporadic. I gave up on caring about the quizzes because there is no way to know what you got correct or incorrect. How do I learn from that? Expect to work like any class; it's college.

This class consists of 4 projects. Professor Ethredge expects you to keep track of the due dates, she will not constantly remind you when they are. For my first project I received a 58 but I managed to get a 90 for the class. I am definitely not the best writer. I really recommend getting Grammarly, it will catch almost every mistake.

She is very good professor with comments. There are a lot of works for 8 weeks online course, but I still could handle it for me, a non-primary English person who's taking 6 courses this semester. She is an excellent teacher that gives an insane new perspective and teaching style that I have never experienced before. After taking her class I have a whole new way of viewing not only literature but the world we live in.

Probably the best English teacher I have ever had. The lectures connected literature to modern times and personal experiences. I can truly say I grew as a person after taking this class.

This class, though intimidating at first, may be one of the best classes you can take here at Lonestar University Park. This class will take you through an entirely new enlightening period, this is truly a study of man. The assignments are not difficult and you have plenty of time to revise your essay as well.

In the beginning of the semester, I knew she was going to be strict and straight forward by the way she introduced herself. Honestly, I did not think I was going to make through the course. She really helped my writing skills, as well as my critical thinking skills, and overall helped me improve as a student. I highly recommend her class.

This ENGL 2323 class is the one you intend to blow through, but realize now that you will not. Professor Ethredge is a person who will tell you as it is. You get 100% of what you see. In this survey class, you will leave enlightened and ambitious as to your next chapter. Professor Ethredge asks vivifying questions that you will not find elsewhere.

I was really scared on the 1st day because Professor Ethredge had intimidating, strict vibes straight off the bat. Although those things prove true, she is one of the best mentors I ever had. There is a lot of work, but if you read outside of class, take notes, and pay attention in class, you will be able to come out as a better person and student.

Professor Ethredge is a pretty tough professor and grader, she is straightforward and will tell you exactly how it is even if it is harsh, putting that aside I think there is a lot to benefit from this class for the future. She uses Canvas instead of D2L. This class will be hard but put in the work, and your writing will improve for sure.

Professor Ethredge was really wonderful! I took her during the Spring semester for in person learning. On the first day of class, she was very intimidating, and I thought I had made the wrong choice. But I couldn't be more wrong! She was a wonderful professor who provided great feedback and really expanded my knowledge.
