Dr. Flandreau has very high expectations for her research methods students. There's a lot of homework and she is not clear on what her expectations are. The class was often confused on how to do the assignments. You don't get a study guide for the exam, just a list of a few topics to know without any guidelines on how well you need to know them.

In fairness she is a new prof. but very disorganized and contradicts everything she says, don't ask for help because you won't get it. If you have to take this class take it with a different prof. Only good thing about her was, we started our group projects the second week of school, and worked on then throughout the whole semester.

My group sucked but the professor was super understanding. Meeting with her was more useful than class time when everyone else was asking annoying questions and not letting her get to the point. I actually learned how to analyze data, which was useful vs my stats classes when I just did whatever the prof said. Writing is annoying but its an SWS.

This class was HARD and covered a lot of material. Prof Flandreau did a great job of explaining complicated neuroscience stuff but if you don't read the book and the online book before class you will get lost. We got to use a note card for the exams, which saved me! Online quizzes and discussions were a pain but also boosted my grade.

There are only 2 tests and they were really easy. The challenge is the group project. Prof gave out packets of info for how to write the paper and also the grading check list and the APA manual. It's a lot of information but if you follow the instructions then you'll get a good grade. It's an SWS class so there is A LOT of writing.

Heavy emphasis on group homework and discussion, having to coordinate time to finish assignments with 5-6 other people is a major hassle. She lectures extremely fast too. Accessible outside of class, but not exactly helpful. She claims it's "okay to not know the answer," but makes you feel dumb for not knowing. Expect to be put on the spot.

This was different from any class I've had. We had 3 guest speakers. The lowest assignments and tests are dropped so you can get a good grade even if you don't do well on something. The test questions are weird but they're open note. And there's no textbook so I saved money. Flandreau actually cares if you are okay and not just about grades.

This professor was horrible. I had her for neuropsychology (PSY 330) online and she doesn't help at all. The course was EXTREMELY unogranized and she doesn't know how to put in grades or use her own blackboard grading system. I have not known my actual percentage grade the entire semester, her lectures do not make any sense and she talks very fast.

If you don't like watching lecture videos outside of class, choose another prof. Super nice and intelligent prof, but the flipped classroom structure and inconsistent BB grades were tough. You could choose to be in a team but the group expectations were confusing. Exams were 100% written. Attendance is mandatory, and "mini-quizzes" every class.

It was a really easy class to do online. Her lecture videos are really good and test questions were from the videos.
