Took summer class. Take notes, listen, and you will do great. If you do this you won't even need to look in the book. I did just this and I made an A. Multi choice test, one reaction paper, and pre-test review questions was all the writing there was.

Dr. Garner is probably the best Psychology teacher at TCC. I studied my notes for about 30 min the day before each test and got an A on all! Shes also extremely nice to everyone, take her if you can.

I am taking this class again with another teacher. I passed all of the in class assignments but when it comes to her tests they are nothing like what's on the study guide. She is a nice lady and I would recommend her if you are a good studier. I'm not good at tests so she wasn't for me.

She could be hot if she had another wardrobe; she look good. All you have to do is always come to class,bring the print out powerpoint slide, and write down her examples. Study for a couple of hours and anyone can get an A. I promise!!

She is EASY. And that is even to much credit! I loved this class though I learned a ton and it was still easy! Half of what I learned in this class I used in DEP 2004 so I would reccommend taking in that secquence, BUT be sure to take Mrs. Garner! She will make your life so EASY! Her paper is also great she grades it twice to give you a 2nd chance!

Dr. Garner is an EXCELLENT instructor that cares about her students academics. She takes the time to explain & make the study of psychology very straight forward and easy to understand. You can definately apply what you learn in this class in the real world when dealing with human relationships. I highly recommend this instructor. =)

Awesome Teacher! Quirky sense of Humor and alot of fun! She is really interested in the material so she presents it with alot of enthusiasm! Great Class! All her notes are on Blackboard, so all you have to do is print them out and follow along with lecture!

Dr. Garner is a very caring person and always puts her students first. her grading method is great also, she doesn’t just give you 4 test and there’s your grades, there will still be lots of other assignments to help your grades. She's a good teacher to have if your not a test taking kind of person

Has PowerPoint presentation for each chapter but you must read the book in order to do well in exams. Chapters are long but for the most part interesting. Grading system makes it very EASY for anyone to get a good grade (even bad testers) and also lets you make up one missed exam at the end of the semester. Only flaw is that she's a damn Gator!

Mrs. Garner is sweet lady, and really knows a lot about her subject. This class was probably the most interesting I took last semester. If you come to class, and pay attention you will do well. Use the textbook to study for tests, but that's about all you need it for. She give lots of chance to make a good grade with the RQA's. Take those chances!

She is a very easy going professor. You DO need the book for reading responses that are due when you take the tests. Her class is very easy, she is NOT arguementitave. As long as you go to class and study the power points, you will do ok. The person that gave her a bad review obviously had a bad experience, because everyone in my class liked her.

I really liked her class! Super easy to get an A as long as you do a little studying and pay attention in lecture! All of her notes are on power point which makes studying a breeze! She has a great personality and is easy to listen to! Definitely a teacher I would recommend taking!

GREAT TEACHER. She makes learning psychology fun. We didn't really need books this semester bc she tried something new instead of book work to turn in on test days. If you study, the tests are simple, but she makes it so interesting that you want to learn. I would def. recommend this teacher.

Every thing was done through blackboard pretty much so if you missed a class all her lectures are up in power points. shes really GREAT! and helps you a lot, even lets you turn it in early n checks for mistakes so you can get all the points. tests are easy as well as long as you study but the context is very clear and easy to grasp. TAKE HER!!!

Go to class, pay attention, and take notes. hardest part of the class if the cumulative final exam. It is a lot of work but not a bad class.

I took this class as a SPI course. Even though the learning, pacing, & testing was self paced, Prof. Garner was always there to answer questions, provide help. She provided detailed feedback on missed test questions so you can review for the cumulative final. Tests are mult choice & 2 essay. Not really hard, just study. I'm taking her again.

She makes Child Development really interesting! She gives you powerpoint notes so you always know what she is teaching in class. She is a really funny teacher and is always in good mood. Her tests aren't too hard as long as you study. You don't have to go to class every day but it is recommended.

AMAZING! She is VERY funny Her lectures are great, never boring, and she's very expressive. Always clear, never confusing. Notes are easy to understand, and she goes into great explaination, not to mention the fact that she provides them on blackboard. The paper is easy. If you get the chance, take her class!

I like her a lot. The class was so interesting. I took the web-based course, but wish I had her in class situation b/c of all the positive reviews. Maybe next time. I'd definitively take her again. Very helpful. Provides feedback & is very clear as to what she expects (provides a "model" so you know). You'll need to study & do the work though.

I can't say anything that hasn't been said. I took her for child dev. online. It's really hard to NOT get an A in this class. You do use the lecture notes as much as the book. Quizzes get 3 tries and it tells you if your answer was wrong. Great class, awesome professor

she is a very good teacher post power points online & explains it in class along w/examples in class u do need to go to class b.c of the inclass assigments u will have 7 but only 5 will count. test are mult. choice / final is 80 mult. & 8 short answer but are easy b.c they are question u have all ready had from your rqa that go w/test their easy

Great teacher, took her for the online course. Provides lecture outlines for each chapter which help a bunch towards knowing what to actually study since the chapters in the book are looooong! Study those and you will do fine on the tests! Highly recommended.

garner is a nice lady and really tries to help when she can. but i never got above a C on any of the tests, i tried really hard to study and read the book. but the notes and the test questions didn't match up very well. she repeated herself alot. and does give you some extra credit. i was never really clear if attendance was mandatory.

She's a very sweet and funny teacher. Easy, straight forward tests. She tests more out of the book than people will lead you to believe, though. It's and easy class, but I found it too easy because the lectures were incredibly slow making me very agitated and antsy (we often spend about 50 mins on 2-4 slides on Power points reaching 20+ slides).

Took this class online and it was alright. The homework assignments and forums are super easy. The tests weren't that bad either. You are suppose to buy the book but I didn't and I got full marks on all my homework and the forums. I didn't study AT ALL for the tests and I got high C's on them. If you study it'll be a breeze. I ended with a B.

Garner is awesome, she speaks with clarity, nothing fastidious yet everything precise. Her test can be tricky but study the material and you will do fine. The book was a waste of money so I turned mine in early. You had to have 900-1,000 points to get an A and I finished with 899, but she gave me the 1 extra point anyways for being a good student!

Dr. Garner is great! Beware all who don't like to attend class and study. You NEED to pay attention to the PP's and study them. Tests are not easy, but they do get easier by the 3rd test. The final is cumulative so it takes a lot of work, but she is very helpful and wonderful! Take the class if you want a challenge and want to have a good time!

I love Mrs. Garner and so did others in my class. She is fun, energetic, and makes powerpoint slides interesting. Others thought the test were hard, but just study the notes and book and you'll be sure to make at least a B! She's always willing to help, made it out with a 96!

I loath psychology, yet she leaves me interested in learning more about it. She knows her field, genuinely cares for her students, and is passionate about bridging gaps between the two. A natural performer, her mannerisms alone make the course worth every minute and dollar invested in it. She's good (and she knows it).

Very nice teacher if you show up to class and try and visit her during office hours you are guaranteed 400 out of 100 points she is very willing to work with you YOU just have to try in class if you do you will pass with flying colors you show up just for a prereq and don't care you may not do to well.

Good teacher. She doesn't let you slide on stuff, but is completely fair. She is very clear on what is due when and what she is expecting. Great class, really enjoyed it.

Very enthusiastic and engages the class. Also very approachable. Her class prepares you for higher level courses. Has a significant writing component as opposed to other classes but the content and topics are always very interesting.

I took her for Psychology of Women thinking it would be an easy A. The class is not what I expected but she is a GREAT teacher. She is very funny and laid back. She does have writing assignments but they are fairly easy. She does not take attendance, but gives random in class assignments. All around a great teacher, but you do have to do the work.
