She is a very nice and kind teacher who will help you when you need it. However, she is a very harsh marker. Moreover, she is very strict on grammer and whether you are clear and concise. The last assignment and final are easy! gdluck if you take her~^^

not the easiest marker but not too hard.. easy to get a B range mark if you put decent effort in..hard to get an A. Picky with grammar..not very many assignments or long readings so thats a plus! ..very helpful teacher.. gives participation/attendance/quiz marks which is good.

She's nice, but her lectures are a bit boring. She doesn't have much to say on the texts,and expects the students to carry the class discussions, which is fair, but aren't we paying for her vast knowledge on the subject matter? I would have liked to hear more of what she thought. She's a pretty tough marker as well, but relatively fair I suppose.

good english teacher. everyone says thats she's super picky about grammar ... what do u ppl except this is an english course .. if ur grammar sucks then u get a bad mark simple as that. she's pretty funny and seems like she enjoys being there. word of caution .. don't skip out on her class when u have to hand in an assignment .. she'll give a quiz

She is a nice teacher, always friendly and smiling. Her classes are bearable, she usually has some fun coversations (non school related) during class to lighten things up. She is a relatively fair marker, although she does seem to pick favorites and doesnt like slakers. Other than that she is a very nice person, best english teacher at Kwantlen.

Wow! shes the best engl teacher i ever had. A fair marker and a very nice lady. In fact english is my weakest subject but luckily i had Elizabeth! Gives easy pop quizes for easy marks. Took this course in the summer as an accelerated session and ended up with an ok grade. Take it with Elizabeth!! You wont regret it!!

Wonderful teacher. You can not imagine how wonderful she is. On the first day of class, we were talking about how much we hated English, and after 3 sessions, we talked about how much we love English. You must attend her class and read the material she gives you to read in order to do well. She's helpful when you need extra help as well. Sweet lady.

Elizabeth's great! She's extremely helpful- she re-read an essay I thought was unfairly marked and she sat down with me to go over a different essay before it was due. Helped me raise my grade from a C+ to a B+

I agree that Elizabeth is a very friendly teacher. I got a really low mark in my first essay but I improved as the course goes. She gave quite useful feedback so that you can learn to avoid your previous mistakes. The final was a bit of a rush, and the literary works were not explained thoroughly, as it was a 3-hour class, only held once a week.

Nice teacher, but you have to show up and do your work, essays are fair, quiz's and exams are fair.

I got a D in my previous English class with a different proff, but this summer with Gooding I got a B! I found her suprisingly fair in her marking she is one of the easier english profs at Kwantlen for sure. I dont know why others gave her such low marks, if you do the work decently you can get a C+ no problem.

TAKE THIS CLASS! I was horrible at english but knew i had to take this class for my degree. Elizabeth is so helpful and very positive. English classes at Kwantlen can be sort of intimidating but she was very encouraging and helped me so much with my writing skills.

Good prof! Willing to help you if you want to be. Fair. Treat her fairly and she will do the same. People that don't like her just wanted an easy grade. You need to put the work in and if you do, you will be rewarded.

Elizabeth genuinely cares about her students and wants you to do well. There are a few assignments and initially it may feel overwhelming but, over the semester she fully prepares you for them. The assignments are reasonable and she is a fair grader. I would definitely take her again! I got a C+ is Eng1099 and in her class I managed to get a B+.

Elizabeth is the best English 1100 prof in KPU. She takes her time to know her students and helps them in many ways. The comments she leaves on the papers are very helpful and her grading system is pretty clear. Very easy to get high marks on her class if you put in effort and communicate with her.

Elizabeth is a good prof for english I am happy I took 1100 with her. My essays got a lot stronger throughout the semester. If you put in the effort you can get a decent mark. However it is english so I did go into this with the mindset if I get a C I am happy because english has never been my favourite subject. Elizabeth is caring and helpful.

Elizabeth is a professional instructor. She prepares class ready all the time and tries to help you improve your English skills as possibly as she can. After I took her class, my grade jumped from C- to B- and I would like to thank to her for her help and glad to sit in her class.

Such an amazing prof. I took her for both my ENGL classes. There is quite a bit of work, but it's manageable. She stays after class during the class if you need help with your assignments. she gives great feedback, and overall pretty easy. ENGL 1100 ENGL 1202

Elizabeth is a kind, smart prof who truly cares about your success. Her modules are interesting and unique compared to other English courses I've had, while her grading is amazing and actually follows the criteria she gives you. With Elizabeth, you can grow as a writer without feeling scared of bias or judgement.

I took her asynchronous online class this semester. She is very detailed and breaks down the assignments, so everyone know for sure what to expect. She also provides detailed feedback. I would recommend taking her class for sure.

Prof. Elizabeth Gooding is a GOOD prof. I took a class by her back in Spring 2021 for Animal Literature (Asynchronous), and it was amazing! The course load was very light, as there are a couple of pop quizzes every other week, and the readings were light. Forum postings are mandatory, though. Prof. Gooding is one of the best Eng. profs at KPU!

Let me tell you, I suck at English but Elizabeth made this course feel so welcoming and engaging. All the readings and weekly forums were interesting and she's very clear with what she's expecting on essays and assignments. She gives great feedback. As long as you put in the work, you'll be fine!

Best English prof, if you are not good at English then you will have to work hard but she is such a caring prof. she will help through everything. she is good with deadlines and no midterm just one final. gives really good feedback and wants you to learn and do good

If you do not follow it to the absolute letter, you will not get a good grade. she gives valuable and insightful feedback which I have applied to my other course writings. She chooses interesting material for her course and is helpful when you ask for it. Exams were heavier than I expected but were overall fair.

Absolutely amazing person outside of the fact that she was pro kamala smh she trippin. All assignments are easy although it is a writing class and if you dont write to her exact specifications you won't score very high. Her class was although nice and she cares about how her students are doing overall great prof.

prof is a little bit of a tough grader but overall nice. gives 15min break in class and is forgiving if you are late. stick to the criteria and u can do good but she is a bit picky. understanding about first year and provides support one on one during break. final was not too bad and no midterm.
