Attendance was required, but she wasn't very good about taking it. Very helpful. If you did your homework on time and paid attention in class you got an A. Very easy. She sometimes had a hard time controlling the class. But it was her first class ever...so she's bound to get better. Definitely recommend.

The tests were way harder than the homework, which made the class difficult. She knew this so would give tons of extra points, and wanted us to get a good grade. She was not organized. But she really wants everyone to pass, so she does everything possible to make that happen.

Elizabeth is a really fun tprofessor for a math class, I had really hard time passing this class and with her I passed it with her, lots of mymathlab homework but she is a good teacher I recommend her.

Hawkins is awesome. Yes she does use the book a lot, but this is my fourth time taking Stats and if I can pass anyone can. She is helpful and really nice. If you have questions you have to speak up and ask for clarification. Honestly if you show up and try your hardest you will pass the class.

I was in the same 2020 class as the other reviewer, and attended every class. Chooses students to hate? What? Her grading is not subjective, do the homework, take the tests, that's your grade. Yes, this is a hard math class, but I did great, and had to study hard. She is not the best, but not the worst teacher I've ever had.

She was really good at getting the class to participate. She followed the syllabus and gave opportunity for test corrections. Math is usually really hard for me, but she took the time to show me what steps I was messing up on. She even gave formulas and stayed after class to help students. Math 1050 Summer Block Class was harder than I thought. If I could take it again I would take it from Professor Hawkins but during a regular Semester. I learned a lot but had to drop out because of my work schedule.

Hawkins is an amazing professor for a subject that is very difficult. She teaches in a way that makes sure everyone gets it before she moves on so no one is confused. She really helps out with exams by testing on questions we learned from doing our homework. Very friendly and easy to follow.

I loved Professor Hawkins as a person, she was extremely sweet and caring with her students. I was doing really well in her class but due to COVID-19 things got a lot more difficult. I spent hours trying to understand the material and the tests took me about 4 or 5 hours to do even with open notes. I learned a lot, but it was hard.

Next semester, I plan to take a calculus course, but will be taking that in person. I'll also be continuing to work towards my degree and have a statistics course that I will take after I complete calculus.

Basic ALEKS based math course. Do your homework, do the quizzes. The tests are what really matter in this class. I recommend setting aside 4-5 hours one night when the exams are due, knock out all the review subjects in a row, get them down, and then immediately hop into the tests. I got 95% on all the exams except the final using this method.
