Bio exams = AP exams.....hard hard hard....but a fun teacher otherwise....materia is from both book and notes although she says it's only from notes.

not a bad class if u like bio...if uve taken ap bio ull have no prob passin the class wit an A..shes very smart and i would say fairly easy.

she's pretty cool. exams aren't that bad as long as you pay attention in her lec classes. and make sure u do attend all of them otherwise your gonna get lost.

The material might be boring but she makes do. Easy going in this class, as opposed to others from what I hear. Tests are multiple choice and pretty fair.

Her tests are in the exact order of the notes that she gives during her lectures. If you take good notes, pay attention, and understand her diagrams you'll be fine. For a pretty early class, she manages to grab my attention and she's funny.

Fair teacher, though if you study & follow the lecture notes and read the book you should be fine, shes pretty clear with her notes, though exams can be tricky and mess you up. Other then that you actually learn from her exams.

just don't miss class, take good notes, and study your Notes!! you'll pass the class if you study your notes fully... her tests are all multiple choice...she usually drops your lowest grade.

This prof is not hard at all, TRUST ME!!She is a good prof. All of her exams are from her lecture notes and she doesnt give anything that she does not talk about. If you take her notes you'll do an A+ job. U have to go to every single of her class!

You HAVE to pay attention in class. She is happy to help u at office hours. Lab can be a bit tricky. Dont get lazy and expect to study 2 days before and get an A. Very fair n fun professor.

Her exams are TRICKY!! 50 multiple choice. Even if you do go to all the classes, you'll still end up reading the whole damn book!! Labs are OK. Non-Bio majors are screwed, because this class is for BIO majors! I have to give her points for coming to every single class even with a broken leg!!

If you are a good note taker, you will learn a lot.

Don't bother getting the book, just take GOOD notes...exams are tricky so be prepared!

loved this professor. her notes are very clear, just go to every single class and take very good notes. you don't really need the book bc what she teaches in lecture is very similar to the book. her exams are tricky, but you'll get an A if you keep up. lab is easy.

She is one of my fav. prof. Her notes are excellent and I love the way she teaches. If you can take neat and clear notes, you will do well. You really really don't need the book unless you don't know what she's talking about. Very good prof.

Take good NOTES! Forget about the book...she reduces the material to the things she wants you to know...do well on all exams, its hard to pick up once you F- up on one of them...getting an "A" should be easy...

I loooved her. no seriously u just go to EVERY lecture (even though it is at 8:30 in the morning) and take great notes...study the notes very well i mean very very well...and u will be fine. I did tht and i never opened the text and got over a 90 on every test i ever took from her. and she is funny...odd sense of humor..very liberal. i enjoyed it.

she is the most easiest professor ever...go to class take notes..don't even bother opening the book..the day before teh exam just review her notes for at least an hour and guaranteed 80 on her exam!! she's sort of funny but her lectures aren't that bad..!!

Not an easy prof. Don't listen to the crap such as "the easiest prof" and all the other stupid sh--" ALL u need to do is read the notes, you will learn a lot but expect exams that will not make ur life easy!

She wasnt thaaat easy. All you need to do is tke notes or bring a tape recorder to class then take notes from that. Her exams were normal. All from her notes. I never bought her text book and still did well.

Her first exam was tricky..after that it wasnt so bad. As long as you write down everything she says and study that it shouldnt be so bad. Her lectures arent bad at all... she's kind of funny actually.

I heart Hotaling. If u can take notes you get an A. If u do crossword puzzles in class, you won't get an A.

Good teacher, funny jokes. Likes to draw pics on the board. If you write down EVERYTHING she says, you will be fine. Exams are somewhat tricky, you really have to read the questions a couple times.

I've had her for Bio 101/102. She is a college professor. She is extremely intelligent and lectures with great humor and tries to have you visualize what is going on. And she definitely goes by her notes, however, they are reinforced by the text. So if the question is real indepth you had better read the text. I'd take her for any science class.

She's great.. i don't care what anyone says. If you take her notes and study then you'll be fine. People can't expect to get an A if they don't go to class.. this is college kids. She's really smart and funny too.

she was okay. she based her tests mostly on her notes. she did put some hard questions on the tests that I never heard her say in class. as long as you take good notes, and skim the text you should do well

go to every lecture and take notes!! i liked her teaching style.. just write down everything she wrote on the board and anything u think is important that she says and then study that -- you'll pass.. not the easiest teacher u have to put in some work but i've had her 3 times already and i'd take her again.. haha

all you have to do is go to class and write good notes, her exams are easy, straight from the notes but she says 100% is from her notes but its a lie, maybe 95% she'll ask a few questions that she never mentioned in class, but overall good teacher, she can get alittle boring and monotone but her notes are good~!sometimes funny

If you hate reading textbooks, she's the one for you. I haven't opened my textbook since I got it. If you have poor notetaking skills, you might want to take a different professor though because ALL of her exams are from her lectures. She won't write everything down on the board; you gotta digest everything as she lectures. Highly recommended.

If your good at going to class and taking notes youll get an A. Strait forward and has a sence of humor. I learned alot, she's encouraging

just read her notes, thats it, how much more do you need to here from me. READ HER NOTES, TAKES NOTES, AND LISTEN IN CLASS..and also try to say good morning to her all the time. however, do not ask questions. she will hit you with an attitude you will not believe

No book use and tries to be clear on what she teaches. Doesn't play catch up when class is cancelled. Tests ONLY what she lectures. Make flash cards and you're in the clear. If you take good notes and just write down what she says, there is no reason how you can get worse than a B. People who get lower grades just don't study. I got an easy A

im an NJIT student majoring in bio, and she is one of the greatest professors ever.... just take notes and study straight from them, and you will be fine.... she is great.... "What makes great sex?"......MEIOSIS.....

At first she seems stern but she is really warm and funny. You should definitely attend class. Exams are based from her lectures. You can do without the book but it's helpful at times just for clarification. It's not a hard class but you have to study a lot. Buy colored pencils/pen, they'll come in handy. Really great professor!!

Had here for the last section of bio 101. Go to class, copy down everything she writes and says. That's it. Study before the exam and you're good. I studied for 3 hours and got an A+ on her exam. She get's angry at questions so don't ask unless it's important.

There is some truth to the review below. Her voice can be monotone but she has her funny moments where she starts mimicking animals. The asking questions part is untrue, I have asked her numerous questions in and out of class and she always answered without any condescending remarks, sometimes saying that's a good question. It's an easy class

I have her for both CVA & Mammalian Physiology this semester. Yes: her voice is monotone, notes are old-school (hand written, "oh no")/can get messy & exams may be difficult. HOWEVER she's hands down my absolute favorite professor. She's hilarious - her humor is dry & sarcastic. If you get confused, go to her- she'll be more than happy to clarify.

Had her for field ecology and this is the easiest biology class I've ever taken. In class its had to understand what she's talking about but if you go to her in person-she's an encyclopedia of bio.
