I just finished taking Microbiology in 7 weeks. We covered 16 chapters and I can honestly say that I learned more in her class then I have in any other. She is a wonderfull teacher and I would highly recomend her to any one taking Biology.

Great teacher!! She goes through all the notes in class and tell you what to highlight and know for the tests. It's not easy, but she does a good job teaching! Each week there is a lab quiz of 5 questions she tells you what to know the week before.

Her personality and obvious personal interest in the success of her students, come through loud and clear. It almost makes learning about DNA and bacteria fun. Upon completion of this class you will never forget to wash your hands again!!

She is a great teacher. All of her test information comes from her notes and the CD-Rom. If you study the information and what she tells you is going to be on the test you are sure to get a good grade.

One of the easiest science professors I have taken.If you study her notes really well,you'll get a perfect score on her test. No need to buy a book.If she was teaching another science class I would definately take her again. She's the BEST!

I must say first that I took this class during summer. There was a lot of material and very little time. I got a B in her class. The tests are difficult but not impossible. Test material comes from lecture notes and practice CD.

Wonderful! You must study the notes VERY WELL. I got an A, but it was a lot of studying. Stay on top of work the minute she assigns it or you will be sorry. Test 4 is poorly written, make sure you know all the info. Most of the class failed it. She is always willing to give extra help just ask.

You will see "germes" in a different way after taking Micro with her. Hard subject, but interesting. Lots of notes!! Dr. Ingram really does care about her students - I was ill during her class (missing 3 straight classes including a test) - she called me at home to see what was going on and when I would be back, what I missed in class, and what I needed to do in order to pass the class. Very interesting professor. Teaching style is interesting and rather interactive. She uses overheads, videos, graphic images, CDs, the internet and other things as tools for teaching. Ingram's labs are especially interesting. She is very difficult, though, and studying is a must!

At first I had to get used to the class way the class was ran.She gives a test with each lab. 5 lecture quizzes. 2 practicals. The 2 practicals are the same amount of points as all 5 exams so if you are a hands on learner you will do well.Honestly she is a sweet woman and loves microbiology my advise is before check out the faulty page.

She makes class fun and interesting...even though some of the material is not the most interesting. I would recommend her to ANYONE.

She gives her notes to you at the beginning. Expectations are clearly outlined. She gives EC and is very personable. Gives great examples and stories to make you relate. Lab was cool too. She has made me think about a major in microbiology

My absolute favorite teacher at Valencia. Shes so much fun and helpful! Shes very personal and on your side, she wants you to succeed! The class is not easy by any means but she makes it easy to understand. I 100% recommend taking her. Her labs are fun as well!

Dr. Ingram makes Micro really interesting. Objectives and expectations are clear for class and lab. It is a difficult subject but she gives you the info you need to make a good grade. If you need help she is willing to help. Put in the time and effort and you will pass.

Awesome teacher! She returns emails within a few hours of you sending them which is very helpful. If you just study the notes she gives you, you will do fine. The lab practicals were also pretty decent as well.

Prof Ingram is a wonderful teacher. She is always ready to assist you if you are falling behind and never makes anyone feel dumb. The class is definitely hard, but if you keep up with studying and follow her directions, you should be fine. Little to no E.C.,so get help early if you need it. All said, if you must take this course, you will want her.

You will need TIME. This isn't a show up and pass class. Best piece of advice I can give is know the lab quiz material. When studying always review the quiz material you already know it will come back to hurt you if you don't know it. The subject is hard but you wont find a better teacher.

She gives great pre-written class notes that are bolded on info she tests on. If you have any ?s go to her office and she will answer them ALL. I wish more teachers were like her!

Nice but her class is super hard like im sure any other micro class is. She goes over notes quickly. 1st test she gives u some puzzles to study. Don't bother. Use book as reference. Tests based solely on notes. Bolded and Nonbolded appear on tests. Take Quizzes seriously-they add up. EACH Lab Practical 200pts. FLASHCARDS all the way. Lab Practical 2 tip: Google Images the Media bc half of LP2 is based on visual recognition of chem reactions.Other half is Lab Exercise questions & review sheet. I got an A.

She is a great teacher and is always reachable for questions. All tests are based on her notes, so all you need to do is memorize them. She emails you study material for the tests and tells you exactly what you need to know...with no surprises...I worked hard, got an A, and learned a lot. Lab quizzes every week and she gives extra credit.

Took clsas is summer A, which was a lot of work. I studied her notes and used to book as needed for better understanding. You have to be prepared for her test because some of the questions are tricky. Dr. Ingram is a wonderful teacher and makes learning micro fun! Not much extra credit.

She doesn't return your tests, just give a little time to look over it, not enough. You don't know what you got wrong on the tests so you never learn from the mistakes. She might use the same tests over and over again. I love her teaching but the way she keeps my tests, it really matter to me.

Dr. Ingram is an awesome teacher. By far one of my favorites.. Everything she says she will test you on is true. She is fair and helpful. Very knowledgeable. Lab time is as simple as following her directions. There is a quiz at the beginning of each lab, however she also gives you a review with all the answers prior to. She made the class fun!

For anyone that needs this class take her, she really cares for her students learning & bascially gives you all the material you need, LP2 was easier than LP1, for LP2 the study guide is all you need but for LP1 read the lab manual too study guide somewhat helpful. Sweet lady & very helpful, answers any question you have immediately. MCB is not an easy class but she gives you a study packet (16-18 pg's long) for 4 test, + a final. 2 LP's worth 2 test grades (this gave me the opportunity to make up my horrible test scores!) Her LP are easier than lecture test! 10pt quiz every lab(easy). Def. Take her!

Mrs.Ingram is very good at what she does, Micro is not an easy subject so don't think you can miss class and expect to get a passing grade. I came to all lectures and ended up with a B, you have a total of 5 exams, 2 lab practicals and a little extra credit is offered. She is amazing! She gives you typed notes which are where the tests questions come from. You know exactly what to study for with both lecture and lab quizzes/practicals. She makes it really easy to understand. Anybody that says this class is impossible or really hard is lazy. She rocks!

Took hybrid class. Lots of work, but you WILL learn. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. Labs are interesting, but they are long. If you attend lab, practicals should be no issue. If you choose hybrid, keep up with the assignments. You will get way behind and be sorry. If you keep up.....you should do well.

Took the hybrid course.hard class.powerpoints helped but did not cover every thing for lecture test.her recorded lecture only helps a little.i suggest reading the text also.lots of online hw but WILL help ur overall grade.lab practicals r easy, a good way to improve ur grade.weekly lab quizzes and 6 journals about microbe.got an A at the end.

Took the summer hybrid course. Expect to work hard for your grade, it is Science after all so dedication is a must. Dr. Ingram is an amazing professor, she responds to emails quickly, long labs but they are super interesting.If you dedicate time, read the power points and the book you will pass. Mrs Ingram is a wonderful teacher! The hybrid class requires alot of online hw, which helps your grade! She provides study guides for tests/practicals/quizzes, so you know what to stufy for. Labs are simply following her directions, so everyone is on the same page, and is always willing to help her students! Seriously take her!

Doctor Ingram is a wonderful teacher! She made everything very clear. I wish I could tell you the material is easy but the truth is you have to study your butt off if you want an A or B. She has a quiz before every lab discussion posts every 2 weeks that are a little difficult. 2 assignments a week and the lab practicals are tough.

Professor Ingram is absolutely incredible! Microbiology is not an easy subject and you WILL have to study, however, she gives you all the tools you need to succeed in her class. She lets you know everything that will be on quizzes/tests, no surprises. If you don't do well, you're not trying hard enough because professor Ingram is extremely fair.

Dr. Ingram is awesome. She is very intelligent and she really cares about her students, and this is why I recommend her. I am almost finished with the semester and so far I have an "A". BUT NOTE: This is a very time consuming class, so be careful about which other classes you have scheduled with this class during the semster.

Very nice and helpful. Sends out reminders each week about assignments that are due. Adds random extra credit to some of the quizzes. All in all I would definitely take her class again!!

There are online hw assignments, so book is nec bc of it. Lecture and lab quiz every week. The lab "homework" is actually ec. She gives lec. notes. She's extremely intelligent, and she cares so much about her students. Its a hard course (duh!) but she is a phenomenal professor and I assure you, if you pay attention you will not only pass but learn.

What a breath of fresh air! Lectures are made fun, Labs go quick, and she gives a 1 lab quiz and one lecture quiz every week. They are short 5 question quizzes worth 10 points and they help so much. She even sends you study guides for each one! She gives you lecture notes for each unit, which is what I studied for the tests. Best professor I've had

I took Professor Ingram for not only microbiology but for A&P 1 as well and I would take her again if I could! I took both classes at the same time (be warned most students can't get A's this way) and she's by far the best science teacher I have had at Valencia. if you are taking microbiology and not with her, I feel bad for your loss and your gpa.

Wonderful!! Direction in lab is crystal clear. She has everyone doing the same thing at the same time so she knows it's done correctly. If you have trouble on practicals, it's because you didn't understand the biochemical test results or didn't study. Keep up w online HW or you will get behind. Exams are tough, but doable with good studying.

I really loved taking her, the way she lectures is amazing I learned so much in this class. It is a lot of work and she is a meticulous grader but the tests and quizzes are never a surprise it's just a lot of material. Homeworks helped. She offers extra credit. Do it. Pay attention class and be involved. She makes micro really interesting.

I took this class during the spring as a hybrid course, prof. Ingram is great! She is very clear on what she expects on assignments and labs. Very helpful, test can be tough if you don't study the power points. Also a good tool to use is the online textbook study site. Many test questions are worded from multiple choice quizzes. Ended with a B.

An amazing professor!!!!!!! Took her microbiology class. You always know what to study, and what she expects from you. No surprises, everything according to the syllabus. I am a foreign student and got A+ in class. Of course you need to study what she gives you, but everything is so clear that it is not difficult to study if you put effort to it.

Very helpful, kind, and cares about her students. She gives a quiz every class - but you have clear directions on exactly what to study, so I viewed this as a bonus to get my grade up, not a penalty. Tests were difficult, but if you study (she gives a good guide) you can do well. Not an easy class, but that's the nature of A&P, not her teaching

I had this class online and had to go to a lab once a week to meet. It was super easy online, all of the homework and quiz questions come from the textbook which is essential to get an A, she also assigns "medical scenario" papers but you can get all the information you need from the book. She's super sweet and nice, I would gladly take her again.

This professor is incredible. Super clear, organized, nice, always there to help you... If you are looking for a EXCEPTIONAL Microbiology professor, take her without thinking it twice.

She truly is a helpful teacher. Her powerpoint however are very detailed so study that and use the textbook as backup. Her exams are HARDDDDDD. She doesn't give extra credit so you have to work you butt off on those exams. i got a low C :( and tried my hardest. I took her b/c my friends all got A's i'm not sure what happened with her this semester.

Excellent college level professor! She really loves what she does. She sends text reminders for homework and journal entries. She moves fast, but all the information you need is in the book and lab manual. THIS CLASS IS NOT FOR CRY BABIES. You will learn a lot, but you will need to put in the time! Tests are tuff, but if I can get an A so can you!

So, in the beginning of the semester you will be really stressed out because you won't know what's going on. Dr Ingram gives out the notes and as long as you learn the notes you will go well. There is a lot of information to learn making it a difficult class. The lab portion is very fun and you will work closely with your group. Would take again.

Her tests are strictly from her power points, she gives lab quizzes every lab day, but she gives you the "lab quiz study guide" the first day of class with exactly all the information that is gonna be on each quiz. The quizzes are only 5 questions and she gives a mini review before the quiz. Only 3 lecture tests 50qts. and 2 lab practical 50qts.

This class is not easy, but it makes a huge difference when you have an instructor who cares. Tests are difficult, she gives study guides and chapter notes. She gives you all the resources you need. It is ALOT of memorization you have to study. She is easy going and very willing to help with any questions. Very kind, cares about her students.

10 lab quiz worth 100 points (every week) 2 LP worth 400 points( most of them from lab quizs) lecture quiz and homework online everyweek . 5Lecture test (Everything is on the lecture note) She gives study guide, you know what to study .

Please do not listen to these negative comments about Professor Ingram. She is the best micro professor you could take. I got a B in her class but that was only because I was absent quite a bit and missed the quizzes. She always goes over the quiz material right before taking it, extremely easy! She's genuine and loves watching you succeed

Dr. Ingram is an amazing professor. I have no idea what all the neg reviews are about. Micro is hard & this is college. If you can't handle it, you should re-think your career path. Dr. Ingram is extremely helpful, grades quickly & responds to questions super fast. Study bold print in the notes and you will do fine. Best micro teacher at Valencia!

Excellent professor. She will guide you step by step on classroom class or lab. If online, the lecture part is mor challenging due to difficult tests but if you read all powerp and listen to her on her powerp presentations, you are going to be successful. She answers emails/texts within the hour and labs are easy, like, she guide you step by step

Dr. Ingram is of the best professors I had at Valencia. She is really passionate about what she teaches. If you study her notes, you can do well on her tests. Lab Tests are extremely HARD. I would definitely recommend her class.

A&P is hard in itself, not bc of the prof. She is a genuinely kind woman who cares about her students' success. Texts due date reminders to us. Small quizzes every class are really easy bonus points. Tests come from the BOOK. YOU MUST READ to thoroughly understand concepts. Classmates and I are super bummed she doesnt do A&P 2. FANTASTIC PROFESSOR!

Professor Ingram is really sweet and a great professor. This is a difficult class. It's the nature of the material, not the professor. Test questions are from either the notes (she provides), homework, or online power points. She is always available and very helpful if you have any questions. Be prepared to put in the work. Gives extra credit.

If you're not up to actually study and work hard for this class, then good luck trying to find someone else in Valencia that will give you what you need if you're going into the medical field. She'll give you answers before quizzes and the exams are from notes, quizzes, and online homework. Study those and you'll be fine. Labs are cool.

I like to rate my Professor at the beginning of the semester AND the end. With just a few weeks into class, she lets you know right off the bat that this is definitely a class that you have to work for. With any science class, this is true. She is very sweet, intelligent, and helps you in any way she can. Definitely buy the book and READ/STUDY!!

Excellent professor. She is very clear about what you need to study. Know her powerpoints and memorize the required pathogens and you'll breeze through. Great sense of humor. She sets you up to succeed if you want to!

She's is AWESOME in so many ways! The class is not easy but she makes it fun and interesting. She different ways of teaching, like visual, hands in training and writing (Pre-labs). If you really work for it you will get a good grade, I did not put a lot effort and I had a high B. She always provides Study guides and if there is time review it.

I got an A in this class, but you definitely need to study! Her first 2 exams are very difficult and then it gets a little better! Attend all classes for extra credit at the end of the semester and READ all notes! She is a very understanding and caring professor! Not the best at teaching, study the notes on your own or in a group.

AWESOME PROFESSOR. she works hard for her students, she provides you with everything you need to know on every test and quiz. This does not mean you dont have to work for it, but she makes it as easy for you as she can. Funny, adorable and by far my favorite teacher yet.

You would be INSANE to take any other Micro teacher at Valencia. She is the best because of how detailed her notes are. You can studt her notes and never look at the book and pass the tests. You have to work to get an A, but its not back breaking.

BEST science professor I have ever had! She made learning the material fun, gave study guides, and made sure everyone knew the material before moving on. Her lab was a little more difficult but you learn A LOT. I absolutely loved her class and would take her again in a heartbeat!!!

I absolutely adore Professor Ingram. She is by far the best influencer. She is very kind, and caring but also very eager to teach the material that is needed to succeed in your future endeavors. She has a lot of experience and you would be insane not to take her. I wish she taught A&P 2 as I would take her again in a heart beat.

Took as a hybrid class. Won't do that again!! She is very nice and approachable. She knows her stuff, and makes sure you know it also. Gives lots of help and EC. I will definitely be taking her again for Microbiology. It's unfortunate she does not teach AP2. You won't be disappointed if you choose her class!! Definitely recommend!!

She is definitely a good professor. Micro is hard itself so there is no way you can get an easy A or B. Prepare to read and actually study. Lots of homework but as long as you spend time you will get full credits out of it. Unit test is not easy but it is possible to get at least a B if you spend time and know the stuff.

In the beginning of the semester i wasn't a fan, but definitely recommend her now. Micro is hard so you have to work hard and study hard. There are quizzes every week but it helps your grade a lot. Study the notes, power points and connect homework questions and you'll do good on the tests. Work hard and you can easily get and A or B. Great Prof!

The hardest part for this class are the unit tests. Even you have read the textbook and powerpoint there is not guarantee that you can get an A. But lab midterm and lab final are easy though. I only missed two or three questions on both of them. The key is that make sure you study for every lab quiz every week and understand the labs purposes.

Awesome Teacher! This is my 2nd class with her, and sad I do not need anymore! Very nice, and caring. Microbiology is not an easy class by any means, but she makes it manageable. Gives Extra Credit, so that helps with the grades. Tests and Lab Practicals are pretty straight forward. Would definitely recommend her to anyone!!

Professor Ingram is a phenomenal professor. She is caring, and wants her students to succeed. I am personally a student that prefers to have multiple assignments weigh grades. A lot of homework BUT it weighs heavy on your grade. If you study and put forth the effort you should, you will succeed.

Professor Ingram is an amazing teacher. She makes sure you understand the material and listens to your feedback on how she can help you and is very knowledgable. She also gives a lot of extra credit opportunities:). Micro is a hard class so obviously you still have to put in the work so as long as you're doing that you will pass this class.

Failed all test with Fs and Ds , passed both practical with high As and did all extra credit and ended with a B. No matter how much you study for lectures test they are difficult. Lab quizzes easy. Professor gets off topic but she is a sweet lady.

I took this class as a hybrid class and when we came to class we only did lab. You had to learn the other material on your own but she did EVERYTHING to ensure you are successful. Each test had a practice test that you could take multiple times and it was the same as the test, before the lab quizzes we reviewed all that was on the quiz.

I loved professor Ingram. Took the hybrid course and while there was work due every week it's def. possible to get an A. She is very clear in her expectations and gives study guides for everything. Lecture tests were super easy, and for the most part labs were interesting. I can't imagine another microbiology teacher being more straightforward.

Super easy class. Took the hybrid-lab was on campus. Practice tests for exams are the exact same questions for the exam. Lab quizzes are so easy, she reviews answers before. She walks you through every lab. EC on every quiz and lab questions are EC. She's very nice. Easy grader on the one paper due. Never used the book. Ended up with 102%.

This Professor is absolutely amazing. She gives you a CLEAR outline of what she expects the entire semester. Literally could not be any more clear. Her tests come straight from the practice tests. She literally is placing the A in front of your face but it is up to you to put in the work. Shes so sweet too.

This class is definitely not easy, but it is microbiology, so it should be complicated. Given that, I think that she made it as easy as possible. Homework is online, and you get unlimited attempts. Most of the test questions are in the practice quizzes, so study them. There is one practical, most of the questions are from lab manual.

She's easily the best professor I've had at Valencia. Her lectures are amazing, and her labs are very fun and interesting. She does make you work for your grade, and an A will not be easiest to achieve, but it's certainly possible with effort. Her study guides have everything you need to know for the exams, and the exams are very fair.

Great professor, very clear and organized. Makes lecture and labs very fun. Gives lots of extra credit. MCB2010 is not easy but she makes it understandable, and really cares for her students. She really want every to pass and extremely positive. Two lab practicals, 5 test and of coarse hw and quizzes. Use her notes to study for the test!!!!

Not an easy class but Ingram makes it as easy as she can while still making you learn. Gives study guides and the tests are directly from there. You have to put in the work but if you do, you will do well. She truly cares about her students success and gives out a lot of EC. TAKE HER you won't regret it. This class is in general a hard class. Ingram makes it a little easier and gives out little extra credit. If you do okay on tests & good on lab practicals you will pass. There are a lot of lab quizzes and lecture quizzes just be prepared to study.

I had the privilege to have Dr. Ingram for Micro this summer fully online and I have to say that she was incredible. She was always very kind, understanding, she would answer texts right away, and extremely encouraging. I got an A in her class because of a lot of help from my family and from the tutoring sessions. This class is no joke! STUDY!!!

I loved her so much. Microbiology is officially my favorite subject. I studied for the recommended 10-15 hours a week and got the highest grade on almost every exam. If you study, it is sooo extremely doable. Just schedule study time in your planner. Wish I could take this course with her again! Miss you Mrs. Ingram!

I made this just so I could tell everyone how amazing Professor Ingram is! I took her mixed-mode class. I was nervous about not doing it face-to-face but Professor Ingram was very clear about what she expected from you for the week so it was a breeze. She was very caring. Flashcards will be your best friend!! STUDY STUDY STUDY and you will be okay!

I was so nervous about taking microbiology. She made it so accessible and easy to comprehend. The quizzes were pretty easy for me, as long as you have good study habits you'll be fine. The Lab Practicals are pretty straight forward and as long as you do fine on the lab quizzes you'll do good on the lab practical. Take her!!! SHE IS AMAZING!

Microbiology itself is a difficult course with a lot of material that needs to be memorized. Professor Ingram is SO GOOD. You have to participate and do your end of the job to earn the grade you want but she will make sure you pass. I enjoyed her class so much and I learned A LOT. She makes micro fun and the work is do-able. You won't regret it.

She is very nice and she made microbio understandable. her exams were difficult but you honestly just need to study a lot outside of class. She gave us a weekly quiz in which she reviewed the material before the quiz. Her class was difficult and you have to study a lot but she is a really good professor. Get the book on time you will need it.

Dr. Ingram is one of the best science professors I have had! This was a challenging course but she made it easy to understand with multiple pre-lab assignments and readings. The tests were very straight forward and the lab practical reviews were so helpful!

Professor Ingram is amazing! She truly wants everyone to do well in her class. The tests are straightforward, and all media + pictures are on the canvas page. The more you read about the different media/cultures and participate, the better you will do in the class. Be prepared to spend a lot of time outside of the class reviewing the material.

Micro is tough no matter who you take, but she makes it manageable. She posts the info that shows up word for word on the quizzes, the unit tests come straight from the homework questions, and the practicals are based on what you've done in class. It can feel like a lot at times, but an A is definitely possible if you keep up. Just study = an A.
