Dr. J is THE MOST AWESOME professor I have ever encountered! Her enthusiasm, obvious love of children, teaching, and true caring are contagious. If you are looking for someone to truly model yourself after take a class (or more) with her. She is my hero.

She is one of the best teacher I have ever had. Her class was so much fun, and you learned a lot too. She is very relaxed and the class has little structure. She is excellent and if you get the chance take one of her classes.

Like everyone else says, she is the BEST professor you will ever have in the education department. After taking this class I feel so much more prepared to go into a classroom on my own. This was the most beneficial graduate course that I have ever had. Her knowledge of upper grades and what is required to be a teacher these days is invaluable. Her required readings are difficult--keep up on the readings throughout the semester.

WOW! It is a lot of work but a worth while class. Professor Johnson makes you think! It was a great learning experience! She really took me outside my box. I wish more professors were as alive as she is.

NOBODY else EVER focuses on this in Education and it is so important! She wants you to text, call, email, etc. her for ANYTHING you will ever need during college or after. What a lady!

Dr J was the best professor eastern has employed. she is creative, honest, and fair. She was encouraging and she talked alot about the kickapoo people. Take her you will love her many voices.

BEST TEACHER EVER! She will call you and let you call her if you need to. When working on your unit, don't be afraid to call her at midnight, because she WILL answer, and will spend an hour on the phone with you if you need it. I have never had a professor who cared more about the students rather than the salary, perks, etc.

No book, just easy to read coursepack. At first, I thought this class lacked structure. I was confused & frustrated, but soon realized Dr. J was trying to teach us that learning goes beyond completing the assignments. Itâ??s the experiences we learn that help us become better individuals & teachers essentially. I'm now a believer. DR. J, YOU ROCK!

I understand people who say she is a bit goofy and out there. Personally, that was coolest part of her, which made her funny, and the class fun and relaxed. She helps you out more than most professors, and she truly wants you to pass her class and do well after the semester is over. She is so awesome, I definitely don't regret taking her class.

Dr. J is hilarious and a very unique teacher. Her course is EASY but what makes it hard is her lack of structure and organization... BUT THAT IS GOOD! She gives you a chance to struggle a little and self correct your lessons the way you would as a real teacher instead of just giving you a cookie cutter rubric. Don't take her if you NEED structure

Dr. Johnson is very caring and helpful towards her students. This class is not very structured, but she is very flexible with deadlines. A lot of the work is done in class, so overall its not a bad class! Make sure you clarify your questions with her and you will be successful.

I have had the pleasure of being in Dr. Elizabeth Johnson's class and I can say she is indeed an inspiration who cares about her students. They say teachers can be superheroes and I believe she is one of them! Her lessons are innovative and engaging while being challenging enough to make you grow!

Absolutely loved Dr. J! She cares for her students deeply! During the pandemic, she was completely understanding of situations and allowed work to be turned in late. She was very clear on the instructions for each assignment and even posted Youtube videos of the exact directions and went over them in depth, in addition to zoom. The best!!!

Dr. Johnson is awesome. She truly cares about each student and their education. She gives you her cell number to text her outside of class. She gives extensions on assignments so you can complete them without stress. She gives outstanding feedback on all of your assignments. I have learned so much from her.

Extremely fun and easy professor. She is one for talking and keeping the class off topic some days. The directions for assignments are easy but can be a little confusing as to what she wants but she is open to all interpretations. She is very caring and wants the best for all her students now and forever.

Dr. Johnson is great, very funny, and is very flexible on assignments. My only complaint is that I'm not sure I learned a whole lot from this class. A lot of the time we do group activities that are fun, but just don't teach us a whole lot about educating.

Fun and as long as you try you get 100 no matter what. Also only 7 assignments that are all in class only with no homework, and if you miss one she will give you something easy to do in order to get the point back. Impossible to not finish with 100%

Dr J was so much fun! We usually did group activities in her class, she was fun to listen to, flexible with assignments, and easy to contact! It was worth waking up at 8AM for a 9-12 class, which she almost always ended an hour early! Choose her you won't regret it!
