She is hilarious and my favorite teacher yet! I never felt confident in my papers before, but she makes everything so easy and fun, plus she would let us out early if it was a nice day out. She's awesome!!

By far one of the best professors at DePaul. She makes class enjoyable and interesting. Her papers and assignments allow the student to show creativity, and she always welcomes re-writes should you want to. She also teaches Women's Studies.

She is a pretty good teacher although she does pick her favorites which affects the other students. She is a hard grader when it comes to the papers because that is the only assignment you get. 3 papers, 3 group projects. No tests, no midterm, no final.

I have also had Dr. Kelly for ISP 200 & PSC 230. She does assign a lot of reading, but it is all pertinent. She may be a tough essay grader, but allows unlimited rewrites! She cares about her subjects and her students. Take her if you appreciate enthusiastic, interesting, & memorable professors!!

Hard person to criticize, as I adore her personally. (She's my advisor.) She has an unending wealth of historical information and is a dynamic lecturer. But I'm unimpressed by the theoretical and analytical sophistication of her courses. Tends to adore but underestimate DePaul students and possesses a paternalistic attitude toward her "darlings."

She's amazing! She's so passionate about her teaching and very understandig if things come up. She's very knowledgable and I'm currently looking for another class to take of hers :)

Knitting was fun but at times she was mean to some students. she favors one studets over the other, but luckily, she favored me. if you were not favored, she was harsh and crical.

She was an amazing teacher all around. I loved her interest in the topic and her general concern to keep her students interested as well. I went to every class, because each one was a great experience - discussions, critical thinking. I think although she is a teacher that expects a lot from her students, it's still the best class I've had yet.

This professor is awesome and really smart (she went to Harvard). Be sure to read because she hates it when nobody reads. As long as you read and speak at some point you'll get an A. She offers unlimited rewrites so if you get anything less than a B it's because you're a retard.

She is my favorite professor at DePaul. She is not only a great teacher that really sucks you into the material of the class, she is also a great person who takes the time to get to know you on a personal level. She is a true role model for other teachers and I do look up to her.

Loved her! Witty, intelligent, easy, great speaker. She did pick favorites but u don't have to kiss her ass for her to like you. Just go to class and show ur interested. Beth Kelly is a great professor! She lets you redo all your assignments until you get the grade you want. I did not always agree with her point of view, in fact hardly ever, but it was still a great class. She is ALWAYS more than welcome to help you outside of class. If you have the opportunity to take one of her classes, take it!

Ms. Kelly cares about her students! She is also very intelligent and a good human being. When I first came to DePaul, she didn't even know me; nevertheless, she went out of her way to help me in any way that she could. Beth Kelly is truly a credit to DePaul University! She is an A+

By far the best Prof. I have ever taken. Every professor should be like her. There is plenty of discussion, and she lets you keep turning your papers/assignments in until you get the grade you want. TAKE HER CLASS--- you won't regret it!

This class was invaluable to me! Professor Kelly is amazing at explaining confusing material and spending as much time on a subject as the class needs. I wish all professors were as passionate about the topics they taught. 4 case briefs, 2 papers (which you can redo) and an optional final. I could go on forever about how amazing she is!

Dr. Kelly is incredibly smart. She demands asks that everyone has done the reading and prepared questions before class. There are 6 mini essays, 1 longer 5-7 pg essay, and a final project. Much of the criticism expressed here is unfounded. If you do the reading and participate you'll do great. She taught writing so submit quality papers.

I agree wholeheartedly, this woman is a living textbook. I highly reccomend for those who are interested in LBGTQ studies.

She is a great teacher. I took her over the summer session for Sex & Power in US Politics. There was a bit of reading, but we watched films every class that went over the readings. There were 3 papers (worth 30% each) and participation was 10% of the grade. She grades her papers fairly and allows re-dos. If you have the chance, TAKE HER CLASS!!!!

Beth Kelly is by no means an easy professor. She means business. Write quality papers and actively participate in class discussion. You will be sure to get a satisfactory grade. Intense amounts of reading, but she is an amazing professor.

She is quite particular and comes off a bit full of herself (professors tend to get like that sometimes). Also a bit rude, keeping in mind that our tuition pays her salary. But hey, she knows her stuff, and she loves sharing her knowledge with her students. Don't show up late; she gets a bit testy.

I have taken every class that Beth has taught over the past year. Not only is she knowledgeable, but she is very fair. Unlimited rewrites on your papers until you get the grade YOU want, and will meet with you to guide you. This is a professor who makes it possible for you to learn and succeed. Don't take her if you have a chip on YOUR shoulder.

She's not an easy teacher but she will work with you. It is almost very hard to fail her classes but not out of it being easy.

Don't know what the person below me's problem is, but Beth Kelly is one of the best professors I've had at DPU. There are unlimited, you heard me right unlimited, re-writes. Seriously, you have to try harder to fail that to get and A. I would absolutely recommend her if you're thinking about going to law school because you brief cases. Fantastic.

Beth Kelly is a fascinating teacher. I have taken multiple courses with her, and have learned so much. She is by far the best professor I have taken at DePaul, and I recommend her to everyone. Her teaching ability is superior, but she is very particular on how she grades papers. She allows rewrites, so just pay attention to her suggestions.

I don't understand all these hateful comments on her! She's never been rude, or degrading but this is an online class and I can't say anything about how she acts in person. She's not a difficult grader as along as you follow her instructions. Work load is average, and simple. For an online LSP requirement, I'd take her class again. No complaints!

Professor Kelly was awesome. She made research papers fun with the way in which we got to write them. She was always helpful, sure she's a tough grader but she wants you to do well. Her lectures are short and the movies are interesting. Sure the readings are long but that's nothing. I would definitely recommend her.

Okay, yes Dr. Kelly is extremely strict, but not extremely hard. She will tear you up on papers, but gives great feedback for unlimited rewrites, so be sure to put effort into rewrites and LISTEN to what she wants and an A is very possible.

She is one of the best professors I've had at Depaul. She is strict, but she knows her stuff, and is more accessible than most professors. If you do the work and pay attention you'll do well. She can be very condescending and has a lot of contempt for students. I recommend this class to anyone, especially if you're getting the LGBT minor

I really enjoyed this class. Professor Kelly's lectures were always informative and entertaining. The historical aspect is very honest and non-apologetic; I really appreciated that. I honestly think this class is so important and should be taken by everyone.

Dr. Kelly 's course is one of the toughest I've taken at DePaul. She is a really tough grader, assigns a lot of reading and expects things to be done a certain way. That being said, if you meet expectations and work hard she'll truly care about your work. She's extremely knowledgeable and truly inspirational. I would definitely take her class again

Don't let Dr. Kelly's type A personality scare you off, she is actually a very nice person. The work load is extremely reasonable, and people complaining about the papers clearly just struggle with writing This class requires a lot of writing, but if you can handle that you will be fine. Allows re-writes on all papers - a very generous policy! A+

I'm in the LSP200 online class right now it's not as bad as it sounds. Yes, there is a lot of work, but it's a 5 week class. Everyone in our class chooses to complain rather than do the work. She has been incredibly nice to me and I follow the MINIMUM requirements and haven't gotten anything lower than an A.

While the papers are difficult to write, they are not difficult to get an A on. Follow the instructions and you'll get an A. I wrote all of my papers the night before and got a 100% on all of them simply by following the instructions. Anyone complaining just didn't want to do any work. And you can keep rewriting until you get an A.

Dr. Kelly is an amazing instructor and organizes her online classes very well. 5 response papers (4 pgs min, 2x spaced), but you can resubmit any paper if you are unhappy with your grade. This is college. You are going to have papers. You have to put in the work to get the grade you want. I will take any class she teaches in the future.

I graduated from DePaul in 2003 and dearly miss this legendary luminary. Yes, her courses are challenging -- which means you get smarter, DUH! I felt like a fool my freshman year until Beth Kelly gave me my first and only A+ (which she mentioned was rare). Because of her, I continue to enjoy a professional writing career. Thank you, Beth!

Amazing teacher and the best ever!

The lectures were really interesting and she has a lot of experience with women's health. The quizzes and exams are hard but they're multiple choice so there's not any partial credit. There wasn't a lot of work to do and I learned a lot.

Great professor who is super experienced in the Nursing world. Always nice to get real-world stories of the topics we were learning about. Would recommend Professor Kelly to anyone!
