Liz is a very nice woman and she knows a lot about politics. The book isn't very interesting, but it could be worse. It's only a problem because it seems like you take the quiz at the beginning of every chapter as opposed to talking about it throughout the week and testing on it afterwards. I am satisfied with the class, though.

Was a very easy 3 credit class. Class was mandatory, though wasted. I didn't take notes nor pay attention and still received an A. Debate briefs were easy. All you had to do to prepare for the weekly quizzes was read around the highlighted words. She spent a lot of time talking about what was on the news. She was a very nice person. Easy A.

Since the class was asynchronous, it required me to read the textbook but her assignments are straightforward, her grading is very reasonable, and she gives excellent feedback. While the class is writing-heavy, she is great at explaining complex topics and cares about your learning.

Professor Klages is caring and flexible. The workload is not insane but sometimes it can feel like a lot. You probably don't need the textbook (study quizlet and take notes off of that for the weekly quizzes). The readings from the textbook are only used for that.

Prof Klages is pretty good. Very smart and sets up interesting assignments. It is quite a bit of work, more than you would think for a 3cr class. But otherwise, I can't complain. I learned a lot and ended up with a good grade. She is very kind and does want you to learn.

No tests, but lots of writing. Weekly questions from the text book and weekly current events discussions (super interesting though). Such an applicable class and I recommend to everyone. It was online so we didn't interact with Klages much, but it was interesting stuff she made us do. Do the work and you'll get an A

Ms. Klages is by far one of my favorite teachers at Normandale. Her class was engaging and fun to do. I found myself wanting to research the topic outside of class because she was able to make me very interested in it (the first time that has ever happened to me). The group project was very fun and interesting to do.

Liz is so chill and gives plenty of time for discussion posts/projects to get done as well as assignments. Although she does take a while to update the grade book, as long as you get the work done, you'll be fine! Second semester taking her, most likely taking her for the third time next fall!!

You will read every chapter of the textbook accept for one. Read the material. Use the quizzes from the end of each chapter to study, but do not trust the answer key in the back, there are a number of errors. She normally has at least two of the study questions on each quiz. 1 assignment and 1 quiz weekly.

Prof. Klages was extremely understanding. If you need to take this class for credit I reccommend doing so in a hybrid form and with her. She is really sweet and understanding when things come up. I forgot to take a quiz one day, and she reopened it for me to take. She was super awesome and I think that she is probably one of the best professors.

There is a quiz and a discussion or essay every week. She doesn't really teach. She just makes you watch a ton of 1hr documentaries. I write more in this class than I do in my College Writing class. Overall, this class is an easy A. The only way you would fail this class is if you don't turn anything in. Oh yeah, she takes FOREVER to grade.

Weekly quizzes on top of 1 discussion post or writing assignment. Quizzes were easy. Feedback was awful. At beginning, she would write a lot of feedback however none of it was beneficial to know what could be done better. Doesn't grade things for months, so at the end, was trying to catch up and left no feedback at all, but didn't give great grades

Liz was an outstanding professor. A quiz on the textbook chapter plus an additional homework assignment each week. She is a super nice grader if you read the rubric and follow instructions. I turned in some assignments while I was uncertain if I did it correctly and I still got a good grade on it. I recommend that you do the weekly quizzes, turn the assignments in on time, and attend class. That's what I did and I ended up getting an A.

I LOVE Liz! her lectures are fantastic and you learn a lot. You'll have to use the textbook a few times, but I got away with only referencing it during weekly quizzes and discussion board posts. Does take a while to grade, and doesn't offer EC. Is understanding w/ late work, but try not to fall behind bc you won't know your grade until the very end

Its one 10 question quiz on mondays then another assignment or discussion post for the rest of the week. No exams the final is an essay

Very difficult grader, especially on the things I spent hours on. We had a presentation to do that took me hours to do and she gave me a B+ on it when I thought I would get 100% on it as it looked better than anyone's in my classes in terms of information and presentation layout. Would not take class w/ her definitely choose a different professor.

Grades harshly, gave me an 86% on an assignment I tried very hard on. In comparison to my classmates I demonstrated a higher level of understanding. I asked her about it and she yelled at me+put her finger in my face because I didn't understand why she "would never give above a 95% on an assignment because students don't write at PHD level."

Professor Klages is an amazing professor! She accepts late work after the deadline, and the penalty isn't extreme either. You will have a weekly quiz, but you have 26 hours to do them, and they are only ten questions, all of which are multiple choice. I can not stress enough how good she is as an educator! Professor Klages had genuinely such interesting lectures. I am already interested in politics, so I was excited to go to her class every time. If you're not as interested in politics, lectures are long and worth listening to, but not necessary for the course work. She grades fairly too. Overall, I highly recommend her.
