She is not a prof that will hand you an A. you have to work for it. She can be extremely confusing and it takes awhile to figure out what she wants but once you figure it out its not so bad. There is A LOT of work that has to be done but as long as you go talk to her and truely make an effort you will be fine.Take her if you actually want to learn

Dr.Lasley is a great teacher if you want to learn!

This course is really different from any course I have taken. Dr. Lasley will help you and let you redo an assignment if you want a better grade. She is always there for her students.

Dr. Lasley is caring, committed and passionate. You can go to her for any help with any assignment or concern.

I didn't get what Dr. Lasley was trying to do until now. If you really want to learn you take Dr, Lasley's class.

You get your money's worth when you take her clss. Really! I can still remember stuff like Vygotsky, Piaget, and child centered learning.

At first you will really dislike her. You must be organized, driven and not afraid to ask questions. She is a great teacher and you will learn a lot if you put forth the effort on your own. Loved her!!!

She appears very strange at first. She has a very unique way of doing things, but she is excellent. Try to do things her way and learn with her not against her and she will helpful you understand the methods to her madness. If you want to learn about true teaching, take her class. I learned so much from her it crazy. Hard, Time consuming, worth it.

This is a the teacher I want to be. She walks the walk and not just talk the talk. She doesn't ask anymore from you than she asks of herself to give to you. Dr. Lasley is there for you every step of the way.

I get it! It is all starting to click! The students that have had her before said that it would all make sense and it does! I have learned so much already - go figure that one out.

If you want to be the absolute best teacher you can be , take this class. If you really aren't passionate about being an amazing teacher. Dont. That simple. A LOT of work. BUT SO WORTH IT. one time she bought me starbucks when she saw I was stressed and crying. Best professor for that as well.

She is a wonderful professor! Yes, she is hard but in the end you realize how much you truly learned. She is very helpful and wants you to succeed. Always has her door open and very friendly. One of the best professors I have had.

This class is certainly not and easy course. It feels like climbing Mt. Everest, but when you are done, you will have learned a lot that you will definitely use later! If you want easy, change your major. Find something else to do. Dr. Lasley is very helpful if you go see her. She will spend hours if needed talking assignments over. Good Luck!

You actually learn something when you take her class. That is if you want to learn and not just spit back knowledge.

I have used evething I learned in her class for all my other classes. I didn't like her when I was working so hard in her class. But lit. block was great because of what I leaned in her class.

First time I learned that teaching isn't telling someone what to do but actually having a conversation. Reciprocal teahing is the way to teach. She is awesome.

Lasley is amazing! I was scared and had a bad attitude when I started the class because of the rumors. I finished the class knowing more than any class I have taken at Sam and that is saying alot. Sam is a great school.

Dr.Lasley is one of the most caring and dedicated teacher I've had! She is literally at the school everyday until late at night to provide help. NOT going to lie, it was HARD and extremely demanding BUT I left knowing more than I ever expected and felt so accomplished. If you don't like to work and be dedicated to your major then don't take her.

The most DEDICATED professor I have ever had the PLEASURE to LEARN from! This class is alot of work, yet... But it ALL has purpose and Dr. Lasley is committed to helping ANYONE who ASKS!!! I will admit this class was pretty hard and time demanding, but Dr. Lasley really cares about her students and their success! I absolutely love her! I do feel that if you do take the course you may be frustrated at times, but when it is over you will realize how much you actually learned.

We built a lot of friendships in this class. I miss this class and everyone in it.

Compared to other courses I feel as if I have gained much more from this class alone, than from most of the courses that I had put together

We are given the chance to be creative and not all the answers right in front of us we can do some pretty amazing work and we have voice and choice in what we are doing then

Dr. Lasley teaches her students how she wants them teach their future students. The course is tough, but I have never learned more from a professor than I did from Dr. Lasley. The coursework is demanding, but it is WORTH IT. I am a better student and know I will be a better teacher because of her.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR UNLESS YOU HAVE A LOT TIME TO DEDICATE TO THIS COURSE!!! There are two big projects to do which are supposed to be a semester, but they truly aren't. 1000 word papers due every week, A lot of reading in two textbooks as well as reading case studies. You HAVE to participate a lot if you want to pass this class.

Dr. Lasley is an excellent teacher and she knows her stuff. However, this was the most time demanding and integrated class I've ever had. She assigns inordinate amounts of work. If you are taking a full load, reconsider. If you end up with her class, take time to meet with her every single week, start AHEAD on projects, and choose groups wisely.

She is a tough professor, but if you want to learn take her class! It's a lot of work, but I've seen people with full time jobs make A's in her class. Ask questions, read the assigned reading, do the extra credit, and choose your group mates wisely! The extra credit is taking notes on the reading and she allows you to use them on the quizzes!

Dr. Lasley is an amazing professor. Yes, this course is hard work but come on we're in college. It you try and show your progressing over the semester and visit her in her office you will be just fine. My biggest accomplishment was making an A in her class. Show up to class, do your work and ask questions and you will be fine.

Loved Dr. Lasley. She is tough. Very tough. But worth it. She prepares you for your future teacher career and especially for Lit/Sped block and student teacher. By the end of her class you will be able to whip out a 2-3 page paper in 20 minutes flat. She makes you work hard but she grades you off of your progress. Just work hard and your good.

Dr. Lasley is by far the best teacher that I have had here at Sam Houston. She is tough, but I promise you, if you take her class, you will never regret it. The class is by no means easy, but everything that you learn, you will use in your classroom. You should take Dr. Lasley if you are planning on being prepared for the future.

I took Dr. Lasley during the summer and passed her class with an "A". But even though it was a summer class, there was still a plethora of assignments, test, and group projects that she assigned to us. I can only imagine how much work she would require you to do during a full semester. If you do school and work, don't take her.

A lot of people have talked about how her class is really hard and a lot of work involved and there is. It's hard at first, but then you get the hang of it and you actually LEARN and REMEMBER! She teaches in a way you've probably never seen before. "The one who does the work does the learning". She treats each student as her equal. Love that woman.

You have already heard a lot about this professor and are probably pretty scared. She makes you work hard and pushes you to your limits to get you to change the way you think. I'm not going to lie... It's really hard work but DO NOT GIVE UP! Lasley will work with you all day if she has to to help you succeed. You'll thank yourself in the long run.

This was one of the most difficult and stressful classes I've taken yet but I'm so grateful because I learned so much. You will have to fight for your grade but she grades on progress as long as you participate in class and ask questions and do all assignments you'll be fine. You're gonna learn so much from Lasley!

Dr. Lasley is absolutely amazing! If you aren't prepared to work hard and expand your thinking don't take her class. Lazy people won't make it. She has an open door policy and use it to your advantage. She will help you with anything that you are struggling with in the class so there is no excuse for a bad grade. She grades on progress! Take her!

Her class work was a lot and it was very difficult for most of the other students in the class. I dreaded going to her class because i knew it was going to be another big load of stuff added on top of the already big load of stuff i was doing, but i went anyway. If you do all your quizzes and assignments, you will do fine. PICK A GOOD GROUP!!!!

Dr. Lasley is an amazing professor. I heard that she was really hard and I'll admit she was but she prepared me for my future semesters and I can't thank her enough for that. I was more prepared for my higher level classes after taking her class. It is definitely worth taking her because she teaches you things you really need to know.

She is one of the hardest Professor I have ever taken. I took her in the summer (not recommended). I will tell you this, you will learn from this class. Every semester is different with her. She grades on your progess in class and not the letter grade. I do not regret this class but be prepared to cry over stressed tears and be ready to work!

Listen, Dr. Lasley was the toughest teachers I ever had, but I don't regret taking her class. Assignments might feel overwhelming, but you will learn a lot you need to know. TIME MANAGEMENT AND PICKING GOOD GROUPS ARE IMPORTANT! She will help you as long as she sees you are trying to work and think it out for yourself first. My favorite professor.

Honestly, I think this was one of the hardest education course I have taken at Sam. However, I really enjoyed her class as she was always challenging us to go above and beyond and to really think. If you dont read or dont participate good luck on passing as she grades on progress and the quizzes and project heavy. She cares about her students.

Dr. Lasley's class is not for the faint of heart. As stated in the beginning of the semester, she grades on progress, and your final grade is not solely determined by the grades you get on assignments. You have to work for the grade you want, but if you actually try, you will succeed. Really great professor and person once you get to know her.
