Mrs. Mckinley was great. She uses real life examples in her discussions. She allows you to use notes on her tests. Additionally there are opportunities to earn some extra credit points to boost your grade. You need to read the chapters before going to class and use the powerpoints off of Blackboard.

Great Class

mrs mckinley is seriously the best teacher and is super funny. i had her at night class and she keeps you not bored. she lets you use notes on tests and explains everything good.. there is a project but its not hard at all and neither really are the tests bc you get to use notes. take her for as many classes as you can :)

I took the online class and it was very educational. It was easy everything on the tests and quizes come straight from the book. She is a very nice teacher but it sometimes takes her a while to respond to you.Last thing.. watch your grades, i received zeros for things that i turned in(but who is perfect).Overall I recommended this class and teacher

She is AWESOME!! The best professor I had this semester and maybe even the best professor I have had at SJC. She makes you want to learn and tells stories to get you to relate to the law - you can't help but to learn. You do have to come to class - but it's fun. I had her at night and time flew by in class. Take her if possible - she's GREAT!

Information well presented; comes with an e-textbook (I like e-books) or regular textbook; teacher lets you bring a cheat sheet - every test has some matching problems. I would take her again

This is an intense class for a 5-week course. The schedule was clearly laid out and followed and the professor was always available to answer questions and respond to e-mails. I really enjoyed the Discussion Boards. The exams are tough but fair.

Having taken many online courses this is one of the most organized and well taught classes I have been a part of. Everything has always been very clear and understanding. Her class to me was extremely hard and I barely passed because of the extra credits and project...she is a wonderful person and she will answer any questions you may have..she will also let you make up every exam if you aren't ready to take the test on exam day, which was cool for me... final exam was the easiest test with alot of definitions.

I took her for Business Law and subject is interesting but her test are very hard. Lectures are pretty much mandatory if you wanna do good. Grades balance out with a project and passing should not be hard.

She is extremely helpful and goes out of her way to help. Her classes are interesting and she gives great examples to help on tests. You can bring in a cheat sheet for exams which helps. I would take her again if I could.

Great teacher! The on-line class was very well put together. You must read and study. The discussion posts are great. Helpful teacher, gives extra credit.

Tests have leway for 115 point range. 1 project. Small bonus for good attendance. Lots of room for ex cred. She's the dominate Bus Law teacher, and i'd deff recommend taking her.

She gives alternate test date which allows much more time, and since her tests are at least 65 questions, lot of them are provide example questions, you need extra time. Pay attention in class as she gives a whole lot of examples using students in them. Class would be totally boring if she didn't have such a cute personality;she wants you to pass

Very good online class. Well organized. Responsive to all e-mails. Uses mybizlab.com site (some problems with that site, but professor helped to resolve them). Would take again.

Took her online and it was as difficult as online classes can be. I read the textbook, took notes, failed exams but am still managing to pass the class. Expect roughly 60-70 questions in a two hour slot every 3 weeks. She never posts the answers to discussion boards on time. Take her in class if you can.

She is the only teacher who can teach Business and make it cool. Amazing personality and extremely helpful. She made my first semester of college cool!

Business Law is a difficult course. However, Dr. McKinley goes out of her way to make it clear as it can be. She uses silly illustrations in class to help us remember the material. You do have to study, but if you come to class & do the reviews, you should be fine.

She is very nice, gives nice examples to make sure student understand the concepts. lots of extra credits project, 1 research paper (mandatory), 4 tests. I won't say it is super dupper easy, if you work hard, pay attention to class it is a very nice class. Aso allows a test guide during the test.

I made an A in the online class with a significant amount of effort.

The professor set out a good schedule at the beginning of class with good timeframes with enough time to get things done. Allowed for make-ups. Used a publisher website with lots of helpful stuff. Very responsive

The class was interesting and well done, but you do have to study. The teacher was very easy to get in touch with and responded well when I had questions. She met with me outside of class to go over my review even though this was an online class.

The Syllabus and calendar was set out well at the beginning of the course and the professor stuck to it. She posted reminders when things were due. Easy to get in touch with via e-mail. A lot of material in a short period of time. Tests are hard and timed. so be prepared

The class was very well done and laid out well. It was only a 5-week class, which was intense, but doable. The professor was easy to contact and responded quickly. Tests were hard to do the amount of material, but it was a 5-week class.

Everyone else in my class seems to love her but I honestly don't get it. She always talks down to me and looks at me like I'm stupid. Her class is all lecture and she'll even admit her tests are awful. You get a "cheat sheet" but somehow that doesn't help. Attendance isn't mandatory. Overall it was okay.

There is a lot of information in this course. However, the course was laid out well and allowed me to do my work at my own pace (which I needed as I took it online). The professor always responded promptly to my e-mails and I really enjoyed the class. I learned a lot. I would take this professor again.

This was the best online class that I have taken. It was a lot of material, but it was divided up well, good schedule, lots of help and extra credit, and she responded fast to e-mails.

I absolutely love her. She is by far one of the professors at SJCD. I took her for both intro to bus and bus law. She is a great lecturer and keeps the class's interest by creating riveting group discussions. She is very quick at responding to emails, posting grades and her blackboard page is FULL of helpful links, documents and everything else

This course was one of the best organized classes I have ever taken online. Professor McKinley responded fast to my e-mails, gave extra credit, and was great. It was hard in 5 weeks to get all of the material learned and you have to study the material, but it is there for you. Take her if you can.

Coolest Instructor is college history. Go to class every day and do the work assigned and you will receive an A.

This was one of the best online classes I have taken. While the subject matter is a little tough (especially online), the course was laid out well and Dr. Mckinley gave plenty of time to do the work. The tests are hard, but fair. Gives extra credit. Easy to get in touch with.

Mrs. McKinley is a fantastic teacher. She's super nice and gets the class involved when going over lessons. On top of that, she is always giving out easy extra credit, and allows a couple pages of notes/study material for the day of the test. It's nice to have a professor who's very passionate about what they do, so I highly recommend her.

This class was not that bad! You do all the work and tests on Connect and discussion boards on blackboard. You have to read a lot but that's pretty much it. You do learn! Take this class! I recommend it.

While there was a lot of information in this class (especially in a 5 week class), it was interesting and well laid out. The textbook was good, but can be a little difficult to understand, but Professor McKinley provided lots of helpful information and was there to answer all of my e-mails. The class was excellent and stuff I will use.

Fantastic class, learned A LOT. She is super smart about a lot of subject matters for business. There is a group project and an individual project. Don't get behind on connect or she counts it late. Be prepared and do the work and you'll do fine. She gives lots of instructions and extra credit opportunities

Professor McKinley is very passionate about her job - she clearly loves her job. She speaks a little fast at times, but she explains things well. She is very approachable. There is a group project, but I had a good group so it worked well for me.

Best teacher I have taken yet! Mrs. McKinley knows what she is talking about-- very information class about business. Allows you a piece of paper (front and back) for tests. Tests are easy as long as you study. If you want to get into law, this is the course to take.

Her test are super hard but she is a great professor! She makes you work for extra credit! Her classes are fun and she is always telling funny stories that relate to what she is teaching.

Took online for 5-weeks. There was alot of work, but manageable. Schedule was clear - posted reminders often on due dates (had one due date that was unclear, but she opened it up when e-mailed). Responded timely to e-mails. Good communicator. Learned a lot. Face to face may be better, but good online class. Great examples. Mindtap optional

All there really is are connect hw every week, and 4 exams (pretty long), there is also a project. She is ok, pretty disorganized, but fairly easy!

Talks a little fast, but she knows what she's talking about. There is a group project, but we have time to get it done. Her door is always open. Can bring a cheat sheet for exams and gives easy extra credit.

If you are a business student at the south campus you have take her. Very important though, you should take her in person. She is a very friendly, family oriented, and professional woman. Do all your assignments and you will be fine.

Prof McKinley makes class fun and gives extra credit assignments. We have a Shark Tank group project which was fun. Tests are a little long, but you can bring a cheat sheet, so not bad. Meets with students outside of class gives lots of help and extra credit.

Bus Stats - math is not my thing so I was nervous taking this class - especially online. But the professor showed us how to use Excel to do the work and so it wasn't that hard. Responded fast to my e-mails (and there were a lot since math isn't my thing). She walked me through the problems.

This class is a good class and pretty easy. Do work in CONNECT. Good orofessor - wanted to take in person, but couldn't. She answered me quickly and gave extra credit. Very nice

Took Fall in a Zoom class. Loved the class - would have liked face to face but not offered due to COVID. She's very sweet and knows her stuff. Talks a lot but gave time for group work in class. Assignments were easy and gave lots of extra credit. Took her for 2 classes - she's great

Took Bus Stats online. She provided some very helpful videos and answered my questions when I needed help. Stats is not my thing but she showed how to do the formulas in Excel and that helped a lot. Took her for 2 classes.

Professor McKinley is really good and makes class interesting. You can tell she loves teaching and wants the class to get excited. Group project - gives some time in class to work together. Lots of extra credit opportunities. She talks a lot and wants us to talk too.

lots of homework, project and exams, but she will help you with extra credits. She cares, but that doesn't mean you can cheat or skip the materials. She met me through zoom to go over a question I had. Project is a little bit hard, but she has many materials to help you with it. I loved her and I loved the way she supported us.

I wanted to take her face to face in the Fall, but could only take her online so I was a little worried. Didn't need to be. She is such a caring professor and took time to meet with me via Zoom (and in her office when I asked) to go over the material. Class was laid out well and she knows what she's talking about. Great discussions as well.

An online Business Stats 8 weeks class was scary - but she responded quickly to my emails (and I did that a lot), zoomed with me when I didn't understand the problems, dropped the 3 lowest Homework Grades, and had a project which I really liked (has to do with baseball and I love sports). Helpful videos too, but the Zoom meetings helped so much.

I took this class in person (for an online class). She's great in person., I loved her in class. She's personable, gives great lectures, gets the class involved, gets to know us, gives extra credit, and the tests were not hard. Does use a lockdown browser for tests, but not bad. Take her if you can - and take her in person if its available.

I took this class online - but it was okay. I had her face to face and would have preferred that, but she Zoomed with me when I had questions so it was okay. She responded very quickly to my emails. She gave extra credit and good videos on how to do the calculations (know how to use Excel - it's a lifesaver). Good class. Would take again.

Loved taking Business Principles with this professor. She made the class fun and interesting with her lectures and made room for class conversation. If you're looking for a class to breeze by though and don't want to keep up with, I wouldn't recommend. If you want to have fun learning and all that I would highly recommend.

I will say the homework assignments are long like others say but they are not hard if you actually read the textbook and take notes in class. It was easy to learn with her and make sure to get ahead on the shark tank project!! Counts for a big part of your final grade.

Ms. McKinley makes class fun - gives good examples and gets the class involved. She's "funny" in her own way - tries to relate the topic to us. Wants students to talk. There is a group project and tests use Proctoria and are taken online so that is an issue but not bad.

Professor McKinley was the best, I enjoyed her lectures. She was very heavy on lectures when It came to the exams. Take good notes during the lecture and study what you wrote down. I was allowed to use my notes during the exam so taking good notes was essential. Hardest thing in this class was the topic paper but start early you should be good.

Tests are basically powerpoint slides. Extra credit per chapter on mcgraw.

Dr. McKinley makes class fun and gets us involved in class. She talks about current topics and shows how these are things we go through. She loves to talk, but also loves for us to talk. She is always there for us and wants us to succeed. She is very positive.

Dr. McKinley 's great and her lectures are entertaining. She loves the class to talk about things and gets to know us a lot. She is funny in her way and gets us talking about things. I went to her office a few times to talk and she was always caring. She knows her stuff. (I was fortunate to have a good group. I would take her again if I could.

Not a super hard class. I will say it is really a lot of busy work/homework, but I got through it pretty quickly. Exams are not proctored and super easy, and all assignments can be redone as many times as you want before the due date. Took this class over the summer and it was not super time consuming, can balance school and social life pretty easy

Sometimes she has an attitude and seems like she is talking down to people, so be aware of that. Overall, it was easy as long as you do the work and she gives a lot of extra credit. If you do the work, take the tests and show up, its hard to fail. Basically, don't take the class if you can't handle a lawyer personality.
