tough no nonsense, hard. i feel like im in hischool class, role every day. fair n teaches well but no fun
I loved this teacher! At first I thought I was going to hate the class but she made it so interesting. I took her for both Biology I and II, and couldn't have asked for a better professor!
Easy to get along with, funny, really cares about her students; don't miss too many classes though!

Expects a lot, but makes sure you are well equiped to pass the class and learn something. Very interactive teacher.
The most work I have ever had in a class. The MW class REQUIRED that you be there on Fridays as well (for labs). TONS of online reading and big projects, preventing you from having time to really know the rest of the material. Want an A? Prepare to work to death. Lots of extra credit offered, requiring more of your time. You'll need it!
She is a very good teacher, She is also a very hard teacher at times, She usually lays her expectations out very clearly though, so if you like a challenge choose her she probobly is one of the best in depth Bio teacher around

Great Teacher! She Really believed in me which made me work even harder. She was always available if you needed help. She is tough but she gives you all the tools to do well.
Do not take her online class!! She does not answer emails in a timely manner. She goes around the question instead of answering the question directly. Tried many times for help was never available for me. Had to get outside source. Her TEST are never what she tells you to study. Most of the time the test is totally different form the textbook.
Teaches Bio I (a required class) as a class for bio majors. Very very hard. Labs every day, lots of diff. stuff you have to buy for the class. 100 ques. tests, w/ essays. Nice lady but awful class if you aren't a biology major.
I had lot of fun this semester. We went on fieldtrips that counted for extra credit. She gives online quizes that counts for extra credit I admit her lab practicals and tests are somewhat hard you need to study for them. I really did enjoy her class she loves to laugh and if you're a class clown like me then you should have fun & learn together.
she sucks at teaching. She acts as if she is the smartest thing around to bad she can't explain it to you. I only took her because it was a required class horrible teacher. If you don't already have bio background with a little chem DO NOT TAKE HER!!
The comments below must be from whinny people who didn't study. She's a great teacher -challenges you-which is what I want from college.Very helpful and knows her stuff!!! Excellent class!Took her for both 1406 and 1407
To me she was not very helpful at all. She requires you to buy many things for the class, her tests are extremely hard, and the projects are very complicated.
Her unit tests have never been 100 questions! Yes she has essays, but she told you the topics ahead of time. She is understanding and loves what she does. She is fun and energetic! Those that don't like her are usually the ones that don't who do not want to take responsibility for thier own learning! To those who rated her badly, welcome to college
She made things very clear and easy to understand. i loved the class so much and had great fun!!! you cant just get an easy A. you have to work at it and study but she gives you a lot of extra credit. She was very funny and the whole class seemed to have alot of fun.
She is one of the best teacher's I have ever had. I agree with one of the comments below; if you don't put the time to study and I mean really study... you won't do good in the class. She is completely devoted to teaching and you will be able to tell. She might seem scary at first, but just give it time and talk to her.
One of my favorite teachers! I wish I'd taken her for 1406 as well. She made learning biology a blast!
I dropped her class the 5th day. She is an absolute joke. On days we didnt have a lab we'd sit there and listen to her yak. She is a really nice lady ...but extremely difficult.p.s...too energetic for me

Professor Morgan is the absolute best teacher I have EVER had!!!! This is a difficult class, but she is extremely fair and helpful. The people who say she is too hard are the people who are used to being in highschool. We are in college and this is a college level class!!! I got an A b/c I studied!! Yes, you actually have to study for this class.
This class is definitly difficult. Prof. Morgan is a very nice lady, but she her teaching style is one that only matches a few people. She does not give you time to learn what she is teaching, very unorganized. I have read the book and studied out of the book and not her notes. So if you take her, you will use the book alot on your own time.
I am taking her online class and to be honest it is hard! HOWEVER, to all those students who gave her a bad rap, SHOVE OFF! She is extremely caring and helpful of her students and TRULY wants all of them to pass! She has done everything possible (even held extra study sesions with us) for us to pass. She has awesome analogies to help u learn!
I really liked the class. It was interesting, informative, and well presented. She has a sincere love of biology which is wonderful. However, when she teaches, the "scientific terms" she uses are confusing for those of us who had someone else for bio I. Too much material for 16 weeks, and the test were impossible despite my enormous studying!!!
Her style requires you to spend a lot of time studying on your own. Her tests and lab practicals are very hard. You will be required to write a lot of essays. This class will most likely hurt your gpa.

this prof expects too much from students. she lectures so quick and by one week to the final she tells you that you have to read a new chapter by your own! her tests are super hard compares to her lectures and NOT FAIR at all!! If you want a good grade, don't take bio 1406 with her!
This is not an easy class. If u have'nt had bio in a while a lot has changed, especially the understanding of dna. This is a weeder class, but prof. Morgan is an awesome teacher & will help any way she can. If your lazy & looking for an easy A, go somewhere else. If u want to learn biology see prof. Morgan.
Awesome prof!Very helpful- she cares that you understand the material. You have to study (duh-you're in college!) but she is extremely fair on exams -she talks about possible essays during class. Lectures and labs are fun. She is hilarious and knows her stuff. If you wnat to know biology take her!!
If you want to be prepared for your 4 yr college, take prof morgan. You will work hard but when you earn your A, you are proud of yourself. She's smart, funny, wants you to learn, helpful and makes a hard class fun.
She is an awesome professor. This was an 8 week online course. Very OVERWHELMING course, but she is very helpful and will work with you. If you do horrible in this course, it has nothing to do with the professor. I definitely recommend her.
I took the 8 week online course, it is extremely demanding and ALOT of material to cover. She is an excellent prof. & does care about her students. She has always answered my emails promptly and helped in anyway she could. There is extra credit, you NEED it! Her class is based on a 1,000 point basis and it just takes lots of work to get there.
I agree with everyone above. She is extremely hard. I had just taken a BIO I class which was very easy, and when I started hers, I was a fish out of water. If you do ONLINE she requires 3 assignments, 3 discussions, 3 labs, homework and test every week. I would recommend taking a different teacher. Her class ate up my entire summer.
I took Prof. Morgan's online Biology 1408. Do't do it, especially if you work full-time. A lot of material to cover in a short time. Material is not explained well and lesson plans are not well organized. I love a challenge and this class was a too overwhelming. Course material was not well planned for only 8 weeks. Will never take her again. Hard!
Her 8 week online course is very hard. Exams, labs, assignments and discussions due every week. Material is not explained well. Tests are not what you may have studied. Material is not well organized for 8 week course. Too demanding. May work for those that don't have a full-time job. Others beware! I studied and still didn't learn. Thumbs down!
I took her online 1408 - 8 week course. She's a great prof and well organized. The people below should realize that it is 16 weeks of class in 8 weeks- of course there is alot of things to cover! The discussions and assignments all very relevant!Great course- if you want to learn something - take her.
horribly inconsistent. lectures and instructs on about sixty-percent of the material, then proceeds to test around one hundred-percent. Makes excuses afterwards, such as "you should be reading on you own time." I can study well enough, but only with a clear direction to do so. Unless you automatically know EVERYTHING about biology, don't take her!!
8 weeks just completed. A earned but major excessive work. Outlines for tests don't match tests. Labs (8) insane.Discussion/Assignments due weekly-be prepared to follow her rules & do the assignments/discussions as she asks. Final exactly like review. She will work with you if u do your work. Would take again just lots of cramming-hardly learned :(
Just finished the 8 week class and I too got an A. I don't know what the last poster is talking about - outlines matched perfect with the tests. And the labs are not hard if you keep up - hello only 8! Discussions and assignments interesting and relevant. Yes you will have to work but this is an 8 week SCIENCE class and it's college. Great prof!
Great professor! Truly understands everything about Biology and is always willing to work with you as long as you are doing your own work.
lectures had hardly any relevance to test, expected to do much of the learning on own, never answered questions directly, studied tremendously only to never pass a test. she's got an attitude too
AWFUL especially for an 8 week non major online class. I excel in minis- NOT IN THIS CLASS. When you ask for explanations through email she makes you feel stupid. Unhelpful and the LABS do not make any sense, nor are they relevant. 2 LABS, 1 Discuss, 1 Assnmnt, and an exam every week covering 3+ chapters. Exams have 3 essays each worth 8 pts=24 pts
Do not take her in an 8 week course, extremely to much work due within one week I was to busy trying to keep up with the work i had no time to study for the exams that were given every week on three chapters, I tried really hard and exams were not on reviews maybe a regular semester it is reasonable but not in a 8 week course dont recommend
post grades quickly and give a lot of assignments which help bring up my overall grade. Tests are tough but manageable. Class is for serious students who are willing to spend time on their assignment.
I have taken two of Professor Morgan's classes and let me tell you - they are not easy but if you put forth the effort you will learn SO MUCH. She is a great professor to have if you are a bio major because she really cares about her students and does everything possible to help you grasp the material. Her classes are very interesting!
Was very scared to take this course, because I am weak in science. Took it, because it was my last class needed to graduate. She gave us so much material to use for test reviews plus many extra credit chances. Always answered my e-mails within 12 hrs. I bugged her all summer long! She's positive, patient & encouraging. Prof. Morgan is the best!!!
Prof. Morgan is awesome! For an 8 week online course, and for someone who HATES science, I got an A! She is good at responding to emails, gives good notes/reviews, and is a pretty fair grader! extra credit opportunity, flexible with due dates cuz of lab kit, and the final review is SO HELPFUL!! this is not a blow off class tho, but she is great!
Horrible professor! Grades very hard with no explaination. She was not available when I needed her and never returned email. It was impossible to make a good grade unless you already know and understand biology.
took spring 8-week course. she is not a bad teacher but there is a lot of work. All exams have to be taken at the testing center. Labs are very crucial, if you get behind in doing them you could fail. stay on top of the work and should make it out alive. Not an easy class.
I took this class through the summer mini-mester. There is a lot of class work and all tests except the final have to be taken at the testing center. Professor Morgan is quick to respond to emails and friendly. Pay attention to lectures. Final is exactly like review. Many opportunities for extra credit! I received a B but had to work for it!
Took the summer mini-mester. There is a lot of course work but if you stay on top of the lectures and labs, you can do it. Prof Morgan is extremely helpful and responds to emails quickly. Many opportunities for extra credit. All exams except final are taken at a testing center. Final is exactly like the review. Would take her class again!
I took this course online. This is the least attentive and responsive professor that I have ever encountered. She does not respond to a single email within 6 weeks. She gives lectures that do not pertain to the material on the test as well as test reviews that do not pertain to the material on the test. NOT A GOOD TEACHER. DO NOT TAKE HER ONLINE.
since it's an 8wk course i expected it to be difficult, but GOSH. Each unit has 3-5 Mastering Bio assigns., 3-4 labs, 2 Discussions (w responses&sources ) All tests are taken in the testing center with no notesbook. She responds to emails but not within a timely manner. No Office hours. Hard to focus on anything else. RUN FOR THE HILLS.
She is the best teacher that I've ever had. She cares about her students and does everything she can to help. She is very clear as to what she wants and how she wants it. You must attend class and pay attention to lectures, but they are interesting and fun so it isn't bad. Tests are hard, but 100+ test grades are possible. Lots of extra credit.
hardest class I have ever taken. After the first practical 3 students including me cried our eyes out. I had to drop. You will have to work EXTRA hard. Go to all the extra credits, don't skip class, and study like crazy. I used to study weeks in advance and still barely got away with a C. this class made me change my major. I do not recommend her
I took this as an online class, and got pretty much what I expected. A lot of labs at home and one major project (building a cell). Pretty easy material, just a lot of work. Professor Morgan was available for questions but I don't think I'll be taking another online biology class any time soon.
Take this class with Dr. Morgan!!!! I took her class online and I sometimes listened to her lectures, barely touched my book. All the mastering bio answers are online so you can easily get an A and the tests are not hard at all. I got a 95 in this class. TAKE HER.
THIS LADY IS ALL OVER THE PLACE. HER OUTLINES ARE NOT FROM THE BOOK WE ARE REQUIRED TO USE. HER VIDEO LECTURES ARE CONFUSING AND SHE REFERS TO HER ADVENTURES ALOT THAT SHOULD NOT BE MENTIONED. SHE POST LABS IN THE COURSE CONTENT THAT DOES NOT CORRESPOND TO THE LABS IN eSCIENCE. DO NOT TAKE MORGAN UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE CONFUSED AND U WANNA FAIL
I would 100% recommend her. I failed biology at my university so I signed up for her 6 week online class and I am making an A. Lots of reading and the material is super dense but she breaks down the information so well that anyone who sucks at science, like me, can understand. If you're willing to put in the effort its an easy A or B.
Took the online class, a lot of stuff to do but the class is designed so that it's actually kind of hard to fail as long as you at least complete everything. Tests were allowed a note card and there was a take home exam also. You have to get a lab kit which is expensive but you use everything in it. Definitely not a hard class.
Summer session/Online course - Read the syllabus, follow the schedule AND the assignment/lab instructions - Pay attention to the grading criteria and the additional email communications provided by the professor - Do the work - And you'll make an A!
Best professor I have had. But, she IS NOT an easy professor. That being said she gives you every chance to really learn and understand the material. She goes over the tests afterword individually and shows you exactly what you need to do to improve. Work hard & take advantage of opportunities given by the prof. and you'll pass.
Professor Morgan is great. She gives out extra credit that you can do. Her tests were actually very hard considering she doesn't really give reviews for it, instead you have to study the outlines for the chapters. The final was exactly like the review. She also responds very fast to emails which is good if you're confused on something.
Professor Morgan does give a lot of homework, and I mean A LOT. The 5 test are kind of brutal, but if you actually study, you will pass. She give great opportunities for extra credit. Do the final review, print your results, and study. She lets you use 3 note cards for final and the final is word for word of the review. Do the work and pass.
Lots and lots of reading. There are no test reviews for the tests , and doesnt tell you what you did wrong on labs which really hurt my grade. Theres no way to memorize the content of 7 chapters in 2 weeks. I really dislike this professors style of teaching. I would not recommend anyone to take her class online.
She is not a good teacher, too much work. Leaving this comment again. Don't delete again People need to know what kind of teacher she really is.
Make sure to study study study! The tests come exactly from the textbook so read each chapter thoroughly. For the exams she lets you use a 3 by 5 index card handwritten front & back & 5 index cards for the final! If I tried hard enough in the beginning I could've done better. I was taking a History class 12WK , A&P 2 6WK and this 12WK all online.
Although I know college level biology is a tough class in general, this class was pretty tough. I took her online biology class and it's literally impossible to make good grades on these tests. I'm an A student and I am struggling so much. I do not recommend this professor at all.
The poor reviews on this professor turned out to be correct! So yes i regret registering for her class now. The course work for this class is HEAVY! A lot to do in short amount of time. Her study guides are horrible and she is bad responding to emails even though she teaches online. Definitely listen to others before registering for her class.
The grade received is what YOU work for. Tests - can use 3x5 notecards (failed the first 2) passed 3rd & 4th. Test 5 open note/book easy A & final IS THE review(replaces lowest test). 11 labs(time consuming) w/quizzes(less than 10 questions), 1 genetic project(easy A/B follow rubric), 5 discussions(easy), 6 MB(easy). Syllabus is straight forward.
4 units, 11 labs & quizzes, a genetic project, proctored exams. Online modules were $100 and lab kit, which felt like a needless cash-grab, around $200. The teacher isn't the most computer literate, but nice. Some online instructions contradicting. Fortunately this is an easy class with plenty of dropped grades and extra credit. Don't use proctorU
Overall good, just things about her class that weren't great: $220 lab kit on top of a $100 access code. Biology is just a tough subject so you have to make sure you do the work. She's very responsive to emails and Review she gives is basically the final(100 questions long)
This is a LOT of material. I was thinking because it was a summer course, it would be a bit lighter. She finds a way to fit in all 15 chapters. About 3-4 chapters with a quiz each ch. and 3-4 labs, w lab quizzes each week. 4 test + final (final replaces lowest grade) and 1 project. I studied for my life and only passes 1 test. Bio is not my thing.

This class is not easy, but Biology usually isn't. This professor is VERY well organized. All expectations clearly laid out. All units of the course clearly laid out. She posts online lectures is you like to actually hear her speak, she also has powerpoints, and very detailed chapter outlines to help you study. Difficult but a great professor.
There is a lot of work in this class for the 8 week course. The professor lays everything out clearly and you have access to everything you need but the course still takes a lot of reading and memorizing. Be prepared to study.
Proctored testing for online classes, difficult tests, lots of work but also a few easy assignments that bring up your average
Taking this professor is a roller-coaster of emotions: One minute you're getting hundreds on everything and the next you have no idea why you got the lowest grade in your college career on a test/quiz. Take with caution, I'm not even sure she knows what she's looking for half the time.
Like any Bio class ever there is an IMMENSE amount of information, but honestly for an online Bio class, she really helped out more than any Bio professor would. On tests, you get to take 3x5 notecards with info as well as FINAL! Literally awesome. I had trouble with labs a bit, but she really is clear on the syllabus so you should do great.
Please don't skip her based on the rating. I took her for 1408 and 1409 during the summer!!!! Biology is a hard subject in itself, she is not to blame. Her exams are directly from the text and her final is exactly the same as the review. The projects were time consuming but I survived. Easy B in both classess....
I am 100% honest, this lady will haunt my dreams. I took a non-science majors class and it was the most intense thing I've ever done. You can get a good grade just remember that it is a science and DO NOT take this class like you will pass this with a breeze. This prof will make you work H A R D for your grade
I read the review of Professor Morgan, and was super nervous to take her class. BUT! Let me tell you... Yes she is a total tough grader, but this teacher is AMAZING. If you show you actually care and put forth the effort, she WILL care about you as her student and help you in any way she can. Not an easy class, you have to study study study!!
Tests are only open for a few hrs, no make ups if you miss no matter the reason. Have to be in a closed, quiet room with basically nothing around for the tests, monitored by webcam. The material is difficult. Lots of multi-day labs. Allows note cards for exams, including the final.
I took this class as an 8 week course. And although I was very stressed I can say that enjoyed and learned things in this class. During your tests your able to use note cards and I used the card as much as I could. Make sure you stay update on labs and pearson work.
I took the 8 week condensed class online. This class has a heavy workload but don't let that scare you. Do the work and you'll do great. She allows you to use 3 index cards for the proctored tests. Drops test grades, drops labs, can turn in test corrections. Lots of extra credit opportunities. I learned a lot and made an A+. Super nice professor.
