Ms. Myers is really nice and gives extra credit galore! For every question you get wrong on the test you get 12 point back if you correct it. ex: you make a 50, send in test corrections you can get a 75. She teaches right off of a powerpoint, everything on the test is right off the powerpoint, no grey area.
I expected to enjoy learning about psychology, but she does not make it very interesting. Information is typically read off of a PowerPoint derived directly from the textbook. However, she does offer extra credit to students and genuinely cares that her students make good grades.
BEST teacher i've had hands down. Amazing lectures, doesn't give a load of work, and is very nice. Attendance is not mandatory but you can still pass without going. Tests are extremely easy. Easiest A i've ever gotten
Dr. Myers' class was probably the most boring one I've ever taken, so I ended up skipping a lot. She puts her lectures online and reads straight from them in class so you don't miss much. That said, she was a sweet lady and really wanted everyone to do well. You can get your tests and correct the answers for half credit and turn in assignments late
Great instructor. Lets you correct exams and get half credit back. Genuinely cares for her students and is such a nice lady. Lots of extra credit opportunities, so if you study then you should get an A. Tells you to get 2 books, but I didn't even crack them over the semester.
Its hard not to get an A with all the extra credit she gives. Not very interesting classes but attendance isn't mandatory and you don't really lose anything by not going. Very easy A.
Super helpful. Simple homework assignments and easy tests packed with many chances for extra credit. Overall you would have to try to NOT make an A. Also very nice, caring personality. Overall great experience.
I love Ms. Myers she's sweet and passionate about psych. Attendance doesn't matter and all the tests are super easy because she gives you a study guide of everything on it. The tests have so many bonus questions which make to easy to get over a 100%. We had 6 easy homework's on blackboard and many extra credit opportunities! Definitely recommend!!!
Posts lecture slides online, but going to class is recommended for full clarity. Tons of extra credit opportunities and she allows for test corrections. Some studying is required, however the full on "cram session" isn't necessary. She is really nice and tries to make the class fun. Final was not cumulative. Easy A.
Attendance isn't mandatory because all lecture notes are posted on blackboard. She tells you exactly whats going to be on the test and then lets you do test corrections for half credit. SUPER EASY
Ms. Myers' class is one of my favorites. She really cares about her students and gives A LOT of extra credit. She also lets us make corrections on our tests for half credit, and makes extensions on assignments if necessary. You really have to try to fail this class because she tries to make it possible for everyone to do well. TAKE HER!!! EASY A!!!
LOVE HER! Took her for 460. The class has a lot of information and is pretty tough to understand but her tests are straight forward with no surprises. She's an amazing professor and loves to help out her students! Take her if you can!
Dr. Myer's is an amazing professor and she knows her stuff for the most part; if she doesn't have an answer you can expect it the next class as she will look it up for you. Not an easy class, but if you show up, try to participant in discussion, and study for exams you should do fine. She gives extra credit opportunities and is really understanding
Elizabeth Myers is seriously one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. She cares so much about her students that I'm fairly sure she would let me sleep on her couch if need be. All of her tests seemed like the material would be really tough but if you memorize most of it, you will make an A. She gives a TON of extra credit on the exams.
Professor Myers is so incredibly sweet and caring. Her lectures are a tad boring but she tries to switch things up a bit. She lets you do test revisions so even if you bomb a test, you can do the corrections and still make a good grade. 3 exams, 2 papers and 4 easy homework assignments. She's so kind and will help with anything! Take her!
Professor Myers is an awesome person. She is super nice and truly cares for her students. SO if you ever have to take a psych class and she's an option take her you will not regret it. She gives extra credit and gives you chances to help your grade. You need the ICLICKER for the class but we used it like twice.
I LOVE MYERS. She was super helpful and kind. 226 has 3 exams, 2 papers, and 4 homeworks. She's an easy grader and is very understanding. She will help you through any problems you may have. She's a little weird, but definitely knows her stuff.
Book is helpful but not needed. papers are easily graded. All test are fill-in-the- blank with word bank, multiple choice, short answer, with extra credit. Also you can do test corrections for half credit back. Go to class so she knows you look like you care and she will help you out
Great teaching style, although 226 is a tricky class to make interesting. Don't really have to pay attention/go to lectures IF YOU READ THE BOOK OUTSIDE OF CLASS. If you pay attention in lecture, book is not needed. Takes attendance for first half of semester. Only two easy papers and 2 exams plus the cumulative final. Lots of extra credit on tests
She's an amazing teacher. If psychology is your strong suite you can pass this class without even going. This isn't a bad thing. She's very helpful and is the best psych teacher i've had thus far!.
Elizabeth Myers is a great professor. This is my second course I've taken with her and I did not regret it. She cares for the students and it shows. She gives you many opportunities to get a good grade, even if you have trouble comprehending the material (like me).
Elizabeth is such a sweet woman, but her lecture style is all over the place and it feels like she can never focus on what she wants to. That being, said, this class is pretty easy, and she gives a ton of extra credit if you participate and show you're trying in the class. Would recommend taking her for this class!
Loved her!! Was apprehensive taking this class as a freshman but loved it!! She is so sweet and her class is so interesting! If you pay attention and do whats expected, you will get an A! All my friends got A's too!!
Ms. Myers is one of the nicest professors I have taken at USC. The first two weeks or so she took attendance, but stopped after that. Homework assignments and quizzes were all online. Exams were a little tough but she allows test corrections for half credit back. TONS of extra credit. Bombed all three tests and still ended up with an A in the class
Second semester I've had Elizabeth and I love this woman. She really cares about you learning the material and will do whatever she can to make sure the material gets across to you. Most importantly she does test corrections, so you can bring a failing grade up to a passing one EASILY. Lectures get a little dry but she is worth taking.
I absolutely LOVE Ms. Myers! She is so, so sweet and very helpful. She lets you do test corrections to get half credit back and has a ton of extra credit opportunities. 3 exams (including the final which is mandatory) and a group project. I was nervous about developmental psych at first, but it was a breeze with her
This was her first semester teaching this class and she was very clear about what would be on the tests. There are a few easy homework assignments and a group project that is an easy A. She offers lots of extra credit and allows test corrections for half credit. You probably won't need them, the class is very easy.
Love Elizabeth! This was the second class I took with her and I'll be taking her again for my last semester. Really cares about your learning, and understands you have a lot going on. Test corrections for 50% credit back and participation REALLY matters. She LOVES engaging with students, so don't be afraid to talk or go to office hours.
One of my favorite professors at USC. Show up, participate, and study for the exams and you'll make an A easily. She does test corrections for half credit and in-class participation/attendance counts for A LOT. Take her if you can!
Professor Myers is the best professor I've had at USC thus far. She makes a boring/difficult class so much more interesting! If you go to class and participate every once in a while, she will help you out so much towards the end of the semester. She gave me 15 extra credit points w/o me asking for it just bc I came to every class & participated!!
I love this woman!! She is the sweetest and you can tell she loves the material she teaches. She makes me want to learn and I am so happy I took her this semester. When I was sick and couldn't come to class it didn't affect me too much. Overall if you put the effort in you are guaranteed an A.
Myers is one of my favorite professors at USC thus far. Be prepared to come to class. she doesn't take attendance out loud but she is VERY good at remembering faces and WILL know if you are not there, whether you think she knows you or not, she probably does. Is very personable and kind. Use the book to do the study guide and you will do fine.
Hands down the best teacher I have ever had before. She makes lecture so interesting and really loves the subject. You have 2 exams, a final, and a project. She gives you a study guide for each exam, extra credit questions, and lets you do test corrections. Honestly she made me love psychology and the class was so easy to make an A.
Myers is super nice and really cares about her students. She takes attendance almost everyday without students knowing. She allows test corrections which really help out. Theres one project/paper which isnt hard. Her study guides however are very overwhelming and a lot of the material she puts on there she wont test on. Extra credit on exams
Dr. Myers is a wonderful professor, she gives you an opportunity to correct your 2 test for extra credit, then there is a final. There is also 2 short 20 question homework assignments a paper, and she grades on participation. It is impossible to not do well in her class. One of my favorite professors. Also took her for Psyc 420 and received an A.
have you ever lost faith in humanity? myers will bring this said faith back the lady is an angel
She's nice for the most part but you won't learn anything in her class. It makes me sad that most people take her just because she allows test corrections. She isn't great at lecturing and her classes are very very very boring.
Professor Meyers is such a sweet caring lady, but she's not the best professor. She usually just reads off of slides that she posts online anyway. The material is extremely difficult because there are so many different things you need to know. She allows test corrections and extra credit but still didn't help me too much.
Dr. Myers is super sweet, and obviously really knowledgable about what she is teaching but her slides are very unorganized and hard to follow. Going to class helps understand concepts but had to use the textbook to study for exams. Slightly distant and scattered, but means well.
Such a sweet lady. Really cares about students learning and passing. Offers test corrections. I've taken her for 3 classes, and none were difficult. Provides study guides for what you need to know. Simply read the book and take notes on that stuff and you will pass. Does take attendance and learns everyone's name. Bonuses on every test
She is genuinely the sweetest professor Ive ever had. She really cares that people learn and tried to make class interesting even though the material is extensive. Grade is based on 3 tests, 6 homeworks, and discussions. She allows for test corrections, gives extra credit, and curves tests. I dont see how you dont get an A. Shes amazing.
She's great! She really cares about her students and wants everyone to understand the material and do well. She allows test corrections for partial credit which were a real lifesaver as well as helpful in retaining the information. She also gives two extra credit questions on each test and the usual extra credit from the participant pool.
Lectures everyday, but posts the lectures online. Only professor Ive had to offer test corrections. I could fail a test with a 30 and pull it back up to a 78. I didnt study much, but if I had put in effort its an easy A. Has a study guide that is really helpful if used. Didnt buy the textbook. Greeted me by name everyday and my favorite prof.
Dr. Myers is one of those professors that learns everyones name even in a class of 80. She knows her stuff, but she went down rabbit holes almost every class. She is good at explaining concepts and really does care, her exams are not hard at all if you follow her study guides. I enjoyed her class, but I had a hard time following her lectures.
Beth has easily become my favorite professor at USC. I love her lectures because she knows so much about psychology and really makes me passionate about pursuing my major. As long as you stay on top of your assignments, make an effort and come to class, you will do great. She is so caring and really takes the time to know every student.
She is an amazing teacher and cares about each of her students, she will remember your name after 2 weeks. She offers test corrections, which can easily boost your grade. Her exams are tough and mostly written but her study guides usually prepare you pretty well. Her attendance policy is kind of confusing but you can miss class and pass.
Do not recommend. She is a nice person and clearly knowledgeable, but very awkward and made people uncomfortable. She stares at the class blankly, rambles about random stuff, doesn't teach stuff that's on the tests. Test corrections is the only good thing about taking her class. Her powerpoints are disorganized and not as helpful as they could be.
Dr. Myers truly cares about her students. Exams are not difficult if you follow her study guides, but if you mess up she allows test corrections. She's a little disorganized and powerpoints sometimes don't make much sense, so make sure to go to class. She also gives a ton of extra credit for participation if you actively participate during class.
This is by far my favorite professor in psyc. Her lectures can be boring and the material is hard to understand but she allows you to do test corrections on every exam except the final. Gives papers and some homework but nothing that should take more than an hour or two. Very caring and tries very hard to teach her students well.
Myers is a sweetheart. She cares about her students and will actually do anything in her power to get them to do well. Her tests are just the study guides she sends out, and the homework can be done if you just read the chapter in the book. She's so nice if you come talk to her, and you can tell she's interested in the topics and loves to teach.
Professor Myers is such a sweet teacher. She really cares about you passing the class, and gives you plenty of opportunities to do so. However, her exams are rather difficult, and she usually stuffs about 5 chapters into one exam, making it even more difficult. Stay on top of everything and do the extra credits when given, and you should be fine.
A+ PROF! the best psychology prof I have ever seen, hands down. I never thought I would make A on this course but she really cares for her students like a parent would do. I totally love her and I am taking Brain and Behavior with her next semester. A real gem! I highly encourage you to take her, an Easy A. She gives 2 test corrections.
I loved Dr. Myers class!! The beginning of the class is very stressful because the material is so hard but she really cares about her students and as long as you show her you will work hard she will give you an A. I thought it would be hard to pass the class but I ended up with a 98. She gives test corrections for 2 exams and curves the final.
Her lectures aren't super organized but she really knows what she's talking about. Her tests had so much extra credit and since you could do test corrections, it was super easy to get an A
the material is pretty difficult but with all the extra credit and test corrections its an easy A. shes a really sweet woman but goes extremely fast during lecture so i had to teach myself everything anyways. she also is super nervous at all times which was a little difficult to listen to
This is the second course I've taken with Professor Myers. Although some of the material is challenging, she is very knowledgeable about what she is teaching and does a great job at answering questions. She also gives extra credit opportunities and allows test corrections. She is the sweetest and very helpful, she wants everyone to do well!
wants you to understand the course and very nice, disappointed i couldnt take her in person, the material is tough but she does everything she can to make sure u understand, lecture vids arent bad & readings arent mandatory but exams are not all multiple choice, are timed, and harder than expected. be sure to ask questions and make a class groupme
Professor Myers is one of the best professors I have had. She really cares about her students. We met online once a week where she took attendance. Grade is made up of homework (discussions, practice quizzes, and one page papers) and test. The test come from the textbook and notes. I would 100% take any of her classes.
Not my favorite professor, but also not really her fault. She just reads off of the powerpoint slides and I gave up on watching the lectures due to this. I was able to just read the book and do well on the exams. Not a hard class, I just wish it would have been in person. I think I would have enjoyed her teaching style more this way.
I loved this class! Attendance was mandatory only one day a week for lectures and the other 2 days we had lecture videos. Her homework assignments were easy, she gave A TON of extra credit, and her exams were on Lockdown (no monitoring) but they were open note and textbook (lots of textbook use). She was fun and made the class interesting.
She is one of the nicest professors I've ever had. She is very understanding and flexible when it comes to needing more time to turn in an assignment. The material is pretty detailed on the exams, but you should still pass. I think I'm going to finish with a B+ without extra credit.
She was a really good professor. The material is kind of difficult but she does a very good job explaining things to you if you're confused. Attendance was taken as a part of your grade, but she didn't really take any points off if you didn't go that often. Overall I would definitely take her again.
Always love classes with her. Lectures are not the most interesting, but she is very nice and understanding. A few quizzes, papers, and projects, but I never got lower than an A. This was a topic course (music) so we played instruments every Thursday. She tries to make class interesting. Encouraged us to come to class, but online was available.
Expect a lot of lecture time, but Professor Myers does a good job at delivering the material and answering any questions students have. She's also interested in any comments or stories we have to tell. The information can be a bit difficult just because it's brain and behavior, but she is great at helping us better understand. Highly recommend!!
Prof Myers had a hybrid class this semester so you could either join the lecture online or go in person. Attendance was not mandatory although many previous reviews says it was in the past so that could change. The material is hard but the exams and quizzes are all open note and super easy. She also gives tons of extra credit opportunities.
Great professor! This class was a hybrid so if you couldn't make the in-person lecture you could attend online. Lectures are based on the textbook with some additional information on the power point slides, which students have access to. Open note/open book tests. Very helpful study guides! Little homework, some extra credit. I have an A so far.
This class is pretty hard for me ngl, but there is no one who I would rather have taken this class with. She delivers the material in a very interesting and engaging way and is very personable. I enjoy going to her class.
This class is really hard and you have to study, but Professor Myers is the best! She genuinely cares about the students and material and it shows. She does test corrections which saved my grade. Hard class but she is definitely the best professor to take for it!
Professor Myers' class is very difficult, don't get me wrong. However, she's very engaging with her lectures, posts a study guide before tests, has review sessions in-class and allows for test corrections. Besides her generosity, she has a huge heart and passion for Psychology. If you want to learn and pass, take her class!
I loved professor Myers. This class is hard because its about the brain, but she provides all the info you need for the exam and SO MANY extra credit opportunities. Each exam has 2 easy extra credit questions worth alot to help. Theres alot of content, but easy once you figure out a good study tactic. Such a kind woman also. Take her!!!!
One of the best professors I've ever taken. Tough class, but she gives test corrections which lowkey saved my grade. Super nice, and gives you a decent study guide (they're kinda long) for exams
Way too much material crammed into this course. Prof. Myers is kind and caring but class feels rushed and the potential for the material to be interesting is lost due to the overwhelming amount of topics covered.
She is one of the nicest teachers I have ever had. I am taking her 450 course next semester due to how much I enjoyed her 460 class. The classes are hard due to the complexity of the material but she offers so much extra credit and test corrections that a A or B is very easy to get. She posts a study guide for all the maturely you need. Take her!
If you are a Psychology major and need to take psychology professional development take Professor Myers. The material is extremely boring but this isn't her fault as the material is standardized across the university. The final project is a majority of the grade and she let me turn it in late because of blackboard problems. I am taking her again rn
Take her! She's great and really cares about your success in the class. She offers test corrections which is awesome and so helpful. She makes it as interesting as possible and genuinely cares. She's so sweet and I'll definitely take her again if I can. The content is hard and can be confusing but she's very understanding and wants to help.
I absolutely loved Myers. She offers so much extra credit through test corrections and reading extra articles. If you show up the first half of the semester she allows test corrections for half the points back. She is SO reactive and funny. I wish I could be her best friend genuinely. Take her.
Professor Myers is so kind and nice. The material in sensation in perception is not easy by any means, but she is aware of that and will go over any material many times over. Her exams are hard, but she offers test corrections and many extra credit opportunities. As long as you attend class and take good notes, you can succeed in this class.
One of the best professors here. She truly cares about and wants to connect with each student. The material is hard, but she does her best to make it easier to understand. She also does exam corrections and offers a lot of extra credit. She truly is the best!
One of the most amazing professors I've had- hands down! She's so caring about her students and passionate about the content! She gives so much extra credit that you can get easily an A in the class by putting in the effort:) I cannot sing her praises loud enough.
Genuinely cares about her students and their success in her class. She acknowledges the difficulty of the course and gives extra credit opportunities as well as test corrections for the first couple exams. She is also very funny. If you put in the work you will be fine.
she's a chill prof, can sometimes ramble but overall lectures are useful. homework isn't too difficult and tests are in person but not super hard either. just make sure you study and you'll be fine, test corrections are offered
She is amazing!! She is so sweet and really cares to get to know her students. Attendance is taken each class but she said you can "miss A LOT" before being penalized. The material is a lot so be ready to study but there are test corrections on each exam. Definitely recommend taking her classes!
She is very excited about the content and very passionate. The tests are hard but you get test corrections for 50% back and lots of extra credit. She is so funny and I would love to take her again. She makes it a point to know her students.
I love this woman. This is my second time taking her and if I could for all of my psyc classes I would. She is literally amazing. Cares SO much about her students and is super kind and accommodating. She allows test corrections and tons of extra credit. She wants her students to do well. Take advantage of all the opportunities she gives out!
Prof Myers is amazing!! Her lectures are pretty fast-paced and have a lot of content so as long as you take good notes, you will be good. She offers corrections for her exams + extra credit on them, and provides a study guide which is really nice. Besides her exams, there aren't many other assignments besides a few homeworks.
She is amazing! Very sweet and understanding. The class content is difficult by nature, but she does not add to the difficulty. Just pay attention and study. She is easily accessible and accommodating, just communicate. She offers test corrections which is really helpful. I also had her for PSYC120. Overall a great professor.
Miss Myers is the sweetest professor I have ever had. Shes so understanding and this is my second time having her as a professor. I look for her name every semester and try to get her as a prof. Shes so kind and her class teaches you a lot. You get test corrections where you get points back and shes very clear with her grading. Id take her again!!
This class is very difficult, but she truly tries to make it as enjoyable as possible. She offers extra credit and test corrections. Her lectures are lengthy but she tries to make the class engaging and fun.
She offers extra credit and test corrections. Her lectures are clear and reflect the exams. 3 exams throughout the course and gives a study guide. Very caring and is obvious she loves what she is teaching
She is such a sweet professor I would really recommend her for this course. This class can be quite confusing and has a lot of information but she does a good job at teaching and answering questions. Exams are tough but she allows test corrections that help a lot, except the final, and homework is limited and easy. My TA was also great.
Dr. Myers was by far one of the best professors I have had at this school. Dr. Myers is relatable, goofy, and genuinely tries her best to explain the topic at hand and handles questions very well. Plenty of extra credit available. Study guides accurate. Test corrections if you attend 75% of the lectures.
Myers is a great professor! So smart and loves the content she is teaching. Although this is a very challenging class, you must study and complete the HW to get a good grade. I will also add that if you have not taken Neuroanatomy you may struggle as I did. I think it should be a prerequisite for this course as it is very anatomy heavy.
Dr. Myers is an excellent professor. She made the rigorous material easy to understand and even allowed the class to complete test corrections. Please take her for all your psychology courses. There is no one else like her.
She offers test corrections and she gives you a list of what topics are on each exam. She is super knowledgable, so she may go off topic in lecture but it's because she is passionate. The books required can be found online. You need to put in a little bit of effort but not much to get an A. Final is not cumulative; it's more of a 3rd exam.
Literally the best professor I've had here, she is so sweet and funny and makes difficult material easy to understand. The class was hard but she gives homework assignments that help you understand the topics covered. Attendance is taken on paper, but if you want to actually understand and master the concepts you should go to every class.
Students get to decide what material is covered and she prepares current research articles to review. Very presentation heavy and participation during presentations matter! No exams or quizzes, only a few HW assignments. Grading was very fair, if you put effort in you will get an A and learning in this course is easy if you care about the topic!
