Great teacher... she gives online quizzes that you can take as many times as you want and her online exams are the same questions from the quizzes. She's really nice and she gives good lectures in class. If you like watching videos.. take this class :) Easy A... lot's of extra credit. Great teacher.

She's really nice and has a great sense of humor. Even her stories about when she was in school are very interesting. Online quizes are a snap. The online tests are pretty much the same as the quizes, just mixed up. Overall, she's a great teacher. Got an A.taking her for my next required Psyc class.

She's good and can be funny at times. Some material can be dry, but overall ok. I've heard that she may get harder in her grading now that she's been hired full time in the psychologydeprtment.

Pretty good teacher. Her lectures can be boring at times and she tends to repeat the same thing over and over. She is not very organized. However, she keeps the class engaged and provides very easy quizzes and tests. 99% of the questions are right out of the textbook and all are online. Definitely recommended!

Her class was informative, but really easy. She provides lecture notes online and practice tests also. If you study the practice tests and print them out you should be fine. The tests are all online and you can use your notes.

Good teacher except for one thing: she missed class at least 6 times so far (I literally lost count) and on the days this happens she emails us...usually at about 7:30AM for the cancellation of an 8:00AM class. If we missed this much class ARC would put us on academic probation. Good psyc prof.....when she shows up.

This class was so fun. Dr. Nelson was absent allot so always check black board. She always compensates for being absent, like dropping an assignment. I think that is so cool! I would highly recommend this teacher if you want a great teacher and an A.

Easy A! Read the chapters in the book and class is a breeze. DO THE PRACTICE TESTS! Print them out and check your answers! They are a major key to what'll be on the actual test. Research article isn't that tough either for a semester project. Just follow the example format and answer the given questions. That's it! She's Email friendly too.

This was a very easy class, and the material was interesting. Her lectures are good, full of facts, and she also has fun. She definitely knows her stuff, although sometimes she is a little like the "absent-minded professor." Online tests are really easy, use the practice quizzes and you're guaranteed a "A."

I mean the coolest teacher. She is funny, interesting, and know what she is talking about. Take her you will get an "A" and feel good about yourself.

Open book for all exams. Practice Quizzes are helpful since it's where she gets her questions for major exams. Extra credits are helpful, too. EASY A! Not a really challenging class which tends to make you NOT TO LEARN much from this one... But, oh well!!!

Dr. Nelson is one the best professor I have ever had. Her tests are easy and you are going to watch lots of video that are really helpful to learn more about the subject which she talks about in the class. Highly recommended.

I learned a lot through Nelson's class. Her practice test are very helpful for your exams which are open book. Attendance is required, you watch movies and fill out worksheets and lectures can get tedious at times. SHE HAS CHANGED IN THE UPCOMING SEMESTER SO POLICIES MAY NOT BE THE SAME.

I think that she was pretty good. The main thing is to take the practice quizes, because they really help on the test, most of the questions on the tests are exactly the same as the practice quiz. I am going to be taking Psyc 300, and Im thinking of taking her.

If you want to challenge yourself, don't take her, if you want an easy A in the class... this is it. Gives you 30 p.ex/credit, takes attendance, her tests are hard - but you have 80% of the questions answered before hand in your practice quizzes. An A guaranteed, take her!!! :)

Prof. Nelson is a little disorganized. I didn't learn as much as I would have liked to from taking her class. The class is super easy, all you need to do is do the practice quizzes and the video assignments and attend class. It's not hard at all, Easy A if that's what you want.

Just finished the class today and this class was easy. All you need to do in her class is study the practice quizzes and attend the sessions. If you want an easy A this class is for you. She offers a lot of extra credit to help your grade.

People who say that that they don't learn anything from Dr.Nelson's class probably didn't care to learn. Her tests are detailed and straight from the book and this is how it should be if a book is used. Students say that she is easy because most of the test questions come from practice quizes. Professor Nelson is a great professor. 3 tests w/ 50 questions each, final is 55 questions. Half questions are from study guides posted on d2l. Some answers are posted the night before each exam on d2l discussion board. Makeup essay exam optional & provides you info for your research months ahead. Attendance points. Easy A+. Take her, no regrets.

This is the easiest psych teacher I've had thus far. I haven't even read the book yet and have gotten all As on each test. Do the practice quiz's and study them, because they are the exact same questions on the exam.

Great Class, Great tests, Do practice tests, get the book to complete the practice tests. Come to class, as attendance is mandatory. No cell phone, no lap tops & don't talk or you will piss her off. All in all a easy fun class, not a waste of time.

Yes, take her class. She is pleasant and minimizes annoying people during class. Her teaching technique is effective, you will learn something. She makes learning the subject interesting and as aesy as possible. You will need to read the textbook. This class is good to take if you are taking other subjects.

I just completed her online summer course and learned a lot! Keep in mind there is a lot of homework to do. Quizzes and tests were based off her practice quizzes so do those even though you don't have to turn it in. With her online format, it was organized and clear and I really liked it. Very nice teacher too.

I think she is a great teacher unless you are extremely lazy and are incapable of doing your homework. Her lectures match the test and she is very helpful. She connects psych to the world. Students who aren't there to **** off, take her. Shes worth it.

First psychology class ever taken at college and it was easy. All you need to do is complete online homework, do the project, and DO ALL practice quizzes because they are exact questions that will be on the test except a couple are application questions. I enjoyed this class b/c I love Psychology. It's fairly easy if you do the practice quizzes and read the textbook. She does seem a bit disorganized and forgetful, but she's nice. Be warned though, she is HARDCORE about students coming to class late. She locks the door THE MINUTE class starts and nobody is allowed to let latecomers in. Be on time!

Shes is very nice and flexible. If something came up and it interrupted the semester schedule she would move things around to make it convienent for us. She is strict about her no electronics rule and being on time. She keeps the class interested too! Its not just strictly lecture

Yes, she is a little behind in the grading but she really helps you through this class with reminders when things are due, checklists to complete, and tons of extra credit to help you get the best grade possible. She is very fair in her grading and has a lot of good feedback. If you email her, she responds promptly. I recommend her highly.

I took this class too long too much to juggle everything was clear what to do, quizzes and. exams, and Connect lessons, D2L and orientation just too much to do, textbook and code too much cost can be overwhelming for new students even return older students. one thing though the extra credits really help boost my grade to a B barely made it.

I was afraid to take such a class online but it turned out great! I like the checklists. It is good organization. If you do your work, you will survive.

I had Dr. N for two classes and both were structured the same. Yes, she's a bit disorganized, but if you need help staying on track with online classes then she is the professor for you. She's fair but be prepared for changes in the syllabus throughout the semester. She takes forever to grade and assigns a TON of homework, but hey, it's college.

She is completely unorganized. Watch out! Don't be late to class she locks the door exactly at the time class starts. Treats the class as if its high school. But on the bright side, if you take the notes, do good on exams and quizzes you shall be fine. She also gives plenty of extra credit.

This teacher was awesome when I had problems and needed help. However, although I know she had personal family issues during my online class, her online set up was horrible and really confusing. I missed multiple assignments trying to understand her layout and expectation. and she changes due dates constantly but that okay with me!

Professor Nelson's online class was amazing! Everything was clear and concise, despite the family issues she had this semester. She would send an email and explain everything and provide new due dates, etc. She is also really nice and wants to help you succeed. Provides plenty of EC. You can def. get an A in her class if you try.

tons of information to absorb. consider this when you are taking over a 6 week summer course. lots of videos to watch weekly. Dr Nelson offers great opportunity for extra credit and if you do the work in a timely fashion you will have an A at the end of the course.

Fantastic, very interesting class but loads of reading, you will basically read the whole book. She literally gives all the questions to the test but still decently hard. The semester paper requirement was just a class assignment where anyone who came to class that day and participated got an A on the only essay in that class.

Bought the textbook, only used if for first few weeks of class until I realized that all Connect Assignments AND her online exams are word-for-word taken from Quizlet. Easy A class if you put in work on other assignments. Took a really long time to put in grades, especially at end of semester... So if your're wanting to know your grade, good luck!

She is a wonderful Professor! All exams are online. You'll have 3 or 4 small assignments and a few in class assignments as well. She gives up to 30 extra credit points and you can do just about anything to get them. Lectures are amazing, she's hilarious and very caring. I would take another one of her classes in a heartbeat. Took her online class she is great! Perfect online teacher. Just remember to do the modules & the connect work & you will pass. She offers a generous amount of extra credit all very interesting and useful. She is a fun professor take her online if you can get in!

She was amazing! There is a ton of reading & a ton of lecture material. Be ready to dedicate time multiple days per week to this class. It is so easy if you do the reading though. There is so much extra credit I don't see how it could even be possible for someone to fail. My grade ended up being above 100%. You learn a lot here, quality education.

Great professor! She is sweet and caring and really passionate about her job. She does record attendance and lectures pretty much every class. She also gives weekly quizzes via Cengage but she drops the lowest quiz along with the lowest exam . Final is optional. Exams are based on lecture and readings. She also offers extra credit .

Prof. Nelson is one of the good ones. The semester began as face-to-face and quickly transitioned to remote learning due to CoVid-19. She was extremely understanding and went above and beyond to be as accommodating as was allowed. Her lectures were still just as interesting as they had been all semester.

Professor Nelson is an amazing and caring professor who holds amazing lectures on very interesting subjects. She even tells real-life stories about the different mental disorders that are covered in the course. She also made an outstanding effort to hold lectures over Zoom which I appreciate. I would take the course again if I could!

I was really happy with this class and had a high A the whole term. She drops the lowest exam grade which dropped my grade to a high B. Kind of confusing, but hopefully it goes back up because that doesn't make sense. It is a lot of reading, and quizzes but if you follow the schedule it is an easy A. A lot of it is done on connect as well.

Prof. Nelson is the sweetest professor. She goes above and beyond to answer any questions and offers up to 35 points of extra credit. Do the work, study, and you will pass. No book needed, didn't even open it. 5 exams, lowest one dropped, and lots of case study assignments. She is a bit unorganized and grades last minute, only negative thing.

My class was asynchronous & I liked it. You get like a month to complete each module. She adds SO MANY videos & texts to read/watch but honestly I would skip over them; they aren't necessary. Dr. Nelson was such an awesome professor! She gave you plenty of time to study prior to due dates. She drops two of your lowest scores on Exams and Discussions. She provides so much extra content that isn't mandatory to watch/read as long as you acknowledge the module. Such an easy A, would absolutely recommend.

Good professor and pretty easy class. Discussions, exams, and CSA's are due every few weeks but she drops your 2-3 lowest grades on all of those, and they're all graded leniently to begin with. Tons of extra credit opportunities, but a cap of 35 extra credit points. Weekly online lectures with mini quizzes in them for extra credit. Late grader.
