She only bases the tests off of what she covers in lecture, so definitely write everything down. Also, visit her at least once in-office before each exam. She will blatantly tell you what stuff will/wont be on it. Favorite class because she was so sweet and helpful, and genuinely cared about the topic. Enjoyed every lecture.

Lots of EC opportunities and a poster project, which were easy points. Exams are tough so be sure to reach out to her for help beforehand. Highly recommend this class and would definitely take her again!

TAKE NOTES, and do the study guides- put in what you want to get out of the class. She does give some EC, there is no homework. Go home and rewrite your notes! Beth is the best bio teacher to have! I honestly would not recommend Beth Pearson to any of my friends. Her lecture class for Bio 100 is test heavy. Even though, she gives out long (4 pages per study guide) study guides, rarely is all the material covered on her exam. Instead, her exams are often confusing and cover material that we didn't go over very much in class.

This professor gives random quizzes with little time. She's completely disorganized and, at times, irrational. I'm pretty sure she's unaware that she's a professor. For that matter, I'm pretty sure she's unaware that she lives in California. I would guess that the only degree she has is on her protractor... if she even has one of those.
