She's a really great teacher and is so understanding! There are a lot of little projects to do, but the study guides she gives are mucho helpful. A class worth taking.

Its a great class and she grades fairly, she is serious about her speeches towards the end, so be prepared. She's fun and encourages confidence, I came into this class scared of the idea of public speaking but that went away during speech 2..trust me u'll like this class, i recommend her to anyone

Other than this class being easy. I hated it. There were no restrictions on the speeches, so we had about a billion abortion speeches that made me want to shoot myself. Acts a bit crazy at times, she would be joking one minute, and yelling the next.

She's so-so. The class isn't hard. As long as you DO the assignments you'll do well in the class cuz she doesn't grade hard. The final is a piece of crap but I don't think she grades it hard cuz I thought mine was worth crap and still got an A in the class. 4 speeches in the semester.

Whoever said she is rude is nuts, ive never met a more needlessly polite woman, but she does have a good sense of humor. The class was pretty easy, but did require prep for the speeches. Not hard but time consuming, and easy A if you do. Definitely recommend

This is the easiest speech class. She tells you what she wants and if you don't know something, ask her and she will do it for you. Easy A. She is very nice!!

In a word, MOODY! She can be nice and if you do your work you will get an "A". She grades easy on the speeches and there is only 4. Quizes are all short answer and not easy like she says they are. Don't be late, leave early or miss a class, she gets angry and annoyed.

She was very nice in the beginning and then became a moody **** towards the end. Walk all over her, because she doesn't care about anything. Quizes are a joke, tests never came around and the final speech, make something up on the spot. A girl in my class didn't show up for two weeks and she still passed her. This class is an easy A.

I had Intercultural Communication and Speech with her. Excelent professor. Nice and helpfull. Easy test as long as you write something that makes sence. Not moody like others said. She is very clear about speechs though. Do not miss them, because your grade will droop in a second. I recomend her to everyone.

I HATE PUBLIC SPEAKING! Perrell realizes people are on different levels when it comes to this skill. Do your speech on time, bring your tape, and come to class, you'll do fine. I suggest taking this class early in your college carrer and getting it over with if you don't enjoy speaking in front of others. Good luck!

She's a good teacher and wants to really help you get a good grade in her class. If you dont agree with a grade that she has given you, you can confront her about it, and most likely she wil give you some extra points

SHE IS AWSOME. I had 2 different classes with her: Speach and intercultural communications and I loved both of them. You do need to study for the test becuase the questions are mainly to be answered by you yet she is very flexible when it comes to grading test. TAKE HER

The class is really easy. You don't do much in class expect listen to her lecture and group work. The test are easy if you listen to her lectures. Also, the speeches are easy the first speech everyone gets an 100%, but she only allow you do makeup one speech, and she takes 25 points off.The book is not requried, so do not buy one.

This class was pretty easy. Make sure you write the speeches before the first day (there are two different days to speak) because if you come to class on the first day expecting to sign up for the second day, you might find yourself out of a spot. Just turn your work in and you'll get an A. She HATES cell phones. You NEVER use the book. Dont buy it

THere's no way that I'm going to forget about this professor in my life because she made it possible for me to graduate. I hated speech until I met her; I was very quite and shy but she always keep the class conversational and encouraging worse speakers like to enjoy and pass the class with a A. Extremely easy. all you have to do is talk. make a conversation out of your speech. i dont even remember buying the book. so i dont recommend you buy it. unfortunately i didnt read one of theses and got **** back from the book store.

Yes, she does not like cell phones but it is a reasonable request. She wants those giving a speech to be able to concentrate without distractions. You do use your book! Her tests are completely derived from the text. It was an excellent class, I learned a great deal!! As long as you work to complete assignments, you will get a good grade.

OK Professor, she is very easy if you do pay attention to what she is looking for to see in your speeches. Very easy quizzes too,no HW. If you don't show up on the first day to sign up for speech order you don't get to do yours, and then you'll have to do as a make up. A lot of people usually drop the class. Overall an easy professor.

she makes no exception to the rules. if she says the speech is due on monday, the speech is due on monday! if your a procrastinator then move on to another teacher but if your focused then take her. don't ask for favors when it comes to speeches because she won't help u out on the day of the speech....overall a good teacher

She is a stickler for the rules. Even if you have a medical excuse you still can't do make-up work (except 1 speech). Kind of scatter-brained. She'll send out confusing e-mails often and doesn't answer questions very well. Don't recommend taking her.

Perrell is not a bad teacher, she's actually rather good. But she gives these annoying little quizzes out about once a week that bust my balls. She doesn't really tell you what to study for them. But she teaches well and her speaches are fun. She's a nice person and makes the class entertaining.

Nice woman. Tells you exactly what to study for her little quizzes (easy). Speeches were graded fairly. Not too entertaining when she lectures and gives occasional homework from the book (4 questions max). If you're not passing, you're obviously not even showing up.

this class was really easy eventhough im completly terrified of public speaking, if your afraid of public speaking you will get over just take this class because its easier for people who hate speaking

Her class is easy,she is nice and has a great sense of humor. she is not messing around when it comes to points but she gives alot of opportunities to boost your grade. She is a fair grader on the speeches but not on the quizzes. She tells you exactly what to study for before the quiz so if you get a bad grade its because you didnt look over notes.

Her class is somewhat intermediate but the difficult thing about a speech is not only you have to write the outline but practicing for so many hours is what's tiring and sometimes frustrating but hey practice makes perfect and everybody should know that!

She is a very kind and funny lady who cares for her students. You will be required to do a lot of speeches and she will grade you in every aspect. But she is never rude or mean to anyone.

Beth is a very nice,she expects you to perform with what your given. She gives four speeches and is clear of what she wants.She is almost never rude to anyone,I had a few issues with her personally. She was rude to me one-on-one and gave me NO grace on small forgotten details of the class. Overall decent professor but I would consider her a plan B.

This class is so easy you will get bored. It is hard to sit through the entire class because she does not make the material interesting. It is a pretty predictable class and too easy to pass.

Mrs. Perrell is a pretty cool teacher. She is a little sarcatic. She is very helpful if you need help.I liked her class. I passed with an A. Her quizes can be a little challenging but she tells you what to focus on so you can study for it. I would recommend.

Easy class! Doesnt use textbook at all, gives you the notes for the quiz. NO speeches except like two which are really easy. Very cool class to talk to others and get to know people.

This is a good teacher. Not my favorite of subjects, but she is sweet and kind and you can often work things out with her (if you are applying yourself in the class) if you need a good grade.

Easy A. Attendance is mandatory so please show up. Otherwise, I didn't study one day in this class and got C's on all my quizzes. The real grade is attendance and the Final Project. Take that project seriously, it's worth your entire grade. Don't buy the book, save your money. She has us read a few things and never graded on it. Useless.

I took her class online for speech, it was easy, every week she sent out a list of things to do, once you do that, you're good to go. other than that, she seemed like a really nice teacher and responded promptly to emails or messages

She is very peaceful, I don't know what you would have to do to get on her bad side, but I assume a lot because I have never seen it. She is very understanding and will do her best to understand your situation (if you are going through anything) and help you (either with a situation or with something as silly as homework). Loved the class!

Just do your homework, show up to class, go over the notes + easy group projects. Make sure you study the notes because she gives a little test every two weeks. If you do all those you will ace her class i guarantee you she is a good professor just make sure you do the homework and study the notes. You will ace her class.

The lectures can seem a bit repetitive but I found that very helpful. If you follow her pace and take things one step at a time you learn a lot. She does grade a bit strictly but she hides lots of extra credit in the modules. Not an easy class, but it is very fun, and the professor offers lots of resources to be successful.

Honestly not as bad as the reviews say. She gives extra credit and genuinely cares about her students. It's true that she nitpicks, but she does give good feedback and offers room for improvement. Quizzes are a little hard imo, questions are repetitive/hard to distinguish. Always read through the modules cause that's where she hides extra credit!!!

Professor Perrell's SPC1608 class is a mixed bag. The quizzes can be challenging, but she offers lots of extra credit opportunities. I found Unstuck ai and the class notes really helpful for staying on top of the material. Overall, a manageable class with a fair, engaged professor.
