She will help you with everything but she hates cell phones and she really has no patience for stupid people. She might seem overly feminist but she is not, she is very educated and funny. Dont mind her eccentricies. :P

Pierce is a crazy professor who is realistic and down to earth. She knows how to make class fun and loves to joke around. But when its time to work, its time to work.

I would like to tell you that... Professor Pierce is great! She teaches you important aspects of writing that you might not get from other instructors. Her style of organization will help in my future writing assignments.

This is the second time I've taken ENG 105 - and there couldn't have been a better teacher than Professor Pierce. You MUST attend class, very strict with attendance, but classes are so fun & interesting that it doesn't matter. Respect her, and your peers - she does not put up with rude comments. Overall, Great Professor, Great Class!

Professor Pierce was a delight to have. As a returning adult student, I was very nervous. Professor Pierce put me at ease, as well as guided me to where I could obtain additional help if needed. Incredibly useful class, incredibly out of this world amazing teacher. I took her in Spring 2008, and still remember her words of wisdom! And the perfect way to call in sick to work that she taught us.

Really good teacher but you must apply yourself. This is not an easy grade. You can receive an A if you do the work. It is like having a job. Do what she says you will be fine.

Makes Children's Literature every interesting, entertaining, and informative. (It will ruin your childhood though :/) Very good teacher. Strict but fair. Due the work and you'll pass no problem. She really wants to explain things to you when you have questions. And remember to participate!

Pierce is for any student looking for a challenge. If you are there to learn, she is there to teach and help you. To all the students who commented and complained about her jumping down your throats over grammatical errors: you're college students and she's trying to teach you how to write, it's not HER fault you can't properly form sentences

Prof P is quirky with a dry sense of humor. Not power tripping but can be vindictive if she thinks you're just trying to glide by. Workload is fair, grading is fair. Involve yourself in the classroom conversation and she'll like you. She doesn't talk about her cats nearly as much as prior posters claim. Overall a good teacher.

She was my favorite professor! Class is very helpful in life, but can be difficult. She tells you and breaks things down, but attendance is mandatory. She will work with you if you are struggling.

Prof. Pierce is a life changer. I found her class to be very difficult and had to drop it in the end but I liked and respected her a great deal while I was in her class. She's tough as nails but she's good at what you do. Make sure you talk to her a lot and she will work with you 100% of the way.

She is definitely different (in a good way), but it kept my attention. I didn't find the work to be that challenging, but I did find it to be time consuming. We used the textbook a lot. The book is expensive and, as she puts it, wants you to get your moneys worth out of it. In conclusion she is a wonderful professor and her class was enjoyable.

Hard class. Public speaking and advanced essay writing skill required if you want a good grade. She's good at teaching the subject and takes her job seriously. Recommended only for above average students.

She will withdrawal you if you miss more then 2 classes. If she develops a dislike for you, she will use it against you. She talks bad about people, even her co-workers. Fair grader. If you're sensitive, don't have her. She likes to brag about her degrees, and talk about her cat. Very rude.

With every assignment she gave, she spelled out at a 10th grade level exactly how she wanted the assignment completed. All you have to do is follow her instructions. She gives a ton of real world knowledge, and sets students up for the real world. If you do what whats instructed, you also will receive an A.

She's interesting, funny, down to earth, approachable and not bad to look at. You learn not only about the material but about yourself. Yes, she wants you to talk but who want the teacher to sit up there and lecture the whole 1:20? What more could a student want? Take her and you won't regret it!

This is by far one of the best teachers. Just go to class and read The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks (Amazing Book), and do your work. I didn't like her at first I wanted to drop the class the first day but I stayed in it and was amazed how much my writing skills improved. Great Professor!

Professor Pierce is one of the best at MCC. She is funny, quirky, and makes class fun. She can be very particular on writing, but this is necessary for this type of writing in the business world. A word of advice, don't be disrespectful to her or she will dislike you, which is fair. Take this class if you want to be challenged, and learn a lot.

Shes very nice but obsessed with literature and Edgar Allan Poe. Easy class you should take it but she will get very boring.

I found humanities really interesting, but Professor Pierce made it very stressful. I did not enjoy this class. If you don't share in class, you'll hurt your grade. Make sure you show whoever is presentinglecturing respect, she will get upset if you don't (which is fine, but that's a heads up!) Can't turn in late assignments. Wouldn't take again..

Professor Pierce is pretty straightforward and knowledgeable. The assignments are reasonably straightforward if you pay attention to her instructions. The class included some homework assignments, two or three short quizzes, and a final group project.

Only the weak and lazy comment negatively. I believe everyone should be speaking highly of professor Pierce. She is a great teacher, very thorough with teaching MLA and she really encourages you to do your best. If you don't have what it takes to actually do college level work, don't take her class. Great person, great course. Highly recommended.

Best professor I've had this semester. Whole class wrote a long essay using MLA format. As long as you read and do the homework on time, that's about it for the entire semester. Read a book and write a paper. She's nice, and I passed the class.

This class is applicable to real world application and Prof Pierce made this class enjoyable. She uses humor appropriately and can be a tough grader but she provides quality feedback.

Professor Pierce was really passionate about her subject. She'd bring in extra info that wasn't included in the texts. She's done her research. She is very funny and takes what could be very boring material and makes it interesting. Take her. You won't regret it.

I only had her for a couple of classes since she had health issues. In those couple of classes, she really dug down deep into the subject, and got us all thinking. I wish I could have had her for the rest of the semester because she knows her stuff, communicates well, and ispassionate. She embarrassed bad writers of the past like it was a fetish.

Professor Pierce is passionate, helpful, and engaging. Her class is interesting and she makes sure her students know the material. If you work hard and participate in class, there is no reason you shouldn't get at least a B.

I'm grateful for Professor Pierce's teaching material beyond school. You learn some super useful real world stuff, especially the resume portfolio and other professionalisms. A class with Pierce is seriously a positive step for your professional development. She's a wonderful educator and a kind hearted human being. Be nice to her lol, she's cool
