Very good, an easy class. Dr. Post wants students to do well. Very helpful.
work = easy A
very nice, pretty easy, teaches boring material well
Loved the class and enjoyed her teaching. Approachable and clear in her lectures.
good class, hot sexy body!
this class is a statistics course disguised as research methods - hard if you didn't understand Stats 13, 'cause it's a repeat of all the material. unnecessary.
This course was not bad at all; Post is an good lecturer, and puts much effort into her lectures and power points that make it easier for everyone. While there is considerable statistics involved, it is definitely doable. She is also very helpful.

She tries really hard to make the material easy and spends a lot of time on lectures (power point). Is very thorough in using her website.
just make sure you don't end up on the .5 percentage, meaning if you have an 89.5, she won't give you the A
It's really obvious that Dr. Post doesn't have the time to teach this class, or just doesn't care about it. She rarely keeps the website updated, and it takes forever to get grades from exams back. The class is easy, but she makes it unbearable.
She's a great teacher. She manages to teach boring material very well. Also has a great sense of humor. Tests come directly from her notes and lecture, but they can be a litle tricky
This class was quite a bore. Great teacher, but research in general is not fun. All my friends say she was easy, but it didn't turn out that way! Take her if you must. I hear the other teacher is better and easier!
Drops lowest test score with several opportunities for extra credit. Her exams aren't as easy as they seem, but are fair. Attending lecture isn't necessary, but I did find the review sessions very helpful.
Good professor. Tests are straightforward, out of the text and notes. Lectures are boring, only because they are 90 minutes. She has an interesting class, but boring subject matter. I'd recommend her.
The tests are very tricky but do ALL of the extra credit and it will make up for lousy test scores. The subject material is boring but she does her best to keep you awake.
boaring subject material but she tries to make it as interesting as possible. cares for students. not a bad teacher to take this class from.
This class sucks. Don't bother going to class because it's pointless. Tests are extremely hard. Half the class failed the tests. Grades hard on the labs. A horrible class, dont take if it isnt manditory
Great Professor. She makes every attempt to make you understand the boring material. Lecture Notes are online which is helpful when you miss a leacture. Tests are very hard, but you can drop the lowest out of the 4. Labs are a waste a time.
Good professor, bad course. Labs are a pain. Also did better when I stopped attending the lectures... maybe something with waking at 9 to go to class... go figure
Tedious class, but important info. Post is really nice and tries to teach the material, but it just way too slow. Lectures drag and could be more interesting. Exams actually test knowledge from lectures and text- so make sure to study!
i hate this class, post make it okay she was good during office hours
she's a great teacher, really wants you to understand the material. offers extra credit (can help a lot) and the multiple choice tests are fairly easy; if u read, u should get at least a B
Dr. Post is a great professor and even though the material is a blah, she is very clear in her explanations and truly wants to make sure we understand the material. There are plenty of extra credit opportunities which is a big help.
Great instructor, very animated. Likes using students for demonstrations of concepts. This class made me decide I wanted a PSC minor

Dr. Post is probably the best professor here! She is always enthusiastic in class. She's completely approachable, provides tons of help, and is compliant to the students' needs. Her class is so easy, and you'd actually learn a lot from her class.
Clear lectures, easy labs and exams.
kinda hard...a stats class go figure but she tries her best to make it entertaining...its very good that she has lecture notes online and a lot of extra credit opportunities and she gives you some of the questions on the midterms earlier
boring lectures, she's enthusiastic, no discussion but online labs. she gives 20 out of the 50 multiple choice questions before exams. go to review sessions because it's helpful and you get the answers to those 20 questions. lectures posted before clas
she talks too slow
This class sucks (basically a statistics class) but Post is a decent teacher. The online labs, book, and lectures are pretty much useless but if you go to office hours and get help it's not that bad. Overall just a dumb class. They should really make stats a pre-req for this
Very enthusiastic and class is generally pretty intersting. Class pretty easy if you have taken stats. Tests are straightforward and very manageable if you study lecture notes posted online. Completing online labs and posters is crucial because it represents a big chunk of the overall grade.
Post is a great professor! The class is intimidating but it really is not a hard course in essence. You must be prepared to STAY ON TOP of post sessions and labs. I got a B on one of the exam with very little really understanding of the material so it is possible to get an A if you stay on top!
I hated the material, but she's a great teacher because she's so approachable and enthuastic (also has a good sense of humor).
PSC 41 is a statistics class, not psychology. Very boring, material worthless. Don't buy the book. Post is a decent teacher. She goes out of her way to help you do well (i.e. giving a bunch of extra credit), the tests were tricky but with the extra credit I managed to pull an A
great teacher, enthusiastic, super helpful, tests are pretty reasonable (50 multiple choice) and optional final
This class isnt that bad, until you get to stats. If you don't understand stats, you will have quite a few problems in this class towards the end. The directions for the project you have to do are extremely confusing and take awhile to figure out. A lot of this class is online and it rarely works correctly.
She is an awesome teacher, always willing to help and her directions are very clear, the material in this class is hard though, but she makes it bearable. I would recommend Post to anyone who has to take psc 41. I took her seminar class also so i got to know her a little bit better, and she is by far the most helpful teacher i have had at davis. :)
considering how this class can be confusing, she's really really good at explaining and very willing to help. she does a great job at making the class seem more interesting than it looks. she offers an optional final and a LOT of extra credit opportunities. take her whenever you get the chance!!!!!!
Emailed her to set up meeting bc worked during her OH...never replied. Asked about hw (reg late in class) and did not reply. always had time to email hw to class, even though syllabus was online! Finally took off work to talk to her and TA about hw and TA said she didnt know we were supposed to meet. Seemed really nice, but hard to get a hold of.
Horrible professor. Wit is down the drain with this one, and she tries really hard. Doesn't answer e-mails, and she doesn't do grading properly. For example, she gave me an Incomplete for not doing experimetrix (which I really did), yet she gave me extra credit for doing extra experimetrixes.
Very boring class. It seems like she talks because she likes the sound of her own voice, not because it is very relevant. Keep track of your RPA's and don't be afraid to ask for help, she will usually give you the answers to them. She is a very nice woman outside of the classroom (go to her office hours!). Don't buy her book, never even opened it.
no need to go to lecture... just print out the notes. do WELL on the first two midterms so you don't have to take the final. DEFINITELY get all 16 extra credit points from coglab and/or experimetrix! the research project is the only "hard" work. she does NOT curve.
Great Professor. Really hard working. I appreciate her use of MyUCDavis. Cares about her students.
While she does a good job making the class interesting, there were continuous problems with the exams, which are taken online. Not a hard class, but knowing statistics will prove helpful. Extra credit can raise your overall grade 5%.
If you took stats this class will be easy for you. But you still have to study for the exams, do all your assignments on time and you should be fine. Extra credits are awesome! Professor post is very helpful at her office hour and at her virtual one.
She's a great teacher!! she gives us extra credits, exams are all multiple choic, and she's just good at teaching, i am lucky to take her class, you should take it too!!
This quarter there was no research project, which made the class insanely easy. With 33% of the grade simply completion, and 5% EC, and the ability to drop one test, its very hard not to get an A. However, the material is extremely boring. You could not attend lecture, not read the text, and still dominate the class.
I got 78 on the first midterm, an 80 on the second midterm, all 16 ec points which are easy to get. Didn't have to take the final. All of the exams are multiple choice.
since this is her first time teacher her major subject, and it was given to her on the last minute she's a bit nervous and sometimes explain in a way that doesn't always get into your head, but very helpful in office. course is extremely hard, like a grad seminar, but totally worth it if you want to get into grad school, overall a very good course
the class was easy. take advantage of the extra credit. very understand professor. she dropped a research project because she realized taht everybdoy was having problems. very generous and thoughtful.
Excellent professor, easy class if you do the reading and do well on midterms. Make sure to do extra-credit it may determine whether you take have to take the final exam.
Extremely easy. Lecture slideshows posted online, extra credit quizzes in every class and the ability to drop one test means you don't have to come class and can probably get an A without even taking the final. The lectures could be interesting and made the topic fairly clear, textbook wasn't bad but was very expensive.
a very nice lady... not so easy exams and lots of work (for the research project).. but if you have the chance of taking her class take it.
Good experience, a little too wordy. Time consuming, not as efficient.
Professor Post has a great attitude but unfortunately the class was very disorganized. However, it was VERY easy. Even if you do not do well on the exams but do all the RPA's, you will end up with AT LEAST a B. Lectures are practically useless since it's hard to understand what she's trying to say.
Professor is good, but too wordy and lecture doesn't make sense. TAs are ok. RPAs are ok, but TAs grade too hard; midterms SUCK big time. Lecture notes & audio are online which is great.
Lecture class is boring. Labs are time-consuming and GRADED HARDCORE by TAs. Midterms are graded way too hard; the TAs are strict on on grading. Prof. Post is a good teacher, but teaches the stuff way too hard and difficult to understand.
Boring.Going to lecture is not very necessary. Just read the book and make sure you know the stuff on the study guides. RPAs and midterms are somewhat difficult but the 16 points extra credit can help your grade soooo much. Also they give answers to the study guides at the optional reviews!!
Read the textbook, and it's an easy A! 3 midterms... drops lowest... possible to not take the final... TAKE HER!
Really really great teacher. She podcasts every lecture, has many teaching assistants so someone is always available, and she holds online office hours. If you attend office hours and do the reading and EC stuff she suggests, its not hard to get an A. She's also super nice and funny and really cares about her students. Totally approachable

She's so freakin easy! read the book! its not a hard read. the reading really explains things easily. trust me on this, i'm like hella retarded or well im not a very smart person and i'm getting an A on all the exams! yay goodbye to final :D!
Very easy class. 3 midterms. gives you 20 out of the 50 QUESTIONS prior to each exam. drops the lowest score. final is optional. GIVES EXTRA CREDIT during class using PRS clickers and outside via written essays and movies. Very nice and approachable. TAKE THS CLASS!
Class is extremely easy, however Dr. Post is extremely boring. Extra credit points every class but you can only get a max of 15 points. A lot of reading in the textbook if you want to follow the lectures with the textbook. Goes through powerpoints really quickly. 3 midterms, and final, drop lowest grade. Easy class boring teacher!
super easy class. Certainly possible to get an A or higher. gives 15 pts extra credit. try to keep students awake in class with some stimulation. Very approachable, nice, and helpful. Office hours online helps alot. Gives study guide. Gives 20 quest prior exam. Highly recommend psc01 w/ Post!
She is so helpful!! i think that's what everone's saying as well. GO TO HER OFFICE HOURS. she tries her hardest to make sure that everyone understands the lesson. NOT BORING AT ALL.extra credit is niice, and she's always smiling!!! take this class if ur lucky enough!!!
I thought the class was pretty chill. Hw wasnt hard. The only big assignment was a 3-5 pg paper. Tests and final are all multiple choice and worth the same. She takes your best 3/4. Pretty good teacher. Offers extra credit that helps a lot.
GREAT for psych1, easiest class ever - never went to a full class, and got an A+. Not good for psych 41, the "textbook" was useless, the lectures did not cover everything, and overall just not a good class.
Very easy class. Tests are multiple choice. 3 midterms and a final. She drops the lowest grade so you don't have to take the final if you do well on the midterms. Lectures were always interesting and easy to understand. Limited work to do for class. Discussions before tests were very helpful. Online office hours helpful too
Class out of 300 points. Each midterm and final worth 100 points each, drops the lowest one. 15 extra credit points available from an array of activities including in class CLICKER questions. Lecture is generally interesting, she is clear as a sunny day when it comes to explaining concepts. I have an "A" My advice: READ THE BOOK to ensure an "A".
Dr. Post is a very good instructor; she thoroughly engages with the students in explaining the material. She's nice, sincere, and helpful. Attending class is not mandatory; read the text, listen to her podcasts, and review the powerpoint lectures to ensure an "A." Take note: one must complete 5 hours of psych surveys (online or in-person) to pass.
Dr. Post is very nice and gives crystal clear explanations of the material. All you really need to do is go to lecture and actively listen and probably skim through the book to keep up with the material. She posts podcasts too. Has 3 midterms, 1 final; drops the lowerst one. Would recommend you take all the midterms they are easier than the final.
reading TEXTBOOK and powerpoint slides helps u a lot!! don't just memorize the definition of terms, but u also need to be able to give an example so that u'll do well on midterms/final.
Fair tests. 3MT + Final. Each have 50 questions. Gives you 20 study questions (from the actual Exam). Book is expensive but I still got an A without using it (b/c up to 15 pts EC available). Just be sure to know all of the terms on the study guide and the 20 study questions. She's extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Very helpful during online OH.
I have to admit that Dr.Post is an excellent professor and her lectures are very interesting, but her exams are so tricky and hard. Even though she dropped one of the lowest test score but there's no curve for the class. I tried my butt off and barely survive the class. You can take her if you don't care about your grade.
It's easy if you're willing to put in a bit of effort. Go through her study guides and type up all terms and definitions while skimming through the text for a clearer understanding of those terms. Include examples in your notes. It takes a good chunk of your time, but it's really just reading. I did this and aced the MTs, so I didn't take final.
Easiest class ever, just memorize the study guide and you'll do fine. She explains a lot in class but you don't really have to go to lecture. She drops the lowest test score and gives you extra credit.
The professor does many great demonstrations and most of the time they are extremely funny. However, the class is really hard even if you do read all the assigned chapters. There is alot of memorization and the tests are often hard and she doesn't curve. Only 12 pts e.c. But you end up learning a lot in that class even though you might be failing.
Fun teacher! Very funny in class. Tells a lot of stories. Podcasts all lectures. Just study the concepts on the study guide and maybe skim the book for more information and you'll get an A on all the exams. Overall, easy class. Drops lowest exam score so you don't have to take the final if you do well on first 3 exams! Take her!
this class is a GE class = NO CURVE. three exams and 1 final- lowest grade is dropped and she only gives a maximum of 12 extra credit point which I highly recommend to do. her exams are written directly from the book- your gonna have to read and do the end of the chapter questions to get an A on her tests which are 50 multiple choice questions.
Class was way too much work for a GE class. LOTS of memorization. Your lowest test score was dropped from three midterms and a final. Make sure to do the study guide. She gives you 20 questions that are guaranteed to be on the exam. Make sure to do the 12 points of extra credit.
Great professor! Go to class, read the textbook, and use the list of terms she provides before exams to study. There are three 50-question midterms and a final (same format) - tricky but doable. She drops the lowest score (you may not have to take the final) and gives 12 points of extra credit, so it's easy to do well even though there's no curve.
I loved this class. Dr. Post is a very clear speaker and goes slow enough so you don't get lost along the way. She poscasts all of her lectures and makes them available on smartsite, which is a great way to review. She gives 2 review worksheets per exam. DO THEM! The multiple choice questions will have most of those exact questions on them.
Professor Post is incredible! One of my best professors. She tells tons of stories about her husband and from personal experience that really helps the material stick. Incredible, take her class!
She is a great instructor! Clear, sometimes wacky, loves the subject.I appreciated her for sending printable slides to go along with her lectures. She records her podcasts so if there was something you missed, you could hear it again later. Grading was fair, dropping the lowest giving 12 EX. Easy class for an A, just study those terms for midterms!
Dr. Post is a fantastic professor who really conveys information successfully to her students. She has lots of fun examples which helps retain information. There's very little use of the book. 20 study questions and terms sheet are given prior to each exam. She takes best 3 exams out of 4. Overall, a good class! But really have to do study for exam
Dr Post is great! If you keep up with what she's doing in lecture, filling out the study guide before a midterm/final is a synch! I went to office hours and ended up just chatting with her, she's a super nice lady. Her lectures are clear and easy to follow, and you learn a lot without having to slave over a textbook. Recommend!
Dr. Post knows her stuff really well and you can tell she loves it! She podcasts everything and puts up lecture slides and her tests aren't too bad but sometimes they can be a little bit tricky. Make sure to read over the book and use her study guide! She also has online office hours and puts twenty questions from the test up early to prepare :)
Not as easy as people say, can be difficult it you aren't good at memorizing. Three midterms and one final, all 50 question multiple choice. Gives you 20 questions from each test to study and study terms for each test. Drops lowest score out of the four exams. Uploads podcasts of lecture. Knows her stuff.
GREAT TEACHER!!!!! Knows her stuff.
PSC 1 is NOT an easy A, but Dr. Post is a good teacher and lectures on almost all tested material, even though reading is required. Memorization in this class is critical.
Nice teacher, but too much covered in the class to go into any interesting details. HATED THE ONLINE LEARNING. Make it an online class if you assign that much online hw!! It was unclear how they graded, there were numerous glitches, and the due dates were at RANDOM times. I got 80-90 on all tests, but 50% on HW because I hate useless assignments.
She's a good teacher, and her online office hours are really helpful so I suggest attending them. She does covered too much material in a class time. She also assigned a lot of online hw, and they were always overlapping, which made it somewhat confusing.
She is an amazing professor and makes the class very interesting. I, personally, liked the online work. It is a very fast paced class and there is a lot of reading and work but take advantage of the huge amount of extra credit and online office hours and you'll be fine. There are four exams (3 midterms and 1 final) and she takes the best 3.
Easy class as long as you keep up with the hw and reading. 3 midterms, drops the lowest one. Fast-paced. Online hw. Before every midterm, she provides 20 questions from the exam for you to figure out. She also has helpful online office hours, where if you rephrase the exam questions, she'll answer them. She's nice and shares interesting stories.
She's really awesome! She cares so much about what she is teaching. Definitely made me want to learn more.
Dr. Post is such a nice lady. She explains terms in a way that are understandable and gives real life examples. She is very clear, she posts podcasts, lecture notes, 20 midterm questions, and study guides for midterms, as well as having online office hours(she is quick to response). Truly, cares about students understanding the material.
Awesome class! The best GE I've taken so far at UCD! Book is $130 but very informative and easy-to-follow; includes online HW. Professor explanations make everything perfectly clear. In online office hours, she answers any questions you may have. As long as you read on time and understand key terms, it's easy A. I recommend everyone taking it!
This class was the best GE I have taken at the UCD! Exams are fairly easy as long as you understand material and read your textbook. I recommend everyone taking it.
Post is a great lecturer who provides a bunch of resources and opportunities to learn the material and earn the grade. Even so, the tests are quite specific so getting the A requires work.
Fantastic lecturer. Nothing more to say.
Great lecturer. Extremely helpful in office hours. Provides good examples for terms/concepts you need to know that make you remember it better. Provides lots of extra credit opps. Straight forward tests. Take her!
Really enjoyed this class. the topics are very intersting. the beginning is a little dry but after that it gets really interesting. tests are fair, if you study the material you shouldn't have any problems.however, the online hw is annoying but that's the only negative. Ask questions!!! She is super helpful and knows her stuff!!! Would recommend!
Awesome class and an awesome professor. She really knows her stuff. The upside is that she drops one of the exams, so if you do good on the 1st three then you can skip the final. Tests are fair, not super easy but not hard . Downside is there is ALOT of reading and online hw. This class has even made me consider minoring in psych
She drops 1 out of 4 exams and gives extra credit as well. Lots of online homework and a lot of information but most of it is relatively interesting so it's not bad. The exams are not easy. If you study a bit and make flash cards, you should be ok.
She is so nice! Her voice is so mom-like. :D She drops the lowest exam. She literally gives you about 20/50 questions before hand... I got an A- overall, but that did require taking time out to do online HW. I honestly didn't read the book much. DEFINITELY worth it. If you have the opportunity to take this class, take it with her!
Drops lowest exam and gives 20 questions before hand. Very nice lady. Do all the online homework cause it's a free 100 points added into your grade. Study her lectures rather than the textbook. Overall, very doable and I enjoyed the little demos she did in class to teach us about perception and memory.
She explains everything very clearly!! She is one of the best professors in UC Davis!!!
Dr. Post is extremely nice and I always enjoyed going to her lectures! The online HW can be annoying but other than that I liked the class. Make sure to study hard for the first test because it’s mostly biology based.
Out of all the classes I took at Davis so far, I always looked forward to going to Dr. Post's lectures. Her stories are so engaging and her humor will keep you awake. The con is that she requires use of online activities which costs quite a lot of money. But lots of extra credit! Easy to get an A in this class.
Professor Post is one of my favorite professor at UCD. I learned a lot from taking her Psych class. She feels like a mom and wants you to do well. Top Hat is a pain, but it makes you learn the material more. Tests are fair, and she tests you everything from the readings. Final replaces lowest test grade, which helped me. Ended up with an A-.
Lots of work! but soo easy to get an A, if u do all the reading and all the work you will and go to class you will get an A easy. If u get like real well on all 3 midterms, dont have to take final
Nice professor. Kept me interested in Psych as an Engineer. Exams were cake. Her practice exams had 10-20 of the actual test q's, and she dropped the lowest, I recall.
While the material itself is not very interesting, the class becomes even more difficult in how disorganized it is. Midterms grades aren't posted until the next midterm.
The professor is very kind, and keeps you somewhat interested in the not so interesting material. However, the class itself is VERY unorganized and the grading is very nitpicky (you miss a couple of words and you're down to -5 on the worksheets). The unnecessary difficulty-ness of the class definitely made me enjoy it less. But, Post is very nice.
She tries to keep the class interesting but the material is dry/dull. Completely disorganized. Office hours rescheduled so often (weekly) that I had no idea when they were. Online worksheets are a pain and you lose points. Drop a midterm is the only reason I kept this class. Exams not too difficult.
Unreliable, Inconsistent, Disorganized.Exams always handed out late, grades harshly w/o adequate info of expectations;HW not graded before exam - hard to prepare well, OH are often changed last minute, difficult to view previous exams, unresponsive to questions, talks about herself lots, rarely gets thru lecture material, clickers grades unfair.
Post is a sweetheart, but the class is extremely unorganized. Half of each exam is short-answer, and she never really lays out her expectations in terms of how to answer questions. Grading can be subjective, both on exams and on the online worksheets. Not a class I'd recommend taking unless you're really set on taking upper-div psych classes.
The most unorganized professors I have ever had the displeasure of having. Exams are not graded before the next one is taken, and worksheets are tedious and not graded on time either. She talks to her students like children which can be very condescending. Clicker scores are not fairly graded. The material is BORING but fairly easy.
She was a great professor, she explain concepts very well and gave examples to make it easier to understand. She had 4 exams with the lowest being dropped. She also offered extra credit, which was a plus. Make sure to do online homework as it is part of your grade, but it also helps with learning the material.
She is very organized, passionate about the subject. The course does not have a curve but test are fairly easy and there are extra credits.
She put no effort into making this class interesting at all. I know it's not meant to be thrilling but she could have at least tried to make entertaining examples. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Not the easiest subject, but she explains it fairly well. Allows you to have a note sheet, so take advantage of it. MANDATORY ATTENDANCE by clickers
