Professor Scull teaches you so much about actual life and personal finance. I feel more prepared to go into the workforce because of her. Your grade is based solely on 3 exams however she does offer plenty of extra credit. If you pay attention in lecture, read the chapters, and do all the extra credit, you will be fine. She is worth taking!!

exams questions are tricky, more than one possible answer. 3 exams make up your entire grade. There are very few extra credit opportunities, if you take this class you better do all the extra credit because you will need those extra points.

Prof Scull has been great! She makes class really involved where I get a lot of my personal finance questions answered beyond scheduled lecture. This class is so relevant to life and my financial future, + she is so fun. The structure of the class is 3 exams and extra credit, so if you don't like that don't take the class. Prof is amazing though!

I had Mrs. Scull in fall 2020 so it was completely online. Don't be fooled by the fact that I got an A in the class, this class was so hard that I had to study every day for like a week to get an A on her final exam. She only has like five quizzes and one final exam. That's it. The quizzes are very book heavy, so good luck. Just study hard!!!

Her class was very lecture-heavy. She went off on tangents a lot. Her course was based on 5 quizzes, 2 homework assignments and final (worth 50%). The homework and quizzes were pretty simple, her final exam was kinda tough. Finished w/ a B+ tho, Id recommend if you need an easy 1 credit class. It was also a half-semester course, so it went by fast

You go to class twice a week just to hear her talk in her chair for an hour and 15 minutes and write vague topics on a piece of white paper. The material covered in class is only half of what is on the actual exams. I took this class as and ELECTIVE for my MINOR and will probably finish with a C. I wish I could say I enjoyed this class, but avoid!!

Our grade was determined by 3 tests. Thats it, and that would be okay if she didn't just write random words that are not on the test on a piece of paper every class. She is a very nice lady, but the worst teacher I have ever had including high school. She does not understand the grades concept and thinks we just show up to class to chat with her.

Her notes are very scattered and shes hard to keep up with. You take notes on 5+ topics each class(which arent really notes, just phrases she writes down and she talks about it) and have a 5 question quiz about it next class. the only upside is its a half a semester class, because if i had to take it a whole semester i wouldnt have made it.

Her explanations of each topic are very brief and I would highly recommend students who will take her class to read the req. textbook & take notes from that rather than listening to her lecture.
