Shobe is very entertaining & her lectures are fun to listen to. Her quizzes are easy. The special discussion groups are interesting. It's not a hard class and it is easy to get a lot out of it. For her cognitive psych class, she does not require a textbook.

Easy class if you attend and study. Quizzes are easy if you take noted and study from it.

Was a good stat professor. Gave review sheets before the exam, and allowed you to have a formula sheet. Let you correct you mistakes for extra points. Really seemed like she liked what she taught, and wanted you to understand it.

i thought she was a great professor! she was clear and very understanding. she lectures the whole class which maybe boring at times but I actually learned something. only 4-5 quizzes.. and you dont have to take the last quiz if you are satisfied with your grade. Quizzes are not easy but if you study u will do well.

cares a lot about attendence. quizzes are rough but if you use the study guide you WILL get an A. takes forever to get grades back to you, though. usually lets you out minutes early. EXTREMELY nice. i would reccommend. she's so nice!

Fantastic teacher. Takes class seriously, and very willing to help, but keeps things serious and fair. If you do not try, you will not do well. If you do try, you'll do great and love the class. Wonderfully sweet lady

I had her for Successful Learning Strategies as a freshmen seminar. This class was extremely easy as long as you reviewed the information on the program she uses. Some information was also helpful. Even if you don't use anything from the class, it is still an easy way to get an A.

The only complaint is that she didn't return quiz grades until a while later. But there are only 6 quizzes total, no exams. She drops your lower grade, & let's you make up your second lowest grade on the last day of class. If you get an A average on the first 5, you don't have to take the final. Offers extra credit, very helpful & caring.

Probably one of the best psychology professors at Stockton. She does so much to help you. Always available for help in her office, or even just to chat. Genuinely nice person and REALLY cares about psychology. Great preceptor too.

This class really heslp for Successful Learning Strategies if you are a freshman or early undergrad and need help, or even juniors and seniors if they want to take it. She is helpful and has lots of energy. Good course.

I thought she was great. She explained everything very well and gave us study guides that really prepared us for the quizzes. The study guides were a bit long but it was worth it to do them because they really helped. I would definitely take another class with her.

Easy class, only 7 tests but you don't have to take the last one if you have a good grade. She just lectures the whole class period and all of her powerpoints are online so you can just sit there. Good class if you want an easy A with no homework. Just do the study guides for the tests because they are somewhat difficult, but all multiple choice.

Has 7 quizzes and drops the lowest grade. She explains everything in class with power points and has study guides on her blackboard. DO THE STUDY GUIDE! everything that is on the study guide is on the quiz and all answers can be found in the text easily

Loved her! Do the study guides and the quizzes will be easy. You can skip 5 classes without point deduction on your grade. You barely ever use the text book. Pretty interesting class if your into psych. I would definitely recommend her to anyone that has to take intro to psych.

I have her for stats right now. The class is complex but she tries to explain the importance of each formula. I'm in an accelerated summer session so she is really rushing through the chapters but maybe it would be better during a regular semester. If you have a question or concern you must ask or she will keep going through the lessons quickly.

Show up & pay attention to the stuff (generally stories or examples) that is NOT in the textbook, it will be on the test. Extra credit: lab experiments can add up to 8 points to your final grade AND other extra credit is offered. She drops the lowest test score. If you at least skim the text and pay attn in class, you'll do fine.

I took her for both Stats and Neurons and Networks. I had to withdraw from stats when I took it from another professor but when I took it with her I understood everything. As for her Neurons and Networks class she re-skinned the course and it is incredibly easy now. Just keep on top of the web posts you have to do and its an easy A.

I thought the course was pretty straight forward. Come to class, put serious effort into your work, and you will do well. Shobe doesn't like people who frequently miss lecture or put poor quality into their writing. There aren't any tests or quizzes in this class-just homework assignments, papers, website submissions, etc.

Shobe is great. Not in my major for psych 101 but she made it fun. Lots of extra credit chances on every quiz and overall class. Class consists of 7 quizzes, you drop the lowest one. No make ups. You need to do 2 points in psych research through the program at Stockton. Very easy. Very pleasant. Nice person!

Took this class as a requirement and I would gladly take more taught by this teacher. Her information was clear and easy to understand. She gave real-life examples so the information stuck. Her quizzes were easy if you paid attention. She was a very down-to-earth and witty professor which was a welcome relief in my classes.

For someone who does not do well in science courses, this class was difficult. It's a large lecture and it's LONG. I felt like I was drowning in the class. We bought a book that we hardly used. She gives extra credit constantly and that was my saving grace. It's probably a better class if you are actually interested in the subject matter.

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR FOR PSYCHOLOGY!!! Literally the only way you could possibly fail this class is if you purposely did not take the quizzes or didn't come to class. You do have a bit of studying to do but none of her quizzes are cumulative, she gives *TONS* of extra credit on everything, and there is no final exam or midterm!

Easiest class. I never went except for test days and still got an A. So much Extra credit and the quizzes are easy.

If you attend class and put in effort you will pass this class no problem. There were no tests, just take home quizzes, handouts, and projects. She printed the notes for you and explained them with great detail. Easy A if you attend class.

If it wasn't for Shobe handing back tests and quizzes allowing us to fix them, I probably wouldn't have passed. Stats is a hard class. DO NOT MISS CLASS you will literally get lost and fail. It is confusing to learn at first but she tries her best to help you understand. NEED THE BOOK. NEED TO PAY ATTENTION.

Dr. Shobe has very long lectures, and the material is kind of dry. There are a few quizzes in the class, but she will drop whatever your lowest quiz grade is at the end of the semester. Also she gives a ton of extra credit for each quiz. If you do all of the extra credit, you can raise a quiz grade from a C to an A. The quizzes are tough.

I was nervous about taking statistics but Professor Shobe is amazing at teaching it! Very clear and understanding of the material. I love her, she is willing to help out as much as possible as well. Stats is a hard concept to grasp for some people, I was lucky to grasp it quickly.

Shobe is so funny and nice, this class was very hard for me but she made it easy and the extra credit saved my behind. Make sure you do every extra credit opportunity. There's even an extra credit opportunity that can add 3 points to your final grade. I woulda honestly failed if there was not extra credit. I highly recommend her for intro to pysch

Great professor, first time taking a neurology course, and she made it very interesting.

intro is really interesting and shobe really knows what she's talking about with it. There's 7 overall quizzes and she drops your lowest one, just do all the extra credit and go over your notes a few times and you're good.

She is so funny and she is very sweet. She will help you when you need it and there are many opportunities for extra credit. However, she does not like when you leave in the middle of class, so please refrain from doing so until she is ready for class to end. (She ended class early often anyway)

she is very nice, but will talk to the students like she is also a student. Her lectures are very long and boring . she likes to crack annoying jokes and tell lot of stories. Do not buy textbook! the quizzes are all based on her power points.

Super easy class if you print out the powerpoints she posts on BB, take notes on them in class, do the study guide using the notes, study it, and do the extra credit. i have a 108 in her class right now and we only have one test left. 7 quizzes drops the lowest one or u could just not take the last one if you like your grade. My favorite class.

Such an easy class! She gives so much extra credit before each quiz, and don't expect to spend more than about 1:20 in her Tuesday/Thursday class. She's an absolute Gem of an instructor, a little crazy, but definitely choose her, you won't regret it!

Honestly the easiest class ever. She gives tons of extra credit if you take the time to do it there is no way you will fail the class. Only 7 quizzes no tests she drops the lowest quiz and thats it. I would take another class with Dr. Shobe in a heartbeat! She is an upbeat professor who makes a dull subject tolerable. She's well-versed in statistics and wants you to do your best, so don't be afraid to ask questions. If you don't have a background in statistics, you may fall behind if you miss class. There were 2 tests and a final project.

Professor Shobe is the best! Her lectures can be boring at points and she going off on tangents but if you want and easy class to pass take her. There are no tests only quizzes. There are only 7 quizzes and the lowest grade is dropped. Every quiz has extra credit, some only having 5 possible points but some have 35 points that can be added to quiz!

Shobe is honestly really chill, this was the easiest class I have taken she does not give any exams only quizzes, 7 of them and lowest one gets dropped each quiz has about 40pts worth of extra credit you can hand in before the class so the only way you will fail is if you are lazy. She reads right of ppt and it can be boring but its okay.

I would absolutely take her again, Intro to Psych had 7 quizzes and your lowest one was dropped. We did extra credit in and out of class towards every quiz so most students do well if you just go to class and pay attention. No homework and let us out of class about 20 minutes early every meet. Very funny and caring and tells lots of stories.

A lot of the reviews I'm seeing on here are negative, but I honestly didn't have a problem with Dr. Shobe. She can be weird sometimes and goes on a lot of tangents, but overall she's not that bad of a professor. She gives TONS of extra credit (up to 40 points sometimes) and drops your lowest test grade. There's no assignments out of class.

Entire class is a powerpoint lecture along with classwork that almost always counts as extra credit. Although the lecture can be long, she never gives homework. There are weekly quizzes that always have at least 5 extra credit points (and up to 30 points). No final, no essays, and no projects. She also requires 2 research participation points.

I absolutely loved her class! I've never been a good test taker or good with anything in realm of science but she made everything interesting and easy to grasp. She hates when people have their laptop out in class, but loves when you participate and raise your hand. She gives so much extra credit and her study guides make it easy to pass the test!

Prof Shobe is a good instructor and her textbook is easy to understand. You can retake reading questions as many times as you want and there's tons of opportunity for extra credit. No bathroom breaks allowed. She will call you out in front of the class. Take her online, not in person. Very easy A if you can get past her attitude.

She is very laid back at first. Once you cannot drop the class it gets a bit harder, but still manageable. She likes to give a lot of homework but it is fairly easy. Her quizzes are kind of hard, but if you put in time to study you will pass. She offers A LOT of extra credit. She is the reason I'm into psychology now and taking more psych classes.

Shobe was amazing. She's very easygoing and lenient on grading. I would say class attendance is not mandatory but you will get 0's for part of your grade but you can still pass with that. She does have you do a lot in pairs or groups which is refreshing. As long as you skim or read over the chapter's you'll pass the quizzes. And it's open book.

I've had Shobe for two classes now and she is by far my favorite professor. As long as you do the work , you'll be fine. The tests for this class are pretty easy and she makes sure everyone understands before moving on. She also offers test corrections so you can bump your grade up too. Also, in my class on zoom, she did call on ppl to participate.

Great professor! I really enjoyed her class! She really takes the time to explain the material, and shows she really cares about what she is teaching. She is also very understanding of students' lives and gives lots of extra credit options.

Shobe was an AMAZING professor! Gave plenty of time for assignments, assignments were pretty easy to complete, and class time was very engaging! She was very clear about what she wanted. Assignments were also very easy, and she always gave at least partial points for trying. As long as you complete the assignments, you'll get an A. Also VERY funny!

Dr. Shobe is hilarious and one of the best profs I've taken so far. She knows stats is a difficult class with challenging material to some people. She's very patient with any questions asked during class and breaks down every single step during lectures. Homework is almost always a Google survey on BB and you can make several attempts.

Shobe teaches the weirdest way possible. she never knows when to shut up and talks on and on about nothing to do for this course. she has group worksheets every class in exchange for attendance. dont have to buy a textbook she made her own online but still isnt that helpful. A little too hyper and scatterbrained in class but makes it clear on what is expected of you to pass with an easy A. Simply do the weekly forums, show up to class, and participate. Her exams aren't as tough as people make it out to be; almost all the material is from her site. Just put in the effort to actually study because the exams are no joke.

Her classes are not lecture-heavy. She goes over some lecture material but has in-class assignments that is group work to further your understanding of the material. Her quizzes are open-book and check yourself is easy homework that helps you learn the material. She gives good feedback, is open to her students, and wants everyone to pass. Easy A

Dr. Shobe is a high energy and funny person who's class is a very easy A. Her weekly chapter reads and quizzes on those chapters are easy since she made her own textbook for the class. she drops the lowest of your grades and you can skip 2 lectures without it affecting your grade so you can skip the last week of her class at the end of the semester

The classes are not even lectures, talking more so and we played a game every once in a while. You can skip three classes and it won't affect your grade and you can drop your lowest quiz grade. Quizzes are every two weeks and online and open note. If you never participate in class you'll be fine. She is so goofy, its fun to get to know her.

You either like her or you hate her. Become one of her favorites or just show that you actually care even just a little and she'll be nice to you. Talk in her class and ask redundant questions and she'll hate you. 3 take-home tests and she allows for test corrections. Just try, and you'll literally be fine.

Professor Shobe was super easy to take, there is a quiz every other week and simple assignments due every week. The lectures were boring but I would take her again if I had to.

I loveee Shobe! This is the second class I have had with her and picked her because I had her for intro to psych. Many people in my class who "aren't good at math" did good in this class. She made all the lectures easy and would let us out early most days. Definitely take her!

Please take if you want an easy intro to psych! The worst part was the 50 question (open note) quizzes but being let out early every class, super easy assignments and lots of extra credit made up for it. She provides the textbook she made and goes over the difficult chapters in class so you're prepared for the quiz.

Though she isn't the best lecturer, Shobe wants you to pass, she drops your worst test, 3 of your worst homework's and a few class grades. And the lowest grade you can get is a 40 instead of a 0. At the end of the semester she offers 8 grade points of extra credit

dr shobe is great! the class had 100 kids so it did not feel very personal but she is a great professor (and preceptor for me). very kind and helpful.
