A good teacher to take for COM 111. She is young so she understands and is helpful to students. Tests are departmental for all COM 111 classes, and she grades fairly easy on speeches. Take her if you are not sure of who to take.

great class, EASY!!

Kinda a hard class. The test are really hard but go to the books website and take thiers it make studying easier. Go to her and get her to look at your speeches there are 5 she will fix alot of your errors. But she is nice, helpful and hot!

mid term and final suck becasue they are departmental. very helpful and nice. she gives you a lot of time to prepare for speeches and if you take it to her before class, she will look over it and correct it. excellent teacher

Her lectures correlates with the book whenever it comes to test time. The speeches are easy because you get to pick what you want to talk about as long as it fits her criteria. I highly reccomend her.

I don't know why students get on this board an tell lies. She is a really nice professor. The test were challenging, but she is a joy to be around. If you go to class and do good on your speeches, you will pass the class.

I took her in the summer and loved it. You have to do the work and read a little, but she is very helpful and clear about what she wants in the speeches. I got an A. Speeches are graded easy. READ the book before the exam and you'll do fine!

Her class is great. She is a great speaker herself and if you follow her lead and keep up with speeches and tests, you will be fine.

Great teacher, difficult/tricky departmental exams, 5 easy speeches, fun classes. Took night class and enjoyed it. Decide for yourself.

I loved this class and Mrs. Spradley was a great prof. to have for it. I learned so much and had more fun in her class than in any of my previous classes at SFA. If you need a Comm credit I would strongly advise taking her class. She rocks!!

Great teacher! Very helpful and understanding about speeches. She makes you feel comfortable in front of the class and doesnt grade too hard. The tests are hard, but they're departmental and theres nothing she can do - gives a good review before the test. She wants students to succeed.

The class is easy and she grades fair on the speeches. You do have to prepare a little in advance and you can make an easy A.

The class itself is not difficult. She wants her students to succeed. Gives/takes points for attendance. Read the syllabus and follow the directions and you should do well.

VERY EASY! she's nice too

The class itself might of been difficult if i had it with a different teacher, like my friends. Made the speech process fun, and tried in every way to help us out if anything went wrong. She gives extra points for attendence and if you go to the speech competition, and she gives you grade reports so you know how your doing.

She's adorable. Class wasn't too hard, outlines are kind of a pain. Tests really aren't that bad as long as you study. I hate public speaking and made an A.

She is so nice and will help you with anything. The tests are hard but its a department test so every teacher gives it. The speeches make up most of your grade so if you do good on those you have it made! Very good teacher!

Great teacher. tells you exactly what she expects for a speech and is very willing to help you.. just stop by her office and ask her whatever you need to know. Test is not that bad... just do the review at the end of the Speaking Out Textbook and use some common sense and you should be fine!

She is a great professor and a really nice person. She is willing to work things out if you are out sick. She helps whenever you need it... the class was super easy and the test weren't hard if you did the study guides in the speaking out workbook.

Really good professor. Hot too. Class consist of 5 speeches and 3 tests. She makes the speeches really easy, explains them real well. Tests are easy too, review guide in the book helped just fine.

Class is not hard, just show up and do the work. Speeches are not hard, just follow the pattern she gives you, tests are easy, just use the CD that the book came with to study, quizes are online and straight out of the book = easy. If you go to class and do the work, you should not get less than a B.

ms spradley is a really cool teacher..if you do the work and are confident in your speeches you will get a good grade.. i would definately take her class again

If you do your speeches how she tells you to in class then its a piece of cake, seriously. Shes so nice and helpful. She may seem a little strict to some people, but its only because they didn't do what she asked. The tests arnt that bad either because of the study guides in the Speaking Out book. the whole class very straight forward :)

There were 3 tests and 5 speeches. The tests were pretty easy, use the study things on WebCT, that helps more than reading the book. As for the speeches, as long as you do what she says, you will get a good grade. Write your speeches as soon as you can and practice them ALOT. It sucks having to say a speech you've only read through twice!

good teacher took her online u just have to study the material given lectures powerpoints, and read books.the classroom may be easier!

I really dislike public speaking, so i wasnt too happy about taking this class. but the speeches are fine, just dont wait till the last min, do what she says and everything should be fine. Lectures are just really boring and repetitive.

She is a great teacher. Go to class and actively listen while she lectures. Attendance is a plus. you may not think she is taking role but she learns her students names and will do it after class or during group work.

She is awesome. It was a May-mester class, so 3 hours a day is never fun, but she makes it bearable. Very easy to listen to and VERY easy on the eyes! Take her if you can. Sure you have to go to class and do the work, but every class is that way. Just do the work. Its not hard,

This class and Prof. are extremely difficult, and take a lot of time and work. However the class is fun and well wort the time.

She's easy to understand. Will let you go super early if you have one class a week. You will have to write essays. They're not bad though since they can all be first person. Slow at posting grades, but I loved her. She teaches in a great manner and the tests are online. So take really good notes from the book.

She's great. Lots of homework/ textbook reading. Tests are online so you can look at your notes. She lets you go early if you have a long class (ex one class per week). Usually an hour to an hour and a half early.

Took this course online but still did very well. She is clear in her instructions and what is required for each assignment. Has flexible office hours, I was able to see her last minute for help on a paper once. Everything online, able to use book on quizzestests.

Mrs. Spradley is very particular on what she wants to see in writing assignments and speeches. If you follow her instructions exactly and give a lot of detail, you'll do great! She loves people who go above and beyond. Be sure to go to her office hours if you ever have questions because she is great 1-on-1.

You do a lot of group things in class and a few out of class. You must participate. Also, you have to do quizzes and writing assignments to pass.

Shes very straightforward and clear. Speeches are not too long (max 5 minutes). Group speech over assigned topic during midterm. Final speech is the only impromptu one. Has to be 2 minutes. Very easy class and she is a great teacher.

Loved her as a person and a professor! Super personable and really helpful if you go to her office hours. She had clear rubrics for every speech so you knew exactly what you had to do in order to do well. She graded fairly, we usually got out of class early, and she worked to make it as interesting as she could.

She's a great person and really wants us to succeed. Her lectures are kind of boring which is ironic since that's what she's teaching us. The speeches are easy but the tests and quizzes are a little harder but it's online and you can use the book so it's not that hard.

There are about 6 discussion posts and 2 essays but no tests except for the final. No speeches! These are all turned in online, and most of the time, you won't have class on the day they're due. She is a really nice professor. Class is lectures with slideshows and writing on the white board, and some activities are interactive.

She is a great professor, but taking this class online is A LOT of work. Participating in the online course requires an enormous amount of reading and discipline. She is a slow grader, however, gives excellent feedback and is helpful. I really liked her overall.

Dr Spradley is a very good professor. Her tests are really hard, but they're all online. She grades very nicely on speeches and is good a lecturing, very nice professor and great at teaching!

She is a really caring person. You do not really have any lectures in this class. It is mainly about the speeches but she does not grade hard. As long as you meet the criteria on the grade form, you will do well in this class. I would take her if you get the chance.

The class definitely helped me break out of my shell but it wasn't the easiest. The professor was super nice but the lectures were kinda lengthy and repetitive.

She was a good teacher. I took in an online 8 week version for Interpersonal communication with a few zooms here and there. Easy work IF you read the textbook. Work not hard if youre used to AP/harder classes. A bit of writing.

Overall relatively easy class if you're good at giving speeches. She didn't give much time between assigning speeches and the dur date, but she grades speeches very relaxed so even bad speeches got okay grades. There were some quizzes over textbook reading but they were open-book. She also took awhile to respond to emails.

Dr. Spradley is one of the kindest professors. She makes an effort to personally know all of her students. She's very understanding and practical. Although the subject that she teaches is not very interesting to me, she made it bearable and attempted to do things to keep us interested. My only complaint is that she takes forever to grade.

She was great at explaining what is expected from the student to be successful in this class. Textbook is provided so that was great to not have to purchase a book for a 4 week class. Grades were up fast, and she was always available to respond to any questions.

Dr. Spradley is a very good professor. She responds to emails and questions quickly and has an easy-to-follow class structure/outline. Very easy to follow along during lecture and overall loved her class.

Her class is organized, and the online textbook is free. We had a quiz every week that was taken at your own time and around three writing assignments throughout the whole semester. The semester exam was online and all multiple-choice. She has a lot of passion and is always willing to help. Take this class with Dr.Spradley!
