she is a great professor. i didnt think she was hard and so did alot of my class mates. she gives homework but there not hard. shes very laid back and easy to talk to. she makes the class intersting and she makes sures everyone understands.

Great teacher. Makes the class fun, interesting and comfortable. May seem as though the work is hard and overwhelming, but it really isn't as long as you stay focus and on track.

As long as you show up and do the work you should be fine. Try not to take as a night class. It drags. She will help you out a lot! I learned so much from this class!

Teacher is extremely helpful. however, she gives ALOT of homework. if you attend class and Do the work you will not have any problems understanding and passing the course.GREAT TEACHER!!!

she is incredible.out of all the teachers that have ever taught me in my whole school career(including high school and middle school) i have never learned so much from one class and one teacher. she is very easy to talk to and she keeps the class entertained. she is the best teacher that has ever taught.

This professor is awesome. She is great at what she does and wants to help her students. The class is easy as long as you do your homework..I have fun every time I go to class.

She is an amazing teacher and always there to help. You have to do homework to maintain a good grade. She is alway doing helpful things to make the students life easier. She also relates topics to interesting things. Required novel is a bit far fetch and can become a drag but not hard at all. She is a really well rounded teacher. Take her!

Having Prof. Wilber as a teacher was awesome! Don't expect to sit back and float through this class, she makes you work but its all worth it! She has a sense of humor, and is SO helpful with all the work. Show up, particiate in class, take her suggestions and do your work/labs and you can't go wrong!

GREAT teacher.. Truly understands her students. Be prepared tp work. If you do everything she asks from you theres no reason you wont pass. Very funny and cares for her students. Had a great time in her class and wishes she taught more :)

Professor Wilber is very professional. She has an expectation of her students and you must live up to it. Do all of the assignments and you will get the rewards. Don't expect to lay back and do nothing.

Mrs. Wilber bis a great teacher, I learned alot in her class everything was helpful and needed the information she gives us is something to remember threw life because it's basically about what we do in the real world. I wanted to take her this semester, but my shedule didn't work as planned....love her great teacher.

I really fell like I learned a lot leaving her class. I highly recommend you taking her if you are taking SLC strategies. She is a very cool laid back teacher; but, when it comes down to work she is on top of it. Her teaching style to me fits any learning style. The class is fairly hands on.

ONE OF THE BEST TEACHERS I HAVE HAD AT PBSC GARDENS. Very clear on what she expects from you and is extremely helpful! I took her again the next semester for REA0017. Very friendly and funny. I absolutely loved her!

DON'T TAKE the class if you're lazy, unmotivated, and you hate homework. You will fail within the first week. Lots of homework each night, writing assignments once a week. And a lot of vocab to know. So, if what I said applies to you go back to high school reading. I loved her though and I earned my perfect grade :D

I love Professor Wilber. She's super helpful and clearly explains what she expects from students. This class requires a strong commitment, you will have homework everyday. If one misses a class it is very difficult to catch up. Wilber takes learning seriously and goes the extra mile to teach students. It's a difficult class but definitely worth it.

You have to work for your grade, but she makes the class fun. You definitely get a lot of homework, but if you mange your time well, it can be down. She is always willing to help and gives extra credit.

She's nice and approachable. She gives out a lot of work that she sometimes doesn't collect, but you'll learn so much from her. Don't get discourage by the workload because as long as you do it, she will reward you.

great teacher. can come off strong at times but that is because she is very passionate about reading, writing and teaching. her famous line is "i don't give students grades, they give themselves the grades." so just show up ON TIME to class, participate, ask questions and youll pass no problem. she also gives a fair amount of extra credit.

Her class is A LOT of work, but she is a very sweet and caring professor. If you need help she's always there with open arms and will help you with any question you have. The class is definitely not an easy A, but as long as you do all your homework and study for the tests, you will have no problem passing her course. Highly recommended!

She is a great teacher. Sometimes it can be too much homework but it really does help. I notice that sometimes she do mess on the negative and positive signs so we had to keep telling her to change it but it was whatever. She does let you know what you have in class like once a month. Exam was very EASY. She graded it in front of you.

Professor Wilber does give a lot of homework, so be prepared to put in work. She is very helpful and available when needed. I would recommend this professor.

Amazing Professor, be prepared to work

Very clear guidelines from the beginning. Works with you and answers emails quickly. She wants you to succeed. Can be a lot of homework but not difficult. I also only have her once a week. You will read a lot. Class is interactive and questions are welcome. Definitely taking again for ENC1102

I would recommend this teacher, she is great. She gives a descent amount of homework , she makes you think and is very helpful. The class is not boring at all, it is actually interesting.

She is a great teacher! She gives you a number of assignments. Don't expect to not get homework. The class was not boring at all. She helped improve my reading skills. Her critical readings are quite challenging. I would recommend her.

If you're lazy do not take her class she makes you work for your grade.

You own your grade, she expects a lot from her students and is truly passionate about her students learning. I fell in love with John Grisham because of her. Be prepared to read, write and have a heavy homework load, but it is worth it at the end.

okay in my opinion shes a good professor but mentally i was ready for the work load but a lesson learned. i honestly would take her again just to show her i can pass her class.

Professor Wilber doesn't play around and is a tough teacher but she is also very helpful and cares whether you pass or fail. Go to her for help and she will do as best she can. No tests or quizzes really. She grades off academic paragraphs, essays and participation. Amazing professor, I had her for both ENC1101 and ENC1102

Really teaches you how to be a good writer. The books you have to read in class are very readable. But she has a political agenda even though its a writing class. If you do not have the same opinion as her it will be harder to get the grade you want on your

Professor Wilber is a solid professor. She posts all of her assignments online for clarity and gives us a good direction to write in. What I loved about her is that she is very open and responsive to the class topics which makes it easy to participate in. Lots of work, but lots of learning.

Professor Wilber is a brilliant professor at Palm Beach State. She really wants you to learn and in class that's what she focuses on. She explains questions students have in class and answers all questions about assignments. She will always give you feedback and help. She is not a tough grader but she goes by her rubric so pay attention to that.

By far the best professor i ever had while at pbsc, super caring and makes you really think about what your doing not just busy work. i owe her for making me the writer i am today she is absolutely terrific !!!

Only has 3 essays to write but they will be the most demanding essays you will write. She tells you exactly what she expects from each essay you write and gives proper feedback on how to improve your grade for the next essay.

By far the best professor I ever had honestly I wish she taught all my classes. She is caring and helpful. I took her for 1101 and 1102 and both semesters she was very accessible and you get the grade you deserve

I use to dread writing and i wasn't really good at writing essays until i took her class. she pushed me and got me really interested in writing. she's taught me more than any english teacher has ever taught me.

I had professor wilber my first 2 semesters at pbsc and I loved her! she really helped me with all my writing assignments and helped to make me a better writer! she is by far the best!! I would strongly suggest taking her, its college you have to put in some effort the only reason you would struggle in this class is if you don't apply yourself.

Professor Wilber is a great teacher and does her best to help those who WANT to pass. If your willing to put in the work and use your resources such as her office hours, which by the way she gives candy, then you'll be fine. The class consists of journals from readings and 3 major essays.

FYI dont take this class if your taking multiple other classes. She's a good teacher, tough grader, but she helps you improve your writing. You have to put in the work for a good grade. Lots of essays & journals to do. This semester was kind of stressful bcus of her class but I would take it again bcus I actually saw improvement in my writing.

A really good class if you're willing to do the work OUTSIDE OF CLASS(meaning going to labs and having help from others), so being lazy will quickly get you a C or below because she is a tough grader and half-assed stuff will receive the grade it deserves.

Professor Wilber is an amazing and her methods of teaching far surpassed my expectation. She is by far the BEST English teacher I have ever had and she DID NOT make anything more difficult than it needed to be. I would take her classes as many times as i could if it would get me credit!! Hands down Professor Wilber is amazing!!!

Also I took this class during the summer for 8 weeks. Since the class was shorter and fast paced, it became difficult, but professor Wilber is the best and understanding.

Contrary to popular belief, this professor is perhaps one of the best professors PBSC has. I strongly recommend that you take this professor if you want to become a better writer. She has taught me more about writing than any other teacher has in my entire High School career. When we switched to remote learning, she became very lenient. A- rating.

I see a lot of negative reviews for Prof Wilber. She is misunderstood. If you are lazy and do not put any effort into your work, then you will not do well in her class. I was skeptical to take her class due to the reviews, but if you want to improve the way you write then I suggest taking her. She really cares and is always available for students.
