Enjoyed this class immensely. She is a great teacher. Very much a Democrat. You will learn a lot about the government and how it works, which is very pertinent and relavent to what is going on today in the government today.

She is a great teacher. She is very informative on what to study for exams. She is liberal but fair and understanding. I am completely conservative, yet still found her class to be enjoyful. I reccomend taking her.

Wonderful professor and woman. Clearly teaches objectives. Class is always interesting and you'll look forward to attending. She is liberal, however is un-bias. Pay attention and you'll do great.

This professor was awesome. She is not biased unless you are completely irresponsible and explains everything very clearly. She is a "liberal nut job" but shes very smart and an awesome person. You will learn alot from her class and test are a little tough but gives good notes nad lectures. Always willing to help out students!

Williams is pretty cool and makes class interesting.HW assignments take time 2 do but its a complete chapter review.Make copies b/c you may not get some back before exams.She will take assignments up to 1 week late w/only a reduction of one letter grade.Exams-Come 15 mins or late and you wont be allowed to test;but u can take test n her other class

Although she describes herself as a liberal feminist...don't let this scare you off! I'm very conservative and I came to like her very very much! She's a great teacher - very open to discussion. HW and exams are kind of hard... but just make sure you give yourself plenty of time to do/study. Attendence is HUGE. I loved her....Highly recommend!

Dr. Williams is an excellent professor. She does a great job going over the subject matter. The homework might take some time to do, but it's worth it to do because the test will come from it. I thought her class was great. She was helpful as long as you showed you cared.

Amazing teacher. Thoroughly enjoyed her class. Although her test were a tad bit difficult she is easy to communicate, knows alot about everything political, and over all is just the sweetest person. She expects you to be on top of your stuff, but is very helpful if troubles arise during the semester. I def recommend her for gov if you want to learn

Sweet lady but she doesnt take crap off students. She is EXTREMELY liberal but it makes for great discussion. HW is long but not hard it is basically just looking up the answers in the book. 2 tests and one non-cumlative final that she gives reviews for all. They are easy if you study. I would reccommend her to anyone.

Great instructor but she is HARD! Do all the homeworks and start them early because they take time. Start her only paper a few weeks ahead of time and get her to review early. If you have a 95% or better you are exempt from the final.

I knew nothing before i took her class. She is very helpful! Her powerpoints save your life! She gives great homework reviews, and the exams are almost everything that was on the review. The only thing that i thought was hard were her quizzes.

I absolutely loved her. Best professor i have ever had at sfcc. Yes, she may have her views but by no means does she try to push them onto other people. I really enjoyed going to her class and although you do have to study hard and do all the work, you won't mind doing it. I would recommend her to anyone. She ROCKS!

Yes her powerpoints are helpfull but she also makes questions hard,and uses single word to change concept.She loves to waste atleast the 1st 15-20 minutes of class talking about her personal life.I also took it very personally for her not giving extra credit points to those who could not vote(international students???)

Amazing professor. Brillant woman who goes well out of her way to help invested students succeed. Be forwarned though, lazy students are not well tolerated and will not get any breaks. Dr. Williams is wonderful, I always looked forward to attending her class. Lively and provocative discussions. Best professor at Santa Fe Community College!

Professor Williams is amazing. She is so passionate and she really knows this topic. She gives homework, but its college, so get over it. Tests are easy and she will do ANYTHING to help you succeed. I took her class as a transient for summer and she is by far one of the best professors I've had. Worth the work, she also rounded my 88 to an A.

Pretty good teacher. All of her notes, powerpoints and assignments are online. Reading the textbook isn't very necessary. Long homeworks, but if you do them, it helps your grade. Difficult tests. You really gotta study! But she's pretty interesting. Diehard liberal, but open to other opinions. Acknowledges the value of every political belief.

I took her for POS2041 in the Spring and she made me have my minor as polisci. I then took her this Fall for POS2112 and she is absolutely amazing. Definitely one of the best professors at SFC. Gives useful power points to you via the internet, and I highly recommend reading the chapters in the book. She is a liberal, but is open to everything.

She was a great teacher. She kept me very entertained. Lots of jokes, but she tends to tell the same stories several times. She gives good examples and real-life scenarios. She's fantastic. I highly recommend her. Her tests are rather difficult though, so study hard! :)

Its definitely not an easy class though. you must be attend class and her homework is killer but she has AMAZING review sheets and if you just take a little time to study and do homework you'll get a good grade

Easy class if you go and take notes. Power points are very helpful on tests and quizzes. She gives an exam review before every test and if you know how to answer every question on it you will definitely get an A on the test. The quizzes are easy as long as you read the chapter. You can get over 100% on homeworks if you give a lot of detail.

It was a very interesting class! she really wants everyone to pass and to get a good grade, but that is not an easy task. she will help you as much as she can and will go out of her way to make your you learn the material. the homework is really tough, and takes a lot of time. if you are not afraid of working hard. i would recommend her.

Awesome professor and Interesting lectures. Homework is hard (slackers beware) but exams are multiple choice. Offers Extra credit and is invested in the success of her students. To do well in this class you will need to use the textbook heavily. I enjoyed this class very much and found her to be a really nice/awesome professor!

Amazing teacher! She knows how to make you interested the class. Also, just so you know she is very liberal and biased, so don't freak out. Overall, you will earn a good grade by lots of studying and reviewing.

Dr. Williams is my favorite liberal, we had great discussions in class. I found the class to be easy, not a lot of homework, but a couple of papers. I had a 101% average in her class after the second exam and all papers graded, so she excused me from the final and the final quiz. I never used book just studyed power points and her study guides.

The kindest professor ever! Teaches her subject very clear and is very knowledgable on the information she presents. She is understanding so if you ever have a conflict with anything she will provide a make up or extra credit for you. Very fun and interesting I never got bored during class time. I would recommend this professor for any class.

Dr.Williams is a very strong liberal and she shows it. All of her assignments are easy to get an A on but her tests are killer. The homework is very time consuming. I took her for summer A and wish the course was longer. If you want to learn take her. She is difficult.

Although I'm not much of a history/government person, I really enjoyed this class. Dr. Williams taught very well and helped her students in anyway she could. She never judged us on our ideologies even if she disagreed. She was very respectful and had some great stories to tell. It was great learning experience but enjoyable at the same time.

This class isn't easy, but if you need help she WILL help. She says the reading is a must, but I focused mostly on the vocab and did fine. Pay attention to lectures because she'll mention stuff not in the book that will be on the test. SHOW UP. Don't do poorly because she WILL call you out. No final if you have the highest grade!

Go through her power points and then read and material in the book that pertains to the material. You do not have to read each chapter throughout.

Dr. Williams is a fabulous instructor who is passionate about her work, and as long as you keep up in class and the text book you'll do fine.

Dr. Williams is an incredible professor. I absolutely LOVED this class. She does get off topic but they are great stories and it is nice to have a teacher that is genuine. If I would have taken this class when I first began in college, my career path would have went into another direction completely. Her tests are tough, make sure you study!

Dr. Williams, contrary to her rating, is not a difficult professor. There are weekly online quizzes that you can ace with the book, and a few tests that she gives you a thorough study guide for. If you aren't a lazy idiot you'll do well. BEWARE: If you happen to be a lazy idiot, she will let the class know. She doesn't handle private matters well.

If you study and pay attention to the lectures, then you will succeed in her class. She is very friendly and loves teaching. Don't expect this to be an easy A, you have to work for it! I would HIGHLY recommend taking her class.

I loved taking Dr. Williams. I don't know if it was her or the class itself but I ended up changing my major to poli sci after this semester! Her exams are hard but not if you study what she tells you to. I recommend Dr. Williams especially if you're interested in government and politics!

Dr. Williams is absolutely the best professor I've ever had. Took her in fall 2016 and gave me an amazing first impression of SFC. I typically can't stand history courses but she made me genuinely excited to learn gov at 8am. A decently tough course but every bit worth it. Do your work and reach out to her if you're having trouble. She was amazing!

Shes a great professor. The class wont be super easy but if you just try it wont be that hard either. Shes very clear on what to study on for tests and what she needs for papers. It you follow the guidelines its an easy A. Beware she is VERY liberal but open minded and not offensive to other parties.

The class itself is essentially either writing down notes from lectures and watching videos; and it usually helps to take down notes on the videos as they do come on the test at times. There are two exams excluding the final and one essay. Dr Williams herself is very easy going and shows great attentiveness to the subject matters that she teaches.

Dr Williams is a very fair professor, and will work with you if you run into problems in your personal life, but her exams are tough. She gives all of the material for the exams on her study guides, which tends to be very lengthy.

Prof. Williams is awesome! When I first signed up for her class I thought I would hate it since I'm not into politics but she is very fair and is willing to work with her students. She actually cares and tries her best to make sure to at least pass the class. She is all about EXTRA CREDIT. Although her tests are long, you can bounce back.

Liberal professor, who is actually very fair when it comes to grading opposing points of views, however be prepared to hold up your Arguement with facts and solid information if you oppose her in class

Professor Williams drops your lowest grades on quizzes & revel, one essay, plenty of extra credit. It was an easy course as long as you try a little.

She is a really easy going teacher, but doesnt mean you dont have to try. You have to take quizzes every week based on what you read but dont worry the quizzes are on canvas. She gives you a clear study guide so just make sure to use that and study! Also, she is a liberal and she does make it very known but shes not extreme or anything.

The online book is only mean for quizzes. Topics are then reviewed later. Tests are kind of challenging, make sure to study. Lots of fun personal stories that make the class interesting.

Professor Williams is a very good teacher, but is lecture heavy. You learn all the material from lectures. She is very specific with what will be expected on tests and quizzes along with giving you a test review for each test that is very similar. Class is 3 exams, 3 quizzes, one essay, and two other assignments.

She is a truly amazing lecturer, she is extremely knowledgeable. The only thing that made me uncomfortable was how she will put you in the spot in front of the class if you dont have good grades. I Find that somewhat humiliating. But if you pay attention to lecture and stay objective, you should be fine.

The study guides are really long but she will go over them before the test. 1 class essay start it early there are revel quizzes once a week that are online and then about 5 in class quizzes. Also does court simulations but they dont take long

Dr. Williams is definitely not an "easy A." However, she truly does care about the success of her students. FOR STUDENTS WHO STRUGGLE WITH AMERICAN HISTORY, you will need to put in work, but you should be able to succeed if you devote some time. FOR STUDENTS WHO AMERICAN HISTORY comes natural to, you should do fine. U HAVE TO COME TO CLASS TO PASS.

I really enjoyed her as a professor. She makes class very interesting and keeps her students involved. She makes her political beliefs known but she wont bash you for opposing views. Attendance is very strict. You cant miss more than two classes all semester. I highly recommend her.

Prof William's class was pretty enjoyable and I feel that I now have a better understanding of the way American government functions. She is extremely passionate about her political and other personal beliefs. Attendance is very strict. Be thorough in your studying. If you are strongly conservative, she might offend you so be weary.

Great professor, really enjoyed taking her class. Professor Williams really encourages class discussion and questions, which I love in a learning environment. Professor Williams preaches that she is a stickler with attendance, which I really respect, but when I have had to miss class and told her why she has been very understanding. Recommended.

I took this class because I wanted to learn about Gov and I truly did! Dr. Williams' lectures are very clear and her tests are based on them. The tests are hard, if you do not study, but manageable. She genuinely cares about her job and her students, and wants to help you if she can. Hard class, but amazing professor. I learned a lot!

Dr. Williams' is an excelent teacher. Her lectures are very clear and helpful, she is very kind with their students. Quiz are not so difficult but you need to study and test are pretty hard. She give some extra points activities. I would recommend Dr. Williams for any class but specific for POS2041.

The professor was great! 3 exams (including the final). One paper about the Constitution (Very important for pass the class). Five quizzes, easy if you prepare and read the powerpoint. Also, have short quizzes every weekend (are very easy). I would take any other classes with her because she is super great!

Go to class, study the power points and exam review, and do the extra credit. Prof. Williams wants her students to succeed but you have to put in the effort. Assignments: 1 paper on an amendment, a few essay-style prompts, 2 in class exams and a final (study!), text quizzes online (easy) and in class quizzes (study!).

She is a fantastic person, honestly I loved to hear her talk about her past memories and how politically involved she was in her city. She has no fear giving her opinion, which made it interesting as well. But overall, just be on top of your stuff, you need to work for your grade, and if you slip behind it will all pile up.
