Yes she has a thick accent, but you can't beat those take home tests. What other teacher would give u one? Plus she was willing to help u if u werent getting the material.

I knw she has an accent but she is a great teacher. I love the way sge teaches and the test are almost like the review....one of the best math teachers i ever had.

Dr. Ivanova is a great teacher. She is a bit difficult to understand, but she is very clear in her explanations. She is very willing to help her students succeed. All you have to do is ask her if you don't understand something. She will meet you in the chat room to go over whatever problems you are having. She gives 200% to her students.

Great professor, she has a unique way of simplifying complex material, take home quizzes and sample tests are very helpful, lots of extra points. Highly recommend.

This proffesor is really nice.. She knows her math very well and is willing to go out her way to helo you... Although she is very helpful, sh has a strong acsent which can make it hard to understand her while she teaches.

She is certainly nice. She knows math very well. If you put attention is easy understand her accent. You just need practice the sample-test and take home quizzes. She put exactly the same test. She only changes the numbers. Also, she is very supportive. I took this class express and was very easy.

She is a great professor! She really wants you to learn the material and if you don't understand it she will gladly give you extra help.However, she does have a strong accent but she is still a great professor so I recommend her.

She does have a little accent but it isn't that hard to understand what she's saying. She spend a lot of class time going over examples for the lessons. She gives the option of mymathlabsolving on the board for e.c.. Her tests are pretty much EXACT to her quizzes so study those. Sometimes she has an issue putting in grades so keep tabs on yourself

Great Teacher! I would not recommend the Hybrid format of college algebra, it is a lot more "on your own" work, however, it is absolutely doable. Prof Ivanova is always there to answer your questions and is an extremely kind and understanding Professor.

I also took her for MAC1105 and in both classes she was great. Has an accent, so pay attention to what she's saying. VERY helpful and sweet, will respond to emails fast and works to help boost your grade with extra credit. Participation matters since she'll give extra credit for it. The tests are exactly like the take home quizzes so do them.

Has an accent but not hard to understand. She goes fast but always will listen to you to slow down or go over questions or lessons over again. She gives test review worksheets before every test that looks just like the test. She will go over any questions before the test. You need to do homework assignments online for every lesson. I liked this professor even though math is my worst subject. She was very sweet and caring and she would even help you during a test if you went up to her and asked her questions. Her test reviews and almost the exact same as the test so just study the reviews. No midterm which was helpful, accumulative final. She gave a lot of extra credit.

Math is my worst subject and she is the first teacher that gave me B in the class. She gives out a lot of opportunities for extra credit. She has a heavy accent but speaks clearly. She really tries to help you pass by helping you on tests. She gives take home quizzes that are exactly like the tests. She is really sweet.

Math is my Worst subject and by the grace of god I managed to pull off an A. I took this class as a Hybrid & most of the tests were online (thankfully) so I used my notes. Be warned: she had a VERY thick accent. However, she really CARES about your grade. If you ask for help, extra credit, time extension, make-up test she is very lenient & fair

I took Finite math online this semester and I was hesitant because I don't do well in math. Professor Ivanova is really there to help you if you need it and she gives a lot of videos/tutorials that help a lot. The quizzes you can take as many times as you want and you get 2 attempts on each home test. 2 of the tests are in testing center.

At least one hw assignment a week, maybe four tests including final? Never browser lockdown and only had to go to testing center 2X. final can be taken anywhere which is nice. Teacher is sweet&kind

She is great. Really wants to make math easier for students cause it is a hard class. She really tries her hardest to make it easy. I took her hybrid class and was able to take tests online which helped a lot. I would take her again.

Although her strong accent is difficult to understand at times, she is more than willing to help you get the grade that you want. Lectures are difficult, but she makes notes on Blackboard that will allow you to understand the topic from home. Easy A.

Her class was so easy! You just need to pay attention and do all the extra credit she gives a lot! People kept leaving 15 min prior to class ending and she would get mad and give extra credit to those who stayed. Shes super nice. Maybe one or two homework assignments per week. You can take the tests and final anywhere which is super convenient. Only four discussion posts out of the whole semester! She helps out a lot if you ask. She is super sweet and caring! Always wanting to help her students! Take her!

Super easy class. We didnt need a textbook just a math lab code, very heavy on mathlab. Weekly homework thats normally less than 20 questions, 4 tests all taken at home except 1. She does a lottttt of extra credit. Has a thick accent but I could still understand her, she genuinely cares about her students success. Take her !!!

As a nontraditional student, I highly recommend this class. The professor is flexible with due dates (w/ a 5% penalty) and gives you extra credit to ensure you are able to get the best grade possible!

Professor Ivanova is great. She genuinely cares about helping you succeed and tries to help you the best she can. Just show up to class, do your work, study, and you will do great. She is great at explaining what youre doing wrong and how to fix it as well, which is very helpful.

I took her class fully online and we mainly used MyLabMath. The 5 tests are through Lockdown Browser. Learning the material was difficult at times, but I found that MyLabMath questions can show you an example of the problem which you can learn before attempting the real one. She is very sweet and is always there if you need help with any problem.

Homework assignments are self explanatory, she gives you time to make them up with 5% deduction. Tests require a camera and are multiple choice so again, easy. There are also some discussions where you have to share your methods of finding answers. The textbook isn't a requirement, you can learn the lessons from the homework.

This class was more difficult than expected. It was a lot of homework. I honestly don't recommend it if you have trouble learning math. Since, you basically have to teach yourself. I almost failed the class but she gave me a lot of extra credit and that boosted my grade a lot.

Since this is an online class, you'll be teaching yourself everything through mymathlab, so can be hard if you struggle with math. Homework is also through mymathlab and can be a bit frustrating,can complete it late with a penalty. There are only about 4 tests and weighed heavy so try hard. Discussions but are simple/important. Don't procrastinate.

Prof. Ivanova is great! She is organized and structured. Her teaching perfectly translates into her homework, tests, and quizzes-- they're also never too long. Has a thick accent, but she gives opportunities for extra cred every single class. She is easy to talk to in class as she teaches, she's nice, and she's accessible outside of class.

Mostly everything was independent learning. I'd recommend this class only if you're already good at math. Lots of homework assignments, but they're short/easy. Tests are 56% of your grade and you have to take them with this lockdown browser system that records you the entire time. Hard deadlines for tests, need 3 separate days for discussion posts.

She was a great professor. A lot of homework on math lab but it isn't too bad. Just keep on pace and you will do fine. Tests aren't too bad just review the homework and quizzes and you will do well.

As somebody who's infamously bad at math, I excelled at this class. It requires MyMathLab and Pearson. Lockdown Browser and a camera is required for tests. The homework can be bit time consuming but easy if you use the examples. Pretty easy class and she responds quickly to emails. The videos provided are a bit vague at times but the examples help.

This professor is excellent. She is so nice and caring, she accepts late assignments, give partial credit for wrong questions but right build up on tests. I am not very good with online classes, but this professor's method and pace helped me to do great in this course. She has a thick accent but it's nothing impossible to understand. 10/10 overall.

All you need to know is, test are 56% and are on respondus lockdown browser. Since it was an online class, you're going to have to teach yourself, or know most of it on your own. EASY easy easy. She WANTS you to pass. I'm really bad at math and got A's in both her classes... offers tons of help, resources, make-up work and tests even after the due date. Not at all strict with deadlines. If you're bad at math and NEED to graduate college, choose her as your instructor 1000%.

Professor Ivanova is great and understanding. She lets you make up homework assignments and only takes 5% off if its late. I really did a horrible on my first test. She wrote me a email, without me asking her and told me to retake it for a better grade! You cannot get a better professor than her.

I love Prof. Ivanova! Her class was really easy to pass. Be careful in her test though they are worth a good percentage of your grades. She has 4 discussions for each module and those are also very important! Overall it's honestly kinda hard to fail.

Her class is well-structured, providing both a textbook and a detailed google slide presentation for each lecture that thoroughly covers the material. The only issue I could see with this class is that most of the material is self-taught. However, I think the material provided is good enough for most people to do so. Class is also test heavy (56%)
