She is not a difficult teacher. You must come to every class and take notes and give her the essays to review before turning them in and you can get atleast a B-. She does have corny jokes though, but other than that not a bad teacher at all.

Corny jokes aside, she was a good teacher. She gets a little animated though, so be on the lookout. Class is pretty straightforward, but you have to come to class. If you go to class and do a good job on the papers you'll have no problem. She even offers to look over the papers first, so no excuses!

If you can make it through her boring two hour lectures, you can pass the class. Tests come from lecture and book, reading is not essential but I recommend it. Tests are not hard if you pay attention in class and/or read. Real snoozer though.

Yes, her lectures are a bit lengthy but informative. She is prepared for class. You have to read the textbook and on-line readings in addition to paying attention to her lectures. What a novel thought; you actually have to study! If you don't agree with your score for the written assignment ask her to review it again, she give you extra pts.

You do not need the book!! As long as you read her class lecture notes. You should be fine. I got a C because i did not study. However study her material. It's super interesting and she's a really interesting teacher. She's very "active"

Literally the best professor I've ever had, bar none. It's amusing to read all the bad reviews about her, how she is so hard, and whatnot. This is college, Mommy and Daddy are not going to baby you through these classes! Extremely professional and helpful- if you go to her office hours she'll get to know you and it'll be worth it on your grades.

This Professor teaches victimology like she is teaching a graduate class. Lots of reading, discussion posts, videos and articles. Her tests are not straight forward but is doable. She gives 60 mins for exams. She is better in class than online. 3 exams and discussion posts. Very time consuming. Avoid online if possible with this Professor.

Dr. Cohn is very nice. She is extremely knowledgeable on the topics being covered. Take notes on her lectures, read the assigned chapters, and study and you will be fine

Took this class for my minor and shocked how easy it was. I spent less than 5 hours a week on reading chapters, weekly readings, and lecture. She gives 13 quizzes, drops two, and an opinion paper. If you found this class hard, switch majors to see what a REALLY hard class is. I could not be happier with the outcome. She is always available to help.

Took this class online, at first I found it so difficult, but once I actually read the chapters and understood I started getting good grades on the quizzes. It isn't as bad when you get the hang of it. Just read the chapters carefully don't just skim through them. I recommend her class online.

Dr. Cohn is an interesting species- in a good way. She has a good sense of humor and is available all the time. She sends weekly updates reminding you to keep on pace, but her class was open format. She grades fairly. Her class consisted of weekly quizzes, biweekly discussion posts, and a paper. Pretty easy if you stay on track! Buy the textbooks!

Dr. Cohn is very nice and is ready to help in anyway possible. She's a tough grader, but very fair, and you will have to read the chapters every week to complete quizzes on them. The quizzes are easy because you can take them multiple times, and everything is done online!!!! Gives 12 weekly quizzes, 3 exams (4 chapters each), and 1 paper due.

Professor Cohn is such a great knowgledable proffessor belongs at a higher prestige school. Shes tough for those that dont keep up and dont review . Easy course devided up into 3 quarters. Each quarter 4 chapters then a summary exam 50?// PP & class discussions are super helpfull // get the book if you want an A // Super nice lady.

This was my first class with her. The class was pretty easy. She gives you until the end of the semester to turn all assignments. Weekly quizzes and a writing assignment. If you don't pass you're lazy and didn't do the work. I got a B+ and it was easy. No tricks or confusion. Just read your weekly chapter and quiz! Take her!

By far the easiest course i've taken at FIU. Very simple laid out course. As long as you do the study mate for each quiz you will pass all of them. She doesn't require lock down browser for her quizzes however very little to none of her questions are online. Want an easy A/B take this course.

Victimology online is an easy A. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. There is a quiz for every single section, studymate is provided & has all the questions and answers to study from, do them all and you will pass. Module reflection for each chapter, follow the guidelines and you will get an easy A. Hard to fail this class with all the answers given to you.

15 quizzes and 6 module reflections is what your grade mainly consist of. The class is self paced so you can complete it at your convenience. Super duper easy class and finished 5 weeks before the end of the semester so it's given me ample time to focus on my other courses. Just keep up with your work and I promise you will get an A.

The class test are NOT easy. answers cannot be found online. They are in the reading, her own book that has to be purchased which is expensive, and the online reading material. Tbh its a good class. Open format. Half due at a certain time half due at the end. Use the studymates. And buy the cheaper book. 6 500+ word essays. Easy class overall. Took me probably 3 weeks total to finish all the material and quizzes. Got an A+

Very interesting course. Weekly discussions and quizzes are one for a very long time (like 2 weeks). They are pretty tough so you MUST read the book and her online material.

Easy class for the most part. A quiz after every chapter, get 2 chances on all quizzes, 3 papers and 3 extra credit quizzes which you don't get 2 chances for. She answers to emails in a timely manner and is always in contact with the class through Remind. Gives about a month to complete each section.

I am taking this class remotely due to the pandemic. Every week you have a new reading, pre-class quiz (you get unlimited tries which is amazing) and a Packback assignment(a bit tedious at first but you get used to it). 3 exams and an extra credit quiz at the end of the semester. She is very sweet & helpful. Definitely recommend! Easy A/B!

Dr. Cohn and TA Sosa were very responsive. I liked that she used Remind to send reminders about deadlines. The quizzes are pretty hard, but I like that she gave 2 attempts on each one. The reflections are definitely doable. It was nice to have flexible due dates for assignments in case we had busy weeks, but its important to not procrastinate.

Professor Cohn was a great teacher and she was very sweet. She provides pre-recorded video lectures and PowerPoints for every chapter. She does not give much homework, there is one writing assignment, and 3 exams, and there is no way not to pass the class as long as you turn stuff in and pay attention.

Prof Cohn is nice and funny and her lectures aren't boring. there are knowledge checks every week, 3 exams, and one writing assignment. Being so honest, I didn't open the book or listen to the recorded lectures once and I passed with an A. Attendance is also extra credit and she is happy to answer any and all questions.

There's a 10-question quiz due every week, three 50-question online (non-proctored) exams, and one essay assignment that is honestly very easy. Attendance and exam 4 are extra credit. Took in the summer, honestly she was great. One discussion post, term split in 3 parts, about 6 quizzes each part you do at your own pace, you have 2 chances per quiz plus 3 extra credit quizzes. She sent constant reminders through Remind because her quizzes were due at 6pm not 11:59pm. Easy grader, interesting topics, super sweet, take her!

Really caring professor that wanted her students to learn from her. There are quizzes every week on that weeks chapter and three exams, nothing is lockdown browser. There is an essay but I wrote it 3 days before it was due and got an A. Class is not mandatory but attendance is extra credit. Overall great class
